"This is the east side's most awesome yoga studio. They offer a variety of tailored classes based on nearly everything you could be looking for in a yoga session: "chill," "restore," "sculpt," "sweat," "baby & me," etc. They also offer even more customized, one-on-one private sessions, as well as on-site classes at businesses and universities around Los Angeles. One Down Dog's class packages can be used at both their Eagle Rock and Silver Lake location."

Was in town visiting friends and stumbled upon One Down Dog. Their intro special was perfect and easy, and loved their classes and teachers were super nice and knowledgeable. I’ll come back when in town again!

Google
After trying one free yoga session, I then recently tried their intro offer for 21 days, and I am so happy I found this studio. I have just joined unlimited for the next 3 months. The first week, I did yoga every day, and the second and third weeks I alternated yoga with FIT and STRENGTH classes online with Audrey- amazing! In person, each instructor is easygoing and supportive, and all types of bodies go to this studio! Every instructor has something new to offer and each class is different. In addition to a variety of yoga classes, they have fitness classes including strength and circuit training. While I loved coming to the studio in Eagle Rock and will probably make it for more in-person classes after work, I am really grateful they also have so many online classes that can be done LIVE from home. Also very cool that you can visit any of the studios with your membership. I am really appreciative of the online fitness classes where we all keep our cameras on and someone is there live, coaching my form. I never feel judged or talked down to, everyone is very nice. What a gem of a spot to stay healthy and feel good about yourself!

Amazing all the way around From the instructors Hannah and Kim to the front desk Emma and Rae and the class itself Took the prenatal yoga class and it was a wonderful experience

Love this studio! Great variety of classes and teaching styles. Asia is a lovely addition to Sunday mornings.

One Down Dog is great! I’ve been attending 2-3 classes a week for nearly a year so far and don’t intend to quit. The staff and teachers are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend it!!

Love practicing Yoga here, for 8 years! The early classes work best for me, love the teachers/instructors!! Wish there were more takers for early classes, only to ensure we keep them! Thought 🤔 Early bird special rates may inspire! Peaceful time for Yoga!

Google
Awesome staff and class offerings in three L.A. local studios. For my first class, I chose a weekend Eagle Rock flow class taught by Pamela. The vibe is mellow and friendly and I was glad to invest in myself with a three-week unlimited trial membership. Virtual and on demand classes are also offered. Additionally, for being financially challenged such as someone like myself, there is a membership fund that can assist you. I emailed the staff and told what I could afford, and was graciously accommodated! I was impressed by the various students who attended my flow class, people in all shapes and sizes and yogic abilities. You can't go wrong trying out ODD, give it a consideration, or...in their websites' words...are you Down?!

Google
Fantastic community-oriented yoga studio which offers a variety of classes and workshops. The staff and instructors are inviting to all, no matter your fitness level or experience. It’s worth trying out a few classes because each is unique.

Yelp
Everyone is welcoming and positive! I like the Chill classes when I want a more meditative stretch, I like the Flow classes for a more upbeat flow, and I love/hate the Sweat classes, for when I want my a** kicked. I am a guy and new to yoga, both of which had me worried I'd feel out of place. But I don't, and never have. They had a good deal for my signing up before the end of January, too! The interior design is simple, but with good lighting and some plants here and there. The vaulted ceiling with wooden rafters is pleasant to look at when I'm reaching up for Triangle Pose. ODD is cozy in every way, and I love it. It's only a matter of time before I start crying when we're all lying silent on our mats during a cooldown. I'm grateful I get to take classes here.

Yelp
Wonderful community yoga studio with many talented instructors. Appreciate the unique styles of each instructor and variety of classes. Really loving Courtney's Weds chill class.

Yelp
The instructors were great, and I have had great experiences with the studio. It is newly remodeled and has a fantastic vibe, is clean and comfortable. The front desk staff is also excellent and organized. However, I have given this place a 4-star rating because contacting the MEMBERSHIP department is tricky. You have to email them, and sometimes they don't reply at all, or they reply five days later. I am having an unexpected major surgery and have a time-sensitive question.

Yelp
I really want to love ODD due to its convenient proximity to my home and super reasonable unlimited membership rate, but just can't get there. Admittedly, everyone's mileage will vary depending on what they're looking for in a Yoga class, but as someone who's pretty steeped in spiritual/wellness culture, ODD just doesn't do it for me. The ethos of the studio seems limited to "Yoga is a fun workout!" As a result, instructors can be excessively jokey and irreverent, and musical playlists are packed with pop music hits you'd expect to hear at a bar. In fact, the whole experience feels very intentionally stripped of any "Yogic vibes" in favor of blasting The Notorious B.I.G. while a teacher yells instructions at you with the pizzazz of a '90s aerobics video. While this all seems designed to appeal to the widest audience possible, which is great and democratizing, seasoned Yogis are advised to look elsewhere to develop their spiritual practices.

Yelp
I've been taking classes at ODD Eagle Rock since summer and it's by far the best studio I've ever been apart of. The ambience is amazing (clean, smells good, comfortable temperature) and the staff takes every precaution to make sure students are safe during the pandemic. My favorite instructors are Jack and Bobbi, though I've tried a couple others and they're great as well!! Make the investment in your health and well-being and sign up for some classes. You won't regret it:)

Yelp
I've been taking class at Eagle Rock ODD and have always loved them. I stopped, as y'all know, due to the pandemic. They were really nice and allowed me to suspend my membership for as long as I needed to. Even though they offer online classes I much prefer in person class; I try harder So when they re opened and started requiring proof of vaccination and masks, I was there! I really REALLY appreciate ODD taking steps in protecting everyone. I'm sure it was a hard call on this. I mean, let's be real, it's a yoga studio, it's a hot bed of anti vaxxers no?? (It's a joke, so please, no hate mails) Seriously though, thank you ODD for looking out for us.

Yelp
This is a welcoming studio with a cheap city parking lot right behind it. I went for a few months for weekly prenatal yoga. Overall the class was good, putting a focus on sharing and creating community by giving each pregnant student a change to talk at the top of class. The teaching itself was decent - fairly accessible though it's clear that the instructor has never been pregnant. The strangest thing about the class was the lack of modifications (some talk of blocks and bolsters, but lots more room to give non-seasoned practitioners options depending on their specific needs and concerns) and most importantly: zero talk of core engagement. Especially considering coning later in pregnancy and diastasis recti prevention as well as overal pelvic floor and (lower) back stability as joints get looser, it's so important to emphasize and cue proper core activation. It's a myth that you cannot or should not do this in pregnancy, so the complete absence of it in this class made me trust the teaching at this studio less.

Yelp
Normal yoga classes with more focus on stretching exercise than high intensity exercise or meditation, what you might expect based on the vibe of the photos here

Yelp
I came in town for a week. I read the reviews on the help. I was highly spoken of. So I went over and tried it. I definitely would recommend this studio. Thank you.

Yelp
One Down Dog (ODD) is my very first small business yoga experience that prioritizes community over anything else. I started here just a little bit over a year ago and I keep coming back. There are plenty of options to get involved, grow, learn, practise, and workshop with the plethora amount of activities to participate outside of just a yoga class. ODD is the place if you're looking for a one of a kind local yoga spot who supports other local businesses in the area as well. Check it out even if you don't yoga, there are plenty of items to shop for anyone from their retail section :)

Yelp
I have been a member of ODD for almost a year now and started off with a very generous Groupon. Now, I am on a package plan and attend yoga once a week. My go to class is the Flow with Adam because it fits my schedule but I can see that ODD has a vast variety of options all throughout the day which is super rare for a studio. I like the Flow because it gives me a good workout and allows me to sweat a bit and stretch out after a long day of work. I have taken the Thursday PM Chill class here as well but stopped coming as it was too cost prohibitive. The class packages vary but you will end up paying around $12-$15 per class when its all said and done. Parking is very easy and if you drive one block past the studio, there is no need to feed the meter because its open street parking. Although ODD offers other "services" such as soudbath, reiki, meditation, etc, I have not experienced any of them because they are not my "thing". I got use to the chanting after taking a few classes and although many members are really into it, I am not, which is perfectly ok because I dont feel pressured to join in. Anyhow, I love this studio and will continue getting my yogi on with them.

Yelp
Oct. 9, 2016 I would rather give 2 1/2 stars if I could, but that's not an option. Finally tried this place out thanks to Groupon. I couldn't wait to do my ten classes!! I have to say though, after my first class, I couldn't wait for the other nine classes to end!! I've tried many forms of exercise at several different studios and I hate to say this, but I was so miserable here. Why was I miserable?!?! The class kicked my ass which is a great thing. I sweated a whole lot which I loved (it's kind of warm for the sculpt class), but since I'm not familiar with the yoga terms and positions, I had a hard time keeping up to the point where I just stayed in childs pose until the instructor finally moved on to a different repetition. At times it was so fast paced and even though she repeated the steps about three times, I just couldn't get it. I was SO FRUSTRATED at times! For me, cardio barre was easier for me to get/understand/follow along. Not here. I took the SAME CLASS ten times, and just when I thought I knew what the hell she was talking about, my body/mind didn't get it. I HATE not knowing what I'm doing!! That's what took away my enjoyment for exercising at this place. The plus side was using the 3 lb weights and doing the ab exercises when we weren't doing chaturangas. My daughter took a few classes with me, and she also didn't enjoy it that much for the same reasons. I think we will stick with non-yoga classes or maybe take easier/slower classes meant for beginners. Maybe by then, I/we will figure it out. They sell some workout clothes. A little pricey. Be careful when you go into the restroom. I almost fell. The mat in front of the sink has no grip and it slid when I stepped onto it.

Yelp
Have been waiting for their new location on Glendale Blvd to open. Some building issues have delayed it, so I went "all the way" over to their flagship location on Sunset. Totally worth it! Great new-student deal - $50 unlimited for the first month - and fabulous teachers. There should be a payoff for a student who listens carefully and does all the poses as put together by the teacher. Sometimes I can't show up 100%, but if I do, the teacher, their sequencing, and cueing better meet me there! I totally get that when I go to this studio. Plus, its big enough for even the busy classes to not feel cramped (haven't been in "studio 2" yet). Overall great place!

Yelp
I was looking for a prenatal yoga class, and I liked that they had a variety of times and teachers. And there are classes that are appropriate for pregnant women beyond the prenatal schedule. The classes fit with my work schedule and was conveniently located. They had an introductory option of unlimited classes for a month, which let me try out a variety of different classes and teachers. The studio was clean, welcoming, and had a lot props available to use. When I decided to continue my membership, they offered a variety of passes and I picked one that matched my budget and schedule. During the COVID pandemic, ODD has switched to a Zoom platform. There's a variety of classes, and for expecting moms, there are multiple prenatal classes available throughout the week. They actually listen to their clients and try to find times/dates that work best for the members. Joana is awesome and works all your requests into the workout. She really creates a warm and supportive community. I also like the app-- which makes it easy to book classes, add reminders to my calendar, and see my passes.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE One Down Dog (ODD)! After graduating from college, I was trying to find a yoga studio that I could enjoy on a regular basis. I had tried one previous to ODD and it's not the same. They had great classes, but I didn't feel welcomed and I wasn't as comfortable as I am at ODD. Yoga is one thing (ODD yoga is the best yoga), but it's another thing to make your customers feel at ease when practicing yoga. ODD's group of teachers and staff are amazing because they go out their way to say hi and ask for your name, in general, they make a point to talk to you and I love that because a little gesture like that goes a long way. It also just makes my yoga practice feel so much better to know that the people around me genuinely care about the well-being of their yogis. Keep being ODD! :) They have an awesome deal for newcomers to get a feel for the studio and the variety of classes they offer. $50 for 30 days!!!

Yelp
This review is solely for the management. Customer service is sorely lacking. Unfortunately, this place only cares about money. Really disheartening coming from a yoga studio. I purchased a 10-class Groupon and arrived to take my 5th or 6th class. After class I was informed that my Groupon had expired a few days prior and I needed to pay for the class. They also said it was their fault for not informing me that the Groupon expired within 3 months of activation, since they didn't have my email address. I don't know why they couldn't have told me while I was there previously, or called me. Even admitting it was their fault, they still said there was nothing they could do, and I had to pay in full for the class or purchase a 17-class pass or other package on a small discount. Are you kidding me? I obviously had trouble even using 10 classes and you are now trying to sell me more after completely shafting me? They didn't even have the courtesy to let me know BEFORE I took the class, so not only did I have to pay in full for a class that I already paid for (via Groupon), but they totally ruined any yogi benefit I had derived from the class, since I left pissed. The right thing for them to do would have been to comp the class as a courtesy, and extend my Groupon by a week. Even just the comp alone would've been fine. I would've considered purchasing additional packages here, but now I won't go back, nor will I tell any of my friends to go there. Very poor customer service that left a sour taste in my mouth.

Yelp
As good as it gets! I've taken yoga at many, many studios in LA over the years and this one is my favorite! Incredibly consistent high level of teaching, so many classes there's no chance of not being able to find time for practice. I've only attended the "flow" and "chill" classes so far. Sometimes the "chill" type classes at other places are a little TOO chill for me, but at ODD I still feel like I'm getting a good practice in and I'm never bored. Every teacher I've encountered has been inspiring and fun! Prices are very reasonable especially if you sign up for autopay options. Although they say all classes are all-level, I would say that for the classes I've taken some yoga experience is helpful - not every pose is broken down in a way that would work for absolute beginners. I understand they do have a beginner level class, and although I haven't taken it I'd suggest to start with that if you're brand new to yoga. Only drawback I can think of is the parking. Yes, they have a metered lot in back and plenty of metered street parking (but only 1 hour) surrounding, but the meters never seem to work and I've had a parking ticket there so I just drive a couple of blocks away to find free street parking. It's worth it though to go to this great studio!

Yelp
I love you all! Thank you for unlimited yoga online! You're making my life so much better in quarantine; teaching remotely. Grateful! Want to stop by and shop now but you're closed

Yelp
Absolute best yoga studio I've ever been to. Classes and teachers are amazing. I love that every class is all levels, and you go based on what mood/kind of workout you want. All the teachers are fantastic, and it's fun having the option of trying all different times and classes if you're an unlimited member. I occasionally buy really cute local yoga clothes as well, and I've loved everything I've ever purchased. The eagle rock location is less crowded than silverlake which I really like, and has more of a relaxed vibe. Parking is super easy- 50c-$1 for metered parking or usually street parking a block away. There are no lockers, but the cubbies are monitored by the front desk and I've never heard of an issue ever with that.

Yelp
I began courting ODD about a year and a half ago. Their intro package is unbeatable - one month unlimited for like $50 for locals. Classes are otherwise $25 (yikes!) but with discounted packages if you buy in bulk. They offer a variety of classes throughout the day, from meditation to cardio sweat, with a number of great instructors to choose from. During COVID they moved the studio online with the same great teachers and classes at an assortment of times that will surely fit anyone's schedule. Classes still feel intimate even through Zoom, and I actually find myself attending more frequently these days since I can squeeze in a class during my workday now that I'm working from home. I just completed their 30-class challenge for the month of August (YES!! Feeling like a champ!!) and intend to keep up the class load for as along as I can. They've also just started evening outdoor classes in their Echo Park studio parking lot if that's your jam. Thank you, ODD, for building a thriving community online and IRL! You are keeping your members sane and pushing forward through the pandemic!

Yelp
I love starting days at One Down Dog! It's a great studio--friendly staff, fun mix of classes, and a schedule that goes from early mornings to after 9PM on weekdays. If you have a hectic work schedule, it's nice to be able to book classes at either the Eagle Rock or Silver Lake location and use the ODD mobile app to make a reservation quickly. Some of my favorite classes include FLOW with Caitlin and SCULPT with Aubrey, both of which have a mix of challenging poses and relaxing moments. The classes go quickly and I always leave feeling happy and rejuvenated. At the Eagle Rock location, the street parking spots have meters but at least they're free before 8AM and it's usually pretty easy to find a spot.

Yelp
This place is more than you could ask for from a yoga studio. It gives you a welcoming community, a whole lot of fun, and supportive vibe. They open their arms to you and you can dig in as much or as little as you want. It's filled with amazing people and amazing classes. Go to be you in the best way possible.

Yelp
I took a Flow class during lunchtime at 12:15 Thursday with Natalie and it was pretty packed! I barely made it on time and ended up being in the back which can be a good thing.... but only if the people around you know what you're doing otherwise if you aren't a regular at this class it may be confusing when people do different moves which sometimes happen. It's quite warm in the room we took the class in but Natalie was very nice and the music/sound system was bomb! I broke a sweat. Bring your own yoga mat and water bottle otherwise i believe there is a charge. I would come back, I just really like how the music is loud and soothing. The bathroom is in the workout room and they do have cubbies in the workout room too..but I just put all my stuff in the cubbies up front since everyone else does it so I followed suit. It was welcoming of Natalie to welcome the newbies at the end of class so I liked that. Parking is AWFUL. There's one hour meters but the class will run over so it's a risk. Plus since it was a Thursday they had street cleaning from 11AM-1PM!!!! After successfully parking I read the sign and had to circle around some more. Good luck and give yourself more than 15 mins to park because everyone else is doing the same thing for the class!

Yelp
I love this yoga studio as a boutique yoga studio. It's not as nice as others, but it's great for those looking to diversify their practice. PROS: -Awesome, energetic, and CREATIVE instructors -variety of classes: BUTI (my favorite-- it's so different, high energy, definitely pushes me out of my comfort zone, Karen is amazing), sweat, flow, sculpt, etc. CONS: -no lockers, there are cubbies in the entry hallway, which I don't feel super secure about -one single bathroom, inside the studio -street parking I've been practicing yoga for years. I've enjoyed chains such as Yogaworks or Corepower, but I think One Down Dog beats them out in terms of their practice because I feel like they are actually unique.

Yelp
One Down Dog is AWESOME. I've never been much of a yoga person, but a gifted Groupon led me here and I've actually since purchased an unlimited month as part of their March Bingo Challenge. The studio is relaxing and smells like essential oils. So far I've taken Flow, Sweat, Sculpt, and Chill. I think Flow is my favorite. The instructors are super motivating and down to earth, and I've left every class feeling super relaxed. Parking is pretty ample if you go down Caspar street. PS: if anyone is interested in their New Student Special of 30 days unlimited for $40, please let me know! As part of the #ODDBINGO challenge we need to refer someone to grab their new student special. If you're planning on signing up anyways, please help me out! :) Seriously, this place is fantastic and you will not regret giving One Down Dog a go.

Yelp
I was in search of a yoga studio that would provide online classes during quarantine and I came across One Down Dog last December. Thank goodness! The virtual studio has been a true happy place for me during these challenging days of COVID. I am so impressed by the exceptional teachers, the variety of classes offered, and the overwhelming kindness of the ODD community. It's a studio that fully embraces nourishing the mind, body, and spirit. Namaste!

Rachel M.

Yelp
Let me preface by saying I really really don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for small businesses but I feel it's important people know what they're getting into at One Down Dog. I have been practicing yoga for 17 years and consider myself a pretty skilled, advanced yogi (crow poses, head stands, very flexible - especially after a few weeks of practice, etc) however this studio is like one I have never encountered. If you are a beginner do NOT go to this studio! You will be turned off by yoga entirely. No where that I've seen in the descriptions does it mention this studio is not for beginners. The classes place little to no connection to spirituality and meditative aspects of yoga. This studio is more like yoga boot camp/aerobics/cross fit with what I consider distracting music blasting. Sweat plays house music, one of the flow classes also has an intense play list. Also I don't want to name names but one of the teachers specifically motivates by shaming students, unlike anything I've ever seen at a yoga studio. Some of the flow classes are ok but some are not like any flow classes I've ever taken and don't seem to have a flow to them at all. It's hard to even understand the instruction of some of the teachers. I feel some of the people at the front desk have acted kind of pretentious and rude which I expect maybe at Gucci on Rodeo but not an eagle rock yoga studio. While neighboring Glendale Yoga and Namaste Yoga (both yoga studios I absolutely love) offer free mats to students, at one down dog you have to pay. The single classes are far and away the most expensive in the area. $20 for one hour (namaste yoga is $17 for hour and 15 min) so once they kept promoting the $40 for unlimited month deal, of course I took advantage and paid $20 more to practice yoga for the full month. I feel like one down dog misses the entire mind body connection with yoga and it's all about body body body and how far one can push themselves physically. While I enjoy this in kick boxing classes, drills, HIIT exercises, I really don't enjoy this in yoga. You can offer a power yoga or advanced class and get a great work out without having to listen to nightclub music and get shamed by drill sergeants. If cross fit yoga is your thing than one down dog is the place for you.

Candace F.

Yelp
One Down Dog is just about the worse. I went once. Paid $50 because $25 was WAY too much so I thought I'd go a bunch of times to make up for it over the next 30 days. But I never went back. The instructor was nice but the class was like a yoga class at your local YMCA... just in an updgraded setting. We took a bolster, blanket, and blocks from the back and it's worth noting that at the end of class we returned them to the same location, explicitly told where to replace them, not separating soiled items or wiping them down. During the class the instructor used many moves that had us touching our faces. I found it odd and uncomfortable because I never want to touch my face when I'm out in public. This was in January pre-COVID mania. I was never inspired to return. Note to self: if the first class isn't free, don't even bother. Turn around. If the studio doesn't believe in the class supporting and speaking for itself- listen! I never once got an email or text in the 30 days asking me to make use of my one month membership. So I when I got a text the day after my trial ended, I kind of assumed it would be someone saying they were extending my membership as I had never used it. NOPE!!! It was a discount offer to purchase a ten class package. Are you kidding me?! The audacity. Over the next several weeks (months). I've continued to receive text and emails inviting me to purchase more classes... but interesting, not to attend. Maybe I shouldn't hold yoga studios to a different standard, but I do. the work that is being done in the studio is to make you more aware and mindful of others outside of the studio. Everything about this studio from the class personality to the barrage of communications asking for money let's me know this is simply a business with fitness as it's motto. Not my cup of tea at all.

Yelp
I have been coming to ODD for quite some time now and I just love it for just a few of the reasons I willie took below: 1. Sweat class on Saturdays with Audrey is a killer!!! But it feels sooooo good afterwards. I'll admit... I kind of dread it because I know it'll be a work out but when you're done, there's a sense of accomplishment and endorphin rush that lasts the entire day. 2. Flow class with Courtney. I just love her happy voice. It makes me feel so relaxed and I love how her classes are challenging but yet the time goes by so quickly. She's also very good about fixing your posture which is so nice because you think you're doing things correctly... turns out- you're wrong!!! 3. Flow classes with Jeff. He's funny and classes are entertaining, but his flow classes can also be a challenge... also another teacher that will point out when your poses are off which I greatly appreciate. He also sets aside time to practice crow pose and other difficult arm exercises and gives a demo himself (though he makes it look so easy which is disgusting) :P 4. The overall vibe here is so chill, positive, and relaxed. Even when I've had a bad day or feeling anxious or rushed, I step in here and it's all good. It's so nice to have an awesome neighborhood yoga studio that I can be a part of.

Yelp
took advantage of the $40 new student special (great deal!) and during those 30 days, took about eight classes. Ducky Punch's Sunday morning chill was awesome. She's an experienced teacher, leads an inspiring class, and isn't of adjusting students. All of the other classes I participated in were flow classes, led by young/new-ish teachers. The classes were comprised of young 20-somethings, probably due to the studio's proximity to Occidental. As ODD's site mentions, this studio has BIG focus on music. And they crank it up during flow. Sometimes it drowns out the instructions of the teacher, so it feels more like a Spinning for fitness class than a yoga class. If that's your get-down, this is the place for you. But, if you want detailed instruction or an occasional adjustment, keep looking. That's not the focus of ODD's flow.

Yelp
My husband & I started at ODD about a month ago. I had done yoga before -but was way out of practice and he was a total newbie. We did the new student special $40 for 30 days! We made it a point to go to class every day ( we did miss last friday though). Tonight will be our 26th class. We have taken a variety of classes and even a few classes at the Silverlake studio. ( Basics, Flow, Chill, Flowdown, Restore - mainly) We recently both signed up for their unlimited monthly plan. Both our bodies and minds feel so much better. For me Yoga provides both a physical and emotional release. Since we started I have lost 6 pounds- but gained 2 pounds lean body mass. (the only other exercise I have been doing is walking my dog- Polly Esther) I have found the front desk staff and teachers to be kind, friendly and helpful. I have watched teacher's gently guide my husband if he is doing a pose wrong (again a total beginner) and also do the same for me. Some classes/teachers are definitely more challenging than others- but I think the biggest thing is to at least try and let go of your ego. I have laughed and cried(in a good way) in classes at ODD. I am so excited that we have started our Yoga journey here.

Yelp
I love this yoga studio! I have been going here for more than year. I actually stopped going to this studio but then come back to One Dog Down a year later because I missed it so much!! From the staff to the teachers, everyone has been really welcome and kind to me. It truly is a community of yogis just trying to spread positivity into the world.

Yelp
I was invited by a friend to the baby and me class and was shocked to find out it was $25. Ouch! It's a nice space but the price seems unfair. ‍

Yelp
I love the vibe here. Everyone is really really welcoming. I'm not very good at being social but the staff, fellow students, and instructors don't let that deter them from getting to know you and welcome you into the family. They have many types of classes basically every hour so if one type of class isn't your speed there is definitely one with an amazing instructor lined up here at a different class. It's done amazing with helping me have time to focus on doing something for me and push myself. It's a genuinely fun and relaxing space. Introvert or extrovert.

Yelp
A really terrific local yoga place that is part of a small chain that started in Los Feliz/Silverlake. The space is large and the staff I have met is professional and likable. It isn't a hot yoga type of place and friendly to people who are casual yoga practitioners. You can rent a yoga mat for only a few bucks, there is a common metered parking area it shares with adjoining businesses, membership is shared with its other locations (double check this may change if they grow a lot), and they have regular specials for new customers. If you're lucky they are occasionally on Groupon, which is nice but also means you aren't considered new after redeeming it. Recommend!

Yelp
I moved to Eagle Rock earlier this year and was excited to find that a yoga studio was so close to me. I didn't realize how lucky I was that the studio was One Down Dog! From my first visit, I felt a sense of community in the classes; I felt no pretentiousness or judgement, only inclusion, acceptance and encouragement. Now, after practicing at ODD as a monthly-unlimited member for a few months, I feel like I am part of the community and I'm so very grateful that this space has been created for me to deepen and expand my yoga practice. There are a great variety of classes (and a great number of classes offered!) taught by truly talented/loving/giving teachers who are clearly passionate about their craft and who encourage and uplift and inspire. I cannot recommend ODD enough! It really is fantastic!!

Love this place!!! It can be a little spendy but they have a huge variety of yoga classes you can take! It's def a younger crowd and some classes play some radio music which makes it fun!! I also get a workout from some of the classes and end up being super sore the next day which is awesome!!!!!!

Yelp
My absolute favorite yoga studio chain. The teachers are exceptional and they have a great variety of classes from sweat to yin. And it's one of the most affordable studios in the LA area compared to all of the others for the quality and atmosphere you're getting.

Yelp
Worst class I've ever taken in my life. Left half way through and they still had me pay for the class

Yelp
Love this place and have been a regular for over two years now. The studio is great and everyone that works there is pleasant. Have tried a lot of the teachers, both in Eagle Rock and Silverlake, and each have their own style and bring something different. Haven't really experienced a teacher I dislike, but a special shout out to Hallie A. who's one of the main reasons why yoga is part of my regular routine now. Music is booming during classes here, which I find to be an important element of the positive atmosphere. There is a full slate of classes offered during all hours of the day covering a range of skill levels. There is also a useful app that you can download for easy access to schedules and your membership details. The studio itself is always clean and they provide just about all the props you may need for class, and the prices are reasonable too. I'm a happy ODD'r!

Yelp
Wowie!!! This place is a dream! Caitlin's Monday night chill is the bomb.com/sogood! I love the front desk and all the teachers I got the chance to check out during my new student special (best way to get a feel for what's classes/teachers are your ~vibe~) Helpful tip: CHECK THE WEBSITE!! The class descriptions give you a wonderful look into what you are about to get ourself into. And the teachers all have lovely bios to get a small taste of their teaching style. TRY IT OUT!!

Yelp
Great yoga near my hood! Situated in the wonderfully busy intersection of Colorado Blvd and Eagle Rock Blvd, ODD provides a hip space for a variety of practices. THe long hallway provide cubbies for everyone's belongings. The Front Desk, which is more like a Middle Desk, has a friendly staff member to greet you. When you sign up for classes, you're given a little ODD plastic key fob with barcode that scans your info in for easy check-in! So cool! Near the Middle Desk is a bunch of items for sale - from yoga clothing to mats to jewelry from local artisans. I love that they provide different types of yoga to satisfy every person's needs! So far I've gone to 1 SWEAT class and 2 FLOW classes. Sweat was pretty good - definitely hard work and I look forward to the next time I'll attend. Flow classes with Jessica are great - she's very focused yet mixes things up. It doesn't feel like you're doing a ton of moves, but you're working hard and well at the ones you are doing. Yoga is no fun when it's boring and ODD is not boring!

Yelp
I love One Down Dog. I have been going to the studio for almost two years now, and it's exactly what I need in this LA craziness. The sense of community is really strong, everyone is happy and welcoming. Classes are all levels, meaning that someone new to yoga and someone who is a pro yogi can equally benefit from the classes. I loved the studio so much that I signed up for their Teacher Training program and became even more involved with this community of amazing people and I wouldn't trade it for everything. This studio not only helped me grow physically, but spiritually and socially! It's a very special place.

Yelp
Found this studio via groupon and learned it's walking distance from my house! So far I have taken a Flow, Chill, and Sweat class based on how I'm feeling that day. I like the fact that no 2 classes or instructors teaching style are the same and involve various equipment options. The instructors are very easy going and helpful. I use their app for easy booking and cancelling classes as well. The merchandise they carry is so cute from the jewelry to the premium activewear. I may get a short term membership after my groupon is up!

Yelp
Best yoga studio ever! All inclusive, all bodies, genders, styles, abilities, etc! I have never felt welcome in the yoga community until I found ODD. I have been coming here for over a year and love it. The teachers are terrific, the music is great, the classes are a plenty and the vibes are just right! Look no further, this is your new yoga home away from home!

Yelp
Overall I'd go with a 3.5. This is one of those westernized studios where yoga is practiced as physical exercises rather than a path practiced by yogis traditionally for a spiritual aim. Where you'd hear less OM but more of 'you can do it'. While the stripped down method of practice ensues either sweat or well being, depends on which types of classes you take, one goes away with a gym session. The classes are provided as SWEAT, CHILL, FLOW, BUTI...etc. I find the classes tend to go sweaty except CHILL. Never found BUTI (as dance and shake buti?) my kind of tea. One issue I noticed in the classes here is that they tend to do the same set of postures 2 or 3 times in the stretch of an hour+ instead of going through once (as in each asana done 2 to 3 times in a complete series). In the other word, you'd be doing chair 3x2 = 6 times while taking 3~4 breaths in each pose. I find this class structure overworks certain parts of the body while ignoring other parts of body, which might be benefitted from more varieties of asanas. Easy street parking makes it an easier trip.

Yelp
My most favorite yoga studio! The studio is cleaned and nice. The staffs are friendly and funny too. I like most of instructors there. My most favorite is Cindy. There have different classes for all levels including toddlers! Yoga are expensive but the price here is very reasonable. I love their workshop so I can practice advance poses that I cannot do it by myself or they aren't often provided in class. Overall, I like this place but wish there're bathrooms. So I can go straight to places without coming back home for a shower.

Yelp
Love this beautiful studio. Affordable, locations all over east LA, and best of all great classes (especially flow w Essence/Natalie and chill w Adam). I've taken Yoga classes all over East LA and I keep coming back to ODD.
