Google
My friend recommended me to eat at this restaurant, and when I arrived, I found out that I had tried it before! The decoration is still the same, and the food we ordered tastes good. My sisters love seafood pancakes and beef tofu soup! Everything all good, server was great as well. The only thing is the restaurant doesn't have AC. They give us an electric fan, it's so much better.😄 We will be back for sure!

Google
This place exceed my expectations, this is such a heartwarming place and service. I was staying a long weekend and couldn’t help but go twice and eat there, I wish I could have go more because all is so delicious and precios. The customer service is excellent and the owner is very special, thanks for being like that, I hope your business and family is blessed🥹🫶🏽어머니가 정말 감사합니다!!

Google
I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Their tofu beef soup tastes like the person in the kitchen loves their craft and understands food. There is actually depth to the flavors in all their dishes, but the soup keeps me coming back. Only go if you’re prepared to have a new addiction

Food was absolutely delicious!! The atmosphere is so nice and chill and our waitress was so wonderful and helpful! I wish we lived in Tampa so we could order takeout out from here all the time!!

Google
This cozy spot is absolutely adorable! I love the intimate eating nooks; it feels like a warm and welcoming place, just like visiting a family member’s house for a meal. The food is so comforting and nourishing, it truly warms the soul. Definitely a spot to return to for a nice cozy meal with friends ♥️

Google
They should be a small family run restaurant. During dinner time, although they are busy, you will not see too many staff. Our waitress was too busy and she had to do a lot of things by herself, so she lacked care for us. The food is good, it is a more authentic Korean taste, and the ingredients are also fresh. If you want to come, please make a reservation because they have limited seats.

Google
Great food very tasty, super fast and service Dani was great gave us great recommendations. Had a great time thank you for a great dinner for my family.

Google
We felt it was authentic and true to the culture. We highly enjoyed the food atmosphere and service. If you’re expecting an Americanized version of Korean food this is not the place.

Yelp
We drive an hour to eat here, it's THAT good. Very authentic tucked away in a corner of the Korean plaza. We've been multiple times and the food is so good every single time. We really enjoy it and the service is always welcoming and friendly.

Yelp
Something different for us on a visit to Tampa, Korean food. I've only had Korean a few times and was a bit apprehensive visiting One Family, but it does have some pretty glowing reviews. It wasn't very busy and not very large, and it was nice inside. Our server was right over to take drink orders. We started looking through the menu. I finally came up with Hot Stone Bibimbap (R2), a rice bowl with veggies, a fried egg, and I chose beef as my protein. When it arrived, I discovered it was a hot stone bowl, quite hot and kept the food inside hot for much of the meal. I learned after doing a little post-meal research that this attractive colorful bowl has been a popular Korean meal for centuries. Lucky for me they provided wooden chopsticks, I would have really struggled eating out of a bowl with the metal ones. They also have forks for those of us who are need them. How was the food? I'm not the best person to evaluate. That said, it wasn't too impressed. I don't adapt that well to different cuisines and I didn't know I should stir everything up when I started. There wasn't as many vegetables as I would have liked. My wife got their grilled ribs (Galbi) and I had a couple, the meat was tough. I also sampled marinated beef (Bulgogi) and that was excellent. I thought our overall bill for three people was high, my dish was the least expensive.

Yelp
Not memorable to eat at again for the price. Not bad food but just a one time try. I had the wings with ricecakes.

Yelp
We always love coming here. Food is always fresh and delicious. Their side dishes are always so good. I love the fish cakes. Always friendly and fast service compared to other restaurants around. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
We used to frequent one family often but it's been years since moving. Was craving Korean and ordered through Ubereats. We had beef bulgogi 2/5 , Korean fried chicken 3/5, short rib stew 3/5 and fried dumplings 4/5 . The portions were much smaller than what I remember and nothing really stood out in terms of flavor. Everything was bland and didnt tickle my taste buds as good Korean food usually does. For 3 entrees and 1 appetizer was over $100 and not worth the cost . I don't mind paying for good food but probably won't be craving one family for awhile .

Yelp
We came here after getting off the plane at TPA. Saw high reviews and couldn't wait to try a family owned place. The ambiance was great; cozy, intimate and by the end of our meal around8pm, the place had no additional seating on a Saturday night. I debated whether to evaluate this like other Korean food I've had in New York,California, or even Annandale, VA as this is Florida after all where perhaps Koreans and Korean food might not be plenty. But I decided that I should still evaluate with that standard so that others with a more critical palate can judge for themselves. The jigae portion was slightly smaller than I am used to but packed with seafood. My only complaint is that they didn't ask us for spiciness level. To be fair, I didn't remember until the food came and I tasted the stew. It looked red hot but probably an equivalent of hot in the other states I mention. If you want more heat, you might need to specify. As for the japchae, it was definitely too salty and you needed to cut it with white rice. The noodles were not as bouncy as others I've had. It may be a preference thing, but between the sogginess saltiness and oiliness, it wasn't as satisfying as I had hoped.

Yelp
One of my favorite Korean restaurants in the area. It's been a while since I've been here, but I still love it. If you like fatty meat, their Galbi is top notch. I came for lunch and got the Galbi, the Bulgogi and the Kim bob. All are very good. They don't have a lunch menu so you will be getting dinner prices and dinner portions. I find bulgogi can be dry some places, but it was great here. The Galbi was my favorite by far and it comes with a lot of it. It came steaming hot, which was nice. They didn't have fish cakes with the banchan which I was kind of sad about, because I love fish cakes. Otherwise their banchan was pretty standard. Their parking lot was pretty full, but I could find a spot. This place is hard to find, so make sure you are going to the way back of the parking lot. Service was good, we never felt rushed, but I was also able to get the check at about the hour mark so we could go back to work. This won't be a speedy shove it into your lunch break spot, but it is a nice place to have a more leisurely lunch. The place does look almost like you're dining in someone's house. I enjoy this type of atmosphere.

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing! The indoor environment was nice, quiet, and perfect for a dinner date. The staff is also very friendly, checking all the time everything is good. The food was delicious, and the portions were huge. I tried the Seafood Pajeon, a very tasty pancake. Also, the beef hot pot was delicious. The broth was very flavorful and not salty at all compared to other broths I tried before. Finally, I tried the Lychee Soju. It was a good drink to have with all the food. I'm going back soon to try the rest of the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
This was an incredible restaurant! The decor inside is very nice as it has some private booths and the ceiling is dark with string lights, making it look like a starry sky. The food here is amazing! I tried the Bulgogi Hot Pot Stew and Seafood Pajeon and Lychee Soju. The stew was hearty and sweet from the bulgogi and had tasty glass noodles. The seafood pajeon was a seafood crispy pancake and was very generous on the seafood part. The lychee soju was sweet and refreshing. The meal's portion sizes are very big and enough to share between 2 people. The entree also came with banchan, small delicious side dishes, most of which are assorted pickled vegetables. The customer service was great, they were friendly and attentive, we never had to wait long for anything.

Yelp
I wanted some good homestyle Korean cooking tonight... so went to One Family. I was thinking Galbi, but when I got there... I remembered there were several happy mentions of the Korean Fried Chicken they do. So ordered that. Service was perfect... very, very good. There was Korean reality TV on right next to my table, which was fine since I was alone and had no desire for conversation. It was entertaining... the cast of characters seemed like happy people. My chicken arrived, and looked yummy. I love the banchan here too... they do a really good job with it. Chicken was good... not quite as crunchy as some other places, and maybe a touch overcooked. But tasty. Rice was perfect too. I always mean to come here more often since they are close to me... will have to do that.

Yelp
Just moved to the area 6 months ago and had been very disappointed with every restaurant we have eaten at. So we were extremely happy when we found this place. The place is small, however it was the Best Korean food we have had in years and we are very picky about our food. The seafood Jun was great as were all the sides. I especially enjoyed the fish cakes. Normally they are very dry and tough. These were cooked with some onions and were very tender. My wife got the tofu kimchi spicy soup. It was delicious and not too spicy. I had the bulgogi and it was excellent. We definitely found our new Korean restaurant. Not we Just need to find an Italian, Greek, sushi and Indian restaurant.

Yelp
Another amazing night at One Family Korean. Food was amazing! Service was speedy! Calm ambience. We love coming here! I wouldn't recommend uber eating the delicious entrees. Best served from stove to table. ‍
google avatar

Rianne D.

Yelp
I would say the food is delicious. The bulgogi could be a little more marinated and juicy though. The soft tofu soup was delicious. Service was good and attentive, even though it was the waitress's first day on the job so I told her no worries. Small place but I didn't mind.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place out for so long!!! I am so happy I finally did. The food was delicious!!! I tried ttukbokki (rice cakes) and they were so good simmered in a delicious sauce and covered in cheese. The kimchi pajeon is a flavor bomb!!! The fried dumpling reminded me of lumpia but in dumpling form. My friend got the kimchi jjigae and wow it was spicy and comforting. Everything was just so good. On top of the food being amazing the service was as well. Our waitress was very attentive and super friendly. The restaurant itself feels very warm and inviting. I can't wait to go back and try some new menu items.

Yelp
So glad I found this place. It's like a hidden gem! The staff were great. The food was delicious. We ordered the Korean pancakes, soup and entrees. The restaurant was cute, it reminded of a cute house.

Yelp
Hot Stone bibimbap 10/10 sides bring it to a 12/10, must try! Cute atmosphere and good service :)

Yelp
Im still dreaming of this place. I went here last night with an old friend and omg my mouth is watering just thinking about what we had. All the good was wonderful and I actually mean it when I say I'm coming back here and I'm bringing my family. The short rib hot pot was literally perfect! And the seafood pancake was so tasty. We were also greeted immediately and the staff was super nice and helpful and suggested what we should get. We went with their choice and so glad we did. The outside of the building doesn't look like much but the inside is super cute. Can not wait to come back here!

Yelp
Small place with amazing food. Great service. Truly a hidden gem. If you want authentic Korean food this is the place to go.
google avatar

Sasha F.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place because I've heard great things and the place was so cute!! It felt like you went to your grandmas house for dinner and she was about to cook you the best meal of your life, but the food was okay and we were rushed to order. We had the fried dumplings, the Korean style wings and rice cake. I think if we would have gotten some of the entrees instead of appetizers we would have had a better taste experience. I would come back and choose other things like the japchae or bulgolgi.
google avatar

Krisna K.

Yelp
My family and I tried One Family because the ratings didn't seem too bad on Yelp. Wellllll..I probably wouldn't visit again. There wasn't anything that stood out or remotely good. Everything was just ok. The servers (two females) were extremely slow and inattentive. We went without refills on our water the whole dinner and they spent more time hanging in the kitchen and talking.
google avatar

Billy V.

Yelp
For $34.5 I would say it's a little overpriced. Could've gotten more rice than a small box and more condiments. Otherwise it was extremely delicious as you would expect galbi to be.. tender, fresh, flavorful. They were busy on Saturday but my check was ready to sign when I walked in. The waiters were very fast. It was a pleasant experience overall. I hope you come try here and I definitely recommend if you're second guessing this or another korean restaurant
google avatar

Cindi J.

Yelp
I loved this restaurant. It's nice and cozy. I ordered the pork fried rice and it was amazing. My husband ordered bigolgi which was amazing as well. The sparkling teas are really good as well. I had the passionfruit. The service was great and my friends that were with us also raved about how good it was. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Outstanding service, authentic menu, and true Northern Korea cuisine! This restaurant is a hidden treasure. I am so happy all the local Japanese Sushi hibachi restaurants were not available on Sunday, otherwise I would not have found this incredible Korean delicatessen. The waitress was as fabulous explaining the menu, as the relaxing and somewhat romantic establishment. Congratulations to the chef, the owners and the family that came up with this truly delicious location. It was my first time to this restaurant but it had nothing to lament of any other Asian , especially California Korean location. A great business lunch location as well, I can imagine my guests raving. Thank you for a great Sunday! Sincerely, Ricky A

Yelp
The food here is top tier! Very good traditional Korean dishes done very well. I come here often and bring out of town people every chance I get. The must get items are the kalbi, mandu, tekboki, and a soft tofu stew. Seafood is my favorite but if you can't handle it then they have beef or kimchi as well! It's a very cute vibe. Feels traditional and homie. Great for family style dining and sharing dishes. Have lots of fun here! Tables are small so consider this when ordering lots of food. I wish I didn't have to but I gotta knock a star off for the inconsistent service. Understandably it gets crowded and busy, but it doesn't excuse being short with people and consistently forgetting things. And it's not just on one occasion, I come here often and many times I have to ask for things forgotten and they seem slightly annoyed by it. Especially with the male waiter. Everytime he serves my table, it seems like he doesn't want to be there and will consistently forget things we ask for. An example will be asking for scissors to cut the meat or for napkins. I'd ask the owners to train him, so that he can get better as I've had much better experiences with the female waitresses.

Yelp
Family owned Korean restaurant hidden in a corner of a small strip. It's not easy to find but glad we found it for our Korean food cravings. Lovely interior and our server was very friendly. We came early and only 1 table was occupied. Within an hour the place was full. Not a big parking lot but still enough. We ordered the Korean fried chicken, ttuk bokki and the spicy beef stew. We enjoyed our dishes and also the banchan.
google avatar

Ken B.

Yelp
I was craving cold noodles and through a bit of research i found the dish, Bibim Guksu. I placed an order along with the small fermented sides and omg... so delicious! The cold noodles are sweet, sour spicy, tangy, and savory. Comes with white vinegar, spicy mustard, and extra gochujang. You gotta add a touch of each! The kimchi is excellent along with the other fermented sides. Must try! It really challenged my palette and I'm so glad I did. I will be back!
google avatar

Christine F.

Yelp
Tried this place while a friend was in town and had a couple hours to kill. We both lived a community with deep Korean roots and population and were craving Korean. The food was great. Hit the spot. The service was great. We sat and chatted for about three hours and went rushed to leave. It's a quaint little plqce.
google avatar

Olesya P.

Yelp
Food was pretty good, and authentic. I would like more options for food, menu had lots of beef, which I do not eat. They have some tofu and shrimp. So I would definitely enjoy more options. Waitress was very sweet and friendly. Place in general is located in not the best location. However it's pretty pleasant inside. I wouldn't come here for a first date or for any celebration. So if you are looking for relatively upscale place it's not it. It's very very low key. However food was absolutely great. Drinks menu was very short as well. They didn't have any wine, just Korean wine that I don't like. Place is very affordable so, I guess if you want to eat great Korean food and not spent too much money this place is good.
google avatar

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
Small restaurant tucked away in a shopping center. Ordered a Bibimbap and it arrived sizzling in a cast iron pot. The kimchi and cucumber sides were tasty, but sad to not see a bigger variety of side dishes provided with the meal. Prompt and kind service, would love to give One Family another try.
google avatar

Mariel G.

Yelp
I love the ambiance of this place. Very intimate & quiet. The korean side were great! My favorite is the fishcake dish. The beef soup I've had was good but not the best version of it that I've tried. Besides that, the service I received was amazing. She was the only server during the time and she has managed to serve well & was smiling the entire time. I highly recommend this place for the service & ambiance. Maybe next time I'll try their other dishes :)
google avatar

Camryn M.

Yelp
great authentic korean cuisine! Everything we had was delicious, and our server was attentive!

Charisse

Yelp
Food was okay good. Service was a bit slow and that's because they don't have a lot of staff working. They were nice and courteous. So if you're not rushing and not with a big group. This can satisfy and fix your Korean meal cravings.
google avatar

Yuki I.

Yelp
We came here for the lunch special - it's a box with kimchi, bean sprouts, some other veggies, rice, and fried dumplings on the side of your protein choice. We got one bulgogi and the other spicy pork. Both were super tasty lunch boxes! Very filling, reasonable price, and efficient service. We appreciate Storm for her service!
google avatar

Josean C.

Yelp
Very stylish place with a great selection, the service was very very often and kind of literally checking back very often to ask if things were okay. I liked how separated the seats were for privacy as well. The song was nice and cold and I had the jjamppong which was delicious
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly it was amazing great place nice ambiance Love the Korean BBQ would highly recommend

Yelp
Talk about a little hidden gem. It's located in a nondescript strip mall under korean grocery store. I've taken my korean parents to a multitude of korean restaurants all around the Tampa area. Let just say, they didn't like a single one of them. Until I took them here. They finally throughly enjoyed all the dishes down to all the varies banchan! I've recently took my friends and they loved every single dish they ordered. Not only do I recommend this place. My picky parents recommends it.

Sky O.

Yelp
I used to really enjoy this place for the food and atmosphere. But recently the service has been awful. The current waitress was rude. We had thought the tip was added on the receipt, but on the way out she asked why we hadn't given her a tip very aggressively.
google avatar

Mable G.

Yelp
The interior of the restaurant is very small and cute with only bench seating. Our waitress was nice but the food was below average. At the time we were there, we were the only table ordering (restaurant was empty). The food took quite a while and it seemed that they were more focused on takeouts than people eating in based on all the plastic bags and pickups. When the food did arrive, it was pretty average. My daughter ordered jjajagmyeon and it's probably the worst and bland looking jjajagmyeon I've ever seen. I wouldn't recommend eating in, jjajagmyeon, or coming at all.
google avatar

Yelp
Mannnnnnnnn this is the true definition of hidden gem! This restaurant is literally in the back corner of a plaza and the outside decor lends you to believe it's closed but let me tell you, ITS SO OPEN!!! I love when a restaurant makes me excited to write a review because the experience was so great. The atmosphere, ambience, service, and food were all top notch. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant but she was hustling so hard you couldn't even tell. And it was so refreshing to go into a restaurant and get friendly and kind service. Our food was delicious!! I ordered the bibim bob bowl with no egg or meat. It was soooo good that I ordered one to go so I could have for the next day. My fiancé got the ham fried rice with egg and she loved it as well. Spring egg rolls for appetizers and the pomegranate wine was also clutch! The menu has a variety of options to choose from. We are already planning our return to this amazing Korean restaurant. Go check them out you won't be disappointed.

Ginger C.

Yelp
The best Korean food in Tampa. The dining area is small so it is not a good place for large parties, but the food here is consistently extremely good.

John E.

Yelp
Very quaint little restaurant, spicy pork bulgogi and Korean fried chicken well prepared and served in generous portions. Vegetarian side dishes (5) served with two entres. Service was attentive from the sole server working the room. Very pleasant experience.
google avatar

Margaret T.

Yelp
I had to update by removing one star from my previous review. The food is still excellent, but for the price of the entrees, which must be eaten with rice, the amount of rice served should be more. We ended up ordering three extra bowls for three people. I understand inflation is driving up prices, but $3.00 per tiny bowl of extra rice is just too much.
google avatar

Allen M.

Yelp
I was in Tampa visiting my girlfriend and I was craving some Korean food. After a quick Yelp search, I stumbled across this amazing restaurant. We got the bibimbap, sundubu-jjigae (spicy tofu stew), and spicy pork bulgogi. Everything exceeded my expectations and it was one of the best Asian restaurants I have ever been to. The food came out sizzling hot and had nice spicy to it. The staff were so nice and they even saved my to-go box when I forgot it accidentally. We will certainly come back again!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by this restaurant as a friend had texted me on this new find! My sister and I had no idea where to meet for lunch/dinner then I recalled the recommendation from my friend. Small restaurant in an unassuming plaza off or Hillsborough Ave heading towards Town&Country side of Tampa. Four booths (4 tops each) then a larger booth for slightly larger party (10-12 ppl). Three tables (2-4 top). Very comfortable and nicely lit. We ordered the Galbi ($30) and the Kimchi Soft Tofu Stew ($16)and the appetizer the Korean roll ($10). Every thing was superb! The Kimchi Soft Tofu Stew was silky and smooth! Very very good. Highly recommend this little restaurant! As my sister says, we think we found our new favorite Korean restaurant!

Yelp
awesome authentic korean food and good prices. maybe my favorite korean restaurant in the bay area. the restaurant is in a weird spot, it's kind of hidden in the back of a parking lot definitely coming back
google avatar

Avina K.

Yelp
Hands down my favourite Korean restaurant if you're interested in ordered a la carte and not having a Korean BBQ experience. They have a bunch of stew and noodle options I have yet to find in other restaurants, staff has always been friendly, and food delicious. I make it a point to go here every time I'm flying into Tampa Airport!

Yelp
OMG. This place was phenomenal. Definitely where you can get your Korean "seoul" food fix. I was so glad that I made the trip out because it is now my go to for Korean food. I didn't have too much trouble locating the restaurant and I don't know if it's because I read the other reviews or if I just expected it to be right where it was in a strip mall that consists of Korean vendors - including the Korean market right next door. We were greeted upon arrival and seated immediately on the Friday night at 6:30pm and thankfully, it wasn't busy so I knew we wouldn't have any trouble. Rice Cake Appetizer: This was just delicious. I didn't want such a large portion for an appetizer but I was glad that I got it because I got to take it home to eat! Beef Stew: It was good but it also tasted burnt. I was able to taste the metal from the pot on this one so it wasn't a fave but it wasn't bad either. Galbi: This was my absolutely favorite part! The meats were huge as compared to other restaurants who give you small thin pieces of Galbi. This place did not hold back and I tell you, it was absolutely delicious. Side Dishes: I liked them all, especially the pickled cucumber with spice. Overall, I love this place and definitely plan to return!!!

Yelp
I finally got the chance to eat here after having it bookmarked for a while. It is a very small but cute restaurant. We went early afternoon and it wasn't too busy but I know it can get packed. The waitress was very nice and friendly and had great conversation. We tried the Fried Gyoza, Pork Belly and Rice cake soup with dumplings. The fried gyoza was very crispy and cooked very well. The pork belly was okay, it could have used more flavor to it in my opinion. The rice cake soup was very good and flavorful. I would definitely like to go back and try out some other menu items.

Yelp
Enjoyed my restaurant experience at One Family. The name rings true as I did feel Like I was at a family dinner. Very kind staff and good food. I was sad I left my pancake at the restaurant. It was thick, delicious and full of flavor and seafood. Along with the Bibimbap and Mandoo it was too much food for one sitting but I wanted to try it all. Delicious. Wish they had more side dishes but I'm sure Elsa had something to do with that. Recommend.
