The Best Hot Pots in Houston | Eater Houston

"Alief’s premiere hot pot venue, One Hot Pot & Grill serves up hot pot with a Vietnamese twist. The menu offers a slew of options for hot pots including lau nam xi quach (a pork bone hot pot), the lau bo nhung ruoc (beef hot pot made with shrimp paste) and la de thuoc bac (goat hot pot filled with herbs and spices). The consistently great service at One Hot Pot & Grill has also helped catapult this hot pot haven into one of Houston’s favorites." - Nadia Gire

Google
A seafood restaurant with a diverse menu of Vietnamese dishes. I really like the ambiance and the seasoning here. I ordered crawfish, grilled apple snails with fish sauce and pepper, bamboo spring rolls, grilled oysters, quail eggs stir-fried with tamarind, crispy chicken cartilage with garlic, and grilled squid skewers.

Had my first hot pot in Houston. Was looking for Vietnamese style hot pot. I had a "sea food lover" one with Korean short ribs. Those are the best I had so far perfectly done. The hot pot was very good and meat is amazing. I had a great time, the staff is super friendly and smiling. Definitely coming back to taste the beef hot pot with bone narrow. Came here a second time after the management changed. I gotta say the service has been mediocre and sloppy. Vibes and food is good but they can improve on the level of service

Seasoning is on point! Can’t go wrong with any seafood orders. Will be back to try their hot pot. A bit slow customer service when I dined because there was only one server took care everyone.

Google
Visited One Hot Pot and Grill because a friend had suggested it before. The qual, shrimp, short ribs were all delicious and flavorful. It was my first time trying out snail and I enjoyed the experience for the most part. The flavor was great however the texture was a bit chewy for my taste. The hotpot was good, but as the broth reduced, it got pretty salty. The service was attentive with the ambiance being welcoming.

I came to One Hot Pot and Grill one night after I couldn't find Pho Binh at Night near by. I decided to try some hot pot here. I came in with only 2 tables of customers left. I waited awhile to get to see the menu. Then, the employees gathered at the bar chatting. I can't remember how long it took for my dish to come. I even asked about it. I don't remember anyone apologized for the wait. I was about to walk out. But I didn't. I stayed and ate my Grilled Beef Rice Noodles (Bún Bò Nướng). I was hoping to try their hotpot but they are down to 2 types now: Thai and Vietnamese. Ordering seems to be complicated. I think I need to eat hot pot with friends. Maybe some other time.

Google
Terrible service! I placed my order 20 minutes before the scheduled arrival time, but we still had to wait an additional 30 minutes. The crawfish tasted horrible. Although I ordered 5 pounds and was supposed to get 1 pound free, the total amount was less than what I'm used to getting at other places. Unfortunately, this experience has deterred me from returning.

Google
This restaurant has some amazing Vietnamese-style seafood! Everything I ordered was not only fresh but tasty. Furthermore, the presentation of the food was quite appealing to the eye. Do keep in mind that they are a tad on the expensive side. They also serve hot pot, but it’s unlikely as good as their individual dishes.

Oxtail hotpot was just perfect even tho it took a while to come out

Yelp
I came to One Hot Pot and Grill one night after I couldn't find Pho Binh at Night nearby. I decided to try some hot pot here. I remember when it first opened few years ago, they had many hot pot choices. But now, there are only 2, Thai Hot Pot and Vietnamese Crab Hot Pot. $29.99 each. It looks complicated to order. Food was ok because the beef was cold. I would normally expect warm meat on cold salad. But oh well. Can't get my hot pot. So, not coming back.

Yelp
Visited in 2025. Awesome snacks. Awesome oysters and crawfish! The flavor and freshness spot on. They also have tasty drinks! Service is very kind.

Yelp
This place is one of my fav seafood spot to eat around Bellaire. Their Oysters are fresh and delicious, servers are quick and friendly!!

Yelp
We arrived around 9pm on a Friday and it was empty as can be. We ordered the thai hot pot- broth was on the sweeter side. Sliced beef was really thick but definitely precut and frozen. The noodles were not fresh and broken up. The combo seafood plate was good but missing the coriander herb that normally comes with this dish. Food was decent, service was good since we were the only ones there . My only complaint was the male server that's sitting in the corner on his phone hacking/coughing up or trying to clear his throat of something every 2 mins. It was disturbing while we were trying to eat.

Yelp
Their crawfish was hot and juicy. The sauce was good too. Right now it is $7.99/lb buy 5 get 1 free

Yelp
We wanted to check out a restaurant in Houston that specializes in Oc and boy did they deliver! The portions were fairly priced giving the time and season. We left full and happy. The service was really nice we were always checked on by the sweetest waitress. The restaurant is really clean and we were seated immediately. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Decent spot for some viet street style foods... the overwhelming star of the night was the banh bot chien... they probably serve the best version of this egg rice cake dish in town as it has a nice balance of crispiness and just the right amount of egg. Dare I say we liked this better than the famous one at Tan Tan. Everything else, though, was pretty standard vietnamese street food fare like grilled skewers and assorted rice and noodle dishes. Ironically, the beef hot pot itself was the least memorable part of the meal. Deep in Alief, I'd compare this closely with HEM just down the street.

Yelp
Love the food here! Seasoning is definitely on par with actual Vietnamese street food. We absolutely loved the fried rice with fish eggs!! It also had Vietnamese sausage, egg, and small shrimps. There's a subtle wok flavor which complemented the rice beautifully. Grilled chicken feet was delicious! Wonderfully flavored and they should add a spicy option! Now here's the good part: snails! We ordered the combo snails and the variety was good. There were 5 different species of snails/clams that were grilled with peanuts and green onions! This dish also came with 3 dipping sauces. We thoroughly enjoyed it, the only complaint we had is that they should clean the clam/mussel more carefully because one or two of them were still sandy! Coconut snails were very rich and flavorful! There's a little heat which countered the coconut flavor beautifully!

Yelp
Things to know before coming: Can get super packed! So I recommend getting a reservation if possible! It's a very Vietnamese style oriented place! Quite small, so if you have a big gathering - it can be cramp. There are three things you HAVE to get on the menu: The combination platter! Combo Oc - it even comes with long pick sticks to easily take out the snails; also the green sauce it quite spicy, so I preferred dipping it only in fish sauce (definitely personal preference). Oc Mong Tay Nuong Mo Hanh - snails dripping garlic butter and onion oil! This is a fan favorite! :) Bo nuong Xa - grilled beef skewers in lemongrass. The beef literally fell off the stick - SO GEWD. Another favorite of mines have to also be the bot chien - which is fried rice cakes cooked in eggs! Pretty filling and I prefer it over the bot chien with chicken. IG - @piggieats_

Yelp
Food and service was great and I would definitely come back! The place is kinda small and in my opinion, is only good for small groups of 4 people. Unless you're sitting at the bar or the booths, but when arrived, the booths were reserved for a party. Not sure if they serve alcoholic beverages either, but I know their known for their hot pots (hence their name), along with their grilled seafood. Came her with some girlfriends and although we didn't get to try their hotpot, we got to try several other dishes. Coconut snails were by far my absolute favorite! It is challenging to eat, but my technique is simple but might sound perverted. Suck the smaller end first, then suck the bigger end and the meat will easily come out. Suck hard because it gets stuck. Thank me later! Aside from all that, the combination plate offers literally a little bit of everything on the seafood section. We also got to try the octopus in the green sauce, mini egg rolls, Banh bot chien (egg and rice cake), and clams in lemongrass broth. Fried chicken feet was great! I never had chicken feet the way they make it, and it's definitely recommended! Had a good kick to it as well! Wonton soup and noodles were also pretty good. Corn dish was just okay... could go without ordering this. Regardless, service was friendly and food came out super fast! Our table was so full we couldn't fit anymore new dishes coming out! Definitely recommend coming here if you're a hot pot and seafood lover! Enjoy!!!

Yelp
I've seen this place on social media so I decided to stop by for dinner. After I got seated with a menu I was ignored for a while. No drink order or anything. When a waitress finally came, I got a water, mini egg rolls, and beef skewers with satay sauce. The egg rolls were so good. I could eat a hundred of them. The weird thing was the sauce wasn't the traditional fish sauce you'd get with Vietnamese food, but a sweet/sour-ish one you'd get with a Chinese American egg roll. The beef skewers were pure salt. The dipping sauce as well. I was disappointed with that dish. I went to the counter to pay and was also waiting a while. No one was there and I just stood there until someone came out from the kitchen.

Yelp
Great place for snacking/chilling with friends. The place is pretty dark. I'm assuming this place is for people who want to hang and drink since they have a bar island. We ordered the following: Chicken feet chili Thai clams in soup Blood clams in tamarind Bot chien Mi go reng beef The platter:includes a whole bunch of seafood Corn with baby shrimp Coconut snails I don't know if they did this on purpose or if it's always like that but the chicken feet were small. So small i thought I was eating pretzel sticks. Barely any skin, that good stuff. Flavor was there but it was impossible to eat without getting slobber all on you The Thai clams were my least favorite. The flavor was okay, but the clams were over cooked and a bit rubbery Blood clams were good! A nice balance of tamarind and sweetness. Small, but yummy! The bot chien is delicious. I usually don't know where to go when getting this, so I'd go to tan tan but here they make it extra crispyyyyyy. Mmmm. My favorite place now for this. Mi go reng beef was okay. Lacked flavor. It was basically rau muong with beef and ramen noodles. It tasted just like that. It needed soy sauce from the bot chien. Hehe The platter was great! I really love the presentation. Specifically because I love variety of these babies. The snails were not over cooked like most places, the green sauce was okay, fish sauce was good for these. They provide you sticks for easy consumption. Pretty great scallops, delicious garlic! The mussels were flavorful! Corn with baby shrimp was a bit dry but nice flavor to enjoy with the spread. The coconut snails was thicccc. What I mean is, the sauce was as thick as pudding! They tried to keep it hot by lighting a fire but it went out within a few min. The snails were nicely cooked, hard to suck out but worth the work. Overall, happy with the food, prices were reasonable, quick service, my new fav place!

Yelp
This place was recommended by a local. Glad we stopped by good street food. Escargot and many more.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to this when visiting Houston. It's often hard to find shell fishes like in Vietnam so it was really nice coming here to get my seafood fix. We ordered the oc mong tai- long fingernail shellfish (not literally fingernails just the name) smothered in tamarind sauce. It tasted so good. We then got the shellfish combo platter which was grilled and topped with fried garlic and green onions. They came out with several sauces, and they were all soooo good as well. Finally, we got the beef hot pot with ramen noodles, and the broth was cooked with perfection with some herbs in there. The beef was tender and soft, the only complaint was that their veggies that came with the hot pot wasn't as fresh, some were bad. But overall, I loved the place, the restaurant is a bit small and we got there right before the rush dinner hour. It will be a place I hope to return.

Yelp
I wish I found this place sooner! I didn't know Houston had Asian grilled seafood place and I've been looking for this kind of restaurant for years. The sea snail dish was AMAZING. The coconut milk sauce is so creamy and sweet and savory at the same time. It is a bit hard to suck it out of the shell but it's kind of fun at the same time. The grilled seafood combo was good but the scallop had sands so I had to spit it out. The crab hotpot was interesting too... I would want to try other hotpot next time but worth trying it. I can see myself visiting this place several times in the future.

Yelp
Service is average, some things on the menu are always out, tables and chairs sometimes are not cleaned well. Food itself is good and cost is not bad.
google avatar

Nikki T.

Yelp
First time coming, food is like street food u get in Vietnam. The bbq beef skewer was delicious, hot pot was great, a bit small only two people can eat. We also had the grilled clams, that was amazing. Portions are small and price is not too high. Will come again
google avatar

Aiden T.

Yelp
Saddest plate of shaking beef (Bo Luc Lac) I've ever seen. I know we're always supposed to get more rice than meat of course, but I've never seen such a bad ratio. I figured maybe it's more than meets the eye and that the taste might make up for it but boy was I wrong. The rice was so dry that I wasn't sure if I was eating overcooked, old rice or rice that hadn't even been cooked yet. And for $13-14, saying the plate is "not worth the price" is an understatement. Maybe the rest of their menu is good, I don't know. Based off this order though, I would be hesitant to come back. For two-thirds the price, you can get a way better portioned (and better tasting) rice plate elsewhere all along Bellaire Blvd and in Chinatown. I would rate 1.5 stars, but the beef was fairly decent so 2 stars for that.

Yelp
Eh. Nothing too impressive. It was jus ok. Seriously. Just eh. Snails. Korean short ribs. Eggrolls Something else I forgot the name of. All around. Eh.

Yelp
Different and new places so wanted to check it out. Their street style food is good. Some are better than others. Might have to come back and give their hot pot a try. (4/5): CHEM CHEP NUONG MO HANH: 12 cooked MUSSELS with onion oil. These had great flavor and nicely cooked. (3/4): BOT CHIEN: EGG CREPE with dough slices. Compared to other places this one for me lacked eggs so it wasn't as thick and fluffy. It also lacked the crispy crunch. You can just get better at different locations (4/5): MUC NUONG DAI HAN: Whole grilled SQUID with Korean influenced flavor. The cook was good because it wasn't too chewy or slimy. (3/5): MI HOANH THANH: The charsiu (pork slices) was dry. The WONTONS just lacked flavor in general. My friend was craving something soupy. They gave us 2 smaller bowls so we could share and it was easy to split (3/5): COMBO OC: Visual very appealing. It comes with 6 different types of shellfish such as MUSSELS, SCALLOPS, CLAMS, and SNAILS. This is the perfect sharing size for a party of 3 since it came with 3 of each. Good variety. The snails in the big black shells were so fishy. It wasn't seasoned well enough to mask that briny flavor. You would have to dip it in a lot of sauce.

Yelp
This review is for the only item we purchased to go. Our experience was probably closer to 3.5 stars overall, but not 4, so rounding down to 3. However, feel free to ignore my review completely since I don't normally order sea snails, but came here with the bestie. We called our order in ahead of time and our Oc Len Xao Dua/Spicy Coconut Sea Snails ($12.99, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Akp3KCm0ZIrGNss-nJA1Ng&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg) were ready when we arrived. The sea snails were fresh, and I thought they gave us a good amount; however, my friend thought it was on the pricier side compared to other places she's been in LA. Also, the spicy coconut sauce needed more spice, and more umami. We liked the consistency, but it was too sweet. However, there aren't many places that sell this dish in the Houston area, so worth purchasing from here if you have a craving. Indoor seating was available, but I didn't see any outdoor dining. This plaza was busy, but there were spots available.

Yelp
The environment is really nice and food was spot on. Definitely recommend their combination skewers & oc
google avatar

Yelp
After doing extensive research and asking locals for the best options for oc/snails I made the executive decision to check this place out. Best decision ever! The place was nice and cozy. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was immaculate. Everything I ordered was a hit! I wish I had the stomach to enjoy more of the snails but it was on the cusp of tipping over. Highly recommend this place for snail lovers.

Yelp
Typical Asian parents problems: anywhere you take them, they will never be satisfied and always something to complain about. Thanks to Judy N's recommendation, my parents gave a thumbs up to One Hot Pot & Grill! Tons of unique dishes from clams & squid to goat & chicken feet. They even have traditional rice plates so your whole gang will have something to enjoy. Their banh bot chien (fried rice cakes with egg) is better and crispier than Tan Tan. Taking shots at the undefeated champ but I'm not the only one that said it... Our only issue with the food was the clams weren't cleaned thoroughly. 1/5 clams were almost inedible due to dirt and sand. Service is not like your typical run down bellaire restaurant either, yay!

Duyen D.

Yelp
They has a good selection of seafood/snails. One of their best seller is The Ốc Plate combination, and the food portion plus the price was reasonable. The waiter/waitress provided excellent services!
google avatar

Tracy D.

Yelp
The restaurant has a weird layout because the bar is in the middle and it's huge! However, there's still some good seatings. The staffs are friendly and informative. Grilled squids (5/5) - the green sauce go so well with it Grill clams (4/5) - it tastes good but a little blend. Coconut snails (3/5) Thai hot pot (4/5) Meat platter (5/5) Banh bot chien (4/5) Overall a good solid Vietnamese street food place. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Thuan B.

Yelp
Like everyone else has mentioned, portion size is extremely small. We used to come here because the food still tasted decent. However, during the last visit, we noticed that they are charging 3 dollars extra over menu price per plate. I understand they might not have the time to update their menu, but due to such dishonest practice, we won't be returning. Check your bills guys!

Yelp
OKURRRTT this place is solid!!! My friends and I was traveling from NYC and had so much craving for Vietnamese food. We were sooo excited to check out this place as oc is nowhere to be found in the North Eastern. Obviously we ordered as many dishes as possible. My favorites had to be Oc Len Xao Dua, So Long Nuong Mo Hanh, Chim Cut Nuong (a bit salty but alright), and Chan Ga Nuong Muoi Ot. If you're Vietnamese you NEED to come here. Expect to wait but it's all worth it.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food!!!!! Love love the oc!! A cute restaurant with great music. It would be nice to have more alcoholic beverage options.

Yelp
I really enjoy the hot pots here. This is my go to place to satisfy my craving for curry coconut snails and grilled skewers. I was here last Saturday and ordered the curry coconut snails (suck it out on one end to thoroughly enjoy), Thai seafood hot pot (served with Vietnamese canh chua veggies, seafood, vermicelli noodles, and beef), along with some grilled pork skewers. It was my first time ordering the pork skewers and I will definitely order it again. It's thinly sliced, perfectly grilled with slightly charred bits, topped with sautéed green onions and crunchy peanuts. See my photos of the dishes mentioned here. Service is hit or miss. On this night, we came an hour before closing and service was great. This is my go to place for very affordable hot pot. How can you say no to $19 delicious Thai Seafood hot pot?!
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Highly underrated!! I went with a friend after work and it was still open late at night! We got the clams and the scallops along with some balut and their special fried rice. Absolutely delicious. Our two person party had a very affordable meal for seafood! I highly recommend this place for dates. ;) The atmosphere is very chill and dark. It was really nice coming here after a long day of work and to just relax with my friend. The servers are very accommodating and helpful when it came to ordering because I didn't know what to order at first. A great first impression. Will come again soon.
google avatar

Caroline N.

Yelp
I love coming here for Vietnamese street/bar food. They have a wide selection of seafood, snails, hot pots, etc tapas style. Everything is pretty good overall for not having access to fresh snails. My favorite is the deep fried pig knuckles (gio heo chien gion)! They also have pretty good stir fried corn with salted duck egg, grilled squid, skewered grilled items. I hate the seating though. When it's busy, the wait is long and no place to sit. If all the tables are full, they have bar top to eat. But, the bar stool seats are way too tall for the bar top. So it's uncomfortable to eat for longer than 5 minutes.
google avatar

Steve N.

Yelp
Service was great. Our server made some good suggestions for us. The food was excellent. I would definitely come here again.
google avatar

Nhu L.

Yelp
The snails are fresh but the flavor is okay. Costumer service is OK... not a place to come back...
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
We were so disappointed with all the food. Either it's over cook or too sweet. All the waiter and waitress were very nice. That's the only thing that makes the food better. To end the night. The electric power went out. The whole place was dark.
google avatar

Tai N.

Yelp
Very very good. Foods are very tasty and authentic at reasonable price. My top favorite is Lau Cua Dong. Staffs were very friendly and attentive. Tam were my server and she's great. Will definitely come back whenever I hit Houston.

Lauren L.

Yelp
Absolutely the WORST service EVER!! We needed a table top for 5 and they asked us to wait and no one started to clear a table until I approached them for the 2nd time. After standing around and waiting for 15-20mins.
google avatar

Tony N.

Yelp
We decided to have snails (oc) for dinner today. Place is small and very tight place. We got sat by this girl that kept going threw her hair. My girlfriends got annoyed but she got finished eating and left. That was the best part of the night. Service was great and food was good.
google avatar

Davisson N.

Yelp
First star, first impression this place is lively and full of good times. Expect a long wait during perk time and bring your patience with the service they offer. It's a popular place to the locals so the service will obviously be slow. Second star, lots of speciality dishes. It's focused more for groups and families. Everything here is overall good. The green sauce is the best and has a hint of spicy that is enjoyable. Third star, service is nothing of a wow factor. Normal for a busy place. Some would say it's busy and the staff are inattentive. However, I come from the service industry so I understand what's it like. It's simple they're just busy. Fourth star, great people watching factor which makes a place enjoyable. Good vibes. No Fifth star, not their fault but, just for users to be aware- parking is horrible during perk time and night time. Nonetheless, this place is not a tourist trap- It's a spot for the locals and good food.
google avatar

Shawn N.

Yelp
Wifey and I enjoyed them last night. I do with the scallops were as big as they looked in the menu image, but other than that, I have no complaints. Try the assorted snails/clams if you have no idea what to try. The Vietnamese crab hot pot was tasty, but I do recommend ordering extra vegetables with it. Also be prepared for the bill to be a bit pricy. But the place was clean and the service pleasant and timely.
google avatar

Amber W.

Yelp
I totally understand what people are complaining about customer services. Make me feel like they're too good to serve us. We said "Thank you" no you're welcome or hi. Just terrible customer services. We ordered the Korean squid, everyone took 1 bite and left that plate alone. The oc combo was ehhhh. Not worth it. Some didn't have meat inside and a lot of it are over cooked. The grilled meat and veggie combo wasn't bad. Meat are pretty flavorful. Probably the best dish. The cua hotpot was a bit salty for my taste. Very little veggie and noddle. The cua is not bad, kinda taste like soft egg? Not sure how it suppose to taste, but I do like it! Will I be back? Probably not bc I rather keep my stomach to try another place.
google avatar

Minh L.

Yelp
I came here on a recommendation from a friend for Vietnamese street style food. Of course the friend came with me and did all the ordering, because it was snails and I have no idea how to order these. He ordered different kinds and different styles of these sea creatures, and they were all quite tasty! Most had a chewy consistency, and some were grilled with scallions and peanuts, some were in a broth, and one was in coconut milk. The one in coconut milk was kinda slimy, but the coconut part is really good. Great food to have a beer with (I'm a boring Bud Light gal) and to chill and chat with friends. I liked everything, although the squid was a little on the salty side so I didn't eat much of that one. I wouldn't mind trying their hot pot next time either. Will definitely be back, even if I just order by showing them pictures.

Yelp
We saw some good reviews online and another confirmation from a local restaurant near by. We definitely love the food here. The service is ok. Can't complain. Recommended if you need some authentic vietnamese food.

Yelp
Quality, quality Vietnamese food. This is hands down the most consistently mind blowing restaurant I have stumbled upon. Let's just say my dad is willing to drive to Houston just to eat here, multiple times per trip too. First things first - make sure to look at the special menu written on a chalkboard in the back! That's where all the seafood stuff is written! It's a cute, trendy place that serves "do an vat" aka small snack foods that go well with a can of beer. The food is amazing. Here are some of my favorites: So Duong - these clams. Are they clams? Oh my god. They come in 4 and are huge! Chargrilled with smokey accents topped with scallion and fried onions. Freakin' amazing. My dad gets about 8 orders each time. Banh Bot Chien - hands down the best I've ever had. No place can compare to the one here!! Flavorful on its own, doesn't even need sauce IMO. Trung Ga Nuong Xa Ot - crispy chicken feet with nuoc mam, this one is always a must. If you don't mind just knibbling/knawing on something small, get it! Com Chien Ca Man/Trung Ca - these are two different dishes that are done extremely well. Very basic, doesn't' have veggies to them but extremely good! Lau - so far we got Lau Nam Xi Quach which is hot pot with mushrooms and pork bones. Hands down the most flavorful hot pot I've ever had. You don't have to wait for the ingredients to enrich the broth; you can eat it right away and have a wonderful experience! The meat on the pork bones were a little dry though, so I would opt for another hot pot next time but for sure see the potential! I also would recommend oc huong too! Oh gosh. The grilled meats are good too but because of limited stomach space, we mainly try to order seafood, and a lot of it too! Prices are extremely reasonable, seafood much cheaper than those in VN for sure! And if you can read Vietnamese, they have a hilarious sign on the way to the restroom on the wall. ;) By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in HTX yet if you want non traditional food.

Yelp
Rude waitress and bad service. First time here. I ordered the balut with tamarind sauce to try. There's no indication of peanuts on menu list. When it came out there was peanuts. We told waitress we had no idea can she go take the peanuts off. She looked at me and said "everything in here has peanuts and I should check online because it's posted on our website and that I need to let her know before ordering" She scuffed away. I got pissed. Checked the website. Nothing! Told her to to come back and take it because I cannot eat peanuts. She rudely grabbed it and took it away. We quickly asked if our hot pot has peanuts she said no. So not everything had peanuts then? After the encounter, I had a bad appetite. The hot pot we had ordered was not even Thai style, just tamarind in soup...won't refer or be coming back! $6.99 in exchange for a bad review. I paid for the non touched balut. It's not about the money but all about the service. They need to train their people the basics of customer service. No tip for sure and I always tip generously.

Yelp
Came here this past weekend while in Houston. Food was excellent! They had a lot of authentic things I had when I was in Vietnam. The escargot with lemon grass was a hit along with the coconut snails. I suggest asking for a bowl of rice, mix the coconut sauce in, and the flavor is just right. We also had the clan but it was not too fresh. Considering it's Houston not LA, this is as close as you can get. The corn with thousand eggs was actually my favorite. I couldn't believe it is even a good mix when I heard about it. The corn was cooked perfectly with the mix of the thousand eggs made it just melt in your mouth. Each bite makes me wants more of it. The Shrimp on the stick was also very delicious. I thought this was another one of those places where they have girls in short shorts serving these type of beer food. These girls are actually well behave, dress with flannel shirts, and super courteous and tentative to our orders. This is a Normal restaurant with good bar food. I bookmarked this and will definitely be back again soon when I am back in Houston.
