The 18 Best Caribbean Restaurants And Takeaways In London

"Takeaway One Love Kitchen is a casual Caribbean spot on Crouch Hill that went from street food stall to bricks and mortar site in the midst of the pandemic. Certified wrap artistes, their jerk chicken wrap is smoky, spicy, tender, filling, and so many other things that will have you walking up the street with garlic sauce down your top and a big old smile on your face. If you’re swinging by in the evening for a proper sit-down situation, get involved in the curry goat or pair the brown stew fish with an episode of your favourite podcast for a top solo dinner experience." - jake missing, heidi lauth beasley

What To Order When You’re Having A Wobble Day

"Comfort order: Grilled jerk chicken wrap. People say that love is all you need. That’s not true. You also need One Love Kitchen because last time we checked love can’t deliver you jerk chicken when you’re one inspirational ‘new normal’ bank advert away from smashing up your TV. A Caribbean market stall with spots in Crouch Hill, Fenchurch Street, and Maltby Street, their jerk chicken lunchtime wrap is what you really want to get involved in. Packed full of garlic and herb sauce and perfectly grilled, we’re yet to meet a bad day that can’t be made better by this £10 lunchtime hero." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing

One Love Kitchen - Review - Crouch End - London - The Infatuation

"Whoever said breakfast is the most important meal of the day has clearly never met us in the midst of a 2pm no-lunch hangry tantrum when we start signing off emails with ‘bye or something’. Yes, lunch is very important. It’s the meal that gets you to dinnertime. One place we love to hit up for a seriously satisfying lunch situation is One Love Kitchen, a casual Caribbean spot on Crouch Hill that went from street food stall to bricks and mortar site in the midst of the pandemic. Certified wrap artistes, their £8 jerk chicken wrap is smoky, spicy, tender, filling, and so many other things that will have you walking up the street with garlic sauce down your top and a big old smile on your face. If you’re swinging by in the evening, get involved in the curried goat or pair the brown stew fish with an episode of your favourite podcast for a top solo dinner experience. Because yes, we do think dinner is important too. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Heidi Lauth Beasley

I just had an incredible meal at One Love Kitchen in Crouch Hill. The brown stew chicken was soft, juicy, and full of rich flavor, while the BBQ lamb was smoky, tender, and perfectly cooked. The sides were just as good! The plantain was sweet and caramelized, the coleslaw was fresh and creamy, and the chips were crispy. Their homemade burger sauce added a tasty extra kick to everything. Great food, big portions, and super friendly service. If you love Caribbean food, you need to try this place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I used one love kitchen for my Christmas catering and just received my food order. I can say that the owner has been exceptional from start to finish. Seamless and willing to please especially as this was my first time of having my Christmas catered. We couldn’t wait until tomorrow and had a spoonful of everything. Fried chicken excellent and full of flavour Jerk chicken amazing Oxtail amazing Mac and cheese and then the extra jerk sauce just brilliant. Simply fantastic Jemma

Sending all my love to Leon and the team. One Love Kitchen was this month’s lunch for the office that I manage and I haven’t heard this good a feedback in a long time. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. 100% would recommend and definitely prepared to book them in again in the coming months. Thanks again!

disappointed. Food was not up to it usual standard. Considering I spend over £60 on food I expect that the plantain not to swimming oil. The rice was dry as if it had been cooked a few days ago. The pea soup was very thick and congealed again as if was not fresh and I was told it did not taste nice either. The chicken was nice but not jerk as I know it. Chips were dry and over fried. Mac and Cheese I was told was not bad. I had been boasting to people how good the food is was and quite frankly I was a embarrassed at what we received given the price paid. What has happened? You have raised the prices but the food is gone down hill. Not a good look, will not be spending my money here again!

Genuinely great curry goat and rice and peas! Very generous portions, casual and relaxed atmosphere, nice staff. Definitely recommend for lunch with friends - I’d come back if it weren’t so far from me (it was worth the trip)!

My partner bought me some chicken today. It was absolutely disgusting!!! It was so terrible it was inedible!!! I tried to eat it but I just couldn't!!! I don’t know who the chef is cooking for, but he literally used ketchup and hot pepper sauce and put over some horrible seasoned chicken and sold it to a human being. His cooking is a disrespect to the Jamaican culture. The name of the shop is a disrespect and quite frankly the food is a disrespect! You should be embarrassed of your fake jerk ketchup whatever you want to call it sauce.. You actually deserve my time to write this bad review.. and if you don’t want bad reviews then maybe you should start cooking better food or just close the shop..

I was very disappointed with my experience here. We ordered the oxtail with rice and peas. BBQ jerk chicken with rice and peas. A portion of chips and coleslaw. Firstly, the rice was overcooked. And the oxtail tasted off. And for £17.95 I only received five pieces of bone with barely any meat at all what a joke. The jerk BBQ was hard and chewy. I Waited over 25 mins for a portion Of chips that was over cooked and hard. the seasoning was not tasty at all. The only thing I liked was the coleslaw. I spent over £50 for a bad experience. I came here after looking at tik tok reviews. Never again will I visit here. Save your money and go elsewhere people.

We finally visited One Love Kitchen today after thinking about it for ages. We traveled just over an hour for this meal…the restaurant is 15mins walk from Finsbury Park station. This a small unassuming family run business that serves pure comfort food. We tried the Jerk Chicken and Oxtail with rice & peas and steamed veggies. The portions are filling and the plates come with a thick, rich & flavourful sauce. The food was spicy hot (in the perfect way) and portions are generous. I preferred the Oxtail to the Jerk Chicken (by a super tiny bit). The customer service was excellent and food is perfect. Highly recommended.
