This Incoming Tropical Vegan Cart Wants to Raise Awareness for Ocean Conservation | Eater Portland

"A snorkeling company, One Ocean Diving offers opportunities to swim with sharks and other marine life in their natural habitat; Lamberson spent time working and free-diving with sharks there, created educational content from those experiences, and credits that work and her marine-biology background with shaping her veganism and conservation-focused approach for Sharks Cove." - Waz Wu

Incredible adventure of a lifetime! Great staff and amazing swimming with sharks...in the open water! Courteous and professional, the crew of this boat were top notch. I did the "hire the photographer ", package--sooo worth it. The pictures came out better than any handheld camera. (Will post later) Swim with the best, with Ocean One Diving!

Google
Best trip ever! Seeing the tiger sharks was just the icing on the cake! Our crew was Captain Liko, Faith, Marcus and Kaitlyn. They were great. I enjoyed the education prior to getting in the water! We got to see a ton of sharks and even got to dive close to some of them! So cool! Best experience and once in a lifetime! Would highly recommend this group! Side note: they offer skid shirts and go pro handles should you need them! This is included. They can also get photos of you but you need to request them ahead of time with the office.

Sergio M.

Google
Absolutely unforgettable experience. Kaitlyn, Brian, Stocky, and Gina were amazing—knowledgeable, funny, engaging, and genuinely great people. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel safe, informed, and fully prepared to swim cage-free with the sharks. We saw several different species, but the highlight was an enormous tiger shark—truly breathtaking. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one of those trips I know I’ll never forget.

Andrey R.

Google
One Ocean Diving is an outstanding group. I took my swim with sharks with Brian, Gina, Hayley and Bret. They went out of their way to make sure we see our share of sharks and be safe: when there were just a few sharks at the first location, they moved to a different one, and there were something like 30 sharks. Such an incredible experience! What a way to entertain, teach about sharks and protect the ocean. Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) One Ocean Diving!

Google
100/10 Would Recommend!! The experience is second to none & my childhood self was beyond excited to get in the water with these ancient & revered Gods of the Sea🦈 Our Captain Liko & Safety Divers Faith & Matt were awesome! They exuded professionalism & calm, briefed us on everything from the location, the dive, education & conservation methods perfectly. It was an absolute pleasure to share this dive & their passion for these creatures alongside them. I can't wait for the day to come again when I get to swim with & watch these beautiful creatures do their thing from an unobscured viewpoint, in their world & on their terms again! Mahalo! Google
What an amazing experience! My husband and I scuba dive, and have seen lots of sharks on our various dives. But because I’m pregnant and can’t dive currently, I thought we’d do this instead, and it was fantastic! The team is super friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly super safe. We went out with Brian, Tyler, Hayley, and Bret, and really enjoyed the snorkeling and free diving!!

Madison F.

Google
Our shark snorkel experience was incredible! Being so close to these creatures was magical and I felt safe the whole time! Our tour guides Faith and Liko were super knowledgeable and so sweet. Would definitely recommend this to anyone considering it.

Google
I had the most incredible time with One Ocean Diving last week! This was my second dive with their company and I already have my next one booked. Captain Matt was absolutely amazing—he navigated us through 20 ft waves like it was nothing and got us safely to the dive spot. Tyler and Hayley were incredible dive instructors who made us feel safe and confident the entire time. Tyler watched over us closely as we swam with countless active and curious sharks, and it was unbelievable how up-close we were able to get. We also had plenty of time in the water, which made the experience even better. Tyler even captured incredible GoPro footage that I’ll treasure forever. I can’t recommend One Ocean Diving enough. If you’re thinking about doing a shark dive—go with them! 🦈💙

Yelp
If you're reading through reviews debating whether or not you should do it - DO IT. Sign up. I'm telling you you won't regret it and you will be so proud of yourself after and in awe of the beauty in sharks. I was you - 5 years ago I was like hmm should I? Sharks seem scary, but the adrenaline and excitement led me to push purchase + and I made sure to add the professional photography session. This specific experience is what catapulted me into my passion that has become marine life conservation and just the ocean in general. For people with anxiety - READ THIS STEP BY STEP WHAT HAPPENS ON THIS TOUR: First things first - take motion sickness meds night before and morning of the dive. You'll get to the harbor and they'll have you sign a waiver and then welcome you onto the boat. You'll take your shoes off and get on to the boat where they typically split it by people who got the photography package on one side, and the GoPro users on the other side. It's only about 4 divers to each safety diver - small groups are better! Once you're on the boat they will give you a presentation on what you'll see and what role the sharks play in the ecosystem. Then they prepare you for the water on the ride over where if you're lucky, you'll see some spinner dolphins on the way! The boat ride is about 15 minutes each way. Once you get out to the diving spot, you'll gear up and start getting in the water. There is a rope alongside the boat that you hold on to while you look out at the sharks. One by one the safety diver will ask if you are comfortable doing a little individual dive for a better look. If you are interested, they count you down 3..2..1 and then guide you to the right spot. If you don't want to go - no worries, just hold the rope and enjoy the view! You're in the water for about 40 minutes and then you get back on the boat. They tell you some more conservation facts and before you know it you're back in the harbor in awe that you just swam with real sharks in the open ocean!! I have now done this dive about 6 or 7 times - it is my favorite activity especially as the seasons change, different animals come to visit. You can do fun things, even if you're scared. The crew at One Ocean is top notch and will not only tell you you're safe - but will make you feel it. Big thanks to Captain Liko, Gina, and Kaitlyn for always showing me a great time!

Yelp
Update: We got our GoPro footage a few days after the dive and the photos a little over a week later. Yeah, the package was pricey, but worth every penny for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Honestly, I was worried I wouldn't have many good shots since I didn't stay in the water the entire time--but I was wrong. The photos came out crystal clear and absolutely epic. That's when it really sank in: I actually did a cageless shark dive. Already planning to go back in June 2026 to do it all again.

Yelp
I love this crew!! if you're thinking of shark diving you must choose one ocean diving for your adventure. This is eco diving at its finest, included is shark education and snorkel equipment includung rash guards. it's perfect for children and adults. They have a 100 percent safety record and their safety divers and photographers are the finest. my favorite safety diver/photographer is Gina. when you book try to get on her boat.. she's fun and amazingly talented with the lense among being an extremely amazing safety diver and she's got jokes for days.. always a good time. this is my favorite thing to do!

Jonathan P.

Yelp
What an incredible experience. I booked this last minute with a group and was secretly terrified, but the staff made me feel so comfortable. I had very little snorkeling experience and no diving experience and the team was so encouraging and friendly. I normally get sea sick, but fortunately it didn't happen to me. I think that it helped that the team was going over the instructions and talking about conservation during the trip out and back, helping to distract me. We saw plenty of sharks, and even a large tiger shark. I couldn't believe how close we were. I was definitely afraid of sharks prior to this experience, but I would do this again in a heartbeat! Gina was our safety diver and she made me feel so safe and comfortable. You can tell that she has such a passion for what she does!

Yelp
Curiosity or Fear of Sharks? Take the first step to explore that curiosity and be free of that fear! Be part of a cage free dive with an OneOcean safety diver today!!! In 2020 | never in a million years thought ld be able to swim (without being in a cage) with sharks. I had a polarizing fear of all sharks since going to see JAWS 2 at only 8 years old. Unfortunately, this deeply impacted my life and relationship with the ocean. BUT, thank goodness for me discovering Ocean Ramsey, her amazing safety divers, boat captains, crew and her educational pelagic shark free dive programs! IRRATIONAL FEAR NO MORE!!! It has changed my life in more than one way. Now having an educated respect of these amazing animals that has replaced that fear! I am able to love the ocean, snorkeling, free diving, and even scuba diving, without the constant sense of panic I exorcise experienced my whole life. I have learned to be aware of my surroundings in the deep sea, and even when wading in shallow water. I know there are sharks everywhere and I am in their home, and I treat it as such. Maybe I'll see you on a dive sometime. I'm kind of addicted now, lol. Since December 2020, I have now swam freely once with TIGER sharks (yes, Tiger!), and done 3 dives with more than 50 Galapagos and Sandbar Sharks. And, I'm about to embark on my 5th dive later this month!!! I advocate for sharks, I love sharks and I love to share my experience with everyone! Especially, the importance of respecting and appreciating sharks, and I highly recommend everyone to get educated. Sharks are a crucial part of our eco system. And, the ocean and world we live in needs and benefits from the shark population flourishing forever! #ILoveSharks

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. Educational, informational, awe-inspiring, and holy cow ...a ton of sharks!!!!! At one point I counted 11 all around us. I could not have predicted how awesome that would be. And the crew. Fantastic crew! Tyler, Faith, and Captain Liko were friendly, fun, encouraging, gentle, and unbelievably great. Tyler and Faith explained everything beforehand, and then gently led us each individually to get the best interaction with a shark. Multiple times. Instructions were clear and they gave us the best opportunity to see as much as we could. Captain Liko was full of knowledge and so welcoming. She got us out and back safely, and definitely imparted some wisdom for those who were a little sea-sick. You guys - these people are the best. No cages. Lots of good work and research and they truly are trying to save the shark population. Sharks aren't scary! They are so cool and chill - if you know what you are doing. And One Ocean Diving and their crew know what they are doing. Thank you again!!!

Yelp
I went shark free diving with One Ocean in Honolulu and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life! Our crew -- Liko, Tyler, Gina, and Brett -- were incredible. They were extremely knowledgeable, supportive, and had such calm demeanors that instantly put me at ease. I was nervous at first (as anyone would be!), but they helped me feel safe and comfortable from the moment we got in the water. They gave us plenty of opportunities to get close to the sharks, and I actually got really close to a Galapagos shark -- something I'll never forget. I went alone, but ended up making two new friends by the end of it, which made the day even more special. They shared fascinating info about shark behavior and conservation that I didn't know before, and the thoughtful touches were amazing -- cake after the dive, and a warm peppermint towel when we got back on the boat. I'll be getting my videos tomorrow and the photos in a few days, and I seriously cannot wait to relive every second. The experience totally inspired me -- it made me want to go again, and also start snorkeling more where I live! If you're thinking about doing this -- JUST DO IT. One Ocean exceeded every expectation. I had so much fun, and I can't recommend them enough!

Yelp
The crew and entire experience was great. I can't say enough good things about them. There were lots of sharks and a barracuda named Kevin. There was a guest on the boat that had been 8 times and he said it's always different. So I will come back if I'm ever in the area again. A couple of the customers were scared to get in the water when they saw the sharks from above but the crew helped them. The crew educated the guests, made them feel safe and they went in. You should take meds if you are prone to motion sickness. The waves were choppy the day my son and I went but it went well. Definitely bring a GoPro with a reddish lens.
google avatar

Kate F.

Yelp
First of all this is a snorkel not dive trip. They call it diving because they allow you to free dive. The good: we saw a ton of Galapagos sharks under the boat but for the most part they were hanging out in deeper water They give good information on sharks and their impact The bad: it was pretty choppy on the day that I went and multiple people got seasick so I would highly recommend taking some medicine beforehand . They recommend the day before and the day of. They have everyone hold on to a rope on the side of the boat and we were pretty packed together but this was partly because the people towards the front were spaced out. I kept bumping into the people next to me. Since you have to hang on to the rope that it keeps sending you towards the boat. I understand this is for safety for a few reasons but it added to the motion sickness feeling since I couldn't swim around. Other: They do call you over one by one and allow you to free dive down. You probably get two to three opportunities to do that per person They do offer professional photography and video but I didn't choose that option

Yelp
One Ocean Diving was hands down one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Liko, Hayley, Gina, and Bret were absolutely amazing--professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. They made the entire experience feel incredibly safe while also making it fun, educational, and deeply meaningful. We learned so much about sharks, marine life, and ocean conservation--and then topped it off by swimming alongside a whale shark. It was surreal. The team handled it with such respect and care, giving us the chance to witness something truly rare in a responsible, low-impact way. This isn't just a snorkeling trip--it's a powerful and unique opportunity to connect with the ocean. Highly recommend. Thank you to the whole team!

Yelp
An absolute blast! My husband and I had a fantastic experience with the humans and sharks. We felt completely safe and were super excited to get in the water and see these beauties up close. Our guide Tyler and the crew were impressive and made us feel at ease and excited. This epic adventure exceeded our expectations! I'd go back to O'ahu just to do this again. I wish we had done it on our first day of vacay instead of the last. We definitely would have gone back again! This was the highlight of our trip.

Yelp
Let me start by saying this was truly one of the best moments of life. Being educated about sharks and so in nature with them, there's nothing like it. The dive staff was so dope shout out to Gina. Very fun and good laughs the whole time. I felt COMPLETELY SAFE. they know their stuff and even though they take safety seriously they don't make it a blah time. The only thing that would make me give it a 4.75 stars is the photo package pricing. As much as I would have loved it I just thought it was weird the photos cost more than the tour itself. Otherwise go with them over any other shark company you wont regret it.
google avatar

Mora N.

Yelp
We were a little bit nervous to go, but I'm so glad we did! A few of the sharks came up to the surface and it was super fun! We got ample time in the water, and the guides made us feel totally at ease! a must do! Thanks to Gina and faith and Matt! :)

Yelp
This was my second time doing the shark dive with One Ocean Diving. The first time was about 10 years ago. There were some changes to how they did things- probably for safety reasons. The experience was awesome just like the first time I did it and I will definitely do it again if given the opportunity. They educate you on shark conservation as well. I felt safe the whole time even though there were sharks all around us. The reason for not giving them 5 stars is that this time my friends and I bought the professional photography packet. The photographs were horrible, definitely not worth the price we paid for them. I didn't save any of the photographs cause they were so bad. We did reach out to them for a solution but were just told thank you for the feedback. The first time I did this the marine biologist took my GoPro and took some pictures for me which turned out 100% better than these pictures. Definitely won't be purchasing the photo packet again in the future.
google avatar

Shantell P.

Yelp
Everything about this experience was amazing, the education on sharks we received to actually getting in the water with the sharks. I felt totally safe with our safety diver Hayley, the photo package is worth it to have keepsakes for memories. I was expecting the sharks to be a little closer (there was hundreds of sharks way below us but only a few come up to check us out) All in all 100% worth it, we will be booking with one ocean every time we visit O'ahu in the future, every dive is different and I can't wait to be back in the open water with the beautiful sharks again. Yelp
One Ocean Diving is an awesome operator off the north shore that's great for first time or experienced divers/snorkelers. They always have plenty of safety divers in the water. They do a great job of keeping it fun but also educating customers on shark behavior and shark conservation. Our dive saw probably a dozen or so Galapagos sharks along with a handful of sandbars and blacktips. It's always an amazing time getting in the water with these animals, and One Ocean does it right!!

Jon R.

Yelp
It was amazing and great experience. Liko, Hayley, Drew and Sky made me feel so safe!
google avatar

Jake E.

Yelp
It was a magical experience to see so many sharks while in the deep blue ocean water with them. The crew of Liko, Hayley, and Drew did an awesome job of making us feel safe and educating us about sharks and conservation. We will most definitely go again sometime. What a cool and unique experience!
google avatar

Katriana G.

Yelp
Had an amazing time, not only did we see sharks but saw a bunch of dolphins and even a whale which was cool cause we didn't get to see any during our whale watching!!!
google avatar

Benjamin P.

Yelp
Definitely a great trip. Sharks everywhere, me and my group definitely felt safe. Not necessarily diving more like a snorkel but it is what it is you know. Boat trip out was extremely nice
google avatar

Cassandra S.

Yelp
All the crew was incredible! We saw about 10 sharks even a tiger shark. A must do experience. They do things to ensure you see the sharks such as shaking the ladder, engine starts and let you dive about 10 feet down to get closer. We will be back!
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
What an amazing day! Snorkeling with sharks. It was beautiful and peaceful. I wish I had pictures to post. They didn't try to sell us anything. It was a good time.
google avatar

Kylie W.

Yelp
WOW! This was my husbands and my 2nd trip out with OneOcean and it was an amazing experience yet again. It's super wild but no where else am I as comfortable swimming in the ocean as I am with this team even when surrounded by wild sharks! Don't hesitate to try this experience, you absolutely will not regret it. It's life changing and will give you such respect and appreciation for these beautiful and vitally important creatures. I cannot recommend them enough :)

Yelp
While we had planned on scuba diving on this trip, a series of events got in the way and prevented it. So with no real plan we flew off to Oahu to just enjoy some tropical vacation time. While having dinner one night another couple mentioned the north shore shark dives and they had a great time. At first we said oh yeah that would be great, we were supposed to be diving, only for them to counter oh no its snorkeling/freediving. So a few minutes of google searches and we landed on One Ocean. They make it abundantly clear that the boat ride has the chance to get bumpy and you should take seasickness meds in advance if you have proclivity towards it. The rest of the arrival instructions were pretty clear, and worked out well. If you have open heel fins, they will likely ask you to use their own fins. They say they don't want the whites of your feet flashing the sharks. I'm not a marine biologist so no idea, but seems reasonable enough. Once underway they will give you a nice little presentation about what to expect on the dive. You will tie off on the mooring ball then as gracefully as possible get into the water and hang onto, what divers would call a granny line, along one side of the boat (between the mooring line/bow and the stairs back onto the boat. The staff will take willing and interested guests away from the boat for shallow freedives. They request you don't descent deeper than the shallowest shark. Apparently, the shallower you are in the water column the higher on the shark pecking order you are, so they don't want divers going below and then ascending challenging that. Again not a biologist so nothing to back up the claim but hey it sort of makes sense. The day we were going out the current was ripping so when along the hull you were getting pushed into it or bounced into it a bit. Nothing really to do about it but just an observation. Having had some LA County freediving training it was pretty enjoyable and was able to descend down to max depth of maybe 10-15 and hang out for a little. With the current you had to keep kicking, stronly, so as to not get pushed under the boat. Some of the less experienced snorkelers had some issue getting under or had to have the guides escort them back a little bit. Oh bye the GoPro footage, it's totally worth it! Even if you bring your own, the guides will also be freediving next to you so you get some great shots! Overall it was a really great experience, and one I'd rebook in a heartbeat and with this same company.

Yelp
So disappointed they cancelled my charter for tomorrow. It was a special birthday dive while my BFF was in town from the mainland. They moved people out of our charter at 9:30 to a 8:30 and then we no longer had enough people for our charter to run. I had heard great things about this company but feeling so disheartened by the whole experience. So just be warned this could happen to you
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
My favorite thing to do on Oahu!! So many sharks, employees very helpful and professional and attentive. Group size relatively small. Love it will be coming back many times god willing!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I recently enjoyed my time with One Ocean Diving. The crew did a really good job at alleviating any concerns that guests had about enjoying their experience free swimming with sharks. The divers were very informative and gave us a lot of information about sharks and how they operate in the water. The nicest part was how concerned they were about us getting our moneys worth of our experience seeing sharks. We got in the water at one point and the amount of sharks dissipated, so the crew got us back in the boat and they worked their magic, switched locations and and we saw a ton more sharks. It was breath taking to look down and see endless sharks swimming. I would absolutely recommend this experience. The experience left me wanting more information and more hands on swimming! I can't wait to expand on this in the future.
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
I've been out with one ocean before and took my parents out yesterday during their visit! An amazing experience as always as we saw a tiger shark when we pulled up, then lots of Galapagos and sandbars in the deep blue!! The crew was an absolute party as well and so knowledgeable to help spread the good word and conservation about sharks!! Super big mahalo to Faith, Bryce, Marina and Paul for an AWESOME dive!
google avatar

B P.

Yelp
Happy anniversary Juan and Ocean! Thank you One Ocean Team! You guys truly made this an unforgettable experience this morning and we've already been twice before! Sharks, sharks and more sharks with the lovely sounds of whales in the background. This was everything you could want and more. See you tomorrow! :)
google avatar

Jeff T.

Yelp
Faith, John and Marina were absolute PROS!!! It was my 7th time and every time is AMAZING!!! MAHALO for all that they do raising awareness and being the best at what they do!!

Alyssa D.

Yelp
Had an absolute blast with this crew (Faith, Gina, Yasmin, and Kevin). Felt completely safe and at ease, would highly recommend for a fun, adrenaline-filled experience!
google avatar

Kyle C.

Yelp
We went shark diving. It was daggers! Gina was our safety diver and she totally rocked the boat. She explains everything clearly so that you feel safe enough to get into the water with a bunch of sharks. There is nothing between you and them but the water. It was all so professionally run that you just feel at peace with them. Would totally do it again!
google avatar

Miki G.

Yelp
Hands down the best experience in Hawaii! Boat and crew were excellent! Shout out to Gina-best safety diver EVER! The sharks were absolutely AMAZING!

D C.

Yelp
Pros: Started on time (big deal to me). Knowledgeable crew - passionate about sharks. Saw plenty of sharks and had ample time to enjoy them - just awesome! Cons: Choppy water - not for those prone to motion sickness (like me). We took the earliest morning tour because the water is supposedly calmer. But is was very rough. I took a Dramamine and still ended up doubled over for the last 20 minutes of the dive. I can't hold this against them. Recommended if you aren't going to get seasick PhotoPackage: The photos were good, but the videos stunk. Many of the videos were only 2 seconds long, and all you'd see is snorkel fins. Most were crooked or upside down, and flipped and flopped during the video. Finally, most of the keepable videos showed the diver, but very few sharks. Very disappointed. Overall: Highly recommended tour, but don't get the photo package. Bring your own Go-Pro or other underwater camera.
google avatar

Yelp
Unbelievable awesome trip today with One Ocean! Captain Bryce and Master Diver Andrew were amazing. The water was choppy and a bit Murder so we were worried, but Within minutes we saw a Tiger Shark! A massive 17' Female, she was beautiful and came out of nowhere right in front of us. We saw her a few times, then a second large Tiger Shark popped up. We will definitely do this again, these guys were great.

Savanah H.

Yelp
This was the best thing I've ever done! Gina and the whole crew was amazing and were very knowledgeable of sharks and the ocean. Being so close to the sharks was the most surreal experience. The sharks were beautiful and so calm and we were able to get close to them. I will be coming back for Tiger Shark season! Can't recommend this enough to everybody! Also highly recommend the photo package!
google avatar

Taylor R.

Yelp
If I could give it more stars I would! Saw so many sharks even tiger sharks. Crazy amount of fish and barracudas and jelly fish and a turtle. Felt like longer then two hrs out there. Best experience to knock off my bucket list. They will go pro u and take pics of you if you don't bring your own. They educate u a lot. Super nice people and Maine biologists came along with open diving no cage. If u follow ocean Ramsey or not you should because this company is theirs. They know what they r doing. Must must do! Just know to take Advil for headaches of mask and water kickin your butt. Overall hands down I would do it again!!!
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I had another amazing dive with One Ocean Diving! My safety diver Gina was phenomenal and so passionate about shark conservation. She's the best! Ty was an awesome photographer and I just love this organization so much. Thank you all again for everything!!
google avatar

Steven V.

Yelp
Five friends and I took an am excursion to see sharks with Mariah and her team. The crew was terrific. Extremely professional, approachable, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it.
google avatar

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
I had the best time and the staff were amazing! I'd like to see the ppl giving bad reviews do a better job than them I won't have my professional photos for 5 days but my son made this video while I was in the water
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
BEST EXPERIENCE WITH THE BEST CREW EVER! Got to swim and see 3 TIGER SHARKS! Sharks are such Peaceful animals. I would definitely come back again! Awesome Customer Service and Positive Vibes all around! Mahalo Bryce, Faith, G (I'm Sorry I forgot her full name but I know it's starts with a G), and Shane!

Kelsey Z.

Yelp
The absolute most incredible experience. Five for One Ocean! I wanted to thank all the staff, they were incredibly knowledgeable and very thorough during the briefing and ride out. I highly recommend One Ocean Diving. The prices are fair, and the entire staff is simply fantastic. I'll definitely be returning here for my future shark/ocean excursions!
google avatar

Brianna B.

Yelp
Very cool experience, they made sure everyone was safe , mentioned conservation. Overall great experience , clean boat. Crew for sure did not seem like they wanted to be there to be honest. There wasn't much hospitality and inside jokes were awkward. Girl with winter jacket could not be bothered. The ropes were very awkward for as many people they had in the water every one was swimming over one another bumping into each other. Was not like a natural encounter by any means. Lots of active sharks, just would have liked to have felt a bit more accommodation vs arrogance that was presented from the crew. We live here and based on the reviews we're hoping to send visitors and loved ones when they were in town . On the fence about this recommendation.

Ronald R.

Yelp
I just got back from the dive trip. We saw 5 different species including a Hammerhead and Tiger sharks. It was an amazing experience plus learned so much about sharks. Gina and Faith are fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable and very funny. This is definitely a lifetime highlight. You can have them take you GoPro footage for a small extra cost. This is my suggestion so you can concentrate on diving with the sharks. There is also an option to hire a professional still or video photographer. Much deeper below the boat there were hundreds of sharks. It was amazing.

Yelp
Ok what an experience!!! We booked this a few months ago and had been watching videos on social media about it. The videos are amazing but it is so completely surreal being there and seeing it all in person! Our safety guides Matt & Drew were great! They made us feel completely safe at all times. We had Matt on our side for the dive portion and he was great at getting us all out there several times. I highly recommend booking with them if you get the chance.

Yelp
What a magical, amazing experience. I felt totally safe and had no worries of the sharks being dangerous to me. It felt so peaceful and calming to be in there presence. This really helped me understand and respect sharks more, they really are gentle in their own way. So fascinating to experience. I cannot wait to go back and see tiger sharks. I loved this so much I actually went twice. Recommend buying the photo pkg.

Yelp
I had a great dive this week! I scheduled a 9:00 AM dive but then it was suggested to change it to 7:00 AM because of the water/wind conditions. There was an opening and I took it! The earlier the better, you don't want to have to reschedule especially if you're on vacation. The emails received once I made the booking was super helpful and informative. I parked and arrived maybe 10-15 minutes before the booking time, someone came over to check us in and they also gave us waivers to fill out before we got on the boat. Make sure you take some sea sickness pills before your dive! I don't usually get sea sick but I took one just in case and it was needed. It's a lot different than just riding on a catamaran for example. Everything started on time and there was plenty of dry storage on board to store your belongings. The crew was so informative and happy, they genuinely seemed like they love what they do and sharing fun, important information. Snorkels, rash guards and flippers are available if you need it at no extra cost! It wasn't a super long ride to get to the dive spot and once we were there they made it so easy and made you feel comfortable! You have the option to free dive in the water if you feel up to it, but if not you can admire the sharks from the side of the boat in the water. I got the photo package that also included the GoPro footage too. It was my first dive so I thought why not? It was worth it! It's pricey but definitely worth it. I had a male photographer that was great and gave tips on what to do and what not to do for some good shots. The shots were sent back really fast too. My dive was on Monday and I got my pictures today, on Friday. One of the girls I met said she did this before and spoke with the photographer and I about how she didn't get good pics or a lot- he was definitely disappointed that she had a not so great experience and made sure to get great shots! He did so well. (Sorry I can't remember everyone's name) I'm already planning my next dive and I am so thankful for the kind crew. Really made my experience awesome.

Yelp
I want to share my experience with One Ocean Diving. They were awesome. Captain Justin was very knowledgeable about the job that he's doing. He described everything about our tour to ocean. Faidh came with us in to the ocean and showed us sharks. Wow, there were a lot of sharks. We really enjoyed our tour. I will recommend them to everyone. Thanks Justin and Faidh, I appreciate it.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal! I'll be honest I was a bit nervous to get in the open ocean with sharks but the One Ocean team was so professional and safety-minded (not to mention extremely knowledgeable and encouraging!) that we were immediately at ease even when surrounded by sharks. Gina, Marina, our sweet photographer Bree and skipper Brian were incredible. This is a must!!!
