Korean food, soju, and karaoke with neon lights

"If neon lights and K-Pop jams are your speed, then dinner at One Shot Pocha will hit all the right marks. Everything at the Spring Branch soju bar feels lighthearted and fun. Chalkboard walls are filled with colorful notes from guests. Large orders of soju come served in a watermelon (which is now the only way we want to drink it). And reverb is just as likely to be heard from the crunch deep-fried chicken wings as from the speaker system. Come with your pals and hit the karaoke rooms after dinner to sing your heart out (and maybe even play a little tambourine, too)." - chelsea thomas, gianni greene
"If neon lights and K-Pop jams are your speed, then dinner at One Shot Pocha in Houston will hit all of the right marks. You can doodle notes on the chalkboard walls, crunch deep-fried chicken wings that create reverb just as loud as the speaker system, and drink soju out of a watermelon (the proper way to consume the beverage). Hit the karaoke rooms after dinner to sing your heart out and play a little tambourine, too." - anne cruz
"Open Until: 2am Wed-Mon (closed Tuesday) Unlike other party-forward spots, the food at One Shot Pocha, a Spring Branch soju bar, is more than just a means to soak up alcohol. The menu is full of shareable dishes meant to support people partying until 2am. The sticky glazed, deep-fried chicken wings are worth pestering your server for more napkins, and the army stew will require reinforcements to be finished, especially if you add the soft, chewy noodles to the party. Don’t let the thinly sliced bulgogi fool you—the sweet beef (and the banchan that comes with it) will fuel your fiercest power ballads for the rest of the night. Everything at One Shot Pocha is high energy, but we’d come for the food even if the backdrop were a library." - chelsea thomas, gianni greene
"Even though it’s a relatively dark, neon-laden bar, One Shot Pocha is decidedly absent of couples. This Spring Branch spot’s devotees are usually rowdy birthday gangs splitting glazed, deep-fried chicken wings until 2am. And if you do see two people conversing intensely, they’re probably planning which spirited duet to sing later in one of the private karaoke rooms." - gianni greene, chelsea thomas
"We’re just as likely to head to One Shot Pocha in Spring Branch for a 10-piece of wings as we are for an opportunity to sing a power ballad in their karaoke rooms. Each order is glazed with garlic soy or sweet and spicy sauce, and comes with enough crispy skin to constitute its own meal. The flavors are delicious and worth the small mountain of napkins used while you finish the chicken." - chelsea thomas, gianni greene
