Don’t let the name fool you—its double smash burger is a downtown standard, paired with twice-fried Belgian-style frites. Featured by local TV and a finalist in regional polls, it delivers classic flavors at friendly prices.

Awesome resto north of the arena (9 min away) with super smash burgers, fries made to perfection, and a chill atmosphere. Great food on a budget, too! I highly recommend visiting. :)

Google
Happy Fat Tuesday! Although I dont think I fully know what foie gras tastes like from this hot dog from foie grass garnsih shavings on top mixed in with yummy cheese, but this paczki/Fat Tuesday hot dog combo just works! The dog had the perfect snap w/ the fresh & oft pillows paczki dough & slightly tangy, slightly sweet prune donut filling was an excellent balance with the savory meat & nutty cheese combi! It was pretty darn good! Will definitely come back here again! Nice small quick neighborhood in & out place with some available dine in seating as well. Folks are Super friendly too!

Google
Had the veggie Chicago dog. Delish! Service was super friendly and the place has such a good atmosphere. Definitely stop in and get a Chicago dog ( also that curry ketchup is so good)

My boyfriend and I spontaneously stopped here while in town for a couple of days, 5/5! We each had a Smash Burger and Onion Rings. The 'ranch dusting' that came on the rings was perfection!

As someone who likes to try the olive burger anytime I see it on a menu, I have to say One Stop Coney has THE BEST olive burger I've ever tried. It's a smash burger which was also cooked better than any other smash burger I've tried to date. I chose mine with cheddar and just mayo but the way they cook the burger puts it over the top. Plus the great atmosphere! They had great music playing and the whole place just felt welcoming. Prices are very reasonable, especially for such delicious food!

Google
Awesome dogs! Amazing staff. Great atmosphere. Got to try a local drink called Vernon's. Very tasty. Even got a taste of it in a float from one of the staff. Definitely a great place to come check out. If we are ever back in the area, we will return for another coney.

Google
Okay this place is amazing. The patty melt and chili cheese Belgian fries were so yummy! I enjoyed the Great vibe and friendly humans. The decor is nostalgic 90s pop culture and I enjoyed it very much. Happy plate!

Yelp
Apparently I have been living under a rock because I didn't get to try this place out until today. Holy amazeballs! They have THE best Jamocha shake. I got a chili cheese dog (chili, cheese, onions) and added hot peppers to it, and also an elote dog (mayo, corn, hot cheeto crumbs). My husband got the Chicago dog (green relish, sport peppers, pickle spears, mustard, tomatos) and Hot Pepper dog (tomatos, saurkraut, deep fried hot dog, hot peppers). They were all so good! I love that the hot dogs are snappy, and they are super generous with the toppings. We got chili cheese fries and the owner recommended that we eat them with the curry mayo. 10/10 recommendation. Our hot dogs came out super fast, which was awesome because I didn't realize that they close at 7 and we walked in at 6:30, but they were super friendly and accommodating. This is now one of my new favorite hotdogs spots!

Yelp
Overall, just a really great place. It's a little hole in the wall but it's huge on atmosphere and flavor! The music in the background just sets the mood, right. They're not trying to be the local nightclub. Their tunes are mellow just to fit the vibe of sitting here eating a couple hot dogs looking out the window onto the street watching cars go by. If you're in Grand Rapids and you've got time and you're in the mood for a good quality hot dog, you're not gonna find a better place !!

Yelp
Love this place! Good spot for a burger or hot dog! They have lots of plants and also video games set up in the back if you wanna play! The service is excellent! Kind and super great people! Food is delicious and comforting and something you crave! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Had to try the hotdog paczki hot dog. It's basically a jelly filled doughnut with a hotdog and shredded cheese on top. It was really good. I was surprised oh and I also had the Korean corn dog which someone said was like a sweet hot dog and it is. It's like a hotdog covered by a deep fried doughnut

Yelp
Loved it. The first two were so good, I went back for two more. My first time trying Michigan coney dogs. I picked the right spot.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places! The prices are super reasonable and the portions are great! The staff is super fun, efficient, and just so nice. Everything I've had is delicious. I personally like the hot dogs the most. They have an assortment of ketchups like curry ketchup that are all great and fun to try. The restaurant is small but you can get food to go when you order. I like all the gaming and tv memorabilia then have decorating the restaurant.

Yelp
The dogs were great and so were the fries. Plus the service was also excellent. We took our grandson there for his 16th birthday and he was awarded a complimentary ice cream cone. It is a very, very small place which probably adds to its mystique.

Yelp
As a native Detroiter living in GRap, I am beyond upset that I'm just now trying One Stop because they have by far the best coneys in the area. Strolled in after a library visit a couple weeks ago (and again today) and so glad I did. The shop is small however they do have seating inside and two tables with two chairs each outside. Despite how busy it can be, each customer is greeted when they walk in which is rare these days. The prices were comparable and they have a variety of coneys. The Detroit coney made me feel like home and was absolutely delicious with the toppings piled sky high! The onion rings are HUGE! I liked the ranch dusting however if you're not a fan, make sure to get them without. The fries are also a great portion and tasty! I plan to stop in every time I take my daughter to the main branch of the library, it's totally worth it!

Yelp
I did a search on Yelp in the area, and One Stop Coney Shop popped up as a highly favorable place. I was in the mood to try some Coney Dogs, and looking over the reviews and pics this place looked really good. Well I must tell you this place did not disappoint! It lived up to the hype and expectations, excellent quality coney dogs and selections. I walked in and they were a bit busy, only a few tables to sit but nearly all taken so the 2 staff were vigorously working the queue. I first noticed they had ranch dressing on a pump - wow - and curry ketchup too. Turns out they make those in-house, and I sampled them - - very good. Looking over the menu I also asked for some feedback, of course everything is good here, I like a selection so we got the Detroit, Flint, Chicago, and GR. Oh - and Fried Bologna Sandwich? Hell yes. And the threw in some fries for me - very nice! Food comes out pretty quick here, they are relatively efficient with their execution. We were so pleased with everything we sampled. Here's the breakdown: - Chicago Dog - this was my favorite. It was authentic, hotdog had a nice snap, poppy seed bun, the right relish, it was superb. I nearly ate the whole thing right there but held back since there were others to sample. - The Flint - has different chili, and I think this was my 2nd place hotdog - although to be honest the Chili Cheese Dog and Detroiter were so good too, they are all in the same group. I loved all of these dogs, very authentic, great flavor too, the chili was spot-on. - The GR is a new one for me, it has the shredded dill pickle onions. The owner (Conner - very nice guy) said this is a popular item on the menu and it did not disappoint. I liked the shredded dill pickle on it. - Fried Bologna Sandwich - very good, on Texas Toast, full of flavor. I liked something different and I am a bologna fan, I would definitely get this again. The lettuce and mayo provide a refreshing additive to the sandwich. - The Fries - were fabulous. A little thicker cut, but they were fresh and made to order which I appreciated - not sitting in the bin. Some of the best fries I've had since I could remember, crispy and full of flavor. On our 2nd visit back several weeks later, we got a repeat of the above but also added Onion Rings and the Olive Burger. The Onion Rings have a very crispy coating, crunchy, and if you like that (instead of breaded or softer coating) then you will love these onion rings. Very good. I was really impressed with their Olive Burger. Plenty of olives and it married well with the meat. Other olive burgers I've tried had too much of the mayo spread and not enough olives, very disappointing, but One Stop's Olive Burger rocks! I would definitely get this again and highly recommend! The owner is often here and he is a really nice guy, loves to talk coneys and Michigan and anything and everything festive. Very friendly and superb customer service every time I have been here. I also have to mention I am so very pleased with the portions and what you get for your money here. Hotdogs are large, they snap, taste great, and plenty of chili and toppings on it - they do not skimp here. The quality of their food here is top notch. I cannot say enough about One Stop Coney Shop - they are now my go-to Coney Island in the west side of the mitten. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Very generous on their toppings and some creative menu offerings. Loved the elote dog and their fresh fries! The dog itself was pretty standard, but service was great and super fast. Would eat again!

Yelp
Food is food Service is good Ambiance is what you expect for place like that. When I was there a homeless woman in a wheelchair came in and asked for a meal and the guy fed her without question. I left a 10 tip ‍. They were very nice to her on that rainy day.

Yelp
I love the retro quirkiness of this shop plus their monster house plants. They even have a Nintendo 64 in the back with two controllers to play with. Parking available right out front (pay by meters or the MOTU app; free after 5pm). The cheeseburger had good flavor but the buns threw me off. It has a croissant like density so when you go in for a bite, it's feels flat. The pickles were cut a bit too thick and the mustard smeared a little heavy because it came across as sour to me. The fries were good. They have 3 ketchup flavors that you can help yourself to at the counter: regular, garlic, and curry. Mustard and mayo available too. The veggie dogs themselves were deep fried and dry. The chippy dippy which has dill sauce, potato chips, & fresh dill had a nice flavor. The chili cheese was lacking. I'd like to come back to try other items. Their "ripped" (deep fried) hot dogs have some out there toppings that I bet would be great non-veggie.

Yelp
Finally, I get to try this place.....the place that's made me drool for months! I follow their tasty adventures on Instagram and One Stop has been on my list for a while. You need to come with an appetite, it's not healthy at all BUT you're allowed to indulge! We ordered a variety of hot dogs and a burger. The dogs were delicious! They were not lacking in quality which was very much appreciated. If condiments are wild...great...however, the core of a hot dog is the hot dog! Thank you One Stop for staying true to this principle ! The elote dog was my favorite but so was the corn dog. I love a good corn dog, keep it classic! A must try us the curry mayo. Wow! It really paired nicely with the kimchi dog. If you're into curry this is where it's at! One note, the music vibes were totally awesome. I was jamming the whole time. Please visit you won't be disappointed !

Yelp
What a great place for lunch. The Detroit style coney dogs are right on! We enjoyed an order of fresh dipped onion rings that were the best we have had in some time. Small, privately owned, service oriented, with great food. They have many selections, but we had a craving for a coney. They are the "third" best... (next to American and LayFayette) for Detroit style.
google avatar

Yelp
Yummmmmmmm - we had their dogs at an event, not the restaurant, but the food was delicious. I got the Aloha dog and a GR dog. I was really surprised that the ingredients on the Aloha went so well together - it was fantastic. The GR dog was everything that I would have put on a dog if i built my own - heavenly. They do NOT skimp on the toppings, and it was incredibly messy to eat. Just how it should be. We also were blessed with some free fries - the dipping options were the thing that blasted me into ecstasy. Curry Mayo, Curry ketchup, Ranch (not your average ranch), and more... I'll certainly be making a trip to their regular location.

Yelp
Best spot in town for a Detroit style coney dog or a smash burger IMO. Authentic Koegel Detroit & Flint Cones, Chicago style, and the menu rotates some special items - Currently a stuffed jalapeno dog I am eager to try. They have the best hand-cut Belgian fries around and hand dipped onion rings. Also, garlic and curry spiced ketchup and mayo in addition to the regular condiments. Owner Conner offers impeccably friendly service. There are old school video games available for the kiddos, and tasty grilled cheese varieties. Dogs can be ripped (deep fried) or grilled. The fried Baloney sammie is comforting. The olive burgers nostalgic (like Mr. Fables of GR lore). Veggie dog and burger options. Fountain sodas with refills. Dine in is clean but limited space. You can sit in the front with a street view and watch out for the parking ticket meter maid. I only wish they had longer hours because I love a late night dog.

Yelp
Me and my cousin stopped here to place a carry out order for lunch when I was in town for Christmas last year. Although I had Yesterdog's last time I was here, I wanted to try another place that offers chili cheese dogs. I ordered two without onions and mustard along with an order of fries. As we were waiting for our order I noticed that they steam their buns and you can't go wrong with a steamed bun lol. The dogs weren't too bad. Even though I prefer my chili a little spicy but they were quite tasty. I love the fact that they have hand cut fries and anyone who does this and can cook them just right will always win my heart over every time. For the quality and price it was worth it. Sorry for posting almost 3 months after I was here, but I am going to start getting better at posting reviews much sooner rather than so much later.

Yelp
Food: 5, Service: 5, Ambiance: 3. This is one of favorite hole in the wall hot dog locations in Grand Rapids. It's absolutely worth a visit since Blue Dog seems to be falling far from delivery. Their side options are a must try if you go.

Yelp
My family stopped by after checking out the children's museum since it is walking distance from there. We thoroughly enjoyed plain hotdogs, a Chicago dog, a Korea dog, a corn dog, and some fries. Good stuff!

Yelp
Bologna sandwich was off the hook good! The staff assisted me with every question I had. Service and good were simply awesome!!

Yelp
I love this place. The food is great, the owner and one other guy run the place as far as I can tell, and they can cook. Everything is great. The fried bologna sandwich is what first told me this place is different. It's amazing! FRIED BOLOGNA SANDWICH - deep-fried koegel bologna, cheddar cheese, dill pickles, wavy potato chips, shredded lettuce, mayo, mustard ...$9 It's not an everyday thing, but a great treat once in a while. The fries are great, fried in beef tallow. They're right up there as a contender for the best fries in town, and the curry ketchup and curry mayo are some of the best condiments ever. The place is small, the music playlist they're rocking is usually great, and they have an N64 or a Gamecub in the corner with Mario Kart on it. Highly recommend this hidden treasure.

Patrick C.

Yelp
Awesome food. Great variety of options. Reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. They don't care about timing for takeout orders, though. Ordered at 1:05p, quoted 20 minutes for 1:25p pickup time. Walked in at 1:30p, they hadn't started a single thing on my order. They also tried to give me my order without giving me the drink I ordered. Waited in their shop 10 minutes before receiving my order, which defeated the purpose of ordering ahead completely. But again, awesome food and super friendly staff. Perhaps just not the best option if you're on a time crunch.
google avatar

Sophie J.

Yelp
This place has great Chicago dogs! I also highly recommend the onion rings - maybe the best I've ever had..
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Excellent snap on the dogs. We had a Detroit, and Flint Coney. Both were great. Onion Rings were very good. A little too much salt, but very good. Very fun inside. From the old McDonalds glasses to the video game. Friendly staff, and good service.

Yelp
A perfect quick but tasty lunch option in GR! I'd say One Stop Coney is serving the best hot dogs in town. I'm vegetarian but my partner is not and he raved about his chili dogs. He says the chili to dog ratio is perfect and much better quality than the Eastown competition. The BBQ vegan dog I had was great, but the fries will keep me coming back! The traditional belgian frites offered are fried in beef fat which I'm SURE are delicious. The vegan-oil fries were amazing though and totally indulgent. There are a ton of condiment choices which I love. The garlic ketchup and spicy ranch were perfect for the fries. The staff was so friendly and they double checked if I needed vegan cheese vs. dairy which I SO appreciate. That kind of attention to detail and customer service is important. Must try if you haven't! I'll be a repeat patron.

Yelp
I've been seeing social media posts about One Stop Coney Shop and heard there were new owners, so I was excited to check it out again. They also have extended evening hours now, which is so nice and more convenient. Plus sometimes I just want hot dogs for dinner! Anyway, I ordered for takeout online which was really easy. The food was ready in 15 minutes or so which was perfect. The menu is mostly the same with a few welcomed additions. The basic categories here are dogs, burgers, grilled cheese, Belgian fries, ripped dogs (deep fried hot dogs), and a build your own section. My boyfriend and I ordered the Kimchi ripped dog, an olive burger, a cone of fries, and a build your own dog with coleslaw, chili, mustard, and we added shredded cheese at home. This was our homage to the Hampton Meeks of the olden days of Jonny B'z at its prime, #ifyouknowyouknow. Our food was just getting finished up when we arrived and we were offered some complimentary housemade sauces. We picked the curry mayo and ranch. We chatted with the new owners a bit and they were super friendly and nice. I learned after looking at their website a bit more that Conor used to work at One Stop as an employee and is now owner. I thought that was pretty cool. I'm glad they kept the original spirit of the place alive but added their own creative flair to the menu. Also, I heard him mention "the Hampton Meeks" which was really funny and gave us a chuckle. That dog is legendary in GR! Anyway, the food was all hot and fresh and packaged well. I am pleased to report that the fries were much improved this time! Seasoned really well and very fresh. We loved all the sauces but I think the curry mayo is still my favorite. I dug into the olive burger first because it was so nicely presented. A+ for sure! A nicely seasoned and crisp on the edges smash patty with the perfect amount of olives, fresh lettuce and tomato. The bun was soft and pillowy. I loved this olive burger! The kimchi dog was my pick and I really enjoyed it. I think it would be just fine as a regular dog but the bacon wrapped deep fried dog was an indulgent treat. The kimchi and spicy mayo gave it a bit of heat and zip. Really well done, I would even add more kimchi at home next time, but I LOVE kimchi. The Hampton Meeks dog we created was tasty and the chili definitely seems homemade and very flavorful! The buns are still steamed but were less messy this time around, also much appreciated. I am so excited for Conor and Olivia and their new venture at One Stop Coney Shop, and I'm looking forward to trying more menu items - the grilled cheese options sound especially tasty!

Yelp
Update: One Stop Coney Shop has new owners and is open again! We stopped in after seeing some Facebook posts and hearing they were open under new management! We ordered 2 Slaw Dogs, 1 Kimchi Dog, and their daily special, the Elote Dog. We also ordered a small order of fries. We loved our food and we enjoyed talking to the new owners. So glad to see someone is keeping this shop going and they are loving it! The hours are much better now and the menu has been slightly tweaked. Definitely stop by and try this again!

Yelp
Just passing through GR and was craving a good Chicago style hotdog. Didn't really expect anything, but stopped in to support a local business. This place hit the spot! Anyone looking for a local place that makes good eats and quick bites, this would be the place. From the different verities of hotdogs to the burgers, you won't be disappointed. Don't forget about the side orders and condiments.

Yelp
Great spot especially for price! Cant beat it. Would definitely go again. Had the cheeseburger no pickle. Might ask for less mustard next time around.

Yelp
The best burgers and dogs in town! Great owners and terrific service! They've added onion rings to their menu and they are fantastic!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Poutine, double smashburger, bbq ripped dog, Korean Corndog, and hand dipped onion rings.
google avatar

Katie W.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick bite. Always super service from the owners and delicious nostalgic foods. Fried bologna sandwich - Delicious take on something so dull like bologna. The toppings really do it for me and add a ton of flavor. Onion rings - boy I hope they keep these on the menu! They are currently a special but it's hard to find delicious hand battered onion rings in the area. They have a savory ranch seasoning on top that is *chefs kiss* GR dog - my favorite dog they have. A classic chili dog with onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard. A childhood favorite of mine! Ripped dogs - we have tried all of the ripped dogs and I can't put my finger on which one is the best. They are all verrrry tasty! A refreshing take on typically simple menu item.

Doug C.

Yelp
Awesome Coney Dogs - the Flint style is some of the best I've had and I grew up very close to Flint. The fries and onion rings are worth it on their own too - crispy and very flavorful. Service is top notch!

Yelp
IHEARTGR FAVORITE ALERT ⁣ ⁣ There are so many reasons why we @onestopconey ⁣ ⁣ For one, they have some of the coolest and delicious specials!⁣ We're particularly happy that the Elote dog will be added to the everyday menu. ⁣ ⁣ YES! WE SAID ELOTE. ⁣ ⁣ Now, after you stop jumping up and down out of extreme happiness, let's talk about the other reasons to love One Stop Coney. ⁣ ⁣ In addition to coney dogs, they offer ripped dogs that are deep fried! We recommend the Return of the Mac or Kimchi dog! ⁣ ⁣ Their Belgian fries ROCK and they have unique dipping sauces that include:⁣ ⁣ *Garlic ketchup⁣ *Curry ketchup⁣ *Garlic Mayo⁣ *Curry Mayo⁣ ⁣ Not a hot dog fan? They have lip-smackin' smash burgers and grilled cheese too! ⁣ ⁣

Yelp
Great food! I had the chili dog with mustard (pretty good) and the "Ranch" dog. This was wrapped in bacon, deep fried, plus ranch and lettuce. (Incredible). The fries were the low point. They were pretty mushy when a crispy fry would have been 5 stars. The sauces were really nice. Garlic ketchup (yum) and homemade Ranch. I would definitely come here again! Ps: this place is Ranch Certified!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
This is definitely a little stop as you're walking downtown but I'd say it's a decent coney spot! My friend and I went only because we wanted a Korean corn dog and they seemed to have it on special! Hours are limited (only until 7pm) so it's not a late night spot. There are some seats to sit outside or in but not large at all. The pop machine was also broken and being replaced so drink options were also limited. Unfortunately, we both thought the corn dog was honestly pretty lackluster. All parts individually were great, the outside was crispy and not oily, filled with cheese but it only included half a hot dog for the whole thing. It was pretty disappointing because I felt like I was eating a big mozzarella stick earlier then finally got to enjoy a bit of a hot dog. The fries were good and they had decent dipping sauces (curry ketchup, garlic ketchup, ranch and curry mayo) but this isn't a spot I'd seek out again! Decent food but not spectacular.

Yelp
Ugh. This place really just hits the spot. Fries are awesome, shakes are too. Burgers are juicy and the hot dogs are killer. My favorite thing about this place is the dill shreddies. I don't like relish but love a good helping of shreddies, especially since they don't have them everywhere. Everything is made to order and it really shows. I also highly suggest getting a shake from them. They use chocolate or strawberry sauce instead of flavored ice cream so you get more of a punch of flavor.

Megan P.

Yelp
Yesterdog is dead to me. Yes, I said it -- I can feel you judging me. I grew up here, I got into a huge fight with my then-boyfriend, now-husband about Yesterdog when he -dared- say that it was anything less than the pinnacle of hot-dog perfection. Other reviews will say not to compare the two, that they're not the same, but if you're in the market for a hotdog, this would be my recommendation. The food is good. Stupid good. We've tried nearly everything on the standard menu and everything is hot, made fresh and fast, and delicious. The owners and staff are also exceedingly nice. From the first time that we came in with overwhelmed looks on our faces to the people who are clearly regulars -- everyone gets the same amount of patient and kind back and forth.

Bill M.

Yelp
The GR Dog is perfect! Has been since we moved here from CA almost 3 years ago. Gr Dog

Yelp
WOW, this place is a hidden gem. Got recommended from a business partner of mine. And it's amazing and nice to see a small shop like this execute such great quality of food. And I got to kick my daughter bu*t in some Mario cart while we waited for our food. Which this place was busy and we still didn't wait that long. We will definitely be back. Thank you One Stop‼

Yelp
Very nice people and seem to love what they do! Local business and great food! Highly Rex if I'm GR and need a quick bite on the run!

Yelp
Amazing dogs and Smash-Style burgers. Prices can't be beat..highly recommend almost anything on the menu.

Yelp
Absolutely frickin amazing!!! My hubby said it's the best restaurant burger he's ever had. (I had a bite as well, and it was amazing)!!! I had the Flint (Jackson) coney and it was almost too good to be a coney. I'm used to coneys being a cheap, no fuss hot dog which are chow in their own way. But here 1 hot dog is a a delicious quality, tasty and filling meal. There French fries tasted homemade along with the garlic ketchup they have, made them next level. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Very highly recommended!!!

Daniel C.

Yelp
The Korean Corn Dog is amazing! The fries are easily 10times better than 5guys. Be sure to try the garlic and curry ketchup. Hands down the best dogs in Grand Rapids!!!

Mark Z.

Yelp
The best coney place in Grand Rapids, as a former east sider. Staff is awesome and friendly. This place gets overshadowed by some of the more "well-known" coney places, but it should be everybody's go-to.
google avatar

Serinee T.

Yelp
Just moved to MI from CA where In & Out has been a staple in my weekly take out rotation. I've only been to two burger places in Grand Rapids so far, and I think this place truly has a great cheeseburger. Although take out is the only option so far, I loved the feel of the shop and how the burgers were made fresh on the spot. I also love how it's family-owned. The only suggestion I have is to add more fries to the "cone" because it was a bit on the pricey side and had few fries in my opinion. But I will definitely stop by more often while I'm around.

Yelp
Amazing food! Family owned! The owners are the best! Make you feel like home!!Check them out!!

Yelp
One of my favorite spots to eat in town. Great food, great management, awesome marginally-rotating menu with new interesting items all the time. Highly recommend.
