One Under Craft Beer & Eats

I recently had the pleasure of being served by G at One Under, and I can't say enough good things about her! From the moment we sat down, her smile lit up the room, instantly making us feel welcome. G's efficiency was impressive; she navigated the menu with ease and answered all our questions with confidence. Her knowledge of the extensive draft beer selection was particularly noteworthy—she provided excellent recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. If you're looking for a dining experience where the service is as exceptional as the food and drinks, make sure to ask for G. She truly made our visit memorable!

I'm not sure what sauce they give you with the sweet potato fries but it is CRACK. It almost reminded me of a maple cinnamon butter. The sliders were also tasty 🍔

The food was awful. The 4 of us stopped in here for lunch after seeing the good reviews. We ordered the mozzarella wedges for an appetizer for $12 and three small triangles with a small amount of cheese inside each was brought out, they didn't reflect the price. The table proceeded to order entrees. The fries that came out with all four orders were very soggy, like the deep fryer wasn't warmed up before dropping them in. My friends Reuben was extremely soggy and couldn't pick the sandwich up due to the wet bread. The sliders one of us ordered came out completely dry and unappealing. The chicken sandwich and chicken wrap were both very bland. After eating, I've come to the conclusion that all of the positive reviews have to come from drunk people who are fresh off the golf course and would eat anything. They say it's right next to the bar also when the whole room was empty so it was nothing but loud people coming up to the bar every two minutes. Overall disappointing experience and won't be back.

Simply loved the ambience and vibe of this place. Definitely have a good collection of beers on tap. You can get a 5 oz flight of 4 beers for about $12 to try them all. They also have a large outdoor seating area which would be great during summer. Food is really good too although the options might be slightly limited for vegetarians. Expect the place to be crowded during weekends and holidays.

Quite literally a hidden gem! They have a huge list of beer on draft and good service. Many TVs with live sports and a big patio with heater Food comes fast and portion is pretty big too.

Over a span of two hours, we only had 2 drinks during a long wait for food. Waitress must have been new…hardly visited the table, a bit rough on the edges, and mixed up everyone’s checks. To top it off, we asked a staff member to request the manager….who never showed up!!! Never seen that before…VERY POOR dining experience!

A lively neighborhood bar with a great beer selections, good drinks, and quite decent bar food. We had a great time on Saturday night; service was excellent. I had one of the cocktails listed on the menu - something botanical with elderflower and vodka. Delightful and not too sweet. We ordered buffalo wings and the chicken artichoke egg rolls for apps - both were good, but those egg rolls are really delicious. I'd for sure order those again. I then had the reuben with sweet potato fries, which they're known for, but they're just frozen waffle sweet potato fries served with this odd sweet yogurt dip. I traded that out for ranch and enjoyed them, but I think I'd just get regular fries next time. The reuben was good, but they don't press the corned beef after slow cooking, so it's a little chewy and was a bit difficult to eat. I still managed just fine. My husband's Cuban sandwich was really tasty, and my Dad's burger looked good. Solid food with lots of TVs and some games to play, a really nice private room for groups, good service, I'd return for sure.

Webster's dictionary defines 'paradise' as "a place or state of bliss, felicity, or delight". I define it as One Under Craft Beer & Eats. As the kids say, "this place slaps." The food? Awesome. Drinks? Great selection. The staff? They'll keep you coming back (especially Brandie). I would recommend this place to anyone- whether you're just going for dinner or to watch a game.

We came here with a group of folks and it was our first time here. Positives: - friendly staff who made sure any issues were quickly resolved - incredible chicken wings Not so good: - the chicken lettuce wraps were disappointing. Small portion of way too sweet chicken and a massive amount of lettuce. I didn't even put on any of the sauce that came with them as it was already way too sweet. And there was too much sauce on the chicken. It was almost cloyingly sweet. I will never order that again. - the tall chairs were difficult to sit on when the tables have no bar you can rest your feet on. As a chubby woman, I felt like I was going to slide off the seat.

We have visited this location quite a few times and always enjoy the ambiance and food. The service is always friendly albeit a bit slow. That being said, we are usually there to see a game so if you just order a few then you won't have to wait. Unless you just like your beer super cold. Beer list is HUGE

This is such a hidden gem that everyone needs to try! Wings and wraps are amazing! Huge selection on draft as well. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Definitely will become a regular place for us

The service is awesome , the place has a great atmosphere for sports , food is made from scratch not just reheated Gordon food like many places .

I'm a pretty simple woman to please. Their cobb salad is delicious. My mom and I go here for this, after a friend introduced us to this place. They also have Kona Big Wave on tap (which no, as a gluten free person I'm not supposed to drink but it's a weakness) so they get extra points in my book. I've honestly never had anything but their cobb salad because of the gluten factor, but the salad is honestly enough for me for whichever meal of the day I land here. A nice outdoor eating space. Attentive staff. Quickly becoming a favorite.

Good food and even better service. This is a great place to watch a game. It can get a little hectic and loud. They have a DJ on Saturday nights.

Great food, service, vibes and all around a great bar. Julian is a great bar tender and the owners are extremely caring people who care for there customers. 10/10 bar.

Huge sports bar. They have an extensive draft beer selection. Food was standard bar fare but I enjoyed the corned beef (reuben) sandwich with a side of waffle cut sweet potato fries. The fries came with a (honey?) sweetened sour cream dipping sauce which made the fries taste like a yummy dessert. The place is pretty dark. Outside seating. My server was on top of things. I'm stingy with stars. 3 stars means i'd meet friends there if they wanted.

Amazing food, amazing service - yes, thank you Candes!!! I can't wait to return!! It was definitely a great time!! Highly recommend the wings .... best I've had in a long time! French dip is also really good!!

This restaurant is AWESOME! Great service and food. We LOVE everything we have gotten from there, but my favorite is the chicken wrap. Great staff and amazing service. Brandie was our server ,she was very nice and very attentive. Our drinks were always full . We have recommended this restaurant to our friends and family and go there frequently.

This restaurant is AMAZING!!! I love their food and their service. My favorite is the French Dip, Tenderloin Tips, Pretzels, and their wraps. Brandie is my server and she is always so nice and helpful. Really goes above and beyond for EXCELLENT service!!!! :)

We were really excited to try this place out again. However, we couldn't even order food as the music was so loud we had to leave. We've been there during the previous ownership and the food wasn't too good. The steak was grizzled, potatoes were overcooked, veggies were overcooked and salty. We were also there for a banquet and the food was wonderful! The service was great.

Made reservations because they had a DJ for Saturday night and the DJ canceled. Had some appetizers which were really good but very disappointed because we wanted to dance.

Eat here on a revalue basis, as I think the food has improved. My go tos are grilled chicken wrap with honey mustard, and French dip. Both are great with their sweet potato fries. I've had wings and lettuce wraps, which are also good. I have also been to a wedding here. I would give 5 stars for that, however, bride and groom upgraded menu to filets. One of the best wedding meals I've had.

I gave a 1 one star rating. It should be a negative. This is the second event that my employer has held at this venue. The first one was a disaster because of staffing. I waited 45 minutes for a glass of water before hunting down a pitcher to serve myself. The food was less than ordinary. We were promised a better experience if we returned. What a joke! I have an allergy to black pepper so our coordinator requested a special meal several weeks in advance. I could only attend for the first 45 minutes so it was imperative for them to have the food ready. Nothing was prepared as requested. At one point one of the waitstaff brought me a plate of sliced beef and then said it contained black pepper. Another remarked that I should simply scrape the pepper off. I was offered a special meal, but the length of time it would take to prepare it meant it would be ready after I had to leave. It would have been one thing if they had simply said we cannot accommodate your food request up front. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Furthermore, I will strongly advise my employer to avoid future events at this place.

Food was sub par at best! Service was even worse! Took forever to get service. When she finally stop BSing she came over with an attitude. For the price lame food and watered down drinks. Wasn't worth the ten minute drive!

Stopped in on Friday night with my husband and got a seat on the patio right away- it was nice to have no wait! Their patio has has been expanded since I was there last (pre-covid). there's lots of high top seating. We got a table over looking the golf course which was nice. The food was delicious. I had the Chicken wrap with spicy thai sauce- YUM! Its half eaten in the photo lol I clearly couldn't wait to dig in lol. My husband had a burger & fries- the fries were the seriously the best fries I've ever had in my life!

Had 2 drinks on the deck today at one under. Service was so slow. I had intentions to eat and drink in this location but I watched the slowest service ever. I just knew I didn't have hours to wait for drinks and food. I love this place and it's my favorite place in Livonia but I was so disappointed today. Please pay attention to the people who come into your location. I won't be back for a while.

Honestly I've been here so many times and I just can't complain. From drinks for first dates, to their NYE party to dinner on a Tuesday. Always a great beer selection. All the food I've ever had from here hits the spot! Usually service is on par, sometimes it can be lagging. I love the feel between hole in the wall bar and downtown. Also I saw they're doing some construction/renovation. Can't wait to see it!

This place is so busy, and the staff was amazing. Especially Miller. She and a teammate handled our party of 40+ women on a night with multiple parties going on. Our drinks were timely, checks were accurate, and service was done with a smile. The only down side with this large group was the pizza was not fantastic... it was bland, the sauce needs some zing I think. The salad was perfect.

Visited for lunch. Very good Greek Salad. They've really renovated and it looks fantastic! I was sad to find out the only vodka they have was Tito's (yuck) and Ketel One. No Grey Goose!? Not even Absolut!

A big change to this place and it is all good. Lots of new outside eating area and a slight redo to the lower dining area. This was the first time we have been there for dinner and it was good. I had the burger medium and it came out exactly right and juicy. My wife had the Club sandwich and loved it. We both had a house cab and it was good Service by Brenna G was perfect.

We stopped at 1 Under because their website said they had 76 beers on tap. Okay. Let's try it! This restaurant is on a golf course (hence the name). We were there for lunch on a Sunday. It is definitely a sports bar and if we had been there to watch football, it would have been a great spot since there is plenty of seating and TVs all over the place. We sat at the bar. Our bartender was really friendly and attentive. My boyfriend is a craft beer snob and hates it when a restaurant or brewery does not keep their beer menus up to date. Not the case at 1 Under. A nice, simple, easy to update piece of paper with all of their current beers. He was happy to find beer on the menu that he had not tried. We both ate salads. I had the crumbled cobb salad and he had the 1 Under salad. Both were lunch portion and both were enormous. I loved my salad--full of fresh ingredients and the chicken on the salad was delicious. Not dried out and cold like what you would normally find on a cobb salad. My boyfriend loved his salad--the candied walnuts were really good. We definitely enjoyed our lunch. Check it out!

We use their venue for my sister-in-law's memorial service and all I can say is wow. As I sit and talk with family about what these people did for us it's evident that everyone felt the same and it was nothing but pure love. They made shish kebabs as good as anyone in our family and the rest of the food was unbelievable including their homemade meatballs. If you need to have an event somewhere your search is done.

This place is in a great location right next to a golf course. My only complaint is they serve most of the craft beers and ciders in a 13oz glasses, not pints. The food and drinks are a little pricey but it was a nice bar overall

Been going here for several years after golf for the beer selection. Service is excellent especially servers Jesse and Meghan. Since the remodeling the atmosphere is much better although the music is sometimes overpowering for conversation. The past couple of weeks went for weekly lunch with friends at my suggestion. The food is a different story. The first time we sent back the main meal as it was overcooked, the replacement was also over cooked but edible. Last time the chicken tortilla soup was very good with an sufficient amount of of chicken. This time the chicken tortilla soup had no chicken, no corn, just broth, the replacement was only slightly better. The three other meals were adequate. My friends had mixed feelings about returning.

1 Under has impressed me. They have a great beer list. My husband and I love getting a flight so we can sample different beers. We have discovered many great beers here. The food is pretty good. We like the pretzels and wings. Everything is good. They have a great patio and it's huge. It is heated in winter so if you are looking for a place to hang out in the winter, the patio is a great place. They rarely have a wait and it has been our go to place lately.

1 Under has quickly become our go to destination to watch our beloved Lions. Fabulous food, the best craft beer list I've found anywhere, fantastic service and a fun atmosphere make for a great experience. We are working our way through the menu but everything we've tried so far has been excellent. The meatlovers pizza is wonderful with a variety of high quality toppings and a terrific crust. Margherita pizza is also great. The Birdie club is a favorite with grilled chicken, ham, Swiss, applewood smoked bacon, pesto Mayo and a perfect brioche bun. My son proclaimed their Mac and cheese (with a four cheese blend and topped with applewood bacon) the best he's ever had. The chicken shawarma and curry chicken tacos are tasty and a nice option if you're looking for something filling but on the lighter side. We haven't tried the burgers, "award winning" wings and salads yet but other patrons were certainly enjoying them. You can tell that the kitchen takes great pride in the food they're putting out and everything has been super fresh with generous portions. And that craft beer list! Absolutely amazing. For starters, 9 brews on tap from my favorite 3 Floyd's. Yes please! Lots of TVs and NFL red zone. They also have lots of outdoor seating and a fantastic banquet room which appears to be very popular. Five solid stars for this gem!!

Dig if you will a picture of me wanting KBS 2017 You know what I've searched all over and now I finally found this... I know, it is very basic to want KBS at this point in the craft beer revolution. What's next? Celebrating Oberon? Drinking Sam Adams? I don't care. I do what I want. This is my favorite beer and I will hunt it every year for draft versions. But I digress... This place was such a pleasant surprise when i first discovered it. I didn't expect anything more Bud Lites and mozzerella sticks. While they have both, they do have a nice upgrade over typical bar foods and their craft beer choices are fantastic. One of the reasons I'm happy to drive 45 minutes for a 6 oz beer. Great, fun atmosphere, friendly bartenders, and pretty good food for a bar, what more do you need?

Went there for the night before Thanksgiving, ordered 3 beers tops and one mixed drink. The following morning i look at my bank account and there is an $80 charge? These guys are literally stealing their customers money. I will not be returning

I'd like to rate more than 3 but definitely not a 4. Kudos for all the immense beers on tap. The atmosphere is a little cave like with the cave like ceilings. OK so go with that. Instead a little pretentious with to small enough menu. Food was horrible. But I was just one guy one visit and I will be back. But myself because there is not enough on the menu for most.

1 Under has an excellent selection of craft beers. My friends and I have sat at the bar during our visits and gotten great service. The bartender has been really cool about letting us taste a sample of beer to see if we like it, too. On the food side, we've split a few things including their pretzel sticks and meat lover's pizza. The pizza was excellent, where I'd skip the soft pretzels next time. Food is pretty expensive, with nothing on the menu under $7. if you like craft beer, you've definitely got to stop in on a Wednesday after 8pm. You'll find brews from Founders, B. Nektar, Short's, Wolverine, Alaskan, Dogfish Head, Jolly Pumpkin, Great Lakes, New Belgium and more. Whether I'd stop here outside of happy hour remains to be seen, but until that day, I'll definitely keep rolling in after 8pm on Wednesdays to take advantage of their friendly service and awesome prices.

This place is great! Lots of good local Beers, good service and food. We had the pretzel that was awesome and then ordered the French dip sandwich and the margarita pizza. The French dip was awesome The pizza was ok. We weren't crazy about it. Otherwise great place to eat drink hangout. Lots of tvs which was ideal for basketball and football.

Pros: 1) great selection of craft beers. This isn't as exciting now, with so many places having jumped on the craft beer band wagon; however, their list rarely includes items they've run out of 2) practically stumbling distance from our house 3) live music. We caught Square Pegs, an 80s cover band, this past Friday. $5 cover, cash only Cons: 1) they get busy. Busy! Crowd ranges from puffed up young loud DBs to golfers to 60yo ladies 2) we have yet to find a food item we crave enough to eat it again. 3) pricy. Their sampler paddle is $8 for you choose 4 ($2 per 5oz pour is not expensive, especially as they don't exclude the higher ABV beers) but all other drinks are, to me, too pricy. A-OK

I still enjoy the beer selection and location. Just a word to the wise though, don't try using any Entertainment coupons from AARP there. The owner claims to know nothing about them and will accuse you of faking them.

A good local spot. I would go here for the guac and chips alone. The steak bites were meh. The list of beers were good, according to my husband. That's his specialty. I had a mule and it was tasty. Our server, Rachel, I think? She was friendly and efficient.

My wife and I went to One Under on Friday, 2/15. Everything was fine that night. Food and drinks were ok. Riley, our server, was ok until the end. The issue was with my credit card the next day. I had taken a copy of my bill with the tip amount when we left. When I checked my credit card statement the next morning, there was more money added then what I authorized. Since I am a restaurant manager, I know that sometimes a tip gets entered in wrong and needs to be adjusted and will take a couple of days as a pending transaction before posting correctly. This was not one of those times. So on Tuesday 2/19, I called and spoke with the banquet manager, Bree about my situation. She offered to either mail me the money that was added to my bill or have it ready for me to come and pick up. I asked if she could have it added back onto my credit card. She said that she had to check with the owner and let me know. She called me back 5-10 minutes later to say that the owner was gone for the day but she would see him first thing the next morning, tell him what happened and he would call me to get it all fixed. Wednesday came and went and no call from anyone. Now today, 2/21, I called twice. The first time no one answered, and the second, a young lady answered and said that no managers or owners were in yet. Bree called and left me a message saying "that they use a small system so they couldn't put the money back on my card." She continued to say that they could mail or I could pick it up. As I said, as a restaurant manager, I know that this isn't true. No one wanted to take the time to make the neccessary fix. The owner sure wasn't going to be bothered to call me. By the way this was the first time that she offered any type of apology. So now after having to make a special trip to One Under to pick up what was taken from me, a host gave me an envelope with money inside. No manager bothered to even talk to me. One would think that if a guest complained about money being taken from them by one of their employees that a greater level of concern would be shown. Nope, instead I have to be inconvenienced even more by had to go there to get was taken from me without so much as a manager/owner talking to me face to face to offer an apology. That is the last time that I will step foot in One Under again.

I'll second Kris A.'s sentiment....this place is a well kept secret, although...lunchtime here...busy busy. This was my first trip to 1 Under and I was sold on it. I didn't eat but the beer selection is prime and most importantly, they have a steel tip dart board (which is near impossible to find nowadays). Service was fantastic and there's plenty of TVs for the sports fans.

Except there is a a whole bunch of big TVs everywhere all on sports channels, and huge bar with taps everywhere, and an add on huge beer keg fridge crammed full of kegs. A great selection of craft draft beer at great prices. We had bar apps, they were great. The bartenders were friendly and knew what they were pouring. It looks like nothing from the outside, but inside it is a great beer destination. I think it has as many quality beer choices as any place in the D excepting Hopcat

First of all we have a group of friends that always go here. Last night 8 of us were going to go and One Under was gouging people for a $10.00 cover. There was nothing different that any regular weekend night other than St Pattys day. It would be busy anyway yet they try to make a few extra dollars by gouging regulars? Plus the guys at the door were D-Bags. Since my wife and I arrived first we paid the 10 dollar cover..the rest of the group arrived and said "Screw that" we are not paying 10 dollars to walk in here. So we all left and went to O~Malleys where they let our whole group in for free! One Under..you got my 20 bucks but you lost me forever as a customer!

They have a hugeeeee beer selection. Great place to go to try something new. Honestly doesn't seem like the food would be that great, but everything I've ordered here has been really good! Service can be hit or miss depending on the time of day, or if there's some type of game/event etc. it's located on a golf course so it can get busy with golfers after they're done. Good place to hangout with friends late night.

In contrast with other posts from other Yelpers, we had fantastic service. We were a party of 5 who arrived early for a Tap takeover. We had got our drinks & food very quickly. Everything was correctly done. The server was very accommodating. Portion were generous. The fish & chips was only ok. Nothing special, but the spinach & artichoke spring rolls were good, the shawarma tacos were fantastic, the chicken wings were very large a well-prepared. The beverage choices are outstanding. I wish they had more appetizer options. Great experience. We will be back.
