One40 Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

We went to this restaurant on my best friend’s birthday. I had booked in advance, and from the very beginning, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, especially by the lovely girl who served us from start to finish. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was the perfect mix of relaxed and lively—just right for a fun night out! The view was amazing; after dessert, we went out onto the terrace to admire the lights of New York. Truly incredible! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Most random mix of people at a restaurant: - college kids coming for dates or to take a million pictures - elegant people trying to have a quiet meal with their loved ones - ratchet people - and me, who just wants to eat the amazing food the chef made Our server Nika was amazing and so was the manager, Ronald. They accommodated all of our requests and showed us a good time. Every dish I got was a hit. Can't say I regretted any of them. Most 'wow' dish was the roasted hen of the woods mushroom. Espresso martini was a 10/10.

FiDi brunch spot that just gets it. Came for brunch, everything felt intentional. Food was clean, well-executed, no overthinking!!! lobster roll was fresh (perfect balance, not heavy), eggs soft + fluffy, potatoes crispy the way they should be. Portions were right, not skimpy. The space is calm, modern, lots of light + greenery polished but relaxed. Feels like a downtown spot locals actually come to, not a tourist brunch scene. Service was smooth and efficient, food came out quick, zero chaos. If you live or work downtown, this is one of those places that quietly becomes your go-to. Elegant, easy, done right.

I was thinking about giving this place 3 stars after trying the food, but the manager sealed the deal of getting 1 star. I came here with a large group of people. Since we all arrived early, we got our drinks from the bar and moved to the table when it was ready. It then took exactly 1 hour for the waitress to come over and take our order. Since we were in a large group, we expected to wait awhile for the food to come out, which is why we were annoyed it took so long to even take our order. The short rib raviolis were good, but the tagliatelle was one of the most plain pasta dishes I have ever had. It tasted like plain cream with noodles. Then there was an issue that arose in which the manager handled very poorly. He accused us of lying about an email exchange my friend had with the restaurant saying “It was a one sided conversation and it was YOU.” Well if it was a one sided conversation then why were there replies? How were we sitting at a table for 15 people at 8:00PM on a Saturday night if the email to make reservations was one sided coming from my friend? And more importantly why are you not managing your emails? It honestly would have been fine if the manager said “I’m so sorry for the wrong information you were given. We will make sure to monitor the emails more and inform our staff of policies.” But no, not even an apology. Absolutely unprofessional.

The view is extremely nice, staff was friendly and environment was great. But the review is because me and my girlfriend don’t get to do this everyday, we are from Arizona so we chose this place as our one special expensive dinner for this trip and we’re very excited and looking forward to it. We got sat by a friendly waiter, we ordered an appetizer, the short rib ravioli, which was amazing and perfect, we both also ordered 2 medium rare steaks. When the steaks came out they were extremely rare and not only that but they were cold to the touch. Now we didn’t say anything as we did not want to be rude or seem like we wanted a discount, however we never really even had the chance to say something. Not once during the entire dinner, after we ordered, did the waiter come back to ask if we were doing okay, needed anything or if the food was up to par. The restaurant was not very busy. We did eat the steak, steak tasted great but was very chewy, and as mentioned cold and undercooked. When you have people coming from another state to dine at your restaurant and spend that amount of money it’s very upsetting, especially because, as I said, we were looking forward to dressing up and coming here. None the less, I am gonna leave this place a 3 star as I don’t want to tarnish their look with a bad review but I felt like I had to say something.

This was a lovely way to end the night. Just outside of World Trade Centre. Had a nice view within looking out onto the fountains Food was top notch, service was also speedy. Not a great deal of seats. We initially had issues booking as they were only allowing a table of 4 and 2, which after contact with them directly we managed to sort this for a table of 6. But this was great

10 + stars!! What an incredible experience at 40 One! Our waitress, Nico, gave us excellent service — so friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We took hundreds of pictures from the rooftop — the view is stunning! We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to everyone.

The food was tasty but the service left a lot to be desired. Had two different waiters and neither came back to check on us after the food was on the table. We had to flag someone down twice to order drinks - and there were only 3-4 other tables, they weren’t exactly packed. Views from the terrace are amazing and the decor was very nice but the service needs improvement. My burger was delicious, and the drinks were good (if overpriced, but it’s a rooftop so expected).

One40Rooftop is such a gem. The rooftop is closed off in the winter , so it stays nice and warm, and the moment you step outside, you're greeted with a million-dollar view of New York. You can see 30 Park Place, the 9/11 Memorial, a glimpse of the river, and that iconic city skyline that feels straight out of a postcard. The atmosphere has great holiday vibes; warm, festive, and cozy without trying too hard. Caoilinn and Ronald made the experience even better. They are so warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. A beautiful spot with incredible views and wonderful service. I'll definitely be back again soon.

The host here is amazing and luckily was able to squeeze us in without a reservation! We stayed at this hotel so it was very convenient getting to eat here and check it out. You have to take the elevator to the very top of the hotel to get here. They have the restaurant itself on one side and an outdoor area on the other. We grabbed a drink at the bar and were seated afterwards. We just had dinner and drinks and everything was pretty good. My scallops were slightly overcooked but overall really good and my husband enjoyed his steak. The service was pretty slow and inattentive. A good option for enjoying great views though!

One40 is a rooftop restaurant above the Club Quarters hotel and we went for Sunday brunch. We had a reservation, but it didn't seem to be needed. Possibly because it was a rainy day. Even though the weather wasn't the best, the surrounding glass windows provided great light and views of One World Trade & lower Manhattan. Probably really nice at night as well. The Parisienne toast was the highlight for me. A French toast stuffed with ricotta, Nutella, banana and maybe something else. Top it off with a strawberry reduction. Very tasty, but would have liked to have 2 slices. They also have an outdoor section which was closed due to the rain. Might be a nice place for drinks in the future.

Had a team dinner hear and was seated in the patio area overlooking the city. The view is amazing. The cocktails were great especially my old fashion. The burrata and oysters were our appetizer and both were good, but nothing special. I had the daily special which was lobster risotto and was very good. Our waiter was great in the beginning but fell off at the end. It if wasn't for being assigned to this restaurant by my company, I would definitely have gone somewhere else.

Returned to One40 Rooftop for a nice brunch. Had the Two Organic Eggs, Smoked Scottish Salmon Tartine and the Hot and Sweet Crispy Chicken Sandwich - all solid. Our server Brandon and the rest of the staff were terrific. It was a nice sunny day, so also great views of downtown from the restaurant.

After the 911 Museum took all the emotions I had (and I don't have very many), I needed to fuel. I walked over to this rooftop, hoping it would be stellar views. It's more like a peekaboo between a bunch of buildings around it. Not great but tolerable. I loved their take on a tofu salad. Apples and walnuts; it was like I was eating a bag of kettle chips, but make it healthy. I love a great crunchy salad. If you're in the area, solid lunch choice.

Came here for dinner on vacation, short walk from Battery Park. The rooftop vibes are great, the restaurant looked really good. Service was pretty slow, like previous reviews mentioned. We had to flag someone down for the check after our server disappeared for 20+ minutes. The best dish was the duck breast, nice and moist and flavorful. My friend felt the Wagyu wasn't worth the price, but still decent. My other friend enjoyed the salmon fillet, no complaints. The seafood linguine was okay, the pasta was well cooked and the tomato sauce was subtle. The mussels were a little iffy but alright in the end.

FiDi's newest rooftop bar/restaurant really surprised me - oftentimes these places have great vibes but the food/drink is lacking...not the case here! The vibes are great, as you can expect. The menu truly has a great variety and I was pleased with the amount of vegetarian options offered. To drink, I had the Lumen (minus the absinthe spray lol) and it was very tasty (think a STRONG mojito). To eat, I tried the following: -Burrata: delicious and the pesto was fabulous -Eggplant: loved the balsamic flavor, not my favorite item of the evening but still tasty -Fettuccine: surprisingly 10/10! Pasta can be a hit or miss, but this dish had so much flavor. A great vegetarian entree. -Roasted Carrots: my favorite item of the evening, the rainbow carrots were roasted to perfect sweetness. Prices are also fairly reasonable for an upscale rooftop restaurant. Service was a bit spotty but overall I would come back!

First and foremost, I am always one to acknowledge when people work on the holidays, whether by choice or the need to. I was and am highly disappointed in what I experienced, however. While the decor, venue, and ambiance was nothing short of elegant, I was highly disappointed in the false advertising of the pre fixe Thanksgiving dinner at $85 per person. Pre fixe menus charged at per person rates means each person is to receive one appetizer each, one entree each, and one dessert each. One small salad was received which was enough to feed a small rabbit. There was no creamy buttermilk dressing as advertised. The salad was bland and unappetizing. Also, where was the 2nd salad? Just Salad and Sweetgreen give more for $16...and much tastier might I add. When I asked about the other salad, the waitress mentioned only 1 was apart of the deal and that the food was being served "family style". She further added that she inquired about the menu setup as well. She mentioned being told it was setup that way due to the venue expecting a lot of reservations and the need to feed everyone. I informed her that I was in no way upset at her but that was ridiculous. Which family was referenced when curating this pre fixe menu at $85 per person? Family style means an abundance of food to share not a single serving size...The one plate of turkey slices, brussel sprouts, carrots, stuffing, and no orange and cranberry compote as advertised still lacked the additional plate that my other guest should have had. Furthermore, the mashed potatoes were a scoop and the advertised truffle mac n cheese was again unappetizing and a scoop - it was basically truffle oil drizzled on top of American cheese mac n cheese with green speckle of some garnishment. My experience with truffle mac n cheese is pecorino, romano, gruyere...not American cheese...The dessert was 1 serving size yet again and let's just say the pumpkin cheesecake was partially frozen and unappetizing. Warm pumpkin pieces were drizzled I guess to not notice the cheesecake was partially frozen? Why didn't we leave? I was raised not to complain to those serving you food to avoid any occurrences of tampering, etc. I also embarrass easily. We were dressed in our fancy attire. I also had no other Thanksgiving Day plans as this was to be the highlight of our day. We were wrong. In all of this disappointment and just pure disgust, the check arrives (after I asked for it). Now, remember it was $85 pp pre fixe to which each serving was for 1 person, instead of 2...The bill totaled $219....for...what? I was taken aback by the snuck in Service Fee of 20% for a "large group" yet we were a table of 2. Furthermore, there was no written disclosure on the advertising of said Thanksgiving dinner that a 20% service fee would be included. I plan to start litigation in Small Claims court.

This Rooftop has it All!! The recently opened One40 Rooftop has now opened their South Terrace and when I say this is the perfect summer vibe... I am not kidding. Located on the rooftop of the Club Quarters Hotel. One40 Rooftop has sky high views of both the Hudson River and the World Trade Center, I can't think of a better way to spend my summer evening. This terrace is giving grown and sexy vibes with light bites and delicious cocktails. This will be the perfect spot if you're looking for an upscale happy hour in the Financial District. While the terrace does have a smaller menu. The interior restaurant provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and a weekend brunch. I was able to try a few of their bites and everything was phenomenal.. including a few items I didn't think I would like. The main restaurant also showcases floor to ceiling windows, gorgeous decor and the same amazing views making this the perfect birthday, anniversary or celebration spot. Reservations can be made through Resy. I came here last night with my boyfriend and I had such a great experience. The view was just stunning and we came at sunset hour which made it perfect. The food was also delicious and very filling - we got a combination of a bunch of plates. The eggplant was delicious I would definitely recommend as well as the beet salad. For our mains we got the duck and wagu and both were great (you can't go wrong with either). The service was also really good - everything got out in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend for a date night or nice dinner out!

Drinks were amazing treats. I was out celebrating the last days of my birth month with my family. This was a nice location to enjoy.

I was really excited for the rooftop view during a nice swanky dinner, but the view and other experiences were a bit of a disappointment. First off, unless you sit in the back room, you don't have much of a view. Even then that room is fully enclosed but there are windows all around. To get a better view or take some cute photos, you can go out on the small balcony but the city view is just ok. We had a 7pm reservation and ordered drinks and a charcuterie board to start. For $38 the board was honestly quite small. There were like 3 crisps, 5 grapes, 1 whole raw carrot, jam but nothing to really put it on, and a few pieces of meat and cheese. It looks like it should be for 1 person so if you have a group, it would be hard to share that. Once our appetizer arrived, we immediately ordered our entrees. I wish I were kidding but our food took over an hour to arrive. Our waitress randomly popped in to ask if "everything was ok" seeing that we had nothing to eat. We really tried to be patient since there was a large group celebrating a birthday and being obnoxiously loud in the back room, but at about 40 minutes we asked how much longer it was going to take. The waitress came back and said it would be about 5-10 more minutes. At the hour mark we asked again, reminder her that it was past the 5-10 minutes and she said it shouldn't be more longer. We noticed that another table with kids that came in at the same time as us had left but never got any food either. Just drinks and appetizers. My guess is they got tired of waiting. Once the food finely arrived we were starving so I only managed to get a picture of my dish, which was the Linguine $29. We also ordered the Mediterranean Chicken and the Grilled Branzino. The entrees do not not come with and sides so we added asparagus for $19. Overpriced for sure but nobody wants to eat just plain chicken. Overall the food wasn't bad but portions were definitely on the smaller side. Don't plan on sharing. After our first bite, the manager casually walked by and asked if everything was going ok. We said yes, but he sensed the hesitation so we gave him the more honest answer which was that we were just happy to finally have food, since it took over an hour. He apologized and said "I should have been told about that." As a gesture to make the experience better, he did send over 1 small portion bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream. There were 3 of us, so again not exactly shareable but a kind gesture nonetheless. I would possibly give it another try for happy hour or lunch, but definitely not for dinner or if you're really hungry and expecting to leave satiated after paying over $250. We actually hit up a taco spot on the way back to our hotel.

Absolutely wonderful. Food was EXCELLENT!!! Please try the truffle fries! I liked them so much I ordered them again lol. Our server was so sweet and the views are incredible!

ONE40 Rooftop is a rooftop restaurant at the Club Quarters/WTC that offers various menus in FiDi - They have a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, including handcrafted cocktails. We came here for an early dinner, and we started off with their Osetra Caviar (with blini, crema, egg, crispy shallots, and chives) and the Trio of Crostini (one with rosemary and roasted garlic cannellini bean puree; one with sheep's milk ricotta, truffle honey, and black mission fig; and, one with marinated heirloom cherry tomatoes, shallot, and basil). For the mains, we tried both the Linguine (with shrimp, clams, and mussels in a mare chiaro sauce) and the Fettuccine (prepared with zucchini, cherry tomatoes, basil, calabrian chili, and a creamy lemon sauce). A big plus was the great views; just note that it's pretty dark inside with limited lighting. Service was friendly. I visited One40 Rooftop Bar on Friday, November 3rd, with a 6:30 PM reservation for three. I arrived on time and was given the option to be seated or wait for the rest of my party -- I chose to be seated and ordered the St. Germain Spritz (highly recommend -- it was delicious!). The second person in my party arrived at 7:00 PM; she ordered a drink and I ordered another. Around 7:25 PM, the floor manager, a tall man with dreads, came to our table, introduced himself, and instead of asking how we were doing, asked when the third person in our party would arrive because they "had a lot of reservations." He even clapped his hands together to emphasize his point. It felt abrupt and unnecessary. I checked online to see if there was a time limit on tables -- there wasn't. Our third guest arrived at 7:35 PM, and although the floor manager continued to check on other tables and bring drinks to guests, he never returned to ours. No other table seemed to receive the same kind of interaction, and for context, the restaurant was never full the entire time we were there. Another floor manager came by later and was much more pleasant. Our server Nekka was excellent -- attentive, kind, and spot-on with his dessert recommendations. We ended up staying until 10:00 PM, enjoying great food, drinks, and conversation. The restaurant itself is stunning -- beautiful decor, warm lighting, and incredible terrace views of the city. I'd still recommend visiting for the ambiance and service from staff like Nekka, but I hope management reinforces consistent hospitality across all guests.

A girls night out, dinner @ One40 Rooftop. Ambiance, views, a social vibe, warm & romantic. I suggest for a male/female relationship date night out. Parking was a few blocks away @ $48 for 2 hrs. It's NY! Restaurant service was impeccable, excellent, attentive, fast & pleasant. The food was average, Wagyu steak tough [med. well], and very small portions for the price. The staff handled my complaint efficiently, "thank you". Grateful, my visiting guests enjoyed their meals; duck, prawns, & aegean chicken. Drinks were wonderfully prepared. Dessert was my absolute favorite. Next time I will go for lunch. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience, maybe twice. Enjoy!

The World's Smallest Martini. Thus far, I'm underwhelmed. Hopefully dinner will be better.!

Our server Brandon was outstanding. He was very cordial and professional. For lunch we had the beet salad, steak burger and branzino and we highly recommend them. The quality of ingredients, presentation and flavors were all excellent. There is a spectacular view of the WTC complex. We loved the ambience. The vibe of the restaurant is chic, warm and not intimidating. We will definitely return.

Great ambiance with beautiful views of One World Trade Center. The food and service was a bit clunky and underwhelming for the price. I ordered the shakshuka which was seasoned well but poorly executed; the eggs weren't fully set, consistency was a bit soupy, and they didn't think to give me a spoon with it. Also ordered the biscuit which came with cold butter but no butter knife, so I had to ask for that too.

Service was impeccable. Beautiful restaurant with views of skyscrapers including the Freedom Tower. The food was delicious and not too expensive. We made it before 6:00 so we were able to order from the Happy Hour menu as well.

So pretty the place is in a beautiful spot but what the hell are the prices for such bad food? Like this charcuterie board was almost 40 dollars and it came with rice crackers???? The worst cheese in the world like wtf why is there blocks of cheese from 7/11 on this board with the most mediocre grapes and meat and just a plop of mustard litteraly don't get it the tuna tar tar I had also just tasted like guac from Chipotle and the avacado were hard and came w maybe 3 chips on the side 4 if you looked hard enough

one40 rooftop gorgeous views, chill ambiance, and amazing food and drinks. Everything we tried was full of flavor and super well done. The cocktails were creative and delicious, and the service was top-notch--friendly, fast, and super professional. Perfect for a date night or a hangout with friends. Definitely a place you'll want to come Back to.

AMAZING! We came for the view. We will be returning for the incredible food and impeccable service. Nika attended and anticipated our every need. The Lobster was one of the best dishes I have ever had. If you are in NYC, GO!!!!!! (And ask for Nika!) Not many evenings are perfect. This one was. Absolutely the BEST dining experience we have ever had in NYC.

Gorgeous view, but unfortunately the food and service didn't live up to it. We had our starters, but no one ever came back to check on us despite it being a quiet time. We were ready to order mains, but our server seemed uninterested and spent more time chatting at other tables. We eventually left, very disappointed.

AMAZING service!! Our server, Niko, was by far the most generous server i've ever experienced in my entire life. The food was delicious and unique, the views were amazing. One seating area of the restaurant faces one of the Twin Towers. So good and 100% worth a visit!

My husband and I went to One40 Rooftop for dinner and couldn't decided what to get. Our waiter Nika A recommended Braised lamb shank with polenta which was out of the world!! We also shared the Mediterranean chicken, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus that was amazing!!!! Then for desert Nika recommended the Gateau Basque which was an amazing cheesecake with strawberries! We highly recommend the braised lamb shank with polenta!!!

I usually stay at Club Quarters when in the big apple for business. I was pleasantly surprised by the new restaurant on the rooftop of Club Qtr at the World Trade Center. Great food, libations and view. Chris was an outstanding waiter. Kudos to the new chef!

Amazing place to visit!!! Food was delicious a little slow but it was busy and we were relaxed and didn't need fast service!

First time dining at ONE40. We will be back. Pros and Cons. Food was perfectly prepared and presented. The view cannot get any better. We could not have experienced a better manager than Bjorn in any dining experience. He was very attentive to ALL guests....making sure everything was good. The CONS:. Our server was horrible!! Where can I start. After finishing our "beverages", it was at least 15 mins before I had to ask for another glass of wine for my wife....and still it took 15 for it to arrive...and we were never asked if we needed another drink. After enjoying out delicious starters, when our entrees came out, there were crumbs left on the table and when he swept them off he left some morsels in eyesight..... Then I paid the bill, I pressed the button "print receipt"....I Never received it.... When we ordered the chocolate mousse dessert I specifically said to him my wife and I will SHARE it...and ordered a coffee. So out came the dessert on ONE plate with no additional plates for sharing....and I had to "ask" him about my coffee....and he said he forgot....!!!!! He just seemed to stand in the middle of the dining area, along with a new gentleman being "trained"....and very rarely came over.... Knowing it was a very special occasion, wife's birthday....there was never any acknowledgment along the way. It was Bjorn who had apologetically came over at the end of our dinner and presented my wife with a glass of Champagne...and he also furnished me with my receipt... All this being said...I will repeat that my wife and I will be back!!! And hopefully we will not get the same server. The place and atmosphere is simply just too good to pass up. And once again thank you Bjorn for making this a pleasurable experience over all..with the previous exception, of course

Don't let the lobby and elevators deceive you. The food was amazing. Must try the hen of the woods mushroom, branzino and steak! Cocktails were also really good. Very reasonably priced as well.

Terrible experience from start to finish. We had a confirmed reservation via Resy, yet ended up waiting over an hour to be seated--while the restaurant was practically empty. During the wait, we tried to order from the bar, but more than half the drinks weren't available, and even simple requests were turned down with no explanation. To add to the confusion, the manager came to us three different times saying our table was "being prepared," but it became clear that wasn't the case. At first, we were told they couldn't find our reservation due to a "system issue," only for the same manager to later admit it was there all along. There was no courtesy offered, no sense of urgency, and absolutely no accountability. I rarely write reviews, but this was a standout example of poor service. Would not recommend.

very rude and very pricey came as a large party and had a tax of 117 dollars and expected and tip of another 100 dollars challenged the manager and was sarcastic and rude would not recommend

This place was amazing! The staff were so nice, and the food was incredible (I got the fettuccini)! It was gorgeous as well, and was a great place to enjoy dinner while seeing the view of the city.

Service/ portion of food. Celebrated a birthday and it wasn't even acknowledged. Not a welcoming server very condescending. The food was average the portion very small. Won't be back. The place is beautiful and ambience is nice.

Went here for a breakfast meeting. Only opened 2 weeks ago but food was great and service was very quick. Great views of the World Trade Center and a nice space.
