June 2025 OneTaco is one of my favorite taco restaurants in Austin and just seeing it I had to stop. This was my first time at this location and the Mexican vibe here was strong. There is outdoor seating, a shrine for Austin FC, and apparel for sale. My normal OneTaco location is downtown but even in the suburbs you still need a code to use the restroom. I ordered the Bandera which contained grilled chicken, avocado, pico de Gallo, and wrapped in a fresh corn tortilla. The taco was freshly made and tasted just wonderful. The chicken had great flavor and the rest of the ingredients worked very well together. It was delicious. The kitchen is hidden here so not sure if they cut meat from a 'trompo', but they do have a drive-thru.

Google
Very clean place to get your taco fix. Employees are very nice and the atmosphere is authentic. Loved the Al Pastor taco and Mexican street corn. We always get nachos at Austin FC games from OneTaco but now I wish I would have stopped here for lunch sooner.

Google
I stopped by for two pork street tacos. Absolutely delicious and VERY affordable. Service is super fast. I was in and out in 15 mins. This is also one of my go to "Taco Tuesday" venues. Update: I just ate 2 "Gringas". They are regular street tacos x 2 delicious! It is a street taco on a flour tortilla with a slice of grilled crispy, chewy cheese. So...good!!!

Google
As a Mexican guy who has had 100% authentic street tacos from Mexico city ... These are pretty close. Like 90% there. The tacos de asada were surprisingly good since the meat was tender and flavorful. The tacos al pastor are hard to find with pineapple on them but they had it and they were great. The nachos were also good but the meat quantity was lacking. The barbacoa unfortunately was dry and our least favorite. We had their flan which is the "Mesocano" brand which I am sure is not theirs but they are delicious, I highly recommend them. Aguas frescas were refreshing. Solid 6.9 score.

Google
Nothing but good things to say! This taco place was affordable & absolutely delicious! I had the salad with added chicken for under $10! It was flavorful and satisfying. The rest of the group of 10 had various tacos & everyone gave a two thumbs up. I would recommend this restaurant & will come back again. Counter service was really helpful for our group orders.

Google
I’ve been to a few times to OneTaco @ Anderson Mill and enjoy the pastor tacos. I also like the quesadillas. They don’t have eggs in the evening, apparently, which was a bit frustrating for some picky kids, but now I know. Still great tacos.

Jeremy R.

Google
This location has the worst tacos. They are always super small and way overpriced. Also anytime I order from Uber eats I am always missing items. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location at all costs.

Google
I see why they call it OneTaco. If you order two, it will be so bad that you throw the second one away. My Taco was burnt, strange, and not tasty. Really perplexed how such expensive tacos that taste this bad have not managed to shut down the business. Can’t expect this place to last very long.

Yelp
Grabbed myself a breakfast taco and despite being very delicious it was incredibly small. The service was very quick and I would probably return if I was in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Fiest time here. Ordered via Drive thru, super fast and friendly! Horchata was delicious! I ordered 2 tacos, one beef and one chicken. Both were flavorful. I really liked the green and red hot sauce. I look forward to returning

Yelp
my husband and I have been going to one taco for the past eight years. It's one of our favorite places. however, today our experience was different. They have changed some recipes. The carne asada and gringa have changed - not nearly as good - and the queso was terrible - I asked and they did change the recipe to the queso (assume all of it) and I just want to let ownership know that it is not good!!!

Karissa E.

Yelp
I had a birria taco and a pastor quesadilla taco. The birria is dry and the lime they gave me was dry. The pastor doesn't even taste like pork. It tastes and looks like chicken. Not worth it.

Yelp
This establishment is clean and the workers are super nice. The reason jm giving them 2 stars only because we tried 6 tacos and one was dryer and colder than the one before. We ordered the following: Street asada taco - dry meat & cold Street polo taco - dry meat & cold Barbacoa - Dry meat & cold taco Norte taco - flavorless meat & cold Bandera - dry chicken & cold We have tried so many tacos spot and some have not been that great but this is by far the worse we have ever had.

Yelp
I love Onetaco and have tried multiple locations. This was my first time trying this one, could be a one-time thing.... But the tacos were bad. Meat seemed super dry and old. Wont likely be back here
google avatar

Joe K.

Yelp
I ordered 15 tacos. 5 Bacon egg and cheese, 5 chorizo egg and cheese, and 5 potato egg and cheese for the house. I loved them all. But preferred the chorizo taco. I LOVE the red sauce. The verde was okay. I love OneTaco.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Dishes I ordered were nut allergy friendly. Review is for order via Postmates when they had a buy one get one free on some specific tacos. Out of our order, I ate two Tacos Al Pastor, one Taco Pollo Asado, and one Agua Fresca Horchata. Service wise, they forgot our chips and queso from the delivery. The Tacos Al Pastor were dry, but the pineapple added good flavor and texture. I enjoyed these with the green sauce and lime. The Pollo Asado tasted like day old chicken - dry and flavorless. I wouldn't order it again. I had to put extra sauce on it to get any sort of flavor. The Horchata was quite sweet and a good way to clean my palette. Overall a mediocre taco experience that wasn't anything unique. I've gotten better and cheaper tacos from unnamed trucks.

Yelp
This place has a wonderful atmosphere... it is refreshing to go someplace that takes you away from the usual American vibe... Simple decor, outdoor space for kids, delicious margaritas and yummy food.
google avatar

Destini W.

Yelp
Local taco cabana vibes. The nachos are the only thing worth getting. It's also a bit overpriced, for the portion size.

Yelp
TLDR: It's meh, pales in comparison to other outlets of this chain. I'm a OneTaco fan, and I love their other locations. This one, not so much. Which is surprising given that it's very clean, plenty of parking, lots of natural light coming in the windows, and a Mexican wrestling theme to boot! Tried two staples of this chain, the Taco Bandera and the Carne Asada. Both took a long time to come out (and we were literally the only people there) and both were underwhelming. The Bandera was bland, and the Carne Asada was lukewarm! How long did they let this sit out? Overall, it was kinda meh...not what I'm used to getting here. I might try it again sometime to see if this was a fluke, but again we were the only people there and the ladies behind the counter seemed more interested in whatever drama they were talking about than making food. This place scores a 2 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Yelp
Forewarning, I am a bit of a taco snob. With that said my favorite part of the actual taco was the corn tortilla. One bite in & you almost instantly taste an unmistakable home made corn tortilla. The carne asada meat was okay but not memorable. The hottest salsa which was the lighter green taquero salsa was labeled "hot" but I'd say more on the mild side and was tasty. The restaurant itself was clean, lively with good Spanish music in the background, tables were spread out nicely, and lots of natural light coming in through all the windows. They had a good selection of Mexican beers and evidently margaritas as well. I think this is a proper taco restaurant to dine at and judge for yourself.

Yelp
I love one taco and I am so excited that they've taken up residence in what used to be the Taco shack. Their service is always friendly and excellent, delicious tacos and sides. I saw people Dining inside and outdoors on the patio and they even have a drive through they're using which we love so much to get in and out! Can't wait to eat all the tacos in my neighborhood with them being around more often! Happy for their opening and presence and hope they enjoy their new start in Anderson Mill, since their Anderson lane and Research locations are solid. With covid, I'm so glad they are still growing in the middle of the pandemic and I know their presence here will stay strong. After all their taco game is the best, dare I say, even better than some near by competitors (cough, Torchy's, cough) :)

Yelp
Just Say No! If there were "NO Stars" this place would get that. This is the 2nd time I've tried this place. I wanted a breakfast taco but instead ordered the Nachos, I did not see any BTacos. The lady asked us to let her know when we were ready to order and my husband kept saying "hello"? "hello? yeah it was so comical because it was ridiculous. NO customers were inside & we were the only ones in the drive-thru. Finally when she came on took the order we sat in front of her window for over 6 minutes, finally she opened her window & took the payment card and gave us our cold food & forgot the coke.? It was really weird. The attitude of this women when her food & service was below standards & totally sucks!!!??There are a lot of other Fast Food places around them that are friendlier and BETTER Food. My stomach hurts, I would like to throw up this food and start my lunch over. I couldn't eat much of the gauc. because it was already turned brown. You can see in the photo.

Yelp
My first time trying One Taco won't be my last. My boyfriend and I ordered the I Bacon breakfast taco which had scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheese and more bacon. It comes on a flour tortilla or you can request a corn tortilla. We added beans to our tacos. It was a FAT taco full of yumminess! I hate skimpy breakfast tacos but don't order breakfast burritos because they are too much. After ONE bite, I was hooked. It tasted like the breakfast taco my Momma makes and she is an authentic Mexican pro! We asked for red and green salsa and both were good. We ordered at the drive through so no comment on the interior but the cashier at the window was helpful and gave us extra napkins and salsa without us having to ask. The times I do have to eat in my car, extra napkins are appreciated. Will definitely return to One Taco and order more than one taco! 4/11/2021

Yelp
The tacos are simple and outstanding. On the weekends you can get Barbacoa tacos which are perfect. The Buenos dia taco with chorizo, egg, cheese, and black bean is fantastic. Add a little avocado for a truly outstanding taco. The jefe taco is also perfect. The menu is only a few tacos but the quality and attention to detail is spot on. Prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly and cool.
google avatar

Yelp
Good quick tacos Nothing super special but good all the same Friendly waitstaff Clean Would go back as was a good place for a good/ quick couple of tacos
google avatar

JJ P.

Yelp
Love their tacos but the salsa is not good! Here's a pic of this "salsa" not sure they gave me the right salsa. It was bitter all vinegar and bland. Want my $7 back.
google avatar

Bobby H.

Yelp
I used to really love One Taco. It's still good but it's gotten so expensive and the portions don't reflect the jump in price. Breakfast tacos are still affordable, but overall, they're too expensive for what you're getting.
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
I ordered food from here and was very disappointed. I don't give bad reviews often but this has to be said. The avocado on my taco was old and brown. The cheese quesadillas were salty, burnt cheese, greasy, and inedible. The plain chicken taco was just that...a plain chicken taco. It was ok. Honestly even Taco Bell is WAY better than this...that says a lot... The elote was actually good. The corn was roasted nicely and they put just enough cream and cheese.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Looks are deceiving. Some of the saddest carne asada this earth has ever seen. The pork looks good but lacks depth. Tortillas are aight Red hot sauce and queso are legit
google avatar

Chris Y.

Yelp
Decent food, BUT THE DRIVE TRU IS ONE OF THE WORST !!!! While waiting in line for about 20 minutes to just order my food, I had seed about 6 cars pull out of the line because it took forever. Once to the ordering speaker box I waited another 5 min for them to take the order and then another 10 to get my food at the window. I ASK YOU, ARE YOU OK WITH WAISTING 35 MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE IN A DRIVE TRU LINE FOR AVERAGE BREAKFAST TACOS ??????

Yelp
Third and probably last time at this location. We really needed a new taco place on this street. I was so excited to see One Taco go in b/c the one on Anderson is great! The food is cold and I'm not talking about the aqua frescos. Cold tacos Cold queso I went home and put everything in the oven. Last time I went the eggs were cold. Nothing is worse than cold eggs except semi-raw cold eggs. I don't know. Maybe it was a fluke. Maybe 1 more time. The locations is perfect. Prices are great. The folks that work there are nice. But cold tacos. I'm not even sure the salsa is cold. I'll let ya know. They do have margaritas and cerveza here. I'm not sure about the temp on those but they are on the drive through menu. I didn't ask if you can get them to go but I think you can since the Gov. updated the rules.

Brock H.

Yelp
This place is straight fire , after a long shift at work and coming to this place to get food is the best , the tacos are very good and the prices are pretty cheap I would say , The service is very fast , the longest I had to wait was maybe 5 mins top , their queso is very good , probably in my top three , but this place is definitely a 5 star place , I will keep coming and coming because I'm very satisfied with OneTaco!
google avatar

Cecilia C.

Yelp
The tacos are pretty authentic and had a good flavor, highly recommend the taquiza. The Mexican street corn is also pretty tasty although I was hoping it would be the authentic white corn. The Margarita had a generous amount of alcohol, more than I was expecting. Overall highly recommend, and I'm Mexican so I know what I'm taking about when it comes to these things.
google avatar

Connor A.

Yelp
Look, their breakfast tacos are great and are worth getting if you're up that early. However, this place is pretty pricey for what you get. The cup of street corn does come with grilled corn, but the flavor isn't really there. The aguas frescas taste like they're powdered and for a third the price, I can get 3x as much from the gas station down the street. The mini tacos need some love. They come on mini corn tortillas, but the meats aren't that great. I wish they'd put some char on the pastor and steak. Make sure to ask for extra salsa because they don't give you enough otherwise. They have a green and a red. The red is like a red chili sauce. I would definitely recommend getting the single tacos like the gringa or campechana. They grill the cheese and top your taco with it. The flour tortillas have a wonderful chew to them, but the corn were lifeless and falling apart most of the time. Overall, I would swing by here if it was breakfast time, but there are cheaper and tastier options around town for good tacos.
google avatar

Samantha W.

Yelp
The food was really good. I recommend you guys try the chicken tacos with the chipotle salsa. The tacos de alpastor were really good as well. All you need is one taco and a agua de Jamaica. And you can get full. The service was good too, when I went it was not busy at all. It's a little pricy $$$ but definitely worth it.
google avatar

Breanna M.

Yelp
So good. Pastor and carne asada Pricey but worth it Not everyplace makes good pastor! Deff recommend
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
I had a Migas breakfast taco here on 02/25/23 and I believe it was the worst I've had in years. No flavor at all. Nothing to it for nearly $5. A big waste of money. I will not be back.

Aaron M.

Yelp
Every taco I've had here is amazingly flavorful. I've been to a lot of taco places in Austin and this is one of my favorites. I love getting the pollo asado and carne asada. They're simply put together with fried cheese all packed in a homemade tortilla. I can't believe how people are rating this place so low and comparing it with Taco Bell!!! I would ignore those comments and and if you've never been to OneTaco go and try it yourself because you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Monica P.

Yelp
Staff: 5 stars Staff members are very sweet, hospitable people. No complaints here. Food: 3 stars We ordered the horchata, carne asada, al pastor and de pollo asado. The meat was a little over cooked and dry for the tacos we ordered. Not the best tacos, but they're ok. The horchata slaps though it is a bit on the watery side, but that just might be me not know what horchata "should" taste like. Venue: 5 stars A humble abode. Clean, spacious, and well lit. Kind of a warehouse vibe. Drive through is tiny but it's fine. Would I come back? Maybe not- I think I prefer their other locations

Chelsea W.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Employees were very friendly. Drive thru took longer than other places but well worth the wait!
google avatar

Donna N.

Yelp
Ordered a Jefe, an Al Pastor and a Gringo... Reasonable size. Really bland meat. Almost like they just color the protein and nothing else. The Jefe was interesting that it has fried egg and chopped steak. Again, not much taste. The salsa was just average. High price point https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g30196-d4814495-r818867409-One_Taco-Austin_Texas.html#

Patrick L.

Yelp
Stopped in for some breakfast tacos. I was on my way in just a couple minutes and the two "el jefe" tacos were delicious. I'll be back! Fried egg, refried beans, steak and onions. Good stuff

Sabbir T.

Yelp
Love one taco but this location has terrible customer service. Got to drive thru with no one in. Waited about two minutes no response. Turned my radio up so maybe they'd hear it. Said hello 3 times, finally some one says one moment please. Patiently waited.. took 5 more minutes before my order was taken. This isn't the first time ive had bad service here either.

Andrea G.

Yelp
The food is usually good but this time it was bad. The asada was not cooked all the way, the meat looked very gray and when I took a bite it was pink inside. I sent it back and they made me new tacos but they still weren't good. The service was fine, but it was really hot inside. Like uncomfortably hot. There wasn't much people so I don't know why they rushed the tacos, very disappointed.
google avatar

Tpa B.

Yelp
Overpriced tacos. Not worth the hype. Spent $10 on two subpar tacos, I could have bought a medium pizza for that amount.
google avatar

Valerie R.

Yelp
First time here and I gotta say the flavor was okay. Got al pastor tacos it was dry and hard and I was disappointed by the Customer service the girls we're on their phones didn't welcome or say anything once leaving they just stared.
google avatar

Chase W.

Yelp
Big disappointment here compared to the original location. Came inside at lunch with no one ahead of me. It took 30 minutes to get my food and it was prepared incorrectly. Literally sat there while they served everyone in the drive though line and then people who came in after me.
google avatar

Meghan B.

Yelp
I ordered the taquiza (5 small taquitos) and the asada was just flavorless. It tasted like it was just barely salted steak. Also, the limonada tasted moldy for some reason.
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
I have no idea how this place was featured on the diners and drive in tv show. I couldn't even finish my two tacos because they were so dry. Hardly any flavor and no sauces on either of them. Not impressed at all. I'd honestly be happier eating at Taco Bell. At least I gave it a try...

S. M.

Yelp
We just had One Taco cater for our large party. We ordered family style for 50 people and worked with Maria. She was great and so easy to work with, and she made sure we had everything we needed. Our food was ready to go right on time, everything was clearly labeled and exactly what we asked for. The food tasted great too, and we had a ton of compliments. We did get sides elsewhere (rice, beans, and queso) but that wasn't an issue for us. I would definitely order from here again to cater a group.
google avatar

Robbie A.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. I had their mini tacos on corn with carne asada. It was disappointing. The meat was dry, as was the tortilla. There really was nothing to the dish. Go across the street to taqueria guadalajara and have their 5 mini taco plate with carne asada instead.
google avatar

Caterria A.

Yelp
Love this place. Glad they are finally open! I've been twice this week so far. I have to try everything on the menu lol.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Excellent food reasonable price , friendly staff very clean restaurant, Amazing taco.

Eric Y.

Yelp
Sure did look tasty..... would have loved to given this place a great rating. But they left me sitting at the window after I placed my order, for quite a while with nobody to take a payment or even acknowledge I was there.... a good 10 minutes. Sure didn't look all that busy. I was the only one in the drive through. Pretty poor customer service.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Finally! A drive through where I can get a margarita and queso other than taco cabana! Queso was great. Enjoyed my rita. They only had margs on the rocks; I hope next time they have them frozen! Then they'll never get rid of me.
