OneTaco Taquería at Frost Tower is a great spot for quick, flavorful tacos in a downtown setting. The tacos were fresh, well-balanced, and packed with flavor, with proteins cooked just right and toppings that didn’t overpower the tortilla. Portions were satisfying for the price, and everything came out fast despite the steady flow of customers.

Another day in Austin, another taco spot—this time at One Taco. Solid street tacos at an excellent price point. I ordered four: Sirloin (Carne Asada) – $2.95 Pastor – $2.75 Birria – $2.75 Barbacoa – $2.75 Total with tax: $12.12 (They take cash, which is a nice bonus) While these weren’t the absolute best tacos I’ve had in Austin, they were still very good. And at this price, it’s hard to complain. Each taco came on two corn tortillas with your choice of onions and cilantro, and there was a solid salsa selection available on the side. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, which always adds to the experience. If you’re looking for quality tacos without spending much, One Taco is definitely worth a stop!

Warm and friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Ordered birria tacos with consommé and an al pastor taco. The flavors are authentic, the consommé rich, and the al pastor is the real deal - pineapple and all! Thirst quenched with a jamaica.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed Mexican customers coming in one after another, which immediately made me think, “This place has to be legit.” On top of that, when ordering, I was told the food would take a little time to prepare—clear proof that nothing is pre-made and everything is cooked fresh. That alone raised my expectations. Those expectations were fully met. The quality of both the vegetables and the meat is excellent, and the way the meat is grilled is especially impressive. The balance between smoky flavor and juiciness is spot-on, and when combined with the sauce, everything comes together beautifully. This isn’t just a taco with ingredients piled on—it feels like a well-thought-out chemistry of flavors. Considering the price, the value is outstanding. Among all the tacos I’ve had in Austin, this one easily ranks at the top, and personally, it was the best taco experience I’ve had there. I completely understand why locals keep coming back.

Somewhere in the chaos of downtown Austin you can find OneTaco - Frost Tower. One of many locations, this spot is conveniently located on the ground floor right next to a parking garage. The atmosphere was decent, a taco joint with self serve salsa and a few seats towards the back. Service was friendly and the food came out quick too. We tried a few tacos and cheese quesadillas so we had a diverse spread. As far as tacos go, it’s hard to make bad tacos and these were about as middle of the road as they come. We were very excited for the birria taco and it fell very flat, the corn tortillas don’t taste too fresh and the consome was pretty bland. The al pastor taco was okay, not a huge fan of pineapple on it but we can’t dock points for something we could easily choose to remove. The best taco by far was the carne asada, it was juicy and full of flavor, all around delicious. They offer two vegetarian taco options which was helpful since on of our friends is vegetarian and they really liked them curing their flavorfulness. Our cheese quesadillas were okay, again hard to mess up cheese and bread. The flour tortillas definitely taste better than the corn here, which is something we don’t come across often. The final verdict is that OneTaco is a middle of the road taco joint that is a great option for anyone finishing off a night on 6th to head on over to.

I had the pleasure of learning about this place catering style in a parking lot at a Howler Brothers FC Party. The Barbacoa is BOMB. I think I had like 3 of them. Ok ok maybe 4.... I even wanted to ask them when the party was wrapping up if they had extra barbacoa that needed a home to go to. But...I didn't. Still kicking myself for not even trying lol. Juicy but not greasy. Corn tortilla was sturdy but not too thick. Veggie topping options were fresh. The flavor on point - I didn't even need to add their house sauce. And to speak for the catering - the setup was a great idea. They had heated servers of each of the meats and made your taco fresh to order. Each person could add their own veggies of their liking and sauce at the other end of the table. I love this concept way better than pre-made tacos. Huge plus, the guys working the stand were so friendly. Serving size did not disappoint AND they never judged me for how many times I kept going back.

Two words. Breakfast tacos. I was staying downtown in Austin and needed some breakfast tacos before heading out of town. This place served them all day so I walked 4 blocks to get there. The menu has regular lunch and dinner options as well as all day breakfast tacos. I went with the Migas, I love Bacon, Jefe, and Barbacoa. Each came with eggs and a meat along with salsa. The one without meat was the Migas which was actually vegetarian. That one came with avocado and tortillas chips. An interesting combo but super delicious. It was also a bit lighter to the stomach. I also got queso and chips which was unspectacular. The service was quick and friendly while there are plenty of places to sit and stand. I would love to be back in the future.

Humble location with nice people and cheap tacos. Enjoyed the Mexican music they played and that there is nothing pretentious about this place. All of that being said, would probs not come back because the tacos were just average. I appreciated that the cashier wasn't trying to upsell me on anything. He was honest about which sides were just okay and which were his favorite. He admitted the agua fresca is very sweet, even though it was obvious I would be deterred by that. I got chips and queso, a carne asada taco, a barbacoa breakfast taco, and an al pastor taco. The chips came in a bag so it's clear they're purchasing rather than making these. Which is fine, but I don't love that they were individually packaged because it's more plastic. The queso was the kind that keeps immediately developing a skin on top, and it wasn't very smooth. Flavor could be better too. The barbacoa taco was my favorite, but I am not sure why this is considered a "breakfast taco" when it doesn't have eggs on it. The barbacoa was tender, fatty, and flavorful as expected. The carne asada was tender, but the flavor of the meat felt drowned out by the sauce. Don't get me wrong, I loved the sauce. But the flavor of the meat itself was just average. Same sorts of feelings about the al pastor. The meat was tender, but the flavor needed improvement. I've also never had such big pieces of pineapple included on my tacos either. Call me picky, but I just wasn't impressed with the tacos and that's really the reason for a lower rating. I grew up in Texas and have eaten a lot of tacos. I get carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas tacos as a sort of litmus test and I wouldn't say they passed. These tacos were not great, not bad. Just alright.

Service is really quick and you can be in and out in 20 minutes for a lunch break if you work downtown. The staff is very friendly as well. The food here is amazing and tastes authentic and fresh, the lemonade tastes exactly how lemonade should be which is 100% fresh lemonade. And a lunch for two people is less than 20$, so in all fairness in price and quality this is one of the better places to grab a quick meal or a big meal and not leave a hole in your wallet.

I'm glad I stopped in. It's about a six minute walk from the Hilton hotel downtown. The lady answered. The phone was very friendly and took care of me. Food : the carne Asada taco was actually really good. It's top notch. Easy five stars for that taco. I like how they put the melted white cheese it's cool to perfection! Absolutely my favorite taco I had. Now the pastor taco wasn't that good. It was like 2 out of 5 stars. It was okay. The pineapple cuts were too big. Like I said the carne asada is the way to go! Easy five stars for that one.

The staff was really helpful with my pick up order and were quick to bring it to me. The food was delicious and cheap compared to other places in the area. The pancake taco is not wrapped in a pancake.

The tacos were decent but not remarkable. The tortilla was solid, but the meat portion was small and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Adding salsa definitely improved the flavor. Overall, it's a convenient meal that satisfies, but doesn't stand out.

I finally got a chance to experience One Taco and I was astonished. It was all new to me and walked up to order a Pollo Asado where the menu said was Grilled Chicken, Cheese Black Beans, Avocado & Chipotle Sauce along with a Topo Chico. The taco was just delicious with that Mexican flavor to it. The chicken was cooked perfectly, tasty spices, and soft touch to my mouth. I was amazed and definitely place One Taco in my Austin top 3. Two days later I returned to enjoy the Bandera where the menu said was Grilled Chicken, Avocado Grilled Cauliflower, Crispy & Pico de Gallo. This taco was also super delicious. The staff is nice and there is some seating inside, but the place is small. I recommend walking here but if you need to park then suggest in the Frost Bank Building which is appended to this place. This place will give you feeling of a Mexican taco place from across the border.

get a taco when in downtown austin. yes its a chain but that also means they have to maintain the quality and hygine. why bother qith food trucks? service is good. its spacious. tacos are about $2 each

Was in town as a tourist, and this was our groups fave place to get breakfasts tacos and their horchata ice coffee was absolutely amazing! Praying you guys expand and move to South Florida! This spot will make Taco Bell run out of busy!!!

OneTaco kept popping up on my Yelp but I pushed it aside because it was a chain. Big mistake. I was surprisingly struggling to find a normal, not all boujee, breakfast taco. I decided since I kept seeing this place, fine, I'll try it. It was so good! And such a good deal! We order a variety of tacos and all were delicious. Tne queso was Tex mex style and had a kick. The homemade lemonade was a needed post meal sweet. My regret is not coming here sooner so I could come again. Next time in Austin, I'll back. For now, I'm jealous of you Texans.

Visiting Austin for the first time, hotel was near One Taco and this is our 3rd time coming here for lunch. Friendliest staff every time and remembered us plus our order. The staff would engage conversation to the point where they even gave us a discount because this was our first time in Austin. Cannot beat the price of food and drinks, also one of the best quality tacos in Austin. So many other places receive hype but this place is it, you simply cannot beat it. Casual, friendly, and consistently delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough!

this place takes me back to those fire late night taco stalls on the side of the street in socal!!! I ordered them for delivery but def need to visit in person soon. we got the pastor, carne asada, campechana, and gowalla. the pastor was my favorite! super flavorful and the pineapple balanced everything out. my least favorite was probably the gowalla (bistec, bacon, queso fresco, avocado). it was a bit dry and the bacon was overpowering. still crushed it though! they do NOT skimp on meat y'all, the tacos were huge. their salsas were also fire (although I wish they gave more)

This place is dope AF. I don't even know what I ordered; it was just a miscellaneous handful of tacos. Damn were they delicious. I'm still dreaming about them a month later. Stop by here. This is the real deal, closest to street tacos in a safe environment you'll find.

FINALLY, a chicken street taco in ATX! I have been back for almost 5 years and I can't believe it took me this long to find a decent place for a taco! I have no idea why it has been difficult to find chicken street tacos in Austin, but it has been a journey as most places only have pork street tacos. I am thrilled to have discovered One Taco. I tried two pollo asado and a liflower taco, a side of the chips and queso and not one, but two grilled peppers. Everything was on point and clearly, I am glutton for punishment as the peppers kicked my butt and although I was sweating from every crevice, I still ate them....well, at least 1 & 1/2. The only thing that would make me happier is to find a truck, stand, whatever, that has chicken street tacos but with braised shredded chicken. If you are reading this and you have recommendations, please message me! In the meantime, One Taco will be my One and only spot for street tacos.

I've been coming here since I started working in downtown Austin. Love this scenery, music and people. Tacos are A1, and service even better! Try this place out with co-workers or family you won't be disappointed.

Visiting from out of town and grabbed some breakfast tacos before standing in line at Franklin Barbecue. I got the Buenos Dias - scrambled eggs, chorizo, refried black beans and cheese. Migas - scrambled eggs, tortilla chips, avocado, cheese and pico de gallo. Also got a horchata to wash things down. Nice cheap tacos that were filling and I like the salas available. Service was friendly it is bright and fun inside.

Definitely doesn't look like anything if you walk past it in the day time but I'm sure this place gets packed during the evenings and weekends. Decided to come for breakfast and let's just say one taco isn't enough! These tacos definitely brought the flavor and I wished I could have ordered one more but I was full off the two I got. (I love Bacon & The Migas). There was no wait for me to place my order and it took about 8 mins to receive, in addition to the tacos you will receive complimentary salsa which dope. My order was only about 8 bucks which in this day and age seems unheard of. I would definitely come back and try other things.

The location came highly recommend and did not disappoint. There was no wait. I came right in and placed my order. My to go food order was ready in about five minutes or so. The person who took my order was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was nice and not loud. The street tacos were delicious. I ordered the carne asada and chicken street tacos. They were yummy. The chips and guacamole were also good. I may visit the location again before my trip ends.

One taco is a bright and vibrant spot to grab some delicious tacos. I stopped in for breakfast tacos and was thoroughly pleased with what was served up. It's a walk up and order style restaurant with tables and high-top counter seating. The staff were super friendly and the food came out quickly. I went with the Buenos Días and the Migas. Both were delicious! They also serve coffee and desserts but I passed on this occasion. These breakfast tacos are a fantastic way to start the day. Enjoy!

Place is alright. Seems to more of a lunch place or a LATE NIGHT Dive. It is good. But there's better. It's a downtown place, no ambiance really. So it just all depends what you're looking for.

It was the first day of TASSP conference and it was lunch time in Austin, Texas. Having attended this conference for years, you learn about the places around the convention center and One Taco is a must attend. I walked from the convention center yet if your driving, parking is an issue. As you enter, you place your order and the tacos are sold individually. The restaurant has a Mexican Luchador theme so my inner child who attended Mexican wrestling likes this place. It was Tuesday so TACO TUESDAY brought me a discount so I felt my Rick Flair come out woooooooo! Sitting is limited and you wait for your number to be called. The trompo or seasoned meat tacos were good and big. The Gowalla is a good blend of meats and recommended yet a bit expensive for one taco. If you are in downtown Austin, and feel like getting your luchador on, this is the place for you.

After being disappointed with TacoDeli's lunch offerings, I found myself craving some authentic street tacos. If you find yourself in the same boat, look no further than OneTaco! The prices are really decent and the tacos hit the right spot. I got two carne asada and two al pastor street tacos (both loaded with onions and cilantro) and some chips and guac. Everything was really, really tasty. The carne asada had great flavor without being over seasoned and the marinade on the al pastor was just perfection. They had classically delicious salsas to add as well. The guac was a surprise stand out. I was just craving some so I ordered it on a whim, but wow it was really well seasoned and had the perfect balance of avocado, tomato, and chopped onion. I was really happy! OneTaco definitely satisfied my taco craving and they are my number one taco choice for the area without a doubt!

Alas, another taco joint in Austin, but ladies and gents, hear me when I say this one does not disappoint. It's walking distance from work, and I need to stop myself from visiting here every morning, otherwise I'll need a doctor and a personal trainer. I'm a self proclaimed breakfast taco (breakfast burrito to all you non-Texans) snob so when this place was recommended to me, I immediately had my doubts. My first question to every breakfast taco recommendation is, "do they mix the bacon with the eggs, or do they just add a slice over scrambled eggs?" Then I was hit with a response I've never heard in my 40yrs of breakfast taco tenure. "Both!" Wait.....what?! This can't be! I must witness this black magic at once. I had the "I Heart Bacon", and friends, they do in fact mix the bacon and add a slice of bacon for good measure. Take my money, OneTaco. Test my willpower, OneTaco. I heart you. Cheers.

I grew Up here in Texas and moved away, so I was really craving good street tacos and this place satisfies that craving! So flavorful and the meat is juicy. I love a classic Al Pastor Taco but their Gowalla (bistec and bacon) taco was also fantastic! Also their elote is fantastic!

Stopped in for breakfast tacos with a group of 7 people. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our tacos - I had the Taco Hefe and highly recommend it!

Breakfast tacos! Breakfast tacos! Breakfast tacos! Holy crap these are great. It's possible I went to this location twice and each time was dynamite.

This was recommended by a Lyft driver and was just okay. I got the Al Pastor taco, horchata, and chips with salsa. My friend and I stopped in about 30 minutes before closing which may explain why the pastor was dried out. It was sad to look at and eat. However, the pineapple was fresh and not canned. Horchata tasted like a liquified churro to me and I enjoyed it. My friend found it too sweet for her taste. The chips came in a transparent plastic bag with a Best Buy date stamped on it. The salsa was flavorful and on the spicy side.

Not great, but cheap, quick and easy. Skip the elotes...canned corn with some mayo basically. Friends from out of town loved it, but I'm spoiled by so many great taco places here.

Had the chicken taco with pico de gallo and avocado. It was delicious -- my favorite part was probably the tortilla. Seems fresh, homemade, and just delicious. I also had the Mexican corn, and as much as I love elote, it was a departure from what I am used to. I like it with lots of cheese, mayo, some spice, and butter. Their version had too much lime and not enough cheese and creaminess. Service was quick and easy, and we were probably in and out of there in 30 minutes. Really tasty and fulfilling. Interested in coming back for their breakfast options.

Clean establishment, friendly staff/service. The food is amazing! I did modify my taco but it's awesome!!! My husband's taco el pastor was such a delight!
