weekend morning — and it was fantastic! Only $9.99, but the quality was outstanding. The broth was rich and flavorful without being greasy, and it came with plenty of tender beef. Even the kimchi and radish kimchi were fresh and perfectly seasoned. For the price, quality, and care, this place absolutely delivers. 👉 Must-try: Seolleongtang 🍲 👉 Would visit again: Definitely yes 💯

The food was excellent, and all the side dishes were delicious. The service was top-notch as well. Since it's in a shopping center, there was plenty of parking, which was very convenient. I'll definitely come back when I'm in New Jersey again!

While sitting at the restaurant and checking Google reviews to decide what to order, I came across a review mentioning that someone found hair in their food. I joked with my friends, “What if there’s hair in ours too?” and we casually checked our dishes when the food arrived. Unfortunately, it was not a joke. We found hair not once, but three separate times. At first, I stayed quiet because I didn’t want to ruin my friends’ appetites, and I also considered the possibility that it could have been my own hair. However, later, in a piece of meat I was eating, there was a long strand of hair that was clearly human hair, not pork hair. At that point, I felt extremely uncomfortable and disgusted. Additionally, under the small dish containing the green onion side dish, there were visible red pepper flakes stuck underneath. This raised concerns that side dishes might have been reused from other customers or that the dishes were not properly washed. Given these repeated hygiene issues, I strongly believe this restaurant should be subject to an unannounced inspection by the health department.

I dined at Onga a few times and enjoyed their food every time. Today was the first time I ordered for pick up and also the first time ordering 꼬리곰탕 (ox tail soup) + 꼬리추가 (extra ox tail) for an additional $12.99. I understand prices for everything have gone up including ingredients, but $12.99 for 2 pieces of 꼬리추가 (extra ox tail) is insane and so unreasonable.

This place is soooo goood! The galbi jjim is very flavorful. You get beef, potatoes, onion, rice, and can add cheese for extra. The price is expensive, but it makes sense with how big this portion is. This can probably feed like 5-6 people. They also have a lot of soup options here and they are pretty good as well. It can get crowded during dinner time so I'd recommend making a reservation. Another good thing is that they open 24/7!

Food is great. We always order Galbijjim and it’s very tasty. Sometimes the beef rib isn’t braised until very tender. For my taste, it still feels a bit sweet toward the end, though that’s a common trait of Korean cuisine in the US.

It’s a crime if you are expecting anything culinary exceptional when you pay $10 for a Korean soul meal served in a hot bowl. I was hesitant to try for several months, and boy I was pleasantly surprised this morning. After devouring the spicy and leek soup during their famous breakfast special, I am proclaiming this is the best recession-proof meal in the town. I was greeted and treated with decent enough hospitality from waitstaff. That was not expected as well because I was paying a Big Mac meal price. Well, now I know what they are capable of and what they are striving for in terms of hospitality, I am so ready to come back during dinner time to fully explore their offering.

Exceeded my expectation! Everything is soooooo good! The meat was just so tender and you can just taste the love in the soup. Absolutely obsessed! Amazing hospitality as well :)

I came here on a early Sunday morning to have some comforting soup to heal my beat up soul(also for the discounted menu before 10am). I ordered the Woo gu ji Kalbi tang with and extra order of meat. Man this was hot delicious and totally worth the food coma afterwards. The only complaint is that you can tell the extra meat was a lot fresher and had a good healthy chew to the soft meat. The short rib that was in the original soup is good but you can tell by the color that the meat had been cooking quite a bit longer. My wife and daughter opted for the Sul Lung Tang and Dogani Tang. Both were absolutely delicious and would gladly go back to anything on the menu. Next time I think a little meat action with the Jungol is the way to go. The soup has had a lot of care and deserves to be appreciated after some early morning exercise or a late night having to many drinks. This will definitely bring you back to life. Cheers!

Authentic is the first word that comes to mind, the taste of these soups are truly deep in savory flavor and reminiscent of my visits to Korea. Especially the Kkakdugi (spicy diced radish kimchi) which was sensational! The Beef Bone Broth had lot of beef slices with deep bone broth flavor but the winner was yukgaejang soup with its ample shredded beef and leek with savory flavorful soup based that was divine. The meat was on the bones and it was delicious yet the quantity was not as much for the price. However, I still think ir is worth it for the deep umami souptaste, even if it is on the pricier end of this type of dish. Service is as busy and hectic as expected in this type of restaurant. They weren't too keen on refilling the "banchan" (side dish) that's one of the reasons I enjoy Korean food. This is one of the service points that I look for whenever I visit Korean restaurant so they did not meet the full mark as I would've given to others who make you want to come back because the service is so good. Nestled among rules of smaller shops in the Hannam market shopping centre, Onga is located between Café Trois and Lovely Puppy House. Seating is cafeteria style, and it reminds me of many traditional Korean restaurant interiors of experience, experienced firsthand. It does get a bit noisier as more people come in because everyone is usually talking. The menu is the placemat and selections are on the smaller end as their specialty is soup/broth based dishes. Free parking is right in front of the restaurant, if you can find one. No worries as there's plenty because it is a shopping center with a grocery store. It doesn't look like it's the shopping center crowd. If you know what I mean. Because Hannam Market also has food court inside many people take advantage of that eat their and shop for groceries. This seems to be more people who purposely go to a restaurant and then a lot of them go to the café next-door, which is kind of a common thing among Korean patrons. Since there are other two restaurants/food food court that carry the same dish (one being inside the Hannam Market and other being DOL Restaurant that is on the complete opposite end of the shopping center in the corner), this place I would visit again if I had guests from out of town so that they would have a solid, good meal and the café experience next-door. My rating for the food is 5.0 and the restaurant itself is 4.0.

Came here hungry. I needed some comfort food after a stressful flight and everything was closed. This place serves warm meat soups 24 hours a day. I got the basic beef soup. It hit the spot. My initial reaction was that the soup was too simple. It needed more salt and flavor, but still - hot the spot. It's a simple soup without too much Bella and whistles. The hubby got an ox soup and I liked his soup much better than mine. It tasted like bone marrow and had glass noodles. A win in my book. I will get that one if we go back. Decor is simple and service is good. I also liked the sides. Overall simple, good food and open 24 hours.

The kalbijjim is out of this world! It might even be better than the ones I've had in Cali. The meat was super flavorful and tender. There were only 4 bones so it was mostly meat and vegetables (there were potatoes, rice cakes, carrots). I loved the potatoes that soaked up all the flavor. The portion size filled up 6 of us so it was worth the hefty price. The soups we're also outstanding. The Seolleongtang was rich and perfect for a cold day. The interior is spacious with many tables and the parking lot outside is large.

It's sparse in decor, but it's got a true Korean basics place. But don't judge, the food is spot on. This is now our go to for picking up traditional soups. Service is prompt and courteous. No complaints! Thank you for serving up good traditional food!

Pretty decent spot for good korean style ribs (galbi jjim). We walked in for a weekend dinner and our group was seated right away. Service was friendly and as you'd expect from similar restaurants. Food was good - we got the galbi jjim and oxtail soup (sullung tang). My one issue was that we ordered mild/not spicy and holy moly it was so spicy. Not sure if that's usual or if my spice tolerance went way down but just something to note. Ambiance is as you'd expect from similar restaurants in the area. I'd say it's worth a shot for pretty good korea style ribs.

Overall it more more like 3.5 stars. It's good enough to go back for lunch. And they do give you decent amount of meats/contents compared to other places (4 stars). The soup base was OK (3 stars). It didn't taste like it was boiled for long period or anything special. I was with 3 other people and had similar 3~4 star rating for their dishes. FYI, the dishes/ratings among the group were ox knee soup (3), beef brisket ox bone soup (4), spicy honeycomb & beef soup (3.5), and spicy beef and leek soup (3.5). I couldn't do 4 stars because the kimchi is the most important side dishes at a soup place. Needed a bit more fermentation. Also, even though you can ask for more, its cumbersome to keep asking when there is a small dish of it for 4 people. Place was nice and clean, staff were friendly, and it is open 24/7. Maybe I will give it another go for that additional star.

I really enjoyed the Galbijjim. I definitely recommend ordering that specialty dish. I ordered it "regular" spicy and that was great level. It's enough to feed 4 people (2-3 people if it's all guys). You can really tell this is a local Korean spot when it's successful and busy in this plaza location. This area is not on the main food strip yet it's packed on a Saturday night. I've heard good things from other Korean folks too so it has the seal of approval. Additionally, I've only also tried the ox bone soup and it's perfect when you add a bit of salt. The salt is in an open bowl so it's not the most sanitary option. That would be my only critique.

$9.99 breakfast deal is unbeatable! The food is balanced, delicious, and served quickly. The (ox knee) soup is rich with beefy broth flavor and will warm everything inside of you. I love that you salt your soup to taste which allows for some personalization. You honestly don't even have to add salt, the broth is already flavorful enough! Their side dishes are also very yummy and pair wonderfully with the soul warming soup.

I keep going back and forth from 3-4 stars but I ended up going with 3 because some dishes lacked depth in flavor and there are so many other comparable restaurants. The galbijim is clearly the star dish here and I highly recommend getting no spice or mild because even the mild was spicy. They have rice cakes and potato already in the dish which was a plus. The amount of meat justified the price and the meat was tender and enough for 4 people. We tried the ox tail soup, special beef rib soup, beef short rib soup, and dumpling and rice cake soup. As far as the soup base, it does not taste very rich/flavorful. The special beef rib was the most tasty out of them all. I was happy with the portion sizes and they do give a generous amount of meat. Meat inside the soups were tender. I was however disappointed in their radish kimchi and regular kimchi as a korean restaurant who serves a lot of soup based dishes with rice. Both needed more time to ferment. Overall decent place for korean food but the price tag is pretty hefty.

Onga is in the middle of nowhere, but they seem to be open 24 hours which is great since most restaurants close before 10pm most days. I only came here for the short rib pot, which is absolutely worth it and amazing. It's big enough to feed 3-4 people easily and all the meat falls off the bone, everything is just bathing in that magical sauce (cheese is extra). If it was less out of the way I'd almost go every week if I lived in NJ. This dish and spot are a must try!

Lovely new authentic Korean stew-oriented restaurant in Fort Lee. Nice thing is they are open 24 hours so it's an easy spot for breakfast or late nights. Had the traditional tripe/intestine stew which was really tasty and hearty on a cold morning. Friend enjoyed his dumpling and rice cakes soup too. Ample parking in the big strip mall and service here was very friendly and efficient. Every diner when we went there is a local it seems and mostly Korean so you know for a newly open joint that it's really authentic and has caught on quick in an area where there's no shortage of good Korean options. Definitely one on my rotation!

Came here with a few friends to try out their soups and I've got to say their prime rib soup was delicious! Full of flavor and rich in their broth.

Superrrrrb excited to have a new restaurant in the area and they're now part of my top list! They opened just a month ago but you already see this place with so many people. Tried the galbitang and galbijim and they were both so so delicious, and flavored just right!

Everything was fantastic. The food is phenomenal, the service was very nice and the servers were attentive. It's a new restaurant. I hope they succeed in the business. (I didn't want to reduce a star but I hope they can clean the bathroom better). We'll be back to try other items from the menu.

My group and I decided to stop by here since it was open 24/7. We were driving back from a ski trip and I was reminiscing this galbitang that I had in Seoul 2 months prior and how amazing that would earn me up. ONGA's galbitang tasted exactly like the one I had in Korea. The broth was clear and rich (no salt was needed) and the meat quality looked really good - tasted great and the marbling was exquisite. The crown jewel that my group ordered for the table is the massive galbijjim that was topped and torched with cheese. The marinated was so juicy and coated the galbi so well and the little potato bites melted in your mouth. I hope this place stays open as late as they can because every time I'm driving back to NYC at night I might stop here. Only note that I have is that the soup spoons are not as deep so I'm not slurping as much soup as I would like - but that's the only slight that I have with this place.

This place is legit awesome. Super authentic soups and stews with some star items like the galbijim that's great for groups. The staff is super nice and banchan was great too. So glad they opened

If you're looking for an authentic Korean food specializing in "tang" soups, then look no further! I ordered Ox Bone Soup (설렁탕) and my friend ordered Spicy honeycomb tripe & beef soup (온가 양곱창 얼큰 국밥), and both were excellent and satisfying! ONGA will be my regular spot for lunch!

New Authentic Korean Cuisine Opened in Fort Lee, New Jersey area，everything was REALLY EXCEPTIONAL. The chef is from LA. When I looked at the menu, I realized that everything on the menu is SUPER AUTHENTIC. It took my memory back to the Korea. Now, let's talk about the most famous/signature dishes. You really need to check out their Galbijjim ‼ Large portion with valuable price. The beef ribs were flavorful and tender. ADD CHEESE ‼ It was incredibly delicious and perfectly presented. "Prime braised beef ribs, Galbijjim"

The food is delicious but the service is SUPERB! You would expect the servers to be tired at midnight, but Alex and Ted were so attentive and provided some of the best customer service we've ever experienced. Come for the food and stay for the good vibes

What a treat of a place! So deliciousness and seriously, it's open 24 hours. Got there early in the morning and was surprised how many people were there. Guess it is not a hidden gem, all locals know about it. Everything is great. Absolute gem of a place.

I was craving for some Korean food. I decided to try this new place and boy I'm glad I did.. it was very clean, super friendly service and most of all .. foods were fantastic.. I ordered Galbi Jim and it was one of the best Korean foods I had in awhile.. I definitely will be back and try other dishes..

Great new Korean restaurant in town!!! Highly recommend trying the kalbi jjim or gop chang!! They also have so many good soups to pick from!!! So good, I went back multiple times already ... the service and the food are all amazing!!! Also it's BYOB so don't forget to bring your favorite drink (s) !!!

Onga has an amazing Galbi Jim that's rich, tender, and deeply flavorful. The braised short ribs are perfectly marinated, with a savory-sweet balance and a subtle kick from the peppers. The braised short ribs were tender and savory, the back ribs were juicy and succulent, and the oxtail was rich and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The quality of the food was exceptional. Every dish (banchan) was bursting with authentic flavors and carefully prepared to perfection. The food presentation was equally impressive, with each dish looking as good as it tasted. The timing of the meal was spot on, ensuring that each course was served at the optimal temperature and freshness. Very cozy to eat together with family and friends. I highly recommend this place.

Very delicious all kind of korean soups menus. Especially in the morning they have special breakfast menus which prices down compare regular menus.

24hrs? This place is awesome. Great food, good service. As far as ambiance it's a standard Korean restaurant. The kalbi tang is my favorite. The sul lung tang is great. Love this place.

Great new place! Price was reasonable, flavor was clean, and their galbi was meaty and tender. Came here for lunch and had special galbi tang and spicy honeycomb tripe and beef. They specialize in Galbijjim, will be sure to come back for dinner for that!

This restaurant just opened. My wife and I were visiting the area and were craving authentic Korean cuisine. This place did not disappoint us! We enjoyed the warm hospitality of the staff. The highlight was the soups! Yum! The soups we shared were the Spicy Brisket and the Spicy Beef and Leek. Highly recommend both of them. I personally loved the Spicy Brisket. We are glad we took the chance on this new restaurant.

We went to Onga for the first time on New Year's Day with my parents for Duk Mandoo Gook (Rice cake and dumpling soup). A Korean tradition. The place was clean and bright. The soup was delicious - albeit with too much broth. The menu was simple and focused. Excellent service - friendly, quick, and efficient. We will go back again to try other items on the menu.

Too expensive!!!!!I went there with a friend for the first time yesterday and the price was too expensive. The quantity is small and the quality is not that great, but the price seems to be more than twice as expensive as other places. Braised ribs for $90. omg. There are a lot of $50 bills out there. I guess I should never go there.
