"Onigilly specializes in Japanese rice balls with lots of different fillings. A single costs between $2.75 and $3.50, and for lunch, you’ll probably want three. (If you order an edamame set - three rice balls plus edamame - you can walk out with lunch for under $12, even if you get the most expensive fillings.) We like the teriyaki chicken, the salmon, and the tarako (pollock roe spread). You can also get your meal served to you in bowl form with mixed greens for under $13." - Taylor Abrams, Jess Basser Sanders, Will Kamensky

Love this place! As with so many of my favorites - this was a completely random discovery but I'm glad that I decided to stop in. Onigilly - a masterfully executed take on Japanese cuisine - is proof that age-old cultural traditions, such as healthy eating and great service, are here to stay and are not at all threatened by the technological invasion. On contrary, with a bit of creativity, talent, and hard work sticky , seaweed, and fresh fish blend very well into nutritiously rich triangular shapes and deliver delicious flavors right into your mouth! In short: a tiny hole-in-the-wall modest place originating in the Bay Area serves great Japanese food at affordable prices. I had Salmon and Shitaake Onigillys (triangle sushi style thing) and chicken soup - great mid-day snack! Coming back and telling all my friends about this! Thank you!!!

Amazing amount of veggie and vegan options! Both the onigiri and salad bowls are delicious. In particular, I love the teriyaki tofu and hijiki. The service is usually pretty speedy, but you can also order online for pickup if you're in a hurry.

Had a chance to grab some onigiri here for lunch. They server varieties of onigiri with many flavors. It's a bit on the expensive side, and they taste just alright. It's nothing compared to onigiri you can find in Japan. Even the ones you find attached convenience stores there are better than this. I guess I'm just spoiled. Still worth to try if you happen to be in the area.

Its my favorite place to have lunch. I always order the rice bowl with crab, lotus roots and spicy bacon or unagi. They make it fresh each time and its just healthy. The bowl comes with rice, salad and soy beans. I think it's worth it.

The best onigilly I've had. Loaded with flavor, tasty seaweed, easy to eat and right underneath the TransAmerica building. Lovely spot for an outdoor lunch with beau.

Gets the job done but if you were recently in Japan and are craving onigiri, this will leave you wondering when you can afford your next trip back overseas.

Delicious Onigiri, with great vegetarian options too.
