Ono Poke @ One Allen Center

First and last time to this place. $14 for this tiny bowl with 95% salad and remaining 5% was bits and pieces of added toppings and about 7 small pieces of tuna. Definitely not worth it

It is a bit bland. It still tasted okay, but it was definitely a "food court" poke place, and probably the worst poke I have tried. Not to say inedible, but every single other poke place I have tried was a league above this. They are very stingy on the fish serving size. I did not get sick and the raw fish was fresh. So it is perfectly safe for anyone to try out. But if you were not too impressed as a first impression - just note there are better options out there for Poke bowls, and at a better price.

I love ono poke!! The spicy salmon is the greatest bowl in the universe-add unagi drizzle for a life changing bowl. By far the best quality bowls in Houston. The bowls are not overpriced for me, but I prefer QUALITY over quantity! Also, they’re not small bowls! I feel completely satisfied after eating a regular. I’m so sad the location on Richmond closed because that was my go to spot for years!

Used to love it but portions have shrunk. Perhaps not so much for the fish but definitely for the greens and rice consistently my last 5-7 visits. Pretty sure this is the reason why there is never a line any more but other businesses right next to it can barely keep up. A healthy lunch does not have to be a tiny lunch - just ask Leaf & Grain nextdoor. Fix the issue if you want to remain in business. I'll give it another change in a few weeks but if the issue persist, I wont be coming back.

I can't recommend Ono Poke anymore. Everytime I have gone the portions keep getting smaller and the prices keep going up. The large poke bowl portions are now smaller than the regular used to be. I have been going here for years and it's just disappointing now. Today was my last time.

Highly recommend spicy salmon bowl

There are a couple of good poke places I frequent downtown: Ono and Uncle Sharky's. Salmon, tuna, tofu and shrimp are on the menu. I also saw miso soup. Quick service, seating is in the Allen center tunnel food area. On my last visit, I had the shaggy dog poke bowl with brown rice. The shrimp and shredded crab combination was delicious. Good prices. Recommended.

Good flavor. Everything was fresh. I paid for 4 scoops of protein and it was WEAK. They must use 1/2 tsp scoops to measure it. Still better than fast food for a healthy lunch but probably wouldn't go back. Was a little hard to find cus it's in the basement of a corporate building.

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place, it might be my new favorite in the allen center food court. The location is tucked away in a corner but you can't miss it. I got the ahi bowl and it was delicious. I ordered online so it would be ready ahead of time and I didn't have to wait. There's lots of ways to customize your bowl so you can truly make it just how you want. I was happy with my meal but felt they were shy with my additions. I requested cucumber be added and didn't feel like there was very much at all. Otherwise a really good bowl. I actually ate it in two sittings because the regular was more than I needed.

I've become a big fan of this little downtown spot. Surprisingly very fresh and filling. Super friendly employees who are eager to help and haven't gotten my order wrong to date. Now I order online. Love all of the sauces. Only thing is it's so expensive. It's a decent sized portion and a nice light lunch but you won't have leftovers. I add a tip and it's $14 for my veggie poke bowl. But still worth it on occasion.

Protein servings - 2 stars. The salmon wasn't cut so I was eating sashimi which is fine if the quality of the salmon was good. Next, they were really stingy on the scoop. Rice - extremely hard. Each grain felt like it wasn't fully cooked. Order - paid for extra avocado and kani, got neither of those. Never going to come back. Please close down so we can have a better option. Thank you.

Soft opening in downtown tunnels on 2/14/19. They had a line before opening at 11am. Limited menu for the soft opening but same awesome flavor! Offering preset bowls with options of toppings. Will be adding create your own eventually. Bring the cilantro to this location please! I got a large bowl, and I'm not sure if it's because of the to go container but the portion seems smaller at this location than Richmond. Still very excited for my fav poke to be in walking distance for lunch!

fresh fish fast service options for half brown and half greens line gets pretty long but it moves fast! get the spicy ahi.. add garlic and shallots and top it off with spicy mayo! so glad they're down inside the tunnels now

I got the Hawaiin Ahi Bowl from this place. Menu price is $9 you get a small bowl with your choice of base (I got white rice) and some salmon, onions, sesame seeds sprinkled on top. When I say SOME, I'm not using it lightly. Very basic poke that is not worth the price you pay. I tried poke at Poke Fresh Sushi & Sashimi the day before and that was much more appealing and fulfilling, not to mention more tasty than the poke bowl at Ono Poke for roughly the same price. I'd say skip this place.

I've been to many poke places in Houston but this is the most expensive one. Many restaurants operates in downtown tunnel and I understand that they pay more for rent so yes, they'd charge more for food but OnePoke surely takes it to another level. My order was 12.99$ full price which I had to pay extra for mango and seaweed salad. Other than the tuna is on the side, this is the picture of my order that costs $12.99 but probably is only 1/2 that other places would give you. Lesson learned to stay away from this one unless you want to pay 13$ and still feel hungry afterwards!

Downtown Houston - we finally have a legit poke place within walking distance for lunch! Located in the tunnels in Allen Center, between Gigi's cupcakes and Thai Basil, where the smoothie place used to be. On 2/20/19, I was able to order a custom bowl and it was on par with the high quality I've had at the Richmond location, though the bowl might have been just a little but smaller. $10.75 for 3 scoops of your choice of protein (salmon is my go-to). Certain add ons are an additional cost, like avocado ($1), kani/imitation crab (.50), mango (.50) and seaweed (.50). The rest is gratis. The word has already spread and there was a line, but they kept it moving pretty smoothly. The biggest slowdown seemed to be entering your email if you want to join the loyalty rewards program. There is apparently a poke place that recently opened nearby on the ground level. You'd be wise to skip that and head straight here for the real deal. Pro tip: ask for half rice, half mixed greens for your base to cut down on the carbs.

I love Ono Poke on Richmond and was very excited about this one opening in the tunnels. My first time there was ok. There are some things they do in the tunnel location as pre-prep that make it's not as versatile as the Richmond location. I accepted that. But my last two trips there were quite disappointing. First, they made my poke with tuna and salmon when I only ordered a bowl with tuna. That was fine. My trip this week; I got a bowl (made right) and tea. The tea comes from a soda fountain, so its unsweet. No sweetener where anywhere around. I waited for the person behind the counter to notice me so I could ask for some. She flat told me that they don't have any and looked kinda shocked that I asked. She was not exactly nice about it. I had to swipe some from a restaurant that I didn't do business with. I actually felt a bit crappy about doing that. So, 3 trips there and two of them were less than stellar. I like the guys at the register tho.
