Recently moved into the area and was pleasantly surprised On's! Ordered the Thai Fried Rice, Pad See Ew, and Mango Sticky Rice. Food came together in less than 20 minutes. Prices are reasonable, food was fresh! Customer service was excellent. I want to highlight the young man working there. I left my bag and wallet and only realized about 10 minutes after I left the restaurant. As I ran back, I saw him leaving the store to find me to return my bag. Thank you!! I will be returning. :)

Google
Very fresh and delicious. We'll be coming back to try other things on the menu, but the fried rice, lemongrass salad, wontons, and crab cakes were amazing!

Google
Absolutely delicious! Saw this place a few weeks ago and was delighted to see a Thai restaurant in my neighborhood. The Green Curry and Pad Thai were outstanding. Excellent flavor. We will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes!

Google
I've been to the full On's restaurant but never tried this satellite location. To my delight, the food was exactly as delicious as it is at the main location, and the cashier/server Joel was incredibly attentive and courteous. The seating is quite modest, but I was perfectly happy with my visit.

Google
I love having this in the neighborhood! Everyone who works there is always so nice and the food is great. Highly recommend getting the egg rolls as an app. Every curry and noodle dish we have tried has been great!

Google
Ordered pad see ew, Thai style papaya salad, egg rolls, and chicken pad Thai. I loved the convenience in online ordering and the papaya salad was good as expected and I would order again. Eggrolls weren't bad either for the price. However, both stir fried noodle dishes tasted WAY too ketchup-y or sweet and very salty. The pad Thai had a red tinge to it, was extremely sweet and salty, and was not good. Had higher hopes for the pad see ew which did not look red but was missing any sort of wok flavor which is standard for these dishes. There was no browning in the beef or any of the noodles and veggies so it just tasted syrupy and lacked depth. Would not recommend these noodle dishes. Last thing I will say is I appreciate they actually try to get as close as they can to your preferred spice scale when you're ordering.

Google
I ordered red curry early april and got a tasty dish, but this time it was filled with lemon grass and was extremely salty. The chicken looked funny and was cold. It felt like it was microwaved. The sticky rice was hard and stiff. The wontons we ordered tasted like the cheese was old. I cannot recommned this place.

Google
Very high quality food, some of the best I’ve had and the items on the menu are much more unique and authentic than your average Thai restaurant. And the service was amazing, the server went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to eat!

Yelp
This restaurant is set up like panda express, already made food to choose from and to go. They have a good size portion and good price. I didn't even finish my lunch, I ordered combination with 2 entree and rice. The guy behind the counter was super nice and recommended the different entrees. They have a full menu to choose from as well. There's tables and chairs to dine in, but will fill up quickly during the dinner time. Definitely recommend if you're in this side of town.

Yelp
Finally, my prayers have been answered - there is good Thai food in Highland! I'm willing to bet everything in the menu is delicious, because everything I ordered so far has been. And I plan to prove myself right after a few dozen more trips. The Pad See Ew is bomb.com. Wontons are delicate and crispy (not hard). Tod Man fish cakes are amazing. Chicken satay is fantastic. Even the cucumber vinaigrette "salad" that comes with a bunch of stuff... I could eat a bowl of just that. Portions are not huge, which allows for trying a lot of things, and I like that. It's not going to be a super cheap meal, but it's quality stuff and I find the prices quite fair. Just go already!

Yelp
They used to be located in downtown Minneapolis and closed down during the pandemic. I am so happy that they are now reopen. Food is awesome and staffs are friendly. Pad kra pow and five spice pork is my go to

Yelp
I don't usually provide negative feedback but unfortunately the food were very poor quality. We ordered Pad Woon Sen, Pad Ga Prow, Penang Curry, unfortunately all the dishes were too salty and too sweet. We cannot even taste any fish sauce or any flavors because the salt and sugar camouflage all the flavors. I was excited to try this restaurant as we dined at the University location and we loved it.

Yelp
Inedible food and even worse service. I have gone to the original On's many times over the years and love that they carry my favorite Thai soup - Khao Soi, as many Thai restaurants do not! So I was excited when the express location opened in Highland Park near where I live now. I've only ordered from this location one other time so far, I got an appetizer and it was fine, but this week I decided to splurge for the pricier $16 Khao Soi and treat myself to one of my favorite meals. I ordered around 7:30pm, and picked up my takeout right before they closed at 8pm. When I got home and went to transfer the soup to a bowl, I immediately knew something was wrong when the soup came splashing out with a very odd chunky texture. I paused wondering if they had changed how they served the protein and put ground meat in it, but no - the dish came with whole chicken drumsticks. After taking a closer look, I realized the chunks had to be coconut milk, either bad or just curdled. Huge bummer, I knew they had already closed so there was no way to get a replacement for dinner at this point, and although it smelled okay and was probably "safe" to eat, it was so unappetizing and clearly not the way the dish is intended to be served. I ate my wontons and rice for dinner and planned to call the store the next day for a refund for the curdled soup. I even sent the photo to a friend who's family operates another local asian restaurant, and immediately they said it was bad coconut milk. When I called the next day, I explained what happened, I was very nice and reasonable in my approach, didn't even express being upset, just requested the money refunded for the one item that was not edible. The person I spoke to told me he would be happy to re-make the soup for me. I re-iterated that I was looking for a refund, and we started going back and forth as he insisted that was the only thing he could offer me. Not only was it too late to "re-make" my meal for dinner from the night before, but it was truly so unappetizing I had no interest in ordering from them again any time soon and a replacement soup was not a suitable solution in this scenario. It became clear to me that he had gone on the defensive and felt that I was either lying about the food, or accusing them on serving expired ingredients. He kept stating things like "we don't serve expired food", and "if you had tasted it, it would've been fine". I clarified a number of times that I thought most likely the milk had just curdled and I BELIEVED that they don't have any expired products on hand. He held his line that he would only be offering me a replacement soup because "the soup was correct, the chef tasted it, sometimes the vinegar makes it look like that, but if you had tried it, it was correct". At this point I felt I was being accused of lying and literally told him "listen, I'm not trying to scam you out of $16, I spent money for food that I could not eat. I just want a refund so thats not wasted money. If you have an email I'd be happy to send you the photos to prove I'm not lying." He basically ignored that and repeated his line about re-making the soup for me "whenever I wanted it". At this point I am upset and told him the soup looked disgusting (look at the photos - it looks like there is baby vomit in it), and I had NO interest in a replacement soup, and then I asked him "so what if it had been a hair in the food. would you still refuse to return the customers money?" and his reply was "we don't serve food with hairs in it." WHAT?!?! Obviously no one intends to ever serve a hair on food, but it does happen, human error exists. And funny enough... I found a google review from this location, stating they found hairs in their food! The restaurants reply to that person was also filled with attitude and attempts to avoid taking any responsibility. At no point did this employee bother asking for my name or order number, so it was a bit weird he kept claiming "the chef tasted my soup" and he KNOWS it was "made correct", because how would he know? Sure - maybe he was working that night, but it was clear he was not even willing to consider the possibility they had served me an unsatisfactory dish. I've worked in the restaurant industry for years - mistakes happens and there are times there will be issues with the food, no one and no restaurant is immune to this reality. I've also had this exact soup dozens of times in my life, I've made it myself, and I know how it should look, and what texture it should have. I am not one to write reviews like this (I had to literally create a yelp account for this), but I have NEVER experienced customer service this bad. I have never been argued with by a business refusing to acknowledge they may have made an error and refusing a refund in the case of bad food. Business 101 - what NOT to do. Go check out their Google reviews, they have a number of negative reviews with rude gaslighting responses from the business. AVOID.

Yelp
When they opened near our home I was excited for several reasons. We enjoyed their store in the Midway area but parking was very difficult. Now in this location we could pull in right in front and walk in. Also, we have family from Thailand so we were curious to learn what they thought of the food. It's mostly take-out with just a few seats inside. We took it to go. I'd recommend an online order. The carry out traffic was brisk on the Thursday night we went. The food was well worth the wait. I noticed all of the portions looked generous. I ate a chicken dish, whose name I forgot. It was spiced mildly, as I requested. There was the equivalent of about three ordinary servings there. We will certainly go back .

Yelp
I had the mango sweet and sour with chicken and the spice level set at "mild to medium." I'm not weak to spice but this was actually kind of spicy. I was thinking it was going to be MN spicy since it was only the second on the list and there are multiple levels of Thai spicy as options to choose from on the ordering menu. I would consider this level more medium than mild, as an average non white person not bothered by spice. I would give this restaurant 4 stars but I'm going to give it 3 because I'm pretty sure by its appearance and taste, the rice that came with my dish not jasmine. It looks like basic white rice which is disappointing for a Thai restaurant. My boyfriend had the pad thai which he liked. We also ordered egg rolls which were okay. I'm glad there are non-pork options. The sauce that it comes with isn't very flavorful, and the fish sauce we asked for was salty. The food is pretty good, but it's not my preferred style of Thai food (ex. egg rolls served with nuoc cham, entrees served with jasmine rice). I'll most likely go somewhere else next time that I prefer more.

Yelp
We ordered the green curry. The flavor was good but I didn't care for the eggplant and green peppers in it. It was also very oily and runny. Oil was floating on the top of the curry The papaya salad Thai style was lacking in flavor and did not taste authentic. My husband had an upset stomach all night maybe because of the spice. I understand it's take out so I don't expect fancy but the packaging of the food did not feel professional felt like I brought leftovers home from my mom's. Overall quality was an issue. Not sure if we'll try it again.

Yelp
Primarily a take out establishment but also with a great steam table of about 8 dishes of quick grab and go. There are 2 tables and a bar height countertop for the casual dine in. On's family brings her acclaimed Thai cooking to Highland Park neighborhood. The food is great. Prepared and spiced to your liking. A one dish meal from the steam table is about $10. A true value in today's market.

Yelp
They had our food prepared quickly but the Pad Thai was more soupy and veggies were crunchy. The green curry was also more soupy but the flavor was good.

Yelp
So happy to find an excellent Thai place nearby. We picked up dinner there last night and loved everything. We ordered Yellow Curry w/ chicken, BBQ pork Thai fried rice, chicken satay and cream cheese wontons. All were excellent. Food ingredients are fresh and flavorable. Portions are good sized and cooked to your level of spice preference. It's mostly a takeout place. Employees were very friendly. We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!
