The hotel is absolutely fantastic — in the middle of the fields, not far from the dikes… exactly as described, just fantastic! We had the misfortune of being there when the kitchen was handed over to “pop-up” chefs. Although the food they prepared was outstanding, the service was beyond poor. In the end, we walked out of the restaurant without finishing our meal because the cooks and servers were too busy talking to their friends instead of looking after their guests. So, you’d better book when the hotel’s own chef is in charge if you want to get the best experience when dining there.

We had a wonderful stay at Op Oost, the location is so peaceful with beautiful views across the fields and the gardens were delightful. Our room was a really good size, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was just what we needed. The star of the show is the wonderful people who work here and the incredible breakfasts. Every breakfast was such a great way to start the day and everyone who works here was very friendly and kindly spoke with us in English. I would love to stay again it was a real treat.

We had a very peaceful stay here. The rooms had character, and the locally-sourced, rustic, slow-moving breakfast with dedicated attention in the morning was my personal favorite touch from this hotel.

Fantastic hotel away from the crowds. We come back every year to enjoy the beautiful nature of the island and the tranquility of the hotel. There is an amazing restaurant as well, awarded with a green Michelin star.

The room is to small for two people. No privacy when taking a shower or when washing. No place to put your thing on in the bathroom and no wardrobe to put your things in. If you don't like meats, bacon and tomates or even muesli then you will love this place. Then you can be sure you not get any of these for breakfast. Don't take a shower when the neighbor is showering, the water gets very cold or it's to hot. Nevertheless, have a great holiday.
