Op Oost - Boutique Hotel & Restaurant het Kook Atelier

We had a wonderful stay at Op Oost, the location is so peaceful with beautiful views across the fields and the gardens were delightful. Our room was a really good size, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was just what we needed. The star of the show is the wonderful people who work here and the incredible breakfasts. Every breakfast was such a great way to start the day and everyone who works here was very friendly and kindly spoke with us in English. I would love to stay again it was a real treat.

Fantastic hotel away from the crowds. We come back every year to enjoy the beautiful nature of the island and the tranquility of the hotel. There is an amazing restaurant as well, awarded with a green Michelin star.

The room is to small for two people. No privacy when taking a shower or when washing. No place to put your thing on in the bathroom and no wardrobe to put your things in. If you don't like meats, bacon and tomates or even muesli then you will love this place. Then you can be sure you not get any of these for breakfast. Don't take a shower when the neighbor is showering, the water gets very cold or it's to hot. Nevertheless, have a great holiday.

What a perfect all around experience! The setting is out of a dream, the staff are lovely and the rooms perfect. And the meals were unforgettable. We had an amazing time and just wish we could’ve stayed longer. We will be back!

Op Oost was a beautiful location to stay, even though it was not close to the beach. The rooms are tastefully decorated. All rooms look out onto the garden. Where they grow their own herbs for the restaurant. Service and attentiveness was outstanding. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and they treated you like we were guests in their own home. I would recommend everyone to stay at Op Oost when in Texel!

What an amazing location. Apartments are awesome, service is sublime… what else can we ask for. Also dinner is great which touches all your taste buds and the dishes takes you across the whole island. Staff is friendly and ready to help where needed.

The hotel is recently renovated and looks beautiful, neat and clean. Upon arrival you get a tasty majestic looking naturally made drink which fits the ambiance of the charming nature surrounded garden, where you can pick your own snack-tomatoes and herbs to make tea in your room. Our room looked nice as well even though it was a bit small. The bed didn’t have a headboard and we couldn’t sleep very well because there were a lot of insects in the room. An anti-insect net for the windows would be very beneficial. Only for this reason we wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer than one day. Luckily the breakfast made up for it. We woke up earlier than expected so we wanted te breakfast earlier than we had mentioned but that was no problem at all, the staff is very kind and considerate. All food is locally produced and tastes wonderful! The breakfast was a 10/10 for me, as well as the hotel itself apart from the bugs in the room😁

An amazing experience. From the welcom till the goodbye, the love is felt in everything. Exceptional service, top quallity food and wine and a wonderful room to lay down after all that. Then waking up to an amazing fresh breakfast on your private pattio outside the room. We stayed in one of the three seaweed lodges. A pleasant downstairs with everything you need and a loft with a very comfortable bed. The garden, the surroundings, the silence and all the birdlife make this an amazing escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. I 100% recommend this place for great food, and if you are so lucky an amazing stay.
