The Best Restaurants and Bars at the Mall of America | Eater Twin Cities

"This fast-casual spot serving Greek fare is a great option for a meal that’s hearty enough to fuel a long day at the mall. Make it a platter with grilled souvlaki, herbed rice, roasted potato, salad, and buttery wedges of pita." - Justine Jones

Surprisingly good food for a mall food court! I had the Greek salad with lamb, a piece of baklava, and some falafel — everything was fresh and flavorful. The lamb was juicy, the salad crisp, and the falafel had that perfect crunch. Quick service and friendly staff too. Definitely a solid spot to grab a bite while shopping at Mall of America.

I may be spoiled because of my local gyro joints in my home town, put this place is subpar. I know it mall food, but $18.29 for the pita wrap "feast". 3 oz of salad, 3 oz of fries and 3 oz of protein? A feast it is not. Ordered without tomato, but had tomato. Greens not fresh. No cucs in that tzatziki. Son enjoyed the taste, but we've much better favor, with much more food, for much less cost. +1 food star for a free refill.

I debated where to eat at the Mall of America with so many choices. The owner of Opa! Let us try a sample of a salad. It was incredible! Truly one of the most refreshing yummy salads. I’ve had in a long time. I added some grilled chicken. Customer service was fantastic. You’ve got to come try this place, if you are at Mall of America.

Opa! is located in the third floor in the Mall of America in the food court right by the Jerk King. We love falafel and freek food in general so we had to stop by and check it out. I got their chicken pita with fries, my husband the gyro one and we shared the falafel. We both loved the meat as it was well seasoned and tender. I was watching the guys making the pita right there in the grill, it was very good. Their fries were fresh and also had great seasoning. The falafel was tasty, but the tzatziki was a little too "mayo" like for me. Service was great and since this was our first time at Opa!, staff helped us with their menu and options. This is a nice addition to the MoA and we would dine again here.

Surprisingly good gyro. The pita was sweet and fluffy. Toasted on the flat top grill. The layers of sauce and ingredients kept the whole gyro together. The chicken was well seasoned and moist. The salad was fresh and dressing well balanced. Better gyro than most places I've been to.

Google
Fabulous gluten free meal for an affordable price. The chef was very knowledgeable about what could be made gluten free. Even the fries are safe, with a dedicated fryer. So delicious and fresh tasting, I’ve been craving it since we visited last weekend!

Google
Watched them open a bag of FROZEN FALAFEL and deep-fry it. That told me everything I needed to know. I expected authentic not something that came from the freezer aisle.!

I ordered a gyro meal and it was delicious! The pita bread was fresh and the meat flavor was very good. It came with fries and yogurt sauce. The price was ok compared to the rest of the options there. Totally recommended

Yelp
Honestly, I was surprised how good it was. I got the pita wrap with gyro and I loved it! The pita had crispy parts, the gyro was yummy, sauce was flavorful. Service was fine and quick. It's just at the food court so you order, pay, and go!

Yelp
I was craving some Greek souvlaki so I thought I would try this place while at the mall. First, I thought it was weird that pork wasn't a meat option so I opted for steak. Second, also weird that you only get one meat skewer with any of the options, kind of makes it over priced. What I wanted was the souvlaki and salad meal but with fries instead of salad because I wanted the pita and tzatziki as well. I went back and forth with the cashier because she kept trying to explain what souvlaki was and eventually told me I should just order the bowl with fries. I didn't want to keep discussing it so I did even though it didn't come with the pita I wanted. Not sure why I couldn't sub a salad for fries because she never said I couldn't, she just said I should order other things. The food itself was fine, the steak wasn't over cooked and the tzatziki was okay but the fries were a bit soggy. I would maybe go back, but only because there aren't a ton of Greek options in the cities.

Yelp
Unfortunately this was one of the poorer experiences I had at any of the "fast food" or "fast casual" stops we made at either one of the food court food options at the mall of America. Staff seemed on short tempers, and rather annoyed to be dealing with anything or anyone. I had to ask for the person taking my order to repeat something due to the loud back ground noise from the mall and I got a sigh and one of the cooks ended up speaking up for me to be able to hear. The food was just ok, I ended up not eating much of it in part of not being as hungry as I expected and the experience at the counter. I had been hopeful because I had seen a carving station but everything came out of heated looking containers similar to other places I had seen. Sadly, if we come back to MOA I would end up skipping this location.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. Everything was made fresh to order. I had the chicken pita and the pita was super soft and fluffy. The chicken was on a skewer and made to perfection, mixed in with the perfect amount of sauce and shreddings. The fries were perfect, with fry seasoning that were crispy to perfection. The prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly. Definitely a good choice for people looking for some quick yet good quality food! Would return if I am ever back at the Mall of America.

Yelp
Better than other mall food. Greek salad was yummy. Falafel was ok. Gyro was a bit bland. Still better than expected from the food court

Yelp
This is a new franchise and clearly the owner isn't paying attention. It's a holiday weekend and the hapless kids behind the counter are clueless about what to do. We'll remember that place that had decent food and terrible service for about 20 minutes. Protect your investment.

Yelp
Delicious fresh Greek food at a very reasonable price. Lunch for 2 was $20 and wait was only a few minutes. The pita was packed with fresh veggies and the chicken inside the pita was great. The spinach spanakopita had a lovely strong spinach taste and the pastry was flaky and sooo tasty. Definitely recommend for a fresh fast food option at the mall.

Yelp
Servers were nice. Food was really good. We ordered pita meals and a lamb plate. Everything was cooked properly, portions were good, sauces were spot on. Just overall really good and just what we needed.

Yelp
At the Mall of America and certainly didn't want to eat average food at a chain restaurant. Found Opa and had to have a good gyro and fried calamari!! Was pleasantly surprised. Lamb was tender and veggies were fresh. Tasty gyro on a nicely toasted pita. Calamari was very good as well. Glad we stopped there.

Yelp
Great food. Quick service. Food is fresh considering it's in a mall food court. I like grabbing it on my break in between work. I would definitely recommend if your stopping at the mall and want something other than Chinese food.

Yelp
Awesome Authentic Greek. Family owned and very Friendly. Even though they are located in the Food Court. They are my Favorite Go-To Greek place. I love them.

Yelp
It was delicious. Lamb was tender and flavorful. We got a bowl on fries with all the toppings. Fries were also great! Well worth it - would highly recommend and will go again.

Yelp
Was hoping for a semi-decent gyro, left hungry. Fries weren't horrible. Maybe just used to a different gyro with much thicker tzatziki, though at least the meats on a spit, but watched him pull it out of a bin.
