Everything I've had is amazing. The staff did custom order for me and my co-workers and the food was perfect. Everyone is very friendly with great attitudes.

What a nice hidden Gem, off the beaten path. Wonderful food, great personal service and a relaxed atmosphere. My Wife had been holding out on me until today when she shared this quaint spot. Very reasonable prices and I will definitely return. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a reason why they have been around for fourteen years.

It is a secret for the locals of Bay Harbor. Food is delicious and menu constantly changing to keep you on your toes. It is a small space hidden next to Mister 01 but it is definitely an amazing find. Great service, solid portions and the food is delicious. Locally owned team always there for a great lunch or dinner.

Great little place in Bay Harbor off the main road. Food is always good. They have a daily special and service is wonderful. Only issue is that it is small and seating is tight. Both indoor and outdoor seating but limited. Coffee is good also.

Extremely rude service from this place.. my staff and I felt like such a bother because they gave us a completely raw burger and was upset we wanted a refund? Being a director in Bal Harbour Shops I am disappointed to say the least from a service and food perspective. Will never promote or enter this business again

Had the fish of the day and a burger. Everyone was nice. Food was good, and very close to the hotel. Really liked the fish of the day.

This is a tucked-away jewel! The food is outstanding and I'm not exaggerating! We ate here the day we signed our lease to move to the island and not only was the food great, but the staff and the owner were very friendly! After getting settled in after moving, I ate here again and once again was greeted by the nice staff. I ordered a chicken philly and rosemary roasted potatoes. OMG this was literally the best chicken sandwich I've ever had and my wife raved about the potatoes! I can't wait to try more of their menu!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. In town for a work trip. I decided on the pork belly bao buns. The pork belly was great! The service was also good, the inside is small but they fit 4 tables inside.

I came to Open Kitchen with my coworkers last week for lunch, we were thinking of a place with good food and good prices. We sit outside and our server came right away. It's my second time here, and the second time the same server takes care of our table. I'm not sure if she is the only server but she is so nice, I believe she is from Chile. She brought us some bread, which bread here is delicious! And their house olive oil with infused rosmary which is amazing! Everybody was craving different things so one of my friends got the special which was a Steak Chaufa Rice. I believe the chef is Peruvian or something because they have some Peruvian dishes or ingredients on their menu. The chaufa looked amazing! And portions here are big! My other friend ordered the Salmon Wrap and she loved how they cooked the salmon, it was glistening! She added the roasted potatoes as a side, sadly they don't have any French fries! But the potatoes were good and healthy. My other friend ordered the Poke Bowl and really enjoyed it. She doesn't eat much but devoured the bowl of how good it was! For me, I wanted one of the pasta. So I wanted the creamy sauce from the Orecchiette with the tagliatelle pasta from the Pomodoro and they were so nice to do the change for me! It was delicious!!!! It was a lot of pasta and I ate it all! So creamy, delicious pasta, so so good! Everything was delicious. The only thing why I can't give it 5 stars is for the fact that trash cans were close to the table, not right next to us but next to the other table next to us, and then the trash and there were too many flies. They need to find a solution to this problem because the place is great to eat outside but the flies are an issue and unsanitary. Last time I was there, they had more tables outside but now that the new mister 01 will be opened, they had to reduce the space.

Not 5 star this time. The salad dressing for the Caesar salad was lousy, better to opt for the vinaigrette dressing (yes, even for a Caesar salad!). And, the chicken Philadelphia sandwich is a greasy, cheese and fat ladden hot panni, not at all what I was expecting.

Had the best lunch at Open Kitchen in Bay Harbor. I was looking for something healthy and was so happy with my Salmon, Mango and Quinoa salad which was incredibly fresh, light and delicious. They also had amazing pastas and everything on the menu is top notch and interesting. The outdoor area is relaxing and a super place for lunch with friends. Enough cannot be said about the hospitality of owner Ines Chattas who attended to our every want and need. Love this place!!!!! Go!

After a few visits, my opinion has drastically changed. One night, I ordered from their Thursday night dinner menu. I ordered beef short ribs. I had to throw them out because they were inedible. Today, I was without a car so I walked over to pick up lunch. They had a beef stew special. It consisted of minuscule cubes of beef with frozen green beans and a large serving of white rice. It was neither stew or delicious. This is my last visit.

So amazing! Fresh , delicious & fabulous. Staff super nice too! I would be a regular here if I lived in the area. Highly recommend.

I love everything about this place! Stopped by today during a visit to my old neighborhood and they did not disappoint! I had the Luca salad but all the food is made with care and is delicious! Free parking right out front, stop by, you will be glad you did!

Great quality food and superb service consistently no matter when you go. Burgers, fish, pasta and salads are awesome. Desserts and medialunas as well.

Great experience whenever I go. The owner is so personable and is always so happy to see me. LOL Little things like that make me want to come back. They have wonderful specials for everyday of the week.

This is a hidden gem. Has around three inside tables and four or five yesterday, they also do pick up. Everything is fresh and healthy, and reasonably priced. The servers are very friendly, and want to know you and make you a regular. And once you have their fresh lemonade, you want to become one. They have regular and normally do a really cool and unique flavor of the day. I ordered their chicken sandwich, with Brie and a tomato confit. Incredible. The bread was delicious and they didn't skimp on any of the innards. The service is a little slow, as it's a small kitchen, so if in a rush be careful what you order.

I always feel like family when I arrive. The food selections on the board make my mouth water with ever changing options. The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy. Always, always consistent and delicious! Highly recommended!

One take out meal is all I needed to know that this place and the people running it is something special. Every item (roasted chicken/ w side salad, Broccoli Soup, spinach empanada, and apple tart(!!!) were literally as good as they could possibly have been, at least to my delicate palate. Extremely pleased to have them in my new hood, it will take a while to get thru their fairly extensive menu especially with daily specials; but I will.

I heard good things from neighbors and decided to try it. I got turkey meatloaf sandwiches as takeout and they were excellent! The bread was so fresh and lightly toasted. The meatloaf was full of flavor. I definitely look forward to another visit. The daily specials are especially a good value. I'm sorry I devoured it before I could take a picture.

Everything here is fresh & homemade and sooo delicious. I'm always so impressed with whatever I order and the owner / staff are so nice it makes it enjoyable to go back. Absolutely love this place !! Best pear raviolis - must try. Fresh watermelon juice is so good too. I love everything.

Open during the week for lunch and on Thursday nights for dinner too . OPEN KITCHEN is definitely a gem you must add to the list. We went on a Thursday night and not only had a delicious dinner but a great time, the service was on point and the food "well need I say more is to die for ". The drunken pig is pineapple and pork belly blended together perfectly, the Corvina fish I had was delicious along with a great wine and to end a fabulous crème brûlée dessert and expresso Go for lunch. Come back for dinner.

I'm usually loathe to write reviews of my favorite spots for fear they will become overrun, but I know this is a place that really cares about it's quality - Chef Ines will always make sure it's up to par. My husband gets lunch from here regularly and we come for dinner on Thursdays. I have never had anything here that was not perfect. The crispy spinach appetizer is to die for. Ditto the rice balls with fontina inside that I had last time (they were like arancini but had a different name). Last time I also had the mussels and was blown away. I drank the sauce with a spoon it was so good. Hubby had a steak he said was outstanding. The food here is always fresh, beautifully prepared and plated. Open Kitchen also has a solid wine menu that is reasonably priced. It is very very small, but that's part of what I love about it! Thanks Ines!!

I ordered a Bruschetta with avocado. While eating the bruschetta it had a very strong taste that made me even tear up, it was probably the vinegar. After eating it my teeth were hurting and my tongue was burning. Once I got home my mother realized I smelled really bad because of the vinegar. A day later I still smell like vinegar even though i brushed my teeth had coffee and had other meals. Also, my tongue still feels like burning. I don't know if they put the whole bottle of vinegar or they mixed it with something else but it felt like I was taking acid.

Really nice place and friendly staff. Have gotten sandwiches and omelets, very good, but their coffee Latte is perfect for me, surpasses Starbucks! Just got a place on the island and nice to know I can walk to this little homey restaurant!

We love getting our lunch once or twice a week from them. The food is tasty and always fresh. I wish they open on weekends because we like it so much!

Outstanding! We went there for dinner was amazing , steak cooked to perfection very soft and super flavorful! We also got the fish , very fresh and flavorful! Nice atmosphere... the pasta was delicious with a white sauce .... very yummy! Everything was fresh and well thought out with edge ! The lemonade was a great refreshment ! For desert we had the lava cake .. no complains on anything we ordered ! Everything cooked as ordered very fresh and well presented! Staff super friendly and sweet !

Yesterday was our first time eating at Open Kitchen. My friend and I decided to have a late lunch there. The restaurant is very small. Menus and utensils are on the tables and the daily specials are listed on a large chalk board which is hanging on the wall. The people who work there are super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the daily special pasta which was orecchiette with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, My friend had the roasted chicken with sweet potatoes. My dish looked great but the pasta was undercooked. I would have been happy with al dente, but not crunchy. I told our server who took it back. A short time later she returned with a new plate. The food was good. The orecchiette had a nice sauce. My friend enjoyed his chicken and sweet potatoes. He said the chicken was cooked perfectly but he felt the serving should have been larger. Open Kitchen is a cute little neighborhood restaurant with friendly service and good food.

Great little place for lunch . They also do catering . Their fish is always fresh and cooked so good . ( make sure to check for fresh fish of the day) pastas are hand made and always fresh . Sauces are very flavorful and light. Make sure to try their desserts because they are made in house and very fresh . Every day they have different sweets ;-)

Always fresh and always good. Must try: PBLT (pork belly, lettuce, tomato) Sandwich and the Endive Salad The lunch crowd mainly consists of regulars (myself being one of them).. so expect to be treated like family or a neighbor. The set menu is delicious and the changing daily soup, quiche, pasta, and fish specials keep things different. If you have room, try the variety of sweet treats or homemade ice cream they offer. Also order some of their quality coffee or espresso.

Open Kitchen is a quaint, familial café eatery in which to enjoy great food and the company of fantastic people. The proprietors make you feel like family. And the food is fresh, homemade, and a worthwhile treat. You can even take cooking lessons there, with Chef Sandra. They focus on sourcing locally and have a plethora of delectable goodies, like daily unique, inventive flavors of homemade ice cream. They also endeavor to support other local businesses as can be seen in the uncommon assortment of beers they offer from microbreweries in Florida. A great place with a wonderful independent spirit.

We went here for lunch on a weekday, great, clean, flavorful food, I had the salmon, easily could have split the plate, wonderful, the fresh mint iced tea was great, and desert was wonderful, they also prepare family size meals to take out, which is a nice touch. Friendly, accommodating, the owner offered to move a table outside for us, when all of the outside tables were taken, next trip back we are definitely eating here again.

My lunch was delicious and refreshing as is this new eatery. The menu with chicken liver mousse, sweet and sour eggplant dip, A PBLT sandwich (porkbelly, lettuce,tomato on multigrain ) and Balsamic tomato braised short ribs are just some of the highlights. The menu has nibblers, homemade soups, entrees, sandwiches & wraps, along with Family -Style take aways that will have you coming back AGAIN & AGAIN. Open from 11am - 6pm Stop by for a friendly smile and after you eat, you'll tell everyone just like I did. Chef holds cooking classes and offers wine pairing multi course dinners.

Had a morning meeting in BHI and missed breakfast so I dropped in here by chance (I was actually looking for another place). My natural lack of navigational skills led to this happy discovery. This place is SPOTLESS. The staff is very attentive and interested in your opinion (not that I usually volunteer it anywhere other than Yelp). Danielle, who whipped up my coffee made it with a such passion that I thought she must have no other duties. She, in fact waited on the tables that were seated subsequent to me without any lapse in personal attention. I ordered the cheddar & bacon quiche which was so fluffy and favorable, I almost ordered a second. This place is a gem; If I lived nearby, I could see myself as a fixture. Highly recommend!

Holier-than-thou attitudes reign supreme at this overpriced snobbery in Bal Harbor. The food is just okay.

I took a cooking class at Open Kitchen, There was a group of seven people. I only came with one other person so it was a great way to meet new people. The class itself was GREAT the cook is AMAZING and the whole set up is great. It was a great experience overall. Once we were done cooking we all sat down together and drank good wine and ate the food we had just cooked. It was great and I would most defiantly reccommend this, would especially be fun for a group of friends because everyone already knows eachother!!

Had lunch today and the service was super friendly and the food was very nice. I tried the mint lemonade which was very refreshing a beef and cheese sandwich that came with a side of salad and an incredible flour less chocolate cake. All I can say is I will be back!

Great food overall. Some portions are a little small, but the food is fresh and excellent. I highly recommend their fish wrap. Also, their lemonade is fantastic.

Twelve of us enjoyed a wonderful wine pairing dinner last evening created by Chef Sandra and hosted by her partner Ines. It was well worth braving the flooded streets from TS Andrea. A great time was had by all.

The service is the worst, the person in charge of serving customers is extremely disrespectful and has no values, ethics or education at all. She is so disrespectful every time and shouldn't be attending customers if she doesn't know how to provide a professional service. It's a shame because the food is so delicious. I'd love to bring my family, friends & co-workers but energy is everything and It's impossible to enjoy this amazing little gem with such a rotten soul there taking care of every single customer! Such a negative energy every time, what a shame. I took the time to call the store in order to speak with the manager since the waitress was so rude, but she was the one who picked up... when I asked to speak with the manager she made up any excuse, so I let her know that the food is unbelievable but the service is absolutely terrible. She had the nerve to call me back and threatened me because she had my phone saved.... ! That's not something you can play around with. She crossed the line, it is not only disrespectful but also, extremely unprofessional. Also, the fact that she called back threatening is harassment. I should have called the cops. Next time, I won't allow to be treated that way. Ines, I hope you dan hear this, understand it and do something about it. It is your business that's losing customers because of her unprofessionalism.
