The 38 Best Restaurants in Bangkok, Thailand | Eater

"Think of this market as your go-to Thai food wonderland. Apart from a fresh produce section, the space also features cooked food and desserts you can try in the open-air food court. For central Thai cuisine, line up at the Samran Gaeng Thai stall, and follow up with a bowl of shaved ice. Other highlights include cooked seafood, pork satay, fresh durian, and mangoes." - Chawadee Nualkhair

Haven't been here in a long time. Still maintained very well and clean. Food, fruits display is top notch. Has also a place to eat. No Aircon though, only open air.

You can reach this market easily by MRT subway stopping at Kamphaeng Phet station, take exit No. 3 and voila.. you are in the market! I stunned by how complete this market to support local daily activities. My aim is its street food, it operates daily from 6am to 8pm. Found a moo ping stall, with only 15Thb you will get a big fat pork satay, delicious. But I won't recommend to buy watermelon juice at those big stall sells all kind of beverages. For 30Thb it's too sweet that too much sugar. I certainly will come back for snack at J-jan counter. I couldn't tell the name of the snack (kinda cookies filled with shrimp paste), but it is written "homemade rotee", kind of "dry pastel" in my country. For 175Thb a pouch, about 1kg. Friendly seller, too. There is another competitor of the snack, I can't tell the name of the counter as it is written in Thai, slightly higher price at 200Thb, same quality. Which one better, you choose. Fruits, everywhere in this market, good price, good quality, fresh. I loved how they sell it ready to eat, peeled in pieces. Btw, toilet is clean, 5Thb per person. Definitely will visit again.

An area for farmers to showcase and sell their products. On the pricier side compared to other thai markets but the quality is there. Food is tasty with lots of options and there’s clothes as well as fruits and vegetables. Recommend visiting on a sunday!

Or Tor Kor is the mother, father, grand father, grand mother, great grandad and great grand mum of all food and produce markets in Thailand. Sure, it’s a bit pricier and more touristy than other wet markets across the Kingdom, but it can’t be beat for quality, cleanliness, space, and diversity of produce and food offered. The range of food offered at the hawker stalls is also impressive. It’s also easy to access (via subway or Skytrain) and provides the best A to Z showcase of Thai cuisine and ingredients that I can think of. A must visit for food lovers and chefs and is better than ever these days.

Went here for lunch to avoid the exponential food prices at CTC. Local hawker centre with many food options, ready your Google translate though. Dishes like crispy pork rice, wonton, crab meat noodles, fried rice (the whole gamut) and pad Thai were amongst MANY other things. Saw an economy rice type deal around the area and it was like . a whole bag of pig’s trotters for just 100 baht like. a steal. I got the fried pork rice that was REMARKABLY GOOD omg the wok hey taste 😭😭😭 the pad Thai was pretty decent too. Each for only 60 baht, compared to the 200 at CTC. 35 baht for made from Thai milk tea too. Thai dessert store nearby had us going back with at least 7 desserts and market place was loaded with good deals?! They had a giant box of jackfruit going for 100 and I bought hakka chive kuehs that were great for snacking.

There as so many good quality vendors at this market. And it is much more reasonably priced than many others, and higher quality. We had some fresh squeezed beet and passionfruit juice and a wonderful sticky rice cooked in a young coconut.

I found the sweetest coconut juice here, the cheapest too, compared to the ones in the city center. It is a good place to find food you can bring home to your friends and also fresh fruits to take back to your hotel. Not all are sweet and top quality. That is why you have to take advantage of the free taste to find the type of fruits you prefer. It is also not difficult to find cooked meals here. There is also a branch of Banana Rama located here.

Yes this is a bit more pricey than other markets, but it’s worth it! Much cleaner than the other markets and you can get free tasting to all vendors before buying.
