Ora et Labora Wine Shop and Vinum Lounge Event Space

I discovered Ora et Labora through their classes and have taken two now, planning to take more! I love the atmosphere, wine selection, and they have a great membership program as well that's very approachable. Their cheese selection is from Cowbell and delicious to pair with a wine flight and they have gluten free crackers available (my spouse is celiac). Looking forward to visiting more this year and recommend stopping in and/or signing up for a class!

Wine is GREAT, atmosphere is GREAT, etc etc but Dave and Brent are awesome, so dedicated to their trade! I could have talked to them all night. For what it’s worth the salted normandy butter might be better than the Eem food down the street.

We had an amazing experience during our accidental discovery visit. Boy am I glad we stopped in! Dave was kind and approachable and made perfect recommendations. We tried wines from all over Europe as well as local wines. I learned a few new things in our short visit and am looking forward to retuning and trying out a class or two! They also have an event space that was beautiful too!

I've come here often and it's always a fantastic experience! The owner is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making each visit feel personal and enjoyable. my wife and i had our last minute micro wedding here, and everyone involved could not have been more accommodating. the owners and staff alike made us feel so comfortable on our big day and set us up for an excellent celebration!! their wine selections were thoughtful of our budget and our menu, and the charcuterie was so delicious!

David & Sarah were absolutely epic hosts. They were SO easy to work and plan with and everything went 100% to plan. The venue is absolutely adorable and I'm already looking for an excuse to host another asap! Definitely consider them/this venue if you're hosting a private event!

Popped into Ora et Labora while waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant, and I'm so glad we did. This is a lovely wine bar, with countless options to appeal to anyone. You can enjoy a bottle or a single glass, and I very much appreciated their "mystery wines" - a slightly cheaper glass of a white or red variety that the som just felt like pouring. We had great conversation with the som as he recommended different pours and just chatted about the Portland / PNW wine scene with us. You could tell he truly loved what he did! After grabbing our preferred glasses, we explored the shop and ventured to their outdoor space. The backyard is spacious enough, and during our visit, they were hosting a party of sorts with some folks grilling, some folks pouring, and a hunk of cheese and other charcuterie hanging out for enjoyment. We tried some of the wines they were pouring, which was unexpected but a nice touch to this quick visit. This was the perfect spot for a quick drink to kill some time, and I would recommend it for any wine lovers visiting Portland - the options are seemingly endless!

Williams is where it is at ~ top notch restaurants, bars and now a wine lounge! Inside ~ impressive bottle collection on the wall, upscale comfort in design to chill in. Friendly & knowledgeable owners & staff to guide what your mood is in the taste for. Events, classes, music. Awesome addition to this neighborhood.

Super Duper sweet couple that runs this joint. Personable, upbeat, and willing to chat and answer questions about their space. They support local, which is amazing, and the options that they have for wines is just impressive. You can do a wine flight, have a glass, or purchase a bottle. Checking out the bathroom wallpaper is totally worth a stop in! It's just beautiful. I've heard they are going to have some sort of music every other month or so. Check them out and enjoy this new wine shop.

The wines are fantastic, the hospitality is top notch, and I can't wait to go back! I came for a wine class and left with more knowledge, but more importantly a deeper love for the word of winemaking.

I came here with my boyfriend to do a wine tasting and it was phenomenal! The employees were super knowledgeable and the sparking wines were incredible. We had a great time trying wines from all over the world!

This is lovely wine shop that is new to the North Williams block and I couldn't be happier about this new addition. Owners, Sarah and David, offer an intimate experience and top notch customer service. They have a wine tasting menu that rotates weekly along with a diverse selection of wines that will not disappoint. Plus, just look at this aesthetic background to sip your wine to. 10/10 would highly recommend a visit!

I absolutely loved my experience! The owner was very knowledgeable, and helped me pick out a wine that helped me to win second place at my blind wine tasting. I would definitely recommend checking this place out! I will definitely be back.

One of my favorite places in portland. I live around the corner so have ended up becoming somewhat of a regular here; it's a great place to buy a bottle or to sit down and taste wine. The owners love educating people on wine and there is zero level of pretentiousness that you may find at other wine shops or wineries in general. Perhaps a random note, but definitely get their bread and butter if you're looking for a snack with your white wine

Beautiful wine shop with an excellent selection. Perfect for grabbing a glass and taking a bottle home with you. We are regulars and also hosted a birthday party there and all of our guests raved about it!

This place is a gem! Wonderful ambiance, welcoming owners as they meet you at the level of engagement you want. The wine selection is impressive. They are exceptionally knowledgeable about wine in the most approachable way. This place is a must and our new favorite place to pop in for a glass or bring home some bottles.

You always hope you will find this kind of wine shop, where you walk in, say 4 words you know about wine, they hand you a bottle at a reasonable price, and you get exactly what you wanted.

I've attended three of their wine tasting classes and have enjoyed them very much. Dave is a great presenter and very knowledgeable. They also have a great selection of win with fair prices. I will keep coming back!

Very helpful, no pretense. Awesome shop! I was in town for a conference and wanted to take a bottle of a local wine back home for a friend. Would definitely visit again!!!
