Ora Wine bar

A nice wine bar with good easy-drinking wines and friendly staff. We came in just in time for Wednesday’s trivia night, which made for a fun friendly atmosphere! We had the empanada ($8) which was ok. Overall nice pre-dinner place!

Stumbled into this place by accident. They serve amazing empanadas and few but excellent wine selection. The vibe is perfect for a romantic date night out (especially to end it).

I recently hosted my birthday party here and everyone had a fantastic time! Sabrina and team were super welcoming and ran everything so smoothly. We did a flexible set-up with a minimum charged for wine & charcuterie and then cash bar after that, which is ideal for this type of event. This is a great event space for ~20-40 people, would highly recommend!

I had an amazing time at Ora. The crew is fantastic and will make sure you have the time of your life ! The selection of wine and beer is unique combined with an atmosphere that will make you welcome and want to have fun with folks with many different backgrounds, interests. it's all around the best bar I've been in SF. Ora is one of my favorite wine bars in the city. It’s the perfect place to discover new wines while listening to a chill & soothing French playlist. The owner is super friendly as well.

Owner is super friendly, gracious, and genuinely sweet. This was our 1st time here and there was an open mic night that was cute with a bunch of gen Z comics. If you love a relaxed casual atmosphere come check out Ora.

Walked in and was met with a charming wine bar on Polk street that still has an aesthetic feel. Enjoyed the fun light fixtures and hanging neon banana a lot for the funky vibes. Tried a white wine and a natural wine here. The day was winding down so service was a bit slower, but totally makes sense because it was late and everyone was definitely starting to wrap up. Enjoyed my experience! Will definitely be back and hopefully get to try some bites as the kitchen was closed when I visited.

Ora is not your typical wine bar. It is the most friendly wine place. Own by a fun and creative woman. If you are in the area don't miss this place to have a chat with locals!

Ora is a new addition to Polk and unlike any other wine bar I have ever been to, speakeasy meets chic. The ambiance is laidback offering indoor bar and table seating as well as outdoor, high table seating. Proof of vaccination is checked upon arrival. The menu is expansive consisting of reds, whites, bubbly's, ciders, beers and bites. I am a huge cider enthusiast, and got the galipette; it was delicious. Service was on the slow end, which is totally understandable as there was only one employee, but they were so kind and helpful. Overall, a great experience and my new go-to wine bar in the area.

Wanted to check out this spot since it opened fairly recently. The sign says they open at 5pm though it was disappointing when I arrived around 5:15pm and they were closed. Came back around 7pm and they were open. The space is dimly lit and decorated colorful neon lights. They have board games available, seems like it would be a fun spot to hang out with friends. Seems like the other customers know each other pretty well. Looked like there was only one staff member working so took a little while to get our order. Drink recommendations were great, would want to come try the other things on the menu.

TL;DR - great wine bar! I went here to support a friend's friend's art opening and also get a tarot card reading from Jessie. How fun is that? We grabbed a few drinks - they're all around $12-16 for a glass of wine. That's pretty average if you think about how much a cocktail typically is. Bottles were around $40-65 too. That's terrible. I got an Albariño and champagne too. We also got a bottle of rose as well. Overall very well-lit spot and love that they got art from local artist.

This cozy little wine bar has a delightful variety of interesting wines by both the bottle and the glass. Sabrina can make an excellent recommendation and knows her varietals! Such a sweetheart. The Wednesday wine deals are amazing and Tuesday trivia is always a fun time. The rotating gallery supports local artists and there always something new to look at. And taste! Totally a hidden gem on Polk!

Sabrina makes this space feel like home. Warm, welcome, excellent service. Great vibes and a fun crowd.

If you're looking for a wine bar, this has a very limited wine menu; service was not particularly great. Ambiance felt more dive-y (might work for you depending on your preference). Probably not a return.

Seriously?? If there are loads of people at the bar and you're closed, could you just flip the sign or must you be arses to people opening the door? Sad that the wine bar closest to my apartment is run by such sods. Welcome to the nabe. If you want to not be treated like garbage, go to any of several wine bars on Polk, e.g., Amelie or Lopo. But if it's indifference at best that's your jam, this is your spot!

A few friends and I were looking for a a chill place for a few nice glasses of wine and stumbled upon Ora. The place is lovely and the ice wine delicious. The staff is super friendly too. We'll definitely be back

Amazing wine selection; I even discovered wines that sublimated me with tremendous appetizers & cheese boards and a welcoming & smiling staff that makes you want to stay even after the closure. Staff will teach you all about the wine (they are in love with good wine). Excellent service and beautiful space. In short, a place that deserves to be known. We definitely be back!

Was one of the few lucky to be at Ora when it opened its door for the first time few days ago. The place is so welcoming, wine has been carefully picked after 2 years of wine tasting/lockdown. But if wine s not your thing, the bathroom and the hosts are by themselves worth it... I do love a nice bathroom. Super excited for the many amazing evenings ahead

So cute , intimate, sweet. Awesome wine selection! The couple one star reviews are SO not on point. When you get to know the owners a little more its beyond clear how much love they pour into this place while dealing w life- losses, running a family, and this kind of business. My hats off to you !!

I love to support local owned businesses, but this was super sub-par. I would have to recommend you to take your date elsewhere if you want to impress anyone. Service was lacking, mannerism was poor, and experience was not expected. While this is a new bar, if you want to survive I'm this climate, this is not going to cut it. I dot. Expect this place to last more than 6 months at this rate. Save your time and headache and go to a few other options: 1. Amelie 2. Nook 3. Casa Muese 4. Winery Collective 5. San Francisco Wine Society This location also seems very lax with COVID restrictions. I'm surprised the department of public health hasn't shut this place down yet. ///Response 1. First time at ORA and was pleasantly surprised. You can tell it's one of those neighborhood wine bar where everyone knows each other. Definitely will be coming here with my date(s).

This bar is really cute. Great drink list - drank 2 glasses of white wine. The music is not too loud - always a plus. Met nice people coming from all around the world.

My wife and I were excited to check this place out when we heard about it opening around the block for us. When we got there, we fell in love with the charm of the place. A lot of unexpected, phenomenal international wines (try the Nebbiolo!!!). Definitely give this place a shot!

Fantastic new wine bar in a busy restaurant area on Polk street in San Francisco. This sexy new designer spot is stocked with a wide variety of interesting out of the ordinary wines and craft beers and has nooks for chatting or tables for groups. The vibe is upscale casual with a neighborhood crowd. It's a great place to catch up with a friend or wind down solo with the stellar staff. Bring your bestie, besties.

Brand new wine bar in SF! Yes! After a crazy year, I'm so happy that this neighborhood gem opened. Great wine selection, good prices and beautiful decor. The owners (Sabrina and Patrick) are the best and will make you feel at home. See you this weekend! Salud.

I wish I can give 10 stars for this amazing place . This Place has been one of my favorite place the weekend . We feel like home . Service is great and the wine selection is gorgeous. I highly recommend this place specially if you like to help new businesses.

We checked out a great new little European style wine bar that's both cozy and glam. Great friendly staff and awesome wine menu that's truly from around the globe. I think this would be great place to hangout with friends at the bar or high tables as well as a great place to take a date.
