Orange Bakery - Review - Burien - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This greenery-filled cafe and bakery in Burien makes desserts like banana cream tarts, beignets, and cookies, along with coffee drinks that include a churro oat milk latte. If savory stuff is more your speed, they have focaccia sandwiches, breakfast biscuits, and shakshuka. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Google
I found Orange Bakery while driving through Burien and decided to stop by early Saturday morning around 8 a.m. It’s a new bakery — open for about a month — with convenient parking right in front and other small shops nearby. The place felt bright, clean, and welcoming. The lady who seemed to be the owner greeted us warmly with a big smile. We ordered the Buttermilk Biscuit Sandwich, Biscuits and Gravy, and two coffees. The price is also very reasonable. We sat by the window where the morning light streamed in — such a pleasant spot. More and more people kept coming in, some dining in, others picking up to go. The buttermilk biscuits were absolutely delicious — soft, flaky, and flavorful. The sandwich was filled with cheese and a thick egg, perfectly balanced. My husband really enjoyed his biscuits and gravy as well. The side potatoes were soft and comforting — they made us smile. We both left completely satisfied and already talking about what to try next time. We’ll definitely be back soon!

What a nice find! I live in West Seattle (no shortage of a great bakeries), happened to be in Burien where I stumbled across Orange Bakery. It’s a somewhat discrete location in a strip mall, spotted it while driving by, and decided to check it out. Sure glad I did! Ordered shakshuka (talk about a rare breakfast find)- it was incredibly tasty and flavorful, and came with a delicious focaccia bread. Decided to get a few items to go, OMG…crazy good. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. This is one of those places where it’s obvious much attention goes into every baked good (cakes, breads, scones ) and their prepared dishes (soups, omelets, sandwiches), ensuring every patron has a delightful experience. Oh, their King County restaurant rating is excellent. Will def return soon!

This is definitely a hidden gem. The BLT focaccia, the mocha coffee, the biscuit and the cake were outstanding. Better than those at downtown. The price is reasonable. The atmosphere and service were cozy.

It was amazing. The French toast was really good. You can tell it's not store bought bread. I love this place. My new favorite 😍. Sorry for the half way eaten French toast. Couldn't help my self...

The Orange Bakery just reopened in Burien so I stopped by this morning for breakfast (fyi they are open on Sundays). The owner was so warm and friendly. The spot is really cozy, food was healthy and tasty, coffee was excellent. Tasted like home cooking at its best!

Google
This is a small cute café in downtown Burien. They make custom cakes and they also do larger catering orders of all types. There’s a lot of unique foods to order here that are both sweet and savory. It’s such a peaceful and fresh café to just get a cuppa coffee and hang out or get work done.

This place is a delight! Cute interior and great menu. The biscuit BLT was delicious and the biscuit holds its own. Coffee also very good. Looking forward to trying some of their sweet treats.

We had breakfast, food and lattes were really good, very fresh vegetables. The owner and employees are so happy and welcoming. We just had to get some cheesecake after breakfast, it was amazing.

Yelp
It makes me sorta sad to write this review. Why, because I really wanted to like it! We went last month and I had a fabulous latte. Today we went for lunch, disappointed. We waited over 20mins for our food. My husband had the shakshuka, he enjoyed it. I ordered the TURKEY focaccia sandwich after reading the paper menu (not the menu on the tv monitor) that was handed to us when we sat, and seeing that it did not have bacon. I also ordered an iced almond milk hazelnut latte it was great! Finally, a vanilla chocolate chip bread to go. My disappointments: the sandwich had bacon on it, and the focaccia was dry and hard (definitely not fresh) it crumbled in my hand. The vanilla chocolate chip bread was stale and horribly hard!!! I can't believe they would touch it and decide to serve it anyway. Your a bakery and your baked products are stale???????!!!!! As much as I enjoyed the coffee I won't be coming back.

Yelp
Came here for the first time and the food was AMAZING as was the latte. It's a very cute little cafe and it's obvious that the people working there put care into every action. They were friendly and quick! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Excellent biscuits! I went in to try them out and will definitely return. The biscuit sandwich was very good (though I wish there was a cheese option other than American). I don't know what I was expecting for the side potatoes, but I was pleasantly surprised with cut red and purple new potatoes. The coconut cake passed my test, too. The cake had a very nice crumb, fresh whipped cream. There were several loaf cakes - coffee cake, orange, two I can't now recall. I tried the orange. Moist, orangey, iced. Yum. Finally, a pineapple empanada. Oh, man. They should be making pies with crust like this. I'm not a fan of most bakery pies. I guess it's hard make a good mass-produced crust. These little babies alone are worth the trip. The staff could not have been nicer. Clean, cute dining room.

Yelp
Just grabbed my coffee and my loaf at my new local bakery. I love that they open nice and early. This churro coffee is one of my faves. And all their bakery items have been delicious. Can't wait to try out their other items. It's the perfect on my way to work Go to! The inside is also comfy and play a great music playlist. Wonderful customer service too!

Yelp
We ate breakfast at Orange Bakery with our two kids and it was delicious. Highly recommend anything that comes with a biscuit as well as the layered cake. Fresh and amazing attention to all the ingredients that are served within a dish! The service friendly & quick and the atmosphere is cozy & warm. Look forward to our next visit to Burien for a bite!
