I used to live a few blocks away from this local restaurant, and had had a bad experience, so when my friend wanted to have lunch here, I was a bit hesitant. But my experience this time was absolutely wonderful. Great local restaurant with excellent food, combination of Mediterranean Greek and other staples. Atmosphere is bright and cheerful, clean and inviting. The staff was cheerful and attentive, and Harry, our server, was particularly upbeat and had the right mix of checking in on us without intruding on our conversation. In addition to a bar and dining room there was a porch area for a little bit of an “outdoor“ dining experience. We started out with a little freshly baked bread, olive oil with spices and salt, the bread was flaky and light with wonderful flavor and the olive oil was fresh. I had the Mediterranean salad with lamb and it was exceptional. Great flavor, nicely presented, and plenty of it. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

2nd time here, and it is soo good! Greek restaurant in Norfolk. Wonderful indoor space. Great outdoor space. Wonderful beer, wine, and cocktail list. The food menu is very nice. Hannah, the bartender, is so friendly. Nice ambiance and nice vibe. Definitely will be back.

Orapax is for Mediterranean food lovers, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The chef’s specials, like the succulent lamb leg with a crisp Greek salad, deliver outstanding flavor. With a vast menu, there’s something for every palate. The clean, spacious restaurant has ample seating, great hospitality, and lively music that elevates the dining experience. Convenient street parking seals the deal. A must-visit!

Google
After a recommendation from a friend we tried Orapax yesterday and I can see why it was recommended! This place is AMAZINGGG! I love Greek/Mediterranean food but this place makes me want to try everything on the menu (even things I wouldnt normally try)! The atmosphere EXCELLENT, Staff/Service EXCELLENT, Food ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR!! We had a long time to relax before an event and let our waitress Alissa know we were not in a rush and she was so kind and checked in on us the perfect amount and gave us space when needed & ensured we had a relaxing experience. She helped guide us on questions we had about different food options and just really added to our nice evening - Thank you Alissa! I have already been thinking about when I can come back! Jealous of anyone that lives close and goes often, because this would be a once a week at minimum for me if I lived close! Thank you Orapax for the wonderful evening!

First time visiting here. I wish I had known about the gem a long time ago. The lamb was on point as was the atmosphere and the employees. Family friendly and recommend 100%

Just stopped in as I knew I didn't feel like cooking and didn't want to sit in traffic perfect spot to wait out some tunnel traffic. Ordered the wings just with the seasoning and a margarita pizza. The wings had good favor with the seasoning. The pizza was good I did think the tomatoes would have been larger to make it easier for me to pick off, as most margarita pizzas have large pieces of tomatoes. But food is always good here and they offer a wide variety of choices.

From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere at Orapax set the stage for a great lunch! The food was exceptional, with the Greek sampler, gyro burger, and baklava all perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Our server, Hailey, was attentive and knowledgeable, making our experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

My wife saw amazing reviews about this place so we figured we would try it. We ordered 2 gyros Greek sampler a pizza and the Greek salmon. We were very excited but overall the food was not that great it wasn’t bad but not amazing the biggest problem we had was with the Greek chicken pita which when I took a bite of it at home realized the chicken was still raw see the photos. Overall paying $100+ dollars for a meal I had high hopes but I’ve had better Greek food at a food truck for $9. Would never come back here if you’re charging premium cost I’m good with that but at least make sure the food is fully cooked we just hope we don’t get food poisoning from raw chicken

Yelp
Orapax in the Chelsea District of Norfolk is a hidden gem, right on the corner in a cozy neighborhood. When you walk in, there's an incredible amount of space, and it feels warm and welcoming. We sat in the bar area at the high top tables near the window. We were greeted quickly by our friendly waitress. To start, I ordered a glass of red wine, and we couldn't resist ordering the wings and the Greek sampler. Both were phenomenal. The sampler is the perfect way to get a true taste of authentic Greek flavors. It featured the pastitsio, spanakopita, dolmades, gyro meat, hummus, feta, tzatziki, pita, and tyropita. Each bite was packed with so much flavor. The spanakopita was a standout, perfectly flaky! And the hummus was smooth, creamy, and definitely homemade. The char-broiled wings, seasoned with a signature blend of Greek herbs, were hands down some of the best I've ever had. For my dinner, I went with a classic Greek salad topped with gyro meat. I have to admit, my phone didn't get to eat before I dove in this time, but it was worth it. This may just be my favorite Greek salad in all of Hampton Roads. The salad is a blend of spring mix and iceberg, with crisp tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, red onions, plus pepperoncini, kalamata olives, and plenty of feta, topped off with tender gyro meat. I'm already thinking about the next time I can go and get this! We didn't get dessert, but the menu looked tasty. I will definitely be trying the baklava during my next visit.

Yelp
Always great! I generally come for dinner but this time I popped in for a weekday lunch. We were immediately seated and our server was prompt and friendly. They have a section in the menu for Lunch Specials so I opted for the 6-inch one topping pizza with the small Greek salad + bread. It was the perfect portion for me while also allowing me to still bring home 2 slices of the pizza. My Dad opted for the lunch Fried Flounder which he said was delicious. It consisted of 3 pieces of flounder and plenty of fries. He had enough to take a box home with one piece of flounder and fries. My husband had his favorite Pegasus Wings and a small Greek Salad. The restaurant certainly filled in while we were there. They always seem to be pretty busy and can handle it well. If you haven't been....GO! So many great options including a good Vegan menu.

Yelp
It was time for a late lunch. Searching my bookmarks for a restaurant in Ghent that I wanted to try, I immediately chose Orapax. It was close and featured my beloved Greek comfort food. Located deep inside what we consider Ghent, the neighborhood actually deems itself Chelsea. Sitting at the corner of Redgate & Orapax Street, the location is near the Elizabeth River Trail & the massive Norfolk Southern Railway tracks. Over the years the family owned business, founded in 1966, has expanded into the large restaurant it is today. Street parking is available. But my suspicion is that it's a local walking favorite in the high density neighborhood. Walking into the restaurant you feel the history. Walls are lined with early pictures from both the restaurant & founders past. It's difficult to restrain from a walk around the different sections of the restaurant to step back in time. There is a large dining room & a separate section with a bar and another dining room, which faces the bar area. We were seated immediately and presented with a large menu. Searching through the menu for my favorite, I saw that there was something for everyone's taste. The menu reminded me of those offered by New York diners and my favorite Greek restaurant in Queens. Finding a Lunch Section of the menu that included my favorite, I asked our server if we could order immediately since the end of the Lunch Menu timing was 5 minutes away. My eating schedule certainly wouldn't have accommodated a Dinner sized meal that early in the day. Our server pleasantly accommodated. Our order came out promptly. A slice of my favorite comfort food, Spinach Pie (Spanakopita) was presented with a small amount of Steamed Broccoli & and an Orange Slice. It was the perfect luncheon portion. Spinach Pie is always awesome. I was disappointed that the crust on their made in house pie was a smooth style, rather than the flaky homemade crust I love at my favorite Greek Restaurant in Astoria. But I guess it's just a personal preference. Flaky crust Spinach Pie has been my comfort food for decades. Orapax will remain one of my lunchtime restaurant options when in the neighborhood.

Yelp
A nice restaurant in a cute neighborhood. Several seating areas with two large bars, few TVs and an outdoor patio that had the plastic, removable walls for inclement weather. The restaurant was clean, our server was very friendly, but it did take a while for our soups to come out for our first course. We arrived after the lunch promotional time and just before the happy hour. We were able to take our time and order a few happy our specials. The food was pretty flavorful and fresh. The lemon chicken and rice soup was good, but I prefer the broth version over the thick and creamy version that was served here. Best Greek salad and dressing!

Yelp
Had a fantastic experience here, for an after-graduation celebration lunch. Visited on a Saturday after graduation, so there were quite a number of medium and large sized groups. However, we only had to wait about 15 minutes. Impressive menu, and an extensive vegan menu, as well. We were thrilled to see that there was even a happy hour menu on a Saturday at midday. Service was great, in spite of how busy they were. Food and drinks were delicious! The only critique was that, with a party of six, we had lots of dirty dishes on the table. No waitstaff seemed interested in removing them until we finally asked them to. Aside from that, it was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Ok a cool vibe. Slammed so it has a huge following. Apparently this has a huge following from long time locals. I get that what I didn't get was great Greek food Sorry but our pita was stale everything tasted a bit under seasoned and lacked a good cook My wife enjoyed her grain bowl but kept reaching for the salt. I sent back my leg of lamb as it didn't taste good at all. The sampler was ok but not great. The gyro meat was tough the hummus was good and tziki was good the stuffed grape leaves was not very flavorful. The servers were good and it was packed and they were attentive. This brings me pause as I should give it another visit but I would need help on what to order.

Yelp
Delicious Greek and Mediterranean food! My mom and I stopped by for a late lunch and were not disappointed. Named for the street it resides on, Orapax has been a Greek staple of the community since its opening in 1966. I've dined here for both lunch and dinner--the main dining area was quiet for this time of day, and we were seated in the bar area with a nice airy feel, but if you come in the evening prepare to wait! The service was great, and I look forward to dining here again.

Yelp
Orapax is a staple in Norfolk that has been consistently delicious for decades. Greek anything is a reasonable choice in my book. We absolutely loved the Greek salad and lamb served several ways. There's something for everyone even vegetarians can enjoy hummus and other beautiful options that are fresh locally sourced when possible and very high-quality, the atmosphere is really welcoming with attentive staff and a very enjoyable ambiance.

Yelp
This place is great! I can't believe it took me so long to visit. The food was great and the service was excellent!! They have a sampler which was great for those who want to try various Greek cuisine. I also liked the Orapax wings. The grilled salmon was delicious. A friend tried the Loukoumades, which she said were light and delicious. They have really great wine selection - I believe the one I tried was a Sangiovese red. It was perfect for the meal. They have lots of seating and the decor is lovely. I can't wait to go back and try something else.

Yelp
The Orapax Restaurant and Bar was the perfect place for a late afternoon lunch. We were seated immediately and began to look at their extensive menu. My Friend and I both chose from their lunch menu and ordered Spanakopita which was perfectly prepared. The decor was very interesting. The Orapax dates back to 1966 and the photos that line the walls tells their story.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place but it just didn't meet the mark. The drinks were wonderful but the food was okay. We ended up ordering another set of pizza because the first one wasn't good and the second we ordered was okay (and it was a Margherita). The rosemary fries was the only food item we enjoyed. The service was great though, he took care of us promptly and met our needs and wants. The place was decorated with super cute ambient light!

Yelp
Many years ago we loved eating at Orapax, but then we moved out of the area. So today was our first opportunity to see if they were still as good. The results were... mixed. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but the decor is nice. Today, we were immediately seated and our orders quickly taken. My wife ordered the Mousaka and I ordered the Lamb Shank. They provided sour dough bread and oil which was delicious. Unfortunately the salads (which were very good) were served just moments before the main courses arrived which was pretty poor timing. The Lamb Shank was hot, tender and tasty, as were the sides of carrots and zucchini. However the bed of Couscous was pretty dry. Unfortunately, my wife found the Mousaka to be... inedible. I sampled it and agreed that it did not taste like any Mousaka I have ever had. I can understand a restaurant having their own "take" on a classic dish, but Orapax's Mousaka is that dish in name only. We told the waitress and she took it away but they still charged us full price for it which was very surprising. Other restaurants normally don't charge for a meal that the customer literally can't eat. Though my dish was quite good, the fact that my wife's was so poor, along with the bad timing of the main course arriving literally on top of the salad is what led me to reluctantly give Orapax a lower rating. That, coupled with their location, will keep us looking for another Greek restaurant option.

Yelp
Visited Orapax for the first time for a corporate team dinner and was very impressed! Loved how warm and welcoming the ambiance was and the small lights on the table made it very easy to see the menu. There was a few minutes left for Happy Hour (Happy Hour ends at 6!) and I ordered the Rosemary fries, a half dozen of Pegasus wings (they were so good!) and a small Greek salad. For the size of our party, all of the food arrived in a timely manner and was perfect- the tempeture was great, serving size was great. No complaints at all. To wrap up the night, I finished with a warm brownie sundae topped with vanilla ice cream with drizzled caramel and chocolate syrup. 10/10. I found a new hidden gem!

Yelp
Orapax seems to be a local favorite. I guess people don't set their standards super high? We came here on a Wednesday night and put our name in at 6:30 and were told it would be a 20-30 minute wait. We weren't seated for an hour. The hostess was very friendly, the waitress I think was having an off day. I guess it was a busier night than usual. I ordered the sangria sunrise (white) and my friend also got a drink. The waitress brought out a red sangria and then immediately knew she brought the wrong drink. It happens. She promptly corrected it and brought the right one within about 5 minutes. I got the gyro and think it was supposed to be a mix of beef and lamb. It was just lamb but the consistency was kinda weird. The lemon potatoes were hard as a rock. I didn't really have the patience at that point to send them back. Too hungry. This place isn't close enough to me to want to return.

Yelp
I am rating our dine in service. We came in during happy hour and ordered some cocktails. They were good and I would order again. We tried the gyro egg rolls which were pretty good- they had a unique flavor and seasoning. We got the gyro burger as our main course and were a little disappointed. The burger was teeny tiny (it barely even took up the radius of the bun), tasted burnt, and wasn't anything special. I was bummed about that. We got the lokumada for dessert and were disappointed. Having just gotten back from Greece we were excited to have these again but their version is NOT authentic, poorly made. They tasted more like pizza dough balls versus a sweet treat. I wouldn't recommend those. I'd also like to comment on their glassware. A lot of their glassware both on the tables and brought to us looked cloudy and sometimes dirty. I'd like to see these polished or cleaned better. No customer wants to be questioning if their glass is clean or used. They have small parking lot next to the restaurant.

Yelp
Fantastic Greek restaurant. It's Friday a little after 2 PM and we decided to try it out based on a friend's recommendation. We sat down at the bar and received terrific service. We ordered a couple of the Greek wines on draft. Both good. Our sampler platter had enough for the two of us. We each finished with one each of their 6 inch pizzas made to our individual orders. It's listed as a sports bar, but it's much more than that. It has a large variety of local draft beers. It is huge with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is available in the rear of the building with some handicap spots. This will become our go to when we're seeking Greek food.

Yelp
Wow! Very pleasant spot for an appetizer and drink!! It's been over a decade since I last visited and I gotta tell you that they haven't skipped a beat! Still cozy and comfy atmosphere with the same quality service with a smile!! I got the orapax wings (pegasus style). Super delicious charbroiled; best I've ever had in this style! Egg rolls were decent but I should have gotten the rosemary fries! Oh well, I'll get them next time. Chai Old Fashion (not pictured) was also a hit! Next visit- wings again and rosemary fries!!

Yelp
This was my first time to Orapax. And it was pure perfection. Absolutely perfect. The food was amazing--and this is coming from a vegan. All too often, when I go out with friends, we end up at a restaurant with a lot of food for them and salad and water for me; not at Orapax Restaurant and Bar. The ENTIRE back of the menu was full of vegan options. I'm not talking a carrot stick and lettuce either. There were sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, and the list goes on and on. I had this "chik'n" sandwich with vegan tzatziki sauce (yes, even the Tzatziki sauce is vegan here). One bite of that flavor explosion made me want to cry. It isn't just "good"; like Tony the Tiger says...it's GREEAAAATTTT! Needless to say, I will be back.

Yelp
Just go! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The atmosphere was beautiful and calming, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff made the entire experience even better with their kindness and attentiveness. I'm already planning my next visit!

Yelp
I've heard so many great things about Orapax over the years, and I finally had the chance to experience it myself! My husband and I went with some friends on a Saturday night. As expected, it was busy--especially with an ODU football game happening that evening--but we were seated within 20 minutes, which was reasonable. The atmosphere was lively, vibrant, and fun, though it did get quite loud at times, making it a little hard to enjoy conversation. We started with a dozen Pegasus-style wings, and they were absolutely incredible--packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. For my entrée, I went with the grain bowl topped with gyro meat. The portion was huge (as I'd been warned), but it was fresh, flavorful, filling, and surprisingly light. Great value for the price! Our server was nice but could have been more attentive--we had to ask for things a couple of times. However, it didn't overshadow the experience too much. Overall, Orapax lives up to its reputation. Delicious food, generous portions, and a vibrant atmosphere make it a spot worth visiting.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this spot when looking for a good meal at the end of a long travel day. They did not disappoint! They had lots of vegan options that all looked super good. I settled on the vegan chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The bread they served at the start was a take it or leave it thing for me, but my nephews seemed to enjoy it. My mother had the pasta with chicken and red sauce and my nephews had the kids sliders. She loved the pasta and the boys enjoyed their burgers although the buns did not match the size of the patties. The buns were much bigger. Service was great and the vibe gave family restaurant with a slight bar feel. I would go back to try some of the other vegan options and drinks for sure!

Yelp
Great authentic Greek food! I have been coming here for 37 years and it is still fantastic. Service was attentive and friendly, on a Saturday night it was busy but not overcrowded.

Yelp
We filled up on some herbaceous plates here. I recommend the hummus, fried calamari, chicken shawarma bowl, and lamb meatball pasta, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We paired our meal with a velvety vinho tinto. Established in 1966 and now run by its third generation of family owners, this restaurant is local gem. Beautiful string lights and festive decorations adorned the inside and made it a great place to have a holiday meal with family. Service was fast and friendly making the meal that much more enjoyable.
google avatar

Yelp
I recently tried this restaurant for lunch in Norfolk. I got the herb marinated chicken with mixed veggies and the cookie dessert. I really liked the seasoning on the chicken, but the veggies were pretty bland. It tastes like they only had butter on them. The entree was good, however I did not think it was worth the price. The dessert was a little too rare in my opinion with the center inside being completely raw. I liked the flavor though. The waiter spent most of his time at the bar and it felt like we had to try and catch him for refills, placing the dessert order, and the check. Service was a slow overall, but nice atmosphere.

Yelp
We've come to Orapax several times since we moved here in September 2022. We've never been blown away, but we'll come back because it's a nice and easy spot to meet up with friends and bring our guests. FOOD: I recently tried the gyro plate, and my favorite was the rice lol. They give you an option to have a side salad and that was pretty tasty. SERVICE: I ate in the bar area the first two times I came, and the service isn't great here. I feel like they forgot about you. This last time we got a proper table and got better service. LOCATION: The location itself is absolutely charming! I wish there were more spots in this neighborhood; it feels safe, quaint, and quiet. The restaurant has some parking spots, but I usually don't have trouble finding parking on the street. The inside is very family-friendly - accommodating for large groups or just perfect for a date night. Will I come back? I always do, they have a large enough menu that I try something different each time I come back.

Yelp
The Orapax Restaurant is an institution in Norfolk. I've been coming here since I was a kid and the food has always been really good. I stopped by recently for lunch with one of my colleagues and he had never been here. We shared the pegasus wings and they were delicious. The Greek Salad is a large portion and certainly enough to split. Our server was very prompt, helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our experience here and I'm already planning my next visit.

Yelp
Nine of us came to eat today at Orapax & all of us were very pleased. The food was delish & our Server, Isaac was fantastic. He was very kind patient & very easy to work with. I noticed all the Servers, including Isaac, worked very hard, but made it look so easy. So thank you Isaac for such good service.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch experience here from start to finish. The service was quick and helpful, and the menu is easy to read. I got the soup and salad lunch special, and it was incredible! Really one of the best Greek salads I've had, me and my son devoured it. The lentil soup and pita was delicious as well, so much flavor- and so much heat! My kids got the pizza and fries, and both were outstanding. Really I couldn't have asked for higher quality. And for lunch prices, you can't beat it! Now I just want to come back and try more of the menu, I bet it's all great.

Yelp
Great food, good service. It was supper busy but over all they got us in at a decent time. The ambiance was good as well. Great spot for a date night. Parking was a menace but worth the walk.

Yelp
I love Orapax! The staff is always friendly, service is quick, and the food is delicious. Avgolemono is one of my favorite soups. I try it at every Greek restaurant that has it, and Orapax has the best I've had. The tzatziki is flavorful and creamy. Everything is absolutely delicious. I recommend the gyro platter, but you won't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Yelp
This is a very nice restaurant. Lovely decor, nice furnishings, pleasant and helpful folks work there. The food is good; salads and soups and potato sides. The gyro is pretty good, had plenty of meat, but had a bit too much lettuce for my taste. Like a gyro salad in a pita. Would love to go back and try the souvlaki. Also saw a flaming cheese appetizer that looks interesting.

Yelp
Food was good and delivered quickly. Hannah was our server, and she did a nice job and checking on us without being annoying.

Yelp
Very busy at lunchtime on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I'm *so* glad that we had reservations! (Minimum party of 8.) I had to call for reservations because Google reservations was not getting through. Lunch was served at a nice easy pace, perhaps because the kitchen was so busy, but we didn't feel neglected at all. It was well worth the wait. Everything was delicious. We had the Pegasus wings, flaming Saganaki cheese, dolmades, Manitari pasta with marinara and Karpathos chicken, gyro platter, Moussaka, Avgolemono soup, and Pastitsio. What a feast! My wife is a trained chef and a very demanding diner but she was quite pleased and complimented the food, finding it to be far better seasoned than the "fine dining" establishment we patronized a few nights ago. Excellent selection of draft beers and wines available. Good coffee, too! Our only regret was the baklava, because the filo was tough. (Maybe it was warmed in a microwave?) If we lived closer, I'd be here "every week for my Greek."
google avatar

Khushbu G.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Loved the Greek bread and dipping sauce, non-alcoholic blackberry lemonade fizzy drink. The avgolemono soup hit the spot on a dreary day and the gyro platter had huge portions! Can't wait to go back! Service was fantastic!

Yelp
This was actually one of the first place I tried when I moved to the 757 area and it blew me away. Tucked away in a beautiful corner between downtown Norfolk and Ghent, Orapax has a lively and vibrant atmosphere that attracts anyone that passes by! There is both indoor and outdoor seating and it is right on the Elizabeth river trail. There is parking around the restaurant as well as street parking, but sometimes on the weekends it gets really crowded so you may have to park a block away at another parking lot, but it is still free. This is an amazing place to host parties or big gatherings (definitely make a reservation in advance for bigger groups). There are a lot of options for both lunch and dinner, as well as vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Surprisingly, the pizza is one of my favorites, even though this place is not an Italian restaurant. I also love getting their vegetarian sampler with all the different dips to share as well as the spanakopita for lunch. If you want something just for yourself they have amazing bowls and wraps that you can get but I definitely recommend coming here for dinner with a group of friends that are ready to share food! I will always be down to come back here. The service is awesome and everyone is really nice. The food also comes out pretty quickly which is a plus!

Yelp
This place was recommended by some colleagues and it really did not disappoint. The wait staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The food tasted fresh mostly except my pita bread wasn't that warm but other than that very appetizing. The stars of the show for me were the Greek egg rolls and the Loukoumades dessert! The interior and grounds were kept polished and inviting I would definitely return!

Yelp
Went here to celebrate Mothers Day and it was the perfect spot to do so! Lots of great choices on the menu varying from pizza, wings, seafood, club wrap sandwhiches, burgers, etc.m Because it was Mothers Day the restaraunt was pretty busy - however it did not feel like it was busy. Servers were very attentive and fast. Our orders were tooken and placed quickly. Food came out in a timely manner. The ambiance of the restaraunt was beautiful. Very spacious, nice seating areas as well as a bar.

Yelp
I was tasked with making a reservation of 20+ only given a days notice and I gave Orapax a call and they DELIVERED. The staff was more than accommodating for my party and were happy to have us. When we came, we had 2 more people more than expected and the staff did everything they could to accommodate. Their staff is so great. The food was amazing! I started off with the blackberry lemon refresher and it was so tangy and refreshing! We also tried the mimosa flight (lavender, mango, blood orange and orange) and they were pretty strong but still so tasty! The sweetest and my favorite in my opinion was the mango! We shared the calamari and rosemary fries as appetizer. The calamari was lightly breaded and was cooked very well. The rosemary fries were thinly cut and delicious. I got the Chicken Manitari for my entree and it was a pretty hefty portion. It was super creamy and garlicky, I loved it! The chicken was a little over cooked but the pasta definitely balanced it out well. The ambiance was pretty casual. It was really busy!! We came on Friday night so that was expected. It was also pretty loud given it was so busy so kind of hard to hear people when they talk. Overall I loved this place! Shoutout to the staff who went above and beyond to take care of our large party. I'd recommend to anyone with large parties or anyone who loves GOOD Mediterranean food!

Yelp
The food choices are great! A wide menu from pizza to hummus. By the way their hummus is fantastic! One of the best I have ever tasted. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The restaurant is big and it can fill up quickly. What an icon in Norfolk. Highly recommended for a great dinner!

Yelp
It's been several years since I have returned back here, this visit didn't disappoint. I remember always coming and the place was nearly empty- not now, especially on a Saturday night. Food did not disappoint - we wished the portion of the Pastisio and veggie sides were larger, but the Shawarma Bowl was massive! Service was on the slow side but we didn't mind it was we were trying to enjoy a date night without the kiddos.

Yelp
Really good food! Rough night for service. Didn't feel like my table got the same attention to detail as other tables in our section, not sure why. Appetizers and entrees all came out at the same time which was a little overwhelming. Really nice flavors though. Really enjoyed the chicken and pastitsio. Wonton chicken pizza was AWESOME! Would try again for hopefully better service and would def wait for a table inside next time. The vibes inside are very cool and the flies outside are a lot

Yelp
I really love Mediterranean cuisine. Orapax did not disappoint. It is large enough for group to intimate dining experiences. The decor is warm and very welcoming. The service is very friendly and attentive. This must be a local favourite. There were a nice amount of people here for lunch. Unheard it's a great place for dinner too! I came in for a business lunch. Service was fast and efficient. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl. It was presented very nicely on the plate. Very nice portion, and also very tasty. Parking could be a bit of a challenge, but there are spots. You my have to walk a block or two. Trust me, it's worth it. Overall, a really nice visit and experience. I can't wait to come back. Give Orapax a visit if your in Norfolk.

Yelp
Omg what a phenomenal find!! Just flew in and happened upon this restaurant with such an extensive vegan menu and great atmosphere. Wish they weren't completely booked for Valentine's Day so I could come again tomorrow!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with a very decent vegan menu. Most Greek restaurants scoff at the idea of a meal without meat, but not orapax. Theres a reason they have been around for so long. They have a growth-mindset and are very inclusive. We loved it.
