Great music with live DJs spinning vinyl at night in an intimate bar with nice booths. Once a month live music. Growing in popularity so a bit more crowded.

Did you enjoy the period of time for this part of brooklyn from 2009- 2016? Cool, this place exists in a time warp and still has those exact vibes. Good for all night or hopping and popping down grand street. Tip your bartenders. RIP to diamond bar.

Google
This is a real comfortable dive bar. Straightforward, great drinks, cool bartender and a really interesting outdoor shack. The roof is off slanted. Never seen another like it anywhere in the city. I had a couple of frozen drinks for $10 each. Laid back, chill spot, perfect for a group hang out. NBD. Enjoy

Google
dope location that comes off as a dive bar with not just a great beer selection but it's doesn't reek like beer inside. the sour i had was delicious. and on thursdays they have a burger pop up which are spectacular.

Google
Low key unpretentious vibe. Nice backyard. Don't expect the widest selection of drinks, but enough to get you going- expect the basics- Although this is one of the few bars I know sells Underberg!

Experience here really depends on what bartender is working. Have had two issues with a particular bartender, and won't be going back. First time they flat out ignored me, I was standing at the bar waiting to order and they were just chatting with a friend the whole time and even glanced over in my direction a few times. I stood there like an idiot for like 10 mins then just left. There was noone else waiting. Second time I had to go out of my way to engage them and they just acted like they were over the whole interaction, made it clear they weren't pleased to be dealing with me. All of the other bartenders are great, have always had a good time if anyone else is working, but I'm tired of rolling the dice with this place, so I'm not going back. (just a note that both of these interactions were in September of 2023, so I'm not even sure if the same bartender is there at this point) To respond to the owner's question: I can't remember what day of the week I was there, bartender was a short guy with a shaved head and moustache if i remember correctly. I updated my rating to 4 stars, every other bartender there has been great and I love your bar in general.

Google
Cool spot. Great staff. Quality Films. It is brick outside today on Thor's Day, but it would prob still be warm in their outside guzzling area. So go pop in and get tipsy. Call the guy. There were many shots to drink, and an Irish woman with short hair made me laugh. Somebody gave us a pizza, it was big and full of pepperoni but the mystery pizza remained uneaten. MK Ultra flashbacks, you can never be too careful. Friendly folks and a constant stream of randoms. The bartender was very cool. They prob have food, but that wasn't my mission. Chug a lug.

Google
Bartender with the blue hair and tattoos is terrible. Poor customer service skills as soon as we walked through the door. She had an attitude… Then has the nerve to give me a cocktail in a plastic cup when everyone else has it in a glass. On top of that, the drink taste terrible. She poured the drink from the plastic cup to a glass and gave it back. I had to tell her to make the drink better but all she did was add another shot of tequila. The drink tasted worst after that bc it was all alcohol. She needs lessons on how to do what shes being paid to do because obviously shes not good at it. Never coming back here again! Thanks for nothing lady!

Google
One of my biggest hang ups in nyc is the bartender customer service. Yet another hipster bar where it’s too cool to show good customer service (aka pretending you care even slightly). Seriously tho nothing turns me off more than an apathetic bartender with zero personality. You don’t have to like me but you should still treat customers like... well, customers!

Yelp
What a fun time I had in my 40 min here. Stopped in before seeing a show at The Meadows and maybe should have just stayed. Friendly folks at the bar, Ryan the bartender and I hit it off with our northern New England sayings and he made a nice Negroni. Cute space and while we couldn't watch the football game, I appreciate the old movies. showing. Had never been in that area on my trips from Boston but lots of cool stuff to check out.

Yelp
Awesome and fun bar still open during covid times. They have an adorable and heated outdoor area. Cool bartenders and great DJ's. They were doing a rad pop up flea market with food and more on the weekends but I think it might be on a winter weather hiatus. I feel like this place is never crowded yet I always see someone I know. Just a really special neighborhood bar.

Yelp
Used to come here all the time. Always had a great night... once was with my best friend and that night she met her current husband. Four years later they have two kids and a back yard. Anyway, I'm here to talk about my recent experience last night. The menu advertises Frozen... which is a proprietary, non-alcoholic grapefruit frozen slushy base to which the user is allowed to add his/her/their preferred alcohol. This particular evening I ordered a frozen with mezcal, and asked for a floater. The bartender responded with a slack jawed look of confusion and asked me to explain. I guess he didn't understand the concept of adding a shot of alcohol to a non-alcoholic frozen drink to make it a normal frozen alcoholic beverage (the product offering), and then adding a floater on top. Left feeling uncomfortable and similarly confused as the bartender as to why he was working there. Ore... not!

Yelp
First and foremost, this bar is right up my alley! Oldies music with obscure scifi movies playing in the background-sign me up!! Drinks-more than fairly priced for the area (lived in NYC for 16 years and to still get wine in Williamsburg for under 15 is *chefs kiss*. One and only complaint. Whoever works Sunday bar with the stupid fucking mustache. He let a girl get SEVERELY harassed by a regular- long story short she stood behind this man, just wanted to close her tab, and the fully grown, adult male, in front of her aggressively accused her of getting in his space. She tried to hold her own and play the aggression off as a joke for her own sanity, but she got so uncomfortable she left. The bartender seems incredibly annoyed that anyone would dare ask him for a drink while he was tryin to flirt with one person. Even when we asked for our check and tipped him 35% for 3 bottles and 1wine we felt a burden but he happily made cocktails for the people he seemed to know. Longest story ever short-great bar, great drinks- fire the Sunday mustache Asshole he's a dick for and good for NOTHING.

Yelp
Guh....I really hate to tell the world about my favorite little hiding spot but I sense the secret will be out sooner than later. Ore Bar. It's the place I come to hide in a corner, watch kung fu movies, drink amazing, crafty, pricey beer, chat with the bartender and NOT bump into anyone I know. It's my safe place. It just happen to become that place. But since, my friend DJ'd here a couple weeks ago...it's only a matter of time before the cat is out of the bag. Don't get me wrong. The crowd gets wild here late at night. I come for happy hour and attempt to leave before it's crazy. Most of the time I am successful. The first time I came, it was a Friday. Dan was my bartender. (turns out he is also a talented musician and singer from local band "Honey") . https://honeynyc.bandcamp.com/releases There were Charles Bronson flicks on back to back. They were projected on the projector screen against the large wall in the back. From the outside this place looks like divey, old man spot, It is not. It's actually very clean and spacious and I didn't see anyone over 40. There is also a nice little patio in the back. Perfect for the summer or the smoking crowd. I have returned many, many more times. Honorable Beer Mention: Cigar City Jai Alai IPA Only Food is Zapp's Chips: $2 Cajun Dill Gator Tators= A MUST (Thanks to the random girls who shared said chips with me one night. I never said I didn't talk to people) Also check out Sage a few doors down to see Ky and David. Fridays are a fun night on this block.

Yelp
The bartenders are 12 year olds and amateurs. I was there to enjoy THREE amazing DJ friends, and the second time my half full drink got removed from the bar I followed it and told the bartender she should stop taking half full drinks, just to be yelled at and accused of trying to get free drinks. Utterly insulting and unprofessional. Hire real bartenders, Ore Bar!

Emily C.

Yelp
Stopped in after work for drinks with coworkers. Sat outside in the very spacious covered area out front. Cocktails were great, vibe 10/10. Will be back!

Yelp
Would give this place 0 if possible. I entered the bar and received a cold stare from the bar tender. Instead of being greeted like a person about to patron this cool looking bar; I was asked "ask you dining in"? No intro, no masked smile. Very stiff and unwelcoming bar tender who worked Memorial Day eve 2021. The food smells amazing here but I would never recommend my loved ones to this place. I'd hate for them to experience the unwanted energy I did.

Jasmine F.

Yelp
Bartender has no concept of customer service. When asked for recommendations of drinks, she rolled her eyes. Very unprofessional. Very standoffish. On the other hand, the guy making pizzas was great. Don't expect even a mediocre experience from this bar. It's not worth it. Don't come here !!

Yelp
Hmm. Maybe if you only are interested in the beers that they have on tap should this place be considered. However, if you're like me and enjoy a nice and sometimes basic cocktail, this place may not work out. The bartender was nice enough and the beer options seemed sufficient, so cool points for that. However, the place was pretty empty and dreary on a weekday night as well. My experience went like this: Me: Can I get a vodka cranberry? Bartender: Sorry. I ran out of cranberry. Friend: Can you make a dark n' stormy? Bartender: Sorry we don't keep ginger beer on hand. Friend: Can I get a pineapple and tequila? Bartender: Sorry, I ran out of pineapple juice. Me: .....Clearly having a drink on a Monday night is not in the cards for us.

Yelp

Yelp
Cool place - cool bartenders and good happy hour deals. Nice backyard and a nice aalto vibe (lighting is incredible).

Yelp
I finally had time to check this bar. They didn't have juice, not even Orange juice! Ugg ! So what makes this a 4 stars place? Is a very reserved, quiet and intimate place. The place that not to many know about, the perfect place to bring one of those forbidden loves, because no one will think of checking this place out if they are looking for you. The bar space is really nice and clean with booth style tables, my favorites. My friend had a drink and she loved it. The crowd is pleasant and beautiful.

Yelp
Ore Bar NY BK North Williamsburg 9pm Wednesday 7th September 2016 Four Stars Ore is a cool bar at the edge of Northern Williamsburg. Inside has a bar and several booths. Outside there is "garden" which is a narrow alley around the building littered with cigarette butts and 6 two top tables. The music was a mix of 90s hip hop and RnB. Drinks: Baby Beer are $5 and Pints are $7. They have $10 cocktails: Negroni, Dark N Stormy, and Paloma. $4 Coors. The Negroni was batched served in a thin rocks glass with small ice cubes.

Yelp
Amazing vibes (especially w that sweet projector set up), adorable little back yard, great and affordable (!!!) drinks which are rare in that neighborhood, plus perfect sweet baby angel bartenders Natalia and Maria I got big crushes on both of them and we gonna get married xoxo

Bac M.

Yelp
The ambience the music the vibe it's all amazing no TVs with news or idiotic rigged sports love this place my favorite new find

Yelp
I love this place, clean, simple design but well thought out. They have 1 good beer, which in this setting is enough for me. Cocktails, well my wife ordered a margarita and to say the least, it was "divey" at best. Other then that we love it and hope it doesn't get too busy too quickly.

Yelp
I went to Ore Bar last Friday for the first time and boy o boy let me tell you it was great. Great atmosphere, great music, they were showing Scrooged on the big projector screen, and the salad bar is the number one best salad bar in Brooklyn, maybe all of New York. I also ordered the coconut shrimp with green curry and couscous with orange tempanan pork rice balls and it blew my mind. They have two for one Bud Light Lime every Friday so I'm renaming this bar heaven. My Grinder date ordered a cocktail and I'm not into Tiki drinks but his scorpion bowl was delicious. After we got done throwing darts I started flirting with the mega hot blonde bartender Dave and afterwards I found out from a friend he is in a hard rock and roll band called Agave! I will definitely be back!

Rainbow M.

Yelp
My favorite neighborhood bar. Bartenders are the perfect balance of cool and friendly. Great drink selection for cheap (especially for the neighborhood). Love the vibe, the movies, the music. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great addition to the neighborhood! Rumor has it they'll be serving food and finishing off the backyard area shortly. See photos for drink list as of 05.25.13.

Yelp
I come here almost every Monday with co-workers after work. This place is just so cool in its simplicity. Its dark and intimate, the music is kept low, if any at all. the bartenders are friendly and always welcoming a conversation. you'd miss it if you didn't know it was there. that's what makes it so great. it doesn't try hard to get your attention! it knows that once you've come here, you'll keep coming back. Thats why we keep coming back over and over and over lol cheers! see you guys on monday!

Yelp
Ore bar is so cozy and great. The bartender, a sweet ogre named Brett, even ran next door to grab me a coffee...which he then spiked for my pleasure
google avatar

Noah N.

Yelp
I like Ore Bar. The atmosphere is somehow very inviting yet simple. Staff in my experience is always very friendly- male or female, and the drinks are nice. I do believe their happy hour or "drink specials" are highly limited and it would be great if they'd do more towards budget-friendly options.
google avatar

Dave J.

Yelp
The photos don't do this place justice. Great spot. They're starting to have DJ's here. Awesome cocktails like the Paloma. A must try.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful interior, has A/c and relaxed backyard. Nice place to chill and the bartender is chill and friendly. Good beer as well!
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Nice addition to the neighborhood. Quaint bar covered in wood panelling and decent drinks. No signage except for chalk board sign.
google avatar

R. J.

Yelp
Great place to bring a date (especially if you are ugly). Wouldn't want to hold up an ultraviolet light to the seat cushions. It's VERY dark in here.
google avatar

Jenna M.

Yelp
It's got 11 reviews, but it's got a million good vibes. Dave Johnny just kills it. I especially like the Paloma and potato chips and playlist.
google avatar

Fidel C.

Yelp
I have 3 bars I hit up on Graham. This one is my favorite. Nice selection on beers, beautiful comfy interior, and nice knowledgable bartenders. The booths are just a bonus to this cozy spot.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
This new bar just opened in the old Sweet Ups space. The interior looks great - very chill and relaxed vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
The perfect watering hole. Finally, a place with great cocktails in the neighborhood! The backyard is ace too. Drinks I recommend- The Dark and Stormy and the Earl Grey Gin and Tonic.
google avatar

Jeanne C.

Yelp
Nice digs, cool, calm just like your mom. Sazerac was made terribly and served with a shit ton of ice for some reason but my gimlet was legit since she followed the instructions. Bartender and bar are new so I guess they're on a learning curve~ Either way, nice ambiance, plentiful seating and the place made for good conversation. Tiny outdoor seating area...quite charming. Worth stopping by!

Maggie K.

Yelp
Any drink I wanted magically ran out before 10 PM. The bartender was in la la land and kept spilling the drink he was making for me. Tasted bad. I think there was a crowd here because they had a good happy hour deal. I believe it was $5 well drinks between 6 and 8 PM ($7 during regular hours).
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
My jury is still out for Ore Bar. It's dark and is unusually empty whenever a friend an I stop in during happy hour (6-8PM) on weekdays. Pretty limited beer selection and their dilapidated backyard is cramped and uncomfortable.
google avatar

George M.

Yelp
cool atmosphere, good drinks, the patio is fun, and i love it when they play movies on their big screen tv.
google avatar

Janosz P.

Yelp
They played The Trend while we saw next to candles. I felt like I was at home with Vigo
google avatar

Arielle G.

Yelp
nice little place! good vibes, fake fireplace projection on the wall is a cute touch in the winter months.

Pablo H.

Yelp
I used to like this place, it feels intimate and nice. Also it is right accross from my apartment. Nevertheless I went last night (Tuesday December 9th) with two friends and the bartender was the most INSULTING bartender I ever found in a bar. When she gave the last call we ordered the last round of beers. From that moment she just started to be in a rush to kick us out, and instead of letting us know that she wanted to close, she used an extremely ironic tone to interrupt our conversation and made it very personal. Her only job is to serve the customers, not to judge them and laugh at them through a very childish sarcasm. She really was offensive. I´ve been working as a server for five years and I understand how annoying it is when you have to wait for the last customers to finish their drinks, but the way she handled it was upsetting. The owner should guide her on how to talk to people.
