"Founded in 1993 in the village of Tolcsva thanks to Spanish investment from the Álvarez family, I consider Oremus one of Tokaj's most compelling modern expressions: the Álvarez involvement elevated the estate's standards toward those of Vega Sicilia, and under the meticulous stewardship of András Bacsó Jr (building on the legacy of András Bacsó Sr) the estate spans some 90 ha of magnificent slopes with mineral-rich subsoil. I was struck by the breathtaking cellars with multiple tunnels beneath the winemaking facility, and by Bacsó Sr's hands-on experimentation with culinary pairings — for example, Aszú with foie gras enhanced by apricot or candied quince and a touch of fresh or marinated ginger." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

We are from California and have been to many wine regions all over the world, and this is one of the most unique and impressive wine tours we have been on. Many of the wine makers in the region only speak Hungarian, but Panka spoke excellent English so we were able to understand the very informative wine tour. She walked us through the history, winery processing plant in detail, fermentation room, and finally the cellars below ground - some of the most beautiful in the Tokaj region. She was an excellent guide, answered all of our questions and gave us ample time to take photos. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this tour to everyone.

We had a wonderful dégustation/ visit in that place. We were lucky to find the guide available when we arrived and she was kind enough to provide a tour right away. She is very knowledgeable about the all history of the winery but also about the wine, grapes and processing itself. We had all our questions properly answered. The wine itself is of great quality. Truly a marvelous experience. Norbert was an amazing guide, very informative, kind and genuinely fun. The wines we tried were amazing and the place overall offers a unique experience even to someone not particularly into wines. Highly recommended , totally worth your while

I have had a wonderful wine tasting session of signature wines in Oremus. I was completely lucky to have this improvised visit worked. I truly recommend making an appointment in advance before visiting, hence to have a complete experience
