Highlights

Authentic. Fresh. Healthy. Convenient. Sustainable. From our hummus to our tahini, it’s all 100% genuine – in fact, many of our ingredients are imported from Israel to create the same traditional tastes found in the restaurant’s of Tel Aviv. We use only the best natural ingredients and produce. Our hummus tastes nothing like the store-bought variety because we never use preservatives or substitutes. Our pita and hummus are prepared fresh numerous times throughout the day. We serve Angus beef, all natural chicken and 100% organic eggs, and we source most of our produce from local family farms. We are open every day (except major holidays). Our fresh packed food is always available for take-out, to enjoy at work, home or on the go. Visit us at the Saratoga Farmer's Market all year around on Saturdays 9am-1pm, rain or shine!

We got a nice table for my husband’s birthday lunch. Food was good. The rice bowl with veg skewers had some half done eggplant. May not order that again if we visit.

I visited this place for the first time, and I was absolutely fascinated! The food was incredible—every bite was bursting with flavor. We started with the cauliflower florets as an appetizer, and they were perfectly crispy and seasoned. For the main course, we tried the beef kebab and the pita beef kebab, and both were absolutely delicious! A special shoutout to our server, Dante, who was not only friendly but also made the whole dining experience even better with his amazing service. He truly went above and beyond! This place has everything: fantastic food, top-notch service, and a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend! 👌🍴✨

Google
We came on a Monday a little before six and there were only a few other customers. The space is well lit and modern, perhaps a bit too bright. Service was friendly, but they forgot to bring our water and it took a bit to get the bill. We got the sampler of dips with pitas and the lamb kebab. Both were tasty, but not quite my ideal versions of those dishes.

Google
We reserved a table in advance for our family with kids. The food was incredibly fresh and healthy, with plenty of veggies and grilled meats. While the adult plate (protein with two sides) is a bit pricey at around $25, it was delicious. The kids' meals, priced at $11, were a good value and the portions were great. The dips combination was good: Labane (8/10), chunky eggplant (9/10), beers (7.5/10) and the falafel was extra crispy and flavourful (10/10). Service was excellent, and we really enjoyed the music and warm hospitality.

Google
We’ve been getting food from here for quite some time and each time there’s been something wrong. Sometimes they give less pita bread than ordered, sometimes throw in a different side than ordered. These are pretty small errors and generally not a big deal. Food industry is tough business. But yesterday, we got uncooked chicken in our order! That’s just unacceptable. Got icked out.

Google
With delicious food and very friendly staff, this restaurant is worth going a second time. We ordered the Pita Beef kebab, Pita Chicken, Hummus chicken bowl, and the rice bowl. For the price it was filling, and the portions were good. For 4 people it was around $75 so around 19 per person. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and good.

Google
The food was delicious, and the background music added to the authentic atmosphere. The servers were incredibly friendly. However, the seating and dining area require some upgrades to avoid a fast-food restaurant vibe. I see a potential in this restaurant.

Google
This place is very interesting. I really liked it even though I do keto and could not have their staple food which are the sandwiches. Their hummus was really good though and they were kind enough to bring us cucumber and carrots to dip. I would visit again next time Im in the area.

Yelp
Our server Tamara was so amazing and sweet. Not only that but the food was so delicious and came out so quick. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Sometimes, the uncomfortable and/or possibly painful truth is what is necessary to gain access to true comfort and stability. Interesting, eh? Grabbing a window seat made the whole experience a lot more romantic and private (oh and they have a nice, fancy chandelier upon entrance). Anyways...we both got the same thing: the Rice Bowl (Turmeric spiced Basmati rice simmered with tomatoes, garlic, onions, mint, parsley, and tahini) with chicken skewers. It was a really savory, perfectly seasoned, and satiating bowl. Definitely comfort food. The chicken was super tender as well. The portion was pretty generous. We also got the Mint Lemonade, which to me was excessively sour. After adding water, it was balanced out. Service was good.

Yelp
First time I have had a sit down meal at Oren's Hummus. Everything was delicious from the Beet Hummus to the Schnitzel to the pita. In addition to the food, what really stood out was the service. The manager Nicole cheerfully greeted us as soon as we entered and offered a free appetizer as she seated us. Then our waiter Kien was especially helpful. He provided refills for the appetizer and additional hot water for the Tumeric tea. He checked in regularly and was very considerate. I have not had such good service in a restaurant in a long time. The Oren's staff really stood out. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Ellen S.

Yelp
Second time at this location and the service and food are phenomenal. Both times I ordered the pita falafel sandwich and it is outstanding. I order the green falafel (more traditional) and had it on both a white and wheat pita. The white pita is soft and pillowy while the wheat pita has a little more structure and nuttier flavor. Both are delicious. You can't go wrong with the sauce on the table ... the green being my favorite. The added punch it gives to the falafel, hummus, tomato, pickle and cucumber makes it memorable. Service is very helpful and friendly, coming by to check in on you and the experience. Such a great place!

Yelp
If hummus where the heart is, then my heart is at Oren's Hummus! ;) See what I did there? Ok, all joking aside, their hummus is hands down THE BEST! Rich, creamy, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious & addicting! My husband and I have to control ourselves to not eat the entire container all at once! Since discovering this newer location in Los Gatos last year, we've been coming here regularly to buy hummus (from the to-go fridge section near the cashier), and what makes it even better is that you get freshly baked, warm pita bread when you buy a container of hummus (2 if you buy a large container). You even have a choice of white or wheat too! We always go for the wheat pita bread and purchase an extra 1 or 2 because they are just so good! The restaurant itself is welcoming, spacious and bright. You can't miss the huge crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and the trio of photos on one of the walls of a cute little kid demonstrating "The Hummus Eating Guide," which is simple: Rip, Scoop, Eat! Check, check and check! Every time we've come in (and we've lost count), the cashiers and staff here are always very warm and friendly. We'll be back soon once we run out of hummus again!

Emilio U.

Yelp
I haven't tried any other Oren's Hummus locations but I don't feel I want to because after three visits here they always hit the mark! The staff here are so polite and genuinely love what they do. The service is always amazing and quick alongside the restaurants ambiance itself is so warm and welcoming. Aside from the location being great and service the food is even better, the menu is actually perfect and has something for everyone. 10/10 will always bring people here for brunch!

Shell S.

Yelp
I love OH since they first opened and go to all their locations. Sadly they don't have any locations in SoCal and I always stop by OH when I'm visiting town. This last visit to LG did not disappoint, everything tasted as good as it did before. I got couple of my favorite dishes: appetizer sampler and chicken schnitzel plate. My other favorites are the chicken bowl, falafel sandwich, and of corse the hummus. Service was very friendly but a little on the slow side. Overall a great experience.

Lindsey C.

Yelp
Amazing food as always! I purchased gluten free pita bread for $2 per piece. The service is great and our waitress checked in on us many times. Very clean and inviting interior.

Donya A.

Yelp
The service here from Kien was EXCEPTIONAL!!! He was very very helpful when it came time for us to choose a dish, and the food arrived at our table in a very timely fashion. Waitstaff made sure our water cups were always filled and ensured we understood all the ingredients in each dish so we could customize the order to our liking. I will definitely be returning to dine in here with friends and family, as Kien and other members of the waitstaff made sure we felt at home and enjoyed our meals.

Julie W.

Yelp
We enjoyed the hummus sampler, the complimentary pickled vegs, cider, and coffee. It was delish. I liked the different flavors of the hummus and the picked carrots, beets, and yogurt. Pita was fresh. Great place for a quick meal, snack, or simple meal. I think you need to like hummus to enjoy the different flavors of hummus. I also like beets, so that would help. I would come again and same with my family.

Nancy L.

Yelp
Haven't been here for a while and my fiancé had a craving for hummus dips. We ordered the hummus bowls with chicken and stewed lamb. Omg the stewed lamb was so tender and juicy! Ordered both traditional falafel and garlic falafel . Both delicious but I prefer the original. Pita breads were fresh and soft. No wonder this place is always packed !

Jill U.

Yelp
My go to place for a quick bite. The falafel pita is super filling and super tasty. Lots of fresh ingredients. The red sauce is just my speed. The gluten free pita is really good. The restaurant takes preorder for pickup and they do delivery. I'm always surprised there aren't more people in their clean and quiet dining area. Sometimes the staff is not as outgoing friendly as I'd like. But they're pleasant and helpful.

Elisa G.

Yelp
I came in to try the different types of hummus and the garlic hummus is very good! I wanted to try the gluten free cauliflower but it looks so fattening! Instead I chose the roasted cauliflower with traditional hummus. Delicious!!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was great. Manager checked in a few times and even gave a few suggestions on wine. Only downside is the gnats flying around due to the doors being open.

Tom L.

Yelp
There is nothing "authentic" about Oren's Hummus. I've travelled all over the world, including a significant amount of time in the Middle East. You would never see garlic fries, or gluten free bread on an authentic middle eastern menu. This is California Middle Eastern food masquerading as "authentic." Not only is this food not what you would actually find abroad, it also tastes false. There is more effort put into how the dishes look than how they taste. The inside of the restaurant seems like it belongs in a cheap Vegas hotel. The person who designed it has absolutely no taste, just like their food.

Nicole B.

Yelp
Oren's is great! I love this location because it's in a great downtown area and there are options for both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is extensive enough for everyone to find something they like. My personal favorite things to order are the sweet potato fries, gluten free bread pudding, gluten free pita with chicken or kebab, or the chicken and rice bowl. The hummus is good, but very creamy - I prefer less smooth hummus but it's still good! The pickles and olives are also a great side dish to snack on while you're enjoying all the other food you ordered. What I love about the Los Gatos location specifically is the service. I've always encountered extremely nice and attentive staff here! Overall a great place to come for a quick casual lunch or a dinner! Love it :)

Stacy A.

Yelp
Came here for lunch for the first time today, after walking around the Los Gatos art and wine festival. My daughter and I noticed there wasn't much seating at the festival near the food trucks, and we did not want to eat on our knees on the grass, so we walked back up to the downtown area. Being very new to Israeli food, I really was not familiar with the spices or flavor profile, but I found I really loved everything! I ordered the beef skewer with sides of Oren's eggplant, and fries, and pita. I loved the fresh soft pita, it was better than most I've ever tasted. The beef kebab was a minced beef with great flavor and spices, and the eggplant was also quite delicious. The fries were your basic steak fries, but hot and fresh and a very generous portion. There were two spicy sauces on the table that were fantastic, although be careful, my tongue was burning for a while! My daughter ordered the rice bowl with falafel and she also loved it. Overall a really great lunch, and I will come back again to try more things next time I'm in Los Gatos.

Sonia N.

Yelp
This location of Oren's Hummus feels like a bit of a hybrid between fast casual and full service restaurant (I think this is new because on a previous visit we ordered at the counter and this time someone took our order). The appearance of the restaurant and the menu board, as well as refrigerated display of to-go items belies the quality of the food. The Mediterranean dishes here are very good. We started with some complimentary pickled cabbage. Then we ordered an Israeli salad, hummus bowl, green falafel, and vegan lamb. The salad and hummus were flavorful and fresh. The falafel were crispy, great texture, and paired perfectly with the hot sauces they brought out. The absolute star was the Black Sheep brand vegan lamb which was an amazing meat dupe and was seasoned perfectly. They also have gluten free pita, which was soft and warm - not the typical dry texture of gf bread. Service was attentive and informative.

Jane H.

Yelp
I used to love this place but it has been hit by shrinkflation. I ordered a chicken skewer rice bowl, which was mostly rice, sprinkled with a thin layer of unusually small cubes of chicken in top. What happened? However, the food remains flavorful and the service was excellent, so three stars, but I wouldn't come back. The mint lemonade was also too sour for me, as others have mentioned.

Diane W.

Yelp
My family really loves Orins. We have been to three of these immaculate happy restaurants. This is my favorite! The people are incredibly gracious and this big open place feels happy and welcoming. As with most families, everyone had a different idea of table and location. We even tried one on the patio. The massive chandelier had to be enjoyed so we happily sat inside at a nice big table. The wonderful lady server brought everything including drawing puzzle mat for the little guy. This is the best hummus in the world. It is a perfect concoction that is smooth and airy and full of flavor. The whole wheat pita is fluffy as clouds. We had all vegan side dishes that were perfect. Crunchy falafel balls, pickled beets and eggplant. It was just scrumptious. Truly highly recommend.. Thank you for the amazing lunch feast!!

Angela L.

Yelp
This is our regular for Mediterranean food at Los Gatos downtown. I love their wheat/flour bread the most. And their samplers so that I can taste a lot of small dishes at the same time. Their eggplant-based hummus is a must. I especially like the fact that their shop is located at a corner lot, where you can see people walking by, sometimes cute fuzzy friends, from inside of window. The staff are incredibly helpful as well, this is a good place to spend a weekend night with healthy food and good atmosphere.

Elicia F.

Yelp
Knocking down a star and a half for the price. I know prices in general are high but $49 for a pita sandwich and a skewer plate at a fast foodish or super casual joint just seem steep to me. The food itself is good, very filling and they load up on carbs no matter what plate you get. Tons of rice in the bowls or tons of hummus and pita with the plates. The meat (I always get chicken) is flavorful and never dry. The service is excellent, at the register and tables. Very friendly and attentive staff. It's more of a casual eat type of ambiance, good for a quick lunch or dinner.

Shirley F.

Yelp
I've always heard wonderful things about this spot, but never had the chance to stop by to try their hummus. Service was 5 stars, the guy was on top of filling our waters. I'm a HUGE fan of eggplant hummus and it appears this is what they SPECIALIZE in. We had the sampler dish and the Greek Style Eggplant was the HIGHLIGHT of the night. I can devour a plate of this. The kebob rice bowl and Falafels were spectacular as well. Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all check them out if you haven't already done so!

Sebastian F.

Yelp
Clean and bright with prompt, friendly service, I have eaten here a few times because I am a big fan of hummus and have always had a good experience and solid if not exceptional food. A little pricey though considering the portion sizes.

Erin P.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to stop at Oren's Hummus while in Los Gatos last night. As per usual, we had a wonderful experience! The servers were friendly, attentive and were quick to fill our waters. The food was absolutely delicious, too! I've gotten the falafel and Jaffa hummus bowl once before, but the coleslaw (complementary) and veggie skewer were new for me! I'm not sure what they marinated their veggies in, but I NEED it. YUM!! The coleslaw was also yummy. It wasn't creamy like the coleslaw that I'm used to, rather, it was more vinegary (but in a good way). If you're in the area and looking for a delicious meal, stop by Soren's

David M.

Yelp
What happened to prices here? $20 for a beef/lamb pita? Really? Nick the Greek's is $12 and honestly tastes better and is even larger. Oren's is making it harder and harder to justify a visit. See what a couple of pitas some hummus costs next time you visit. Yeesh.

Teri A.

Yelp
Great place for little Hummus and Pita. Stopped for lunch, hubby ordered the Himmus Sabich plate and I got my new fav Greek salad with chopped chicken and dressing on the side. So delicious. Their staff are great!

Joonas L.

Yelp
Amazing hummus. Ordered way too much to share with a friend and ended up overstuffed but happy. Friendly service. Dog friendly terrace.

Lana M.

Yelp
Make sure the chicken is cooked properly. As a pregnancy woman, I am concerned after eating here this evening.

Julienne P.

Yelp
Tried some hummus and eggplants from this restaurant and it was so good! I love the mix of a vegetables dish combined with hummus. Hummus alone is a bit too heavy for me and I can't eat too much in one sitting. But I certainly can when it's mixed with eggplants and pita. Yum!! Definitely want to try other dishes here next time.

Noelle G.

Yelp
i used to frequent the campbell location until i found this one. the table at the front by the corner window is perfect, i try to get that table whenever empty and just people watch during my meal. this spot is right infront of a park with lots of people walking around. loveeee the vibes. the service here is so nice too! def very homey

Alexis D.

Yelp
On the plus side, my to-go order was ready to pick up very quickly and the hummus has a great texture and taste. I did find it a little bland but some finishing salt at home perked it right up. I had the falafel pita wrap (wanted the beef but I just couldn't justify spending $19 on it). The filling was good but it was very messy, and the whole wheat wrap tasted and had a doughy texture. It surprises me that so many reviews rave about their pita when I thought even the white pita was just okay. The wheat turned to mush and completely fell apart making it very difficult to eat the wrap. The portions were decent but the prices just felt way too high and I'm not sure if I'll be back.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
This Los Gatos location is the 4th Oren's Hummus spot I've been to. This location is more spacious than the others and has alfresco dining along Main St. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the warm December day. I usually get the chicken rice bowl, but this time I opted for the hummus bowl because I was craving pita bread. Definitely a lot of hummus for one person so will probably stick to the rice bowl and get a small side of hummus next time. We also took advantage of their Wine Down Wednesday's - 50% off selected glasses/bottles of wine! There's a 3% mandated living wage surcharge, and you pay directly from your table.

Marie J.

Yelp
I visited the restaurant because, as a pregnant woman, I was really craving some hummus. Unfortunately, the hummus was not flavorful. This establishment is not worth visiting. Both the service and the food are subpar. The menu items labeled as "Israeli couscous" and "Israeli hummus" are clearly stollen from other cultures. I vomited my food once I got home

Christina V.

Yelp
Went here the other evening with my husband. First off it's a tad confusing as when you walk in it funnels you to a register which is actually for take out. Service was helpful but not great, we asked for two waters got one, never came back for refills or to ask if we want anything else once food was dropped off (normal for a sit down). Then we had to track them down for the check after waiting awhile. There was one other table and they were clearly shutting everything down at this point. I think a better model would be ordering at the register, paying, and enjoying the meal at a table and being able to leave after. What we ordered: Chicken Pita - it was good, not a lot of chicken, more veggies and sauce. Chicken skewer- great flavor, on the small slide for an entree. We got the side of hummus, Plenty of hummus and it was honestly the best hummus ever. Just wish our server had come back to check on us we would have ordered more pita to go with it as one piece disappeared quickly. Special lemonade- it was tasty but very strong. We used some of our water to tone it down. Overall I would go back but order Togo, try something else and get more hummus and pita up front.

Mamak S.

Yelp
We were looking for a quick dinner take out on our way home. We ordered the rice bowl with beaf kebab and also the plant based lamb kebabs. Portions for the beaf kebab were very small and they were dry and overcooked and the rice was stale ! The plant-based lamb was just not eatable, the smell and texture and taste was just horrible! Such a waste of time money! Only positive was the cashier and other workers were nice people! Needless to say we will never go back!

Abby H.

Yelp
After encountering a very rude host at Soda Works. A group of friends was glad that we took our business elsewhere where. Good food and excellence services. The server was super friendly and at one point I believe the manager came over to check in.

Melissa M.

Yelp
We were in the area and came here because we love the Mountain View location. This one definitely had a different vibe. The pita, falafel, and dips we ordered were all fantastic. The main dishes we ordered, had some flavorings that were off. Mine was extra salty--my body is telling me it had MSG, but I did not confirm this. I would come here again for the pita/dips/sides only. Service was decent, though it started out a little awkward. The restrooms require a code and I'm told that the men's room was very dirty. Your mileage may vary.

Mike A.

Yelp
Great food, very authentic and tasty. Prices are a bit on the steep side for what you get. I ordered the kabobs and got fries and hummus. Great portion of fries, very hot and fresh. The hummus was fresh and so good. The pita is so delicious and soft and I even tried the wheat pita which was surprisingly good too. The kabob was seasoned well and juicy! The wait staff is nice and everyone was very welcoming. I would definitely come back. Thanks Oren!

Amanda V.

Yelp
I've been to Oren's Hummus several times in different locations, but this last visit was my least favorite. First, it seems that the Los Gatos location has become a sit down restaurant (I couldn't order at the counter, but rather was handed a menu). The food arrived quickly; however, it was a bit awkward to first be seated, then not given a menu only to go up to the counter and told to go back to our table and be given a menu. My friend loved her food (rice bowl), and she is eager to return. I, on the other hand, opted for the green shakashuka (something I have had before). This time, the eggs were way over cooked and I hesitate to order it again if I go back. You can even see how different the photos of the shakshuka look from my most recent visit and a previous one. Overall, I still have a good impression of Oren's, but I am not in as much of a rush to go back as I was prior to this last visit.

I M.

Yelp
Really good stuff. Who knew a hummus place would be this interesting and delicious? They have some unusual things that I would not expect a hummus place to have. Great find!

Jackie N.

Yelp
Can't believe I have always passed by Oren's locations and never tried before. I wasn't expecting much honestly but I was pleasantly surprised. The beef kebobs were nice and juicy especially when paired with their hummus. Oh and their pita, THICK! Kinda like the size of a tortilla but it's about an inch thick, super moist and soft. The pita and hummus together is like heaven. Service was great as well, we were checked up on often. There's street parking and a small lot right in the back of the building.

Dan G.

Yelp
The Pita is Excellent! The Chicken pita leaves a bit to be desired.. kinda favor-less They add some Pickles, Cucumbers, Tomatoes.. a bit of Sauce but it was kinda bland. That being said.. the Hummus is decent.. My only real complaint was the slow service ..lotsa people standing around ..on an empty Mon afternoon..Took 25 min for a Chicken pita with. 2 ppl in the store. I'd only return if I ordered ahead of time and prob only just for the Pita and Hummus. Falafel Stop in Sunnyvale ..is in my opinion.. better with the protein's..AND they put fries ..in the pita..just like in the Middle East.

Nin J.

Yelp
Nice spot to grad some fast Mediterranean food. Love that the kitchen is open and appears to be clean. Even better is the folks working in the kitchen were all wearing gloves. Plenty of options to choose from but we ordered a half falafel pita, a half chicken pita, cauliflower bites, tabouli and the pomegranate walnut dip. The falafel's were very tasty, the chicken was basic, the pomegranate dip and tabouli were not a hit for neither of us, but the cauliflower bites were delicious, Simple but tasty. Great happy hour food selections and beer and wine. Customer service was excellent.

Jackie S.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place and finally did. I ordered the chicken pita and it was the best chicken pita I have ever had. I wish I didn't wait so long to try this place and can't wait to go back and try something else

Katie R.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Oren's Hummus Express for a while now and finally got the chance to try the real deal! Loved the variety of the expanded menu, there were so many options that sounded good! It took me about 5 minutes standing at the counter trying to pick just one meal. Can't wait to go back and try even more! This time I ordered the chicken skewer plate with hummus and falafel. The chicken was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The falafels were also really good, I don't think they were as big as the ones I got from Oren's Hummus express, but it could've been since they were a side and not the main item. Also amazing as usual were the hummus and pita. This place truly has my absolute favorite hummus, I've gone in many times and got it from the grab and go case. Service was great - we had been wine tasting before and had a half full bottle of wine with us, the girl working the counter offered us wine glasses so we could enjoy it with our dinner. Food came up reasonably quick and was hot and fresh!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
The hummus bowls are delicious and 1 bowl can be shared between 2 people. The Babaganoush is delicious as is the Red Bellpepper Eggplant dip! The wheat pitas are large and are served warm. We ordered the Lamb Hummus bowl, only available on Friday and Saturday and the Beef hummus bowl. The spices are so good, not over powering but distinctive. Every time I go in I see people order the lentil soup so it must be tasty as well. The service is good. The minute you are seated a free serving of Israeli coleslaw is put on the table. Everyone is ready to answer your questions. They serve Wine, beers and hot teas along with non alcoholic drinks. Worth the visit while enjoying downtown Los Gatos

Parnia M.

Yelp
The food today was great but the service we received dropped my usual 4 star review of this place to 2 star. Our server was Pablo and on multiple occasions we received attitude or him arguing with us when their was miscommunication. Hoping this service improves so they can maintain their customers.

Carly B.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and everything was fantastic! The hummus and pita were unreal and I loved my falafel rice bowl. Our picky toddler really enjoyed the chicken kabob kids meal which is rare for him. Service was excellent and everyone was so nice. Will be back!

Ann K.

Yelp
My favorite falafel place! Delicious and flavorful. The pita is excellent as well. So soft and tasty. Fun atmosphere with beautiful chandelier.
