La Festa Italian Street Festival is Hitting East Passyunk Next Month | Eater Philly

"The free, all-ages Italian street festival will take place all day next Sunday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on East Passyunk Avenue between Broad and Moore streets in South Philadelphia; it began in 2010 to honor Festa della Repubblica and aims to replicate the holiday festivities held in Italy. Organizers say the festival’s footprint is nearly double what it’s been in previous years, so I can expect even more music, food, shopping and family fun, including two stages of live music, over two dozen food and drink vendors, wine-making demonstrations, and kid-friendly attractions like moonbounces, age-appropriate games and trampolines. The event also hosts an annual spaghetti-eating contest open to the public, is presented by Filitalia International and Foundation and the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District, and will raise proceeds for Filitalia International and The History of Italian Immigration Museum." - Audrey Carleton

$6 for veggie Lo mein is a great deal. This is just your basic, cheap Chinese food at a great price. It could have more spices in it, yes, but this isn’t that price point, so check your expectations. It’s yummy and simple. In the photos are veggie Lo mein (small pint) and schzuan bean curd.

Difficult to order when the cashier isn’t interested in helping. Also if you plan on spending less than ten dollars since you know most things on the menu are under 10$ then bring cash because they won’t accept card overall clown show. Spend your money somewhere else and get better food experience and value.

The best. Wish they were open later. If you didn't try the Teriyaki Chicken, youre gonna hafta go back for that. Best General Tsos tofu around. Always on point.

I’m gonna be honest this food was extremely bland… the chicken in the fried rice tastes like it was boiled not fried and the lo mein is not remarkable at all. The sesame chicken is fine, and the sezchuan chicken was the best thing that we ordered but it wasn’t spicy at all

First time ordering here got a beef and broccoli combo platter and a general tso's combo platter . The beef is so soft theres no grisly fat the broccoli was steamed just right . To the general tso's the sauce over the chicken was fantastic and the chicken had a great crunch to it . Can't wait to go back and try there chicken wings and there egg foo young .Highly recommend this place it's a must try .

I accidentally placed an order, when I called to get my money back they told me to call the number that was provided on the website so it was possible. It was their number, when told that they said they didn’t have my money when it clearly took out the money from my account. Horrible service.

This place has done in and takeout. No table service. Appears clean and is open. Decor is dated. I ordered General Tso chicken lunch special for $535. Large portions. Rice and chicken seemed fresh. Food was good. Staff friendly. They seemed to have busy delivery service which always a good sign. I would recommend based on first impressions.

Very solid choice for a quick bite for dinner. My wife and I are visiting and this place was right next to the Airbnb so we just walked in and ordered. Only take out which worked fine. Very generous portions and everything was cooked perfectly. Chicken was juicy and saucy, no complaints
