Comfort African Market isn’t just a store, it’s a warm, welcoming bridge to home for anyone from West Africa, and a beautiful introduction to Ghanaian culture for anyone new.
The owner went out of her way to help me identify the perfect ingredients to help our Ghanian guest feel seen, valued, and at home. Her kindness and generosity was an unexpected blessing and provided exactly what the name of the market promises - comfort.
The market itself is clean, well-organized, and stocked with authentic staples: everything from palm oil and scotch bonnet peppers to jollof rice ingredients and hard-to-find spices. But more than that, Comfort African Market is full of heart.
