Comfort African-Caribbean Market was absolutely gorgeous. The moment I walked in I felt a deep sense of pride being African-American/Caribbean-American. The music was really nice, the store was very clean, and had a they had huge amount of fresh groceries. The kind young lady at the front of the market was so friendly and gave me such a warm greeting. I ended up getting some Irish Sea Moss drink and it was delicious. If you are in the area please stop by the first chance you get.

This store carries a variety of authentic African and Caribbean delights that you will not find at regular market chains. Herbal Teas and Elixirs that support good health. But the what is most special about this market is the owner and the special care she gives to her customers. She has such a beautiful spirit and is very knowledgeable about the products she sells. And she gives me Great Comfort every time I visit her store. I highly recommend this market to anyone. Go now and check this market out. You will not be disappointed.🫶🏾

Visiting this place is always a pleasure. They offer a great selection of ethnic foods. My family has roots in both Jamaican and Nigerian cultures, and I find everything I need to prepare our traditional dishes here. If you’re looking for something that isn’t available, just let them know, and they’ll do their utmost to help you out. I appreciate being able to buy fresh pickled mackerel directly from the brine instead of the frozen kind, although they do have that option as well. They also carry the excellent salt-fish that I love from Jamaica. Some shops sell thick, rubbery saltfish, which isn’t ideal. Her salted beef is truly the best in the area! It’s not tough beef! EVERYTHING TASTES JUST LIKE HOME. Overall, there’s a vast selection of foods and the customer service is friendly and efficient. I have no complaints.

Comfort African Market isn’t just a store, it’s a warm, welcoming bridge to home for anyone from West Africa, and a beautiful introduction to Ghanaian culture for anyone new. The owner went out of her way to help me identify the perfect ingredients to help our Ghanian guest feel seen, valued, and at home. Her kindness and generosity was an unexpected blessing and provided exactly what the name of the market promises - comfort. The market itself is clean, well-organized, and stocked with authentic staples: everything from palm oil and scotch bonnet peppers to jollof rice ingredients and hard-to-find spices. But more than that, Comfort African Market is full of heart.

It was nice to find a real african store with all the main products I was looking for. The store is small but had so much available goods, well organized & clean. I liked the fact that it was actually owned by an African unlike the other African store around there

Island vibes throughout. The owner/cashier is very friendly and helpful. I bought this Tropical Rhythms mango juice today along with some plantain. Love the taste straight from Kingston Jamaica.
