Sure, there’s a squeaky clean Del Taco right by the highway in Barstow but what fun is that? It’s jam-packed and NOT THE OLDEST SURVIVING DEL TACO IN THE WORLD. Drive the extra five minutes into town and pay homage to stoner history. This place is definitely overlooked by everyone who just keeps going down the highway. Stopped at the exit before to check out a store everyone was recommending but found myself underwhelmed by the stale $9 gummy worms. I kept driving to check out the Original Del Taco and am really happy with my decision. The food was awesome, the portions were generous and the cost was super reasonable. Just make sure you have cash on you. Richard took our order and was super polite and helpful. I am definitely adding this place as a stop when traveling highway 15 from now on

Stopped by the gas station up the street and decided to drive the block to check this place out. Food prices are great and far more reasonable than anytime in the area. Plenty of parking and picturesque views of the nearby mountains. I would recommend going to Eddie's world for the restroom and stopping by here for food.

This is the best burger and fries I’ve ever had! I’m not usually one to be wowed by food but this burger had me hooked after the first bite! Definitely found my new favorite stop on road trips to Cali.

Stopped by during a roadtrip and had some of the best food of my life!! I got the Carne Asada Burrito and a side of Zucchini Fries, everything came out hot and fresh. I definitely can’t wait to come back again, and everyone working was super nice!! Definitely made my whole experience.

Apparently the original Del Taco. Big, if true. There was signage which appeared to be for a newer burger restaurant, but much of the Del Taco signage was still there. Either way, the whole thing was closed when I was there.

Closed despite visiting during open business hours at 2 PM. I visited because it was advertised as the original Del Taco. Upset because I wasted my time and gas to visit and they weren't open. There were lights on and a worker inside, but the sign said closed. Please be true to your stated business hours.

I wish I could give it zero stars. Went there on July 6th 1999. On Google it said "open'. I read the reviews and they were decent, so I was excited to go. I got there and it was closed. If you go to Google right now, it says "open". So I drove past Barstow in hopes of going here and this is what I get. Irresponsible. Thanks.
