Catalina Restaurant Owners Face Prison Time for Underpaying and Overworking Employees | Eater LA

"Facing felony grand labor and wage theft charges brought by District Attorney George Gascón, the owners of Original Jack’s Country Kitchen on Catalina Island are accused of withholding over $1.5 million in wages while expecting employees to work 18-hour days; prosecutors say the couple could face up to 22 years in prison. California’s Labor Commissioner began investigating the businesses in 2017 and found employees were frequently underpaid, worked long hours, and were forced to clock out early to avoid paying overtime, and many of the victims were reported to be immigrants living on the Tuceys’ property." - Mona Holmes

We arrived for brunch around 9:30am on a Saturday and the place was packed. Luckily, they were able to seat us quickly. I ordered the Catalina veggie omelette, which came with hollandaise sauce, pancakes, and fresh fruit, my friend ordered the Belgian waffle with strawberries, and my other friend ordered orange juice and chicken fried steak, which came with hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy. Service was very quick and the food came out fast. While not the best food I've ever had, it helped fuel us for the rest of our day kayaking and touring the island.

Visited on a Wednesday morning with a group of 10 - seated 1 group indoor and outdoor. Restaurant was quite busy - service was a little slow and a few things forgotten/had to remind and ask to bring out. -Fries -Vanilla Milkshake (asked for it/wasn't om the menu) -Pancakes -Kids Benedict Everything was pretty good. Would recommend for a casual breakfast or lunch.

We went there around 11:30 for brunch. We’re seated right away as we didn’t want to wait so took the table that was available outside the view was nice!! Food was good and the staff were friendly. Good place to eat!!!

A solid breakfast diner in the heart of Avalon. Stopped in for my first time this morning and overall we had a nice breakfast. It’s not quite as good as a lot of spots on the mainland, but given its location I feel they did a good job. It was quite busy on a Thursday morning, so I’m sure it can get even crazier on weekends. They have a very large menu filled with all sorts of classic dishes so choosing some thing was a bit of a challenge given how many options there were. Our server was polite, although we just saw him at the very beginning of our meal and not again. Our dishes arrived actually pretty slowly, but given that I’m sure the kitchen is smaller than a lot of mainland kitchens I won’t fault them too much for that. Pricing is also pretty fair given that it’s island food and feel it would be a good stop if you’re in the area and looking for breakfast. For my breakfast I chose the Dungeness Crab Eggs, Benedict and thought it was pretty good. The sauce was more watery than I prefer, and the Dungeness Crab was very chopped, almost like burger meat, so I wish it would’ve been more in chunk form like you see in a Dungeness Crab Cocktail. Also the hashbrowns could have been a bit crispy but overall not a bad meal. They do have Kona Coffee so the coffee was very strong and tasty, which may have been my favorite part of the meal. I would suggest if you are in Avalon and looking for a nice place to have breakfast.

We visited here for dinner though. It's very popular breakfast place. We were very happy to be escorted to a nice table. Esmeralda took the orders and helped guide us through the availability of Italian dishes. I took the salad and the minestron soup. They were excellent. Noodles with meatballs and well cooked. Rub yeoli dish with spinach. Everything tasted, yummy drinks were available. We went in for simple Coke and water. The service was very good and being a birthday. They gave a complimentary tiramisu, which was icing on the cake. Excellent place. We enjoyed all the hospitality and great service. Very reasonable prices and made evelyn, even more memorable

Google
Breakfast was busy but they managed to get the food out pretty quickly. Whatever they order the food on, I guess sends it straight to the kitchen so it didn't take long. Drinks were great. Food was even better.

Google
Great food! Small space, definitely felt a family vibe there. This place is felt unreal, just 50 feet away you got the beach and other shops. I will definitely come back!

We sat outdoor seats and they are nice and decent spot to have breakfast. We both got chicken and waffles, you will get nice and crispy 4 chicken wings and a soggy waffle. I assumed it’s premade. Not crispy at all and kinda cold. Maple syrup was pretty runny wand watery..? The staffs were nice.

Yelp
First time having breakfast at Original Jack's Country Kitchen at Catalina Island. This place was highly recommended to us by many people who stayed in Catalina Island. It was a beautiful Saturday morning around 8:35am we checked into the eatery for a table for 11 people. Our wait time was exactly 32 minutes. Original Jack's Country Kitchen was very busy. Many people waiting for table availability. As time goes by many more people are arriving for breakfast. We got called in for seating. Our party was split into a party of 4 and a party of 7. This was fine since we all wanted to eat and the little ones were getting hungry. Our waiter was great. He provided great customer service. He was attentive and when we informed him we have several people in our party with peanut and tree nut food allergies he informed us they don't normally serve anything with peanuts and tree nuts nor do they cook anything in peanut and tree nut oil. He also informed the kitchen to avoid any possible cross contamination. We appreciated the fact that they cater to families with food allergies and their menu has plenty of options for both children and adults as well as vegan options. We ordered Real Chicken Fried Steak with Hash Brown and Gravy, Fried Chicken and Waffles, the Breakfast Sandwich with fruits and Portuguese Sausage Breakfast with fruits. Along with Kona coffee and hot chocolate with whip cream. The Real Chicken Fried Steak with Hash Brown was really good. It was a thick chicken breast with golden brown breading. Hash Brown was crispy yet not over cooked. Gravy was creamy and but not too rich. The Breakfast Sandwich was warm and delicious. It had two thin slices of sourdough with mayonnaise, lettuce, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The bacon was crunchy. The scrambled eggs were thick and fluffy. Lettuce was a nice touch. The sandwich was cut in half. My little one only ate one half because it was filling. It wasn't huge, but the perfect size. We will definetly order this again. The fresh fruits were a mixture of grapes, cantaloupes, honeydew and pineapple. The Fried Chicken with Waffles came with 5 pieces of wings and drumettes. Waffle was tender and moist. Fried chicken was crispy and not over cooked. The Portuguese Sausage Breakfast was also yummy. This is one of Original Jack's Country Kitchen popular and favorite dishes along with their Kona coffee. Their Kona coffee tastes like your in Hualalai. Original Jack's Country Kitchen will be our go to for breakfast when we visit Catalina Island again in a few months. Can't wait.

Yelp
The best meal that we had in Avalon! We arrived at 9am and we were told that it was a 20 minute wait for a table for 4, but it ended up being less than that. I really loved the chicken fried steak and the gravy that came with it was soooo good! If I ever come back to Catalina, will definitely go back here first.

Yelp
Great food and great location! Boy does this restaurant get packed fairly quickly on a saturday morning! Arrived from the catalina ferry at 9:30am and there was a crowd. Next door for breakfast was crowded too but we decided to check this one out since it was a 50s style diner. The line moved pretty quickly and we were seated within 15 mins. We got a nice booth table by the mirrors and got to see some decorations. Service is quick as people ate their food, paid, and went on their merry way. I decided to go with the original scramble which had ground beef, mushrooms, onions, spinach and a side of salsa. It comes with toast and hash browns. Bf got the French toast combo which had sausage and scrambled eggs. He enjoyed the french toast and the eggs. The sausage was okay. He personally wasn't a huge fan of the thick skin for the sausage. Pretty good portion size. We loved their Kona coffee. It was hot and strong! We left with happy bellies for the rest of the day. Rented a goft cart and explored catalina island!

Yelp
Fast seating, okay food and service. Just a heads up this restaurant is not as spacious as some in the area. I highly recommend making any reservations in advance for larger parties. We had a party of 6 and it was a tight squeeze. We were sat in a booth with an extra chair at the end. We received our food before our drinks arrived. Our server blamed another guy that was helping for the inconvenience. He also blamed that same guy for forgetting our sausage but the server was the one who took our order. Unfortunately the lemonade tasted like straight water and lemons. Not sure if that was intentional. Food was good if you're considering a hole in the wall/diner vibe. I ordered corned beef hash and the server stated it was from a can. They are known for their pancakes but I wasn't in the mood for pancakes. Waffles were pretty good though! Crispy fries and hot food. Just note ALL water is bottled.

Yelp
We have a family tradition to have breakfast at Jacks on the first morning of our trip each time we visit the Island. I look forward to my Hawaiian breakfast with coconut syrup - a special treat saved for vacation :). We were seated quickly, missing the morning crowd and cruise ship visitors and our waiter was very responsive never letting my coffee get too low. One thing that stood out on this trip was how Jack's handled the bill delivery. They brought us the receipt and gave us time to review, then came back a few minutes with the credit card machine and then he made some space for us to enter the credit card and fill in the tip info without hovering over us. We appreciated that! Overall we're glad that Jack's food and service has stayed the same over the last few years and we look forward to keeping up this tradition in the future.

Yelp
Diner vibes, island prices! Original Jack's is the kind of place that looks like a classic diner and functions like a classic diner--but with island pricing and a curious Italian alter ego at night. (Yes, apparently it moonlights as an Italian restaurant.) We rolled up at 7:45 a.m. on a Wednesday and there was already a line six people deep outside--so if you're not a morning person, caffeinate before you wait. Speaking of coffee: the Kona blend was decent and my breakfast plate of scrambled eggs, hash browns, and two chicken sausages was solid diner fare. Total before tip? $25.90. Ambiance is exactly what you want from a spot with "Country Kitchen" in the name--booths, bustling energy, and the comforting sound of clinking mugs. Service was fast--we were in and out in 35 minutes--but friendliness was...not part of the experience. Think efficient but emotionally unavailable. Bathroom could use some TLC, but hey, you're not here for a spa day. You're here for crispy hash browns and a seat at one of the busiest breakfast joints on the island. And on that front, Jack's delivers.

Yelp
Believe it or not the best Mexican food on Catalina is actually at jacks country kitchen. The burrito and the chilaquiles are incredible. So if you want amazing authentic Mexican food when visiting Catalina island you have to stop in this amazing diner. If your friends want American food they also have great pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and other classics. My favorite is the delicious Mexican breakfast and will definitely come back. Also, they actually serve breakfast later than the terrible sand trap restaurant. Jacks country diner is my new favorite place when visiting Catalina island. The servers are friendly and you get a country home vibe from the decor.

Yelp
Good service but the food is below average. We ordered the Hawaiian breakfast, Monte Cristo, country breakfast and Elvis waffle breakfast. All mediocre

Yelp
My go to place for breakfast or lunch on the island. It's got all the traditional American Cafe vibes galore- including a 6 sided pie fridge, amazing pork chops, thick smoked bacon.... They've got great breakfasts that are more customizeable than you'd find at a chain restaurant. Want an omelette with Swiss not cheddar? Chorizo? Hollandaise? Add an egg? No worries! Highly recommend. BTW Very nice people work here too- Please be nice to them!

Yelp
Visited this spot for brunch while I was visiting Catalina for the weekend. We went around 11am on a Sunday and the place was fairly busy, but there was no wait. Staff were super friendly. I enjoyed the western-themed decor, I felt like I was in an old American diner. The food was hit or miss. I ordered the Catalina omelette and it was amazing! The omelette was PACKED with veggies and topped with a generous amount of cheese. They also gave a generous side of hash-- would 100% order again. My friend, on the other hand, ordered their fried chicken and waffle and was disappointed... the fried chicken was okay-- the serving was small and didn't have a lot of flavor. The waffle was not as crispy as he would've liked-- it seems like they used pancake mix to make the waffles. Overall, great place to stop for brunch while in Catalina esp if you're looking for an old-fashion diner vibe, I recommend ordering their omelette

Yelp
Breakfast was ok. My first time to Catalina but the bathrooms were disgusting. Paper towels all over the floor. With a restaurant that busy they need to Clean the bathroom regularly. Also you must pay for water they only have it by the bottle.
google avatar

Victoria M.

Yelp
Came here for brekky after the Catalina 50-mile race and was absolutely delighted. Dolly Parton was on, we sat outside to enjoy the fresh air and warm weather. They didn't have clear vegan options, but who can be mad when Better Get to Livin' is playing through the overhead speakers? No one, that's who. My wife ordered the biscuits and gravy for $15.95, and I ordered oatmeal $9.50 with added strawberries $3.00. We ordered two black kona coffees for $4.50 each. The meal was hot and arrived to our table quickly. I did knock off one star for the price of our meal, they gave me around 3.5 strawberries max, making then a $1.00 per strawberry which is beyond silly. We would absolutely return but I'd probably come caffeinated and skip the strawbs'.

Yelp
In our weekend at Catalina island. Jacks country chicken was the only place we went back to! That's how good the food was. The service is also extremely friendly, kind and responsive to our needs. They really took the time to give recommendations and listen to any food alterations. Overall the vibe of of your usual country kitchen brunch spot. If you need a place to go I recommend Jacks Kitchen!!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I ate there for breakfast - food was awful. How can you mess up eggs and hash browns?? I had to drown my food in ketchup for it to taste decent. We felt sick the whole day afterwards. Sausage and bacon tasted like they were made 3 days ago. Don't get ANY Benedict items. Rate 0/5 if I could.
google avatar

Theresa Renee W.

Yelp
Before heading and working up an appetite we contemplated where we would eat. As we were strolling down the street I began to hear country music. I could not resist. I chose to eat at Jacks. Low and behold they had a cute little diner set up so darling. We dined outside and enjoyed our meal. We sat and people watched wondering how folks survive here on the island. Our meal arrived it was a bit of wait but hey good things take time.
google avatar

Yelp
The fruit crepes with Nutella were INCREDIBLE. Insanely sweet, but that's the best part about it! Fruit was so fresh & I love the addition of powdered sugar. It didn't take long to get seated, and hosts were friendly and quick! It's clear a lot of people love this place based on how packed it was. It's a lively, high energy, and bustling restaurant with lots of good vibes!

Yelp
A must try in Avalon. If you're looking for a good meal in the island at a good price this restaurant is a must. Customer service is amazing and friendly. We came almost at closing time and the ambiance was quiet and welcoming.
google avatar

Lois H.

Yelp
Staff very friendly. Family style restaurant with cute decor. Food not so famous but good. Breakfast very basic for a tourist spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast on Saturday and was blown away by how fast and efficient this place is -- the short-order cooks have it down to a science. Loved it so much, I came back again Sunday before leaving the island. The Country Breakfast was spot-on -- hearty, flavorful, and not greasy at all. And those pancakes? Let's just say they were so good they left me wanting a cigarette afterward -- and I don't even smoke! Definitely give this place a try -- well worth it.
google avatar

Becky L.

Yelp
First stop after the ferry on a Friday morning. No line, friendly service, and cute interior. Prices were reasonable.
google avatar

Vanessa G.

Yelp
This place is your average diner like eatery. If you are looking for a hearty breakfast, then this is your place. I ordered eggs, hashbrowns & sausage. My plate came with pancakes: pancakes were good. My husband ordered the fried chicken meal which he thought was good, except he didn't like the gravy. We also ordered oatmeal to share, and again, just your average oatmeal. I probably wouldn't choose to go back, but if you are just looking for your average breakfast place, then it's worth a try.
google avatar

Amber T.

Yelp
On my trip to Catalina, my friend and I came here for a quick breakfast and we were glad we did. Since it was 2 of us we were told that we could sit at the bar after asking if we could sit at an open table for 4. I understood why about 30 minutes later. There was a line out the door and at that time, I was relieved! I had the kids meal breakfast since I wanted to save room for more food later. It was 1 egg, 2 pieces of bacon and 2 pieces of toast. It was a basic breakfast and overall decent. The service was a bit slow but fair for the most part. I liked how they had it decorated on the inside. There were different sayings all around to make for a nice restaurant experience.
google avatar

Irma E.

Yelp
My omelette was amazing. The service was great. Even though it was really busy when we arrived the service staff was quick. Next time I'm in town, this is my first stop of the day.

Yelp
Here to dive early in February and went to my favorite staple for a cup of joe and pancakes! 10 stars!
google avatar

Cesilia H.

Yelp
We have been coming to original jacks for years. This morning my breakfast tasted like it was make yesterday, the sausage and bacon were dry, the hash browns were bad. When questioned the server he said that everything was fresh (it was not). I am deeply disappointed since we have had many wonderful breakfasts there this will be our last one.
google avatar

Peter F.

Yelp
Best breakfast ever. I been stopping here every year while visiting to run the Avalon 50/50. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and welcomed. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Since I'm always by myself I just grab a stool at the bar and order breakfast. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. Ugh it's was heavenly when it was placed in front of me. I just sat ate, had my coffee and enjoyed my surroundings. There is so much memorabilia around I read and look at. I will definitely be back here again next year.
google avatar

Kristine P.

Yelp
Came back the 2nd time around to celebrate a special day here in Catalina! Immediately thought of taking him to this breakfast place and just take a look!!
google avatar

Khanh T.

Yelp
They only have bottled water, so no water provided! The restaurant is about a 5 minute walk from the ferry, and quickly got crowded after we got seated around 9am. I love the theme decorations! Our service was quick and we were attended to. The food came out around 9:15! We ordered 2 egg benedicts (Nova Scotia and Dungeness Crab Cake) both were delicious! Highly recommend the egg benedicts! The star of the show is definitely the Portuguese bread. It's so soft and delectable!! The hash browns were a little burned, but overall, everything was great and I would recommend this place for a nice breakfast.
google avatar

Leo Z.

Yelp
You have to pay for water wtf? And they give you bottled water. Food is alright, not the best. The ambiance was good though. I liked the restaurant design and it was a sit-down restaurant. Price is about average, around $15-$30 per person (depending on how many add-ons you get on your burger). I didn't try the breakfast menu so I don't have much comment. Service is about average for a restaurant this range, server came by a few times, generally attentive.

Joshua B.

Yelp
The orange juice tasted like something straight out of a fridge pack, diluted with water -- definitely not fresh. I didn't expect much, but it wasn't even worth what they charged. The bacon tasted like sausage and the sausage tasted like bacon, like they were cooked together in the same pan. Both ended up greasy and flavorless. This was honestly one of the most disappointing breakfasts I've had. If management cared about quality, they'd fix the food and stop serving watered-down drinks. I wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Bridgette R.

Yelp
Today we had the pleasure of trying Original Jacks County Kitchen. Let me start by saying the service was great, we sat outside and people watched while we ate. The turkey patty could have been seasoned more, but it was ok. They had the best sourdough toast I've had in a long while: the French toast breakfast was good. Very cute spot we will never back!
google avatar

Mel D.

Yelp
I realized as I was sitting down for breakfast that I've been here 13 years ago...lol - I noticed my old 3 star review. I have to say that my recent experience was not much better. I tried their eggs benedict and was not a fan. I tried a bite of the chicken fried steak with gravy and neither were very good. Service wasn't all that great, our server never came to check on us. Ambiance of being a country kitchen was cute but the food needs major improvement. On my next visit to Catalina, I'll have to remember to try other places for breakfast.
google avatar

Jan N.

Yelp
Been to catalina 3x and the first & 2nd visit here was not too bad. The 3rd one though was the worst experience ever! I don't think this restaurant can handle big parties. The 1st time we went it was just my husband and service wasnt too bad. 2nd time it was a party of 6 with our friends and it wasnt too bad either. This recent trip was terrible. Took my inlaws here and we were a party of 11 and they could not handle us. Rude server; we were trying to order and he responded rudely "i only need 1 person to order ok" like whoa. And then food was super late.. 3.rd we were still eating and check was given and they kept saying "thank u have a good day" and when my sister in law said "we just got our food" the same server (tall and bald) said "but we have a lot of people outside waiting" A very disappointing breakfast.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
This place served up a tasty Eggs Benedict. I also came back for lunch and had the smash patty burger which was also very good. My wife got the corn beef hash (twice!) Our server was very friendly and took good care of us. Inside is a classic breakfast bar feel. My one critique (and it was probably my bad) was I wished their hashbrowns came out with a little more cooked. Get there early as this place will get packed during peak hours.
google avatar

Sandor G.

Yelp
Hands down best breakfast place in Avalon. Their Chilaquiles are some of the best I've had (don't tell my wife :). The bad? It can get quite crowded quickly and the service can be a bit slow when crowded. They do their best though during those busy peak hours.
google avatar

Veronica S.

Yelp
Service was quick and good was delicious!!! Would definitely recommend anyone that comes to Catalina!!! The atmosphere is nostalgic and comfortable!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Probably my favorite place for breakfast on Catalina Island! Huge portions, great service, cute staff and awesome bathroom art !!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We went on a late Saturday morning when the island was packed; our first mistake. They sat us pretty quickly, although we were bumping elbows with the table next to us. Our food came out fast. Breakfast burrito was not good, just unseasoned eggs and meat, topped with salsa and unmelted shredded cheese. A chopped onion would have gone a long way with this dish. The biscuits and gravy were obviously from a can. The only thing that tasted good was the hawaiian french toast woth coconut syrup. If you end up here, go for the sweeter items they seem to be better. Maybe a few bloody marys would make the food taste better, I don't know because I stuck with coffee and bottled water since they refuse to serve tap.
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
I love the old skool vibe and ambiance. We sat at the counter which gave me throwback diner counter vibes. SWEDISH PANCAKES w/lingonberry sauce: -- sauce is good, but we have a local place that does lingonberry butter on Swedish cakes, so I guess it is hard to compare -- not crepe-like at our local place, but more of a thinnER pancake RATING = B SAUSAGE LINKS (side): -- snappy, oily, juicy, savory RATING = A+ KONA COFFEE (hot): -- tasty and smooth -- one thermos was barely room temp. RATING = A The cherry pie photos looked runny so I would pass. The blueberry pie images on Yelp looked better. The banana cream looked pretty good, and it seems that is their signature pie.
google avatar

Bren T.

Yelp
The service was quick, but server came on was too strong. The ambiance is ok for a breakfast place....i guess. The Food was gross, the fresh Roast beef was far from, it was dry and salty. The fruit looks like it was cut and left on the counter for a few hours... the eggs Benny was meh . Going to skip this next time
google avatar

Gabriela S.

Yelp
If you're vegan or dairy free, don't even bother to come here for breakfast. Their hash brown are buttered, can't do accommodations. No vegan protein option, everything has milk or meat or eggs on it. Would be great if they could add a vegan option on the menu
google avatar

Jo C.

Yelp
We had to go back for more breakfast! Better the second time! Upgrading my review. Yum! Great spot for breakfast!
google avatar

Steve F.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely horrendous. Starting with the service which was really poor and majorly late! The food presentation was below any standard of any restaurant I have ever dined out at before. Moreover, salad was horrible. You could taste egg shells that were still inside of the salad. The fish and chips tasted absolutely disgusting. The oil clearly was old and tasted like motor oil. Worst of all when we bought us to their attention, they gave us a major attitude and put the blame on us. A good sign to tell a bad restaurant is by simply looking at their bottles of ketchup. This place uses the cheapest ketchup imaginable not to mention that they refill it with some no name brand. I don't think a starving cat on the street would eat the food from this place. I would highly encourage you to stay away from this place (even if it's your only option).

Dalston S.

Yelp
They were quick to seat us but the drinks were bland. One of the biggest things is our son was given a room temperature hard waffle. When we told the waiter, his solution was to microwave it. Not too impressed
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
We had breakfast here twice. But that's not the story. It was great. But at night! Dinner!! It turned into one of the BEST Italian Restaurants I've ever dined at. I've been to New York. Italy. I live in L.A. and always search for the best reviewed Italian restaurants. This chef should be swooped up by a big time Italian Restaurant on the main land I can't say enough about how good the food was. And our party of 8 all shared our dishes because we couldn't believe how good EVERY dish was. Kudos.

Audrey M.

Yelp
Can't ever go wrong with a diner with plenty of breakfast options as well as lunch. The French vanilla cappuccino was very good. Crepes are on the thicker side. We were a party of 8 in the midst of a Saturday morning breakfast rush and the nice lady sat us very quickly as she said she tries to sit the larger parties more quickly so there's enough space for everyone, loved her consideration!

Yelp
The wait time was not bad despite it looking incredibly packed! I had the Burger/FRIES/PIE Deal. The burger was like a backyard BQQ burger. It was ok not the best or worst burger I've had. Same i can say about the pie. I had the banana cream pie that came with a scoop of ice cream. Pie crust had the texture of wet sand. It was just very soft compared to what I am use to. The flavor was good nonetheless. Overall, the shinning star of the meal was the fries and onion rings . Also, they do not have complimentary water. If you order water it's just a regular water bottle.

Yelp
Rushed. They rush you in and out! Not enjoyable. Food okay. Nothing to rave about. Hated the rushed attitude the whole time!! Ridiculous. Don't let kids use bathroom. Very inappropriate pictures
