Origine Brass / 4 Origines - Microbrasserie & Restaurant

During our stay in Montreal, we tried many restaurants, bars, and microbreweries—but this place had a completely different vibe! An incredibly diverse selection of house-brewed beers, and what a selection! The best IPA and a creamy one—if I’m not mistaken, No. 16—were truly unique and stood out. The food menu was excellent; we had one of the best pizzas of our lives here—especially the pizza dough, which was outstanding. It’s a perfect spot for enjoying a classic Montreal 5 à 7 after work. Our waitress, Vicky, was amazing—she remembered all eight of our beers without writing anything down and was incredibly kind and professional. Highly recommended!

Awesome place. MAKE RESERVATIONS! We didn’t the the sweet, super beautiful girl made room for us. There was a live band and they were amazing and did a great set. It was not too loud like many places. Great beer and the food was spot on! We are from Texas and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Kevin is a great, attentive server.

Very nice ambiance in this brewerie, the beers are really good, the pizzas and appetizers were tasty too, there was a small live band playing and the big TV to watch the canada/US hockey tonight, decorations make it feel comfortable. Overall recommended spot!

Such a great overall location and worth a visit. I was surprised on a lovely Saturday evening in August that it wasn't busier. They have a great patio with room for larger groups and there is lots of seating inside as well. Service was very friendly and attentive. My server Ioana was great and took good care of me. In terms of beer you have lots of options and styles but the Montreal State of Mind IPA was my pick. It's smooth without tasting so much like an IPA. I went with the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was bigger and than I imagined. It's not too spicy, just enough of a kick to pair perfectly with a beer or two. There's a parking lot next to the brewery and free street parking too.

Nice cozy vibes with a classy spin. Fun place to watch sports or hang out with friends. Bar/pub style food. It will satisfy all your fried food cravings. The fried chicken burger was on point, and the loaded fries were delicious. Not to mention, their great selection of beers! Yummy!

Excellent beer! Good food. Nice find! 'Origine Brass' literally popped up on Maps at the last-minute of searching for supper...and really liked it. Nice choice of beers to suit all palates. Take the time to browse the menu and try some apps: Jerk Shrimp was tender and flavourful; jalapeno croquettes were a surprise with the fluffy potato filling. Colleague had the chicken sandwich and it looked (and supposedly tasted) great. Lots of crunchy chicken with right amount of fillings. Pizza (Pesto + Prosciutto) was a hit! Okay now for the opportunity for improvement: we were there when they had a DJ minding the music. Way too loud! If not for the cool layout of the restaurant with high ceilings, we would not have been able to hear conversations. Other patrons 'complained' but little change in volume. Go eat and drink! Good time and value for $$$.

First time here! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess and made to feel welcome. The fairly good looking bar tender gave excellent recommendations on drinks and even found some hot sauce to accommodate my sour dough pizza. She created such a hospitable environment that I stayed for the comedy show. What a blast I didn’t expect?! Travelling solo, this is way above average!!

Sour dough pizza, loaded fries and burgers are good, while enjoying that with the craft beer, it is excellent. I asked the waiter if they made onion rings. Unfortunately the answer is no. The live music is amazing. I will go back to try the fish n chip. Hopefully by then , I would have some onion rings. It would go well with the beer, I am sure .
