Orlando's Restaurant and Bar was the perfect way to begin our St. Lucia experience.
My wife and I dined here on our first night on the island, a Wednesday evening with a 7:00 p.m. reservation. From the moment we arrived at the locked front door, complete with a large door knocker, it felt like we were stepping into our own private speakeasy. That immediate sense of intention and intimacy set the tone for the entire evening.
Katianna, our waitress, welcomed us warmly and escorted us to our table on the balcony overlooking the town of Soufrière. The view alone was special, but the experience goes far beyond scenery.
There is no menu here. You don’t choose your meal. Instead, you choose either a three-course or five-course tasting menu and fully surrender to the experience. The pacing of the night is slow, deliberately so. Each course arrives with purpose, encouraging you to slow down, savor every bite, and build anticipation for what comes next. And somehow, each course manages to be better than the last.
Katianna did a wonderful job explaining every dish as it was served, adding context and care that made the experience feel personal and thoughtful. The food itself was outstanding. Deeply flavorful, beautifully balanced, and clearly prepared with intention and love.
This is not a place for picky eaters or anyone who wants complete control over their meal. If that’s you, this may not be your spot. But if you’re willing to sit back, trust the chef, slow down, and truly enjoy the journey, Orlando’s delivers something truly special.
Slow down, surrender control, and let Orlando transport you all the way into the heart of St. Lucia.
