Orloff Resort, Spetses, Greece - Explore & Book

"Spetses is truly the 'island of aromas': lemon trees dot the pebbled lanes, pine forests scent the hills and the old harbour is awash with the tang of salt water, fresh paint and seafood. But one thing you won't smell is fumes: there are only a handful of cars on the island; most visitors get about by horse-drawn buggy or bicycle. No surprise, then, that the Athenians flock here at weekends - it's 2 hours by hydrofoil from Piraeus.Set close to the old harbour, the Orloff is a rare breath of contemporary chic. Hidden within the stone-walled grounds of a 19th century family mansion, its whitewashed buildings housing 21 rooms, suites and maisonettes cluster round a large pool, with pebbled paths and designer deckchairs shaded by ancient olive trees. Inside, cool white walls are brightened by scarlet or ochre cushions, gnarled iron lamps and bedside tables carved from tree trunks. Take a friend or partner and spend a glorious week lazing by the pool, cycling round the island and indulging in delicious Greek food and hospitality. Highs The stunning Mediterranean backdrop: neo-classical houses offset by bright blue skies and green pine treesOwners (and brothers) Christos and Vassilis Orloff are as welcoming as their multi-lingual staffBreakfast is served until 11am Massages and beauty treatments are available - you can even have hydro massage in the poolThe island is car-free - explore by bicycle, moped or horse-drawn buggy instead Lows There's no real restaurant at the hotel, and the nearest eateries are a 10-minute walk away in the old harbourThe busy town centre, Dapia, is a 15-minute walkThose mopeds are driven at breakneck speed - pedestrians take care!Standard rooms don't have much of a viewThe pool is closed daily from 2.30-5.30pm (though sometimes they waive this rule)" - Michael Cullen

Orloff Resort | Best places to stay in Spetses

"Set back from the charming old harbour of Spetses, this discreet and intimate hotel offers great value and a convenient, quiet location. Formerly the owners’ family home, the atmosphere is one of relaxed elegance. Bright, contemporary interiors have pops of colour offset by hand-crafted wooden furniture. Rooms, suites, studios, and maisonettes in various sizes are spread across several buildings. Some cater for couples, but larger suites are perfect for families. Teenagers can wander to the waterfront action unaccompanied, while toddlers can frolic in the pretty swimming pool surrounded by olive trees. Service is warm and genuine. " - Rachel Howard

Orloff could not have been a more wonderful place for a restful and relaxing vacation. From the pick-up at the ferry dock to the drop-off, from the check-in to check-out — the Orloff team was incredibly kind, gracious, thoughtful, caring, attentive, and so quick to helps They are all excellent at what they do. The rooms are well-appointed, clean, and comfortable — and have everything you need. The room’s little balcony was such a lovely place to sit and read in private, as was the poolside sitting area. There are lovely views, and the location is just down the street from Agia Marina (one of the best beaches on the island). It was a short walk to the old port and new port areas, and right next door to a bike shop where you can rent an e-bike and ride all around the island. Spetses is truly stunning, so make sure to get out and about on the island! Thank you to Demetrios, Giovita, Theodoris, Thanos, and the Orloff family for a truly wonderful visit. I cannot recommend Orloff Resort more highly!

We arrived in Spetses for the first time, and from the moment we stepped into Orloff, we were immersed in a world of understated elegance and heartfelt hospitality. The hotel is a beautifully preserved 1865 mansion, quietly stewarding the island’s rich history while embracing a timeless, refined lifestyle. ||Every detail speaks of care and taste—soft whites, calming greys, and subtle red accents, complemented by a luxurious bathroom stocked with my favorite skincare brand. The rooms offer a peaceful sanctuary, with blue shutters paying homage to the island’s chic style and a view of the Aegean that feels like a living painting. ||Waking up to a divine Greek breakfast prepared with fresh, local ingredients by the attentive team—including Dimitri, the owner and the perfect host—was a daily highlight. His discreet presence, along with the enthusiastic teenagers lending a hand, made us feel genuinely cared for. ||The art on the walls by David George Weber adds a burst of vibrancy and joy, perfectly capturing the spirit of the island. Every corner of Orloff whispers of thoughtful design, warmth, and authenticity. ||This is more than a hotel; it’s a sanctuary—an intimate, personal refuge that combines heritage, beauty, and genuine kindness. Simply put, it's truly extraordinary, and we cherished every single moment.

What can I say! Amazing hotel with excellent facilities but more importantly is the service. You could not fault it. From the top man managing this operation to the Housekeeping team, the bar /breakfast team, the mini bus driver. Beautifully decorated and excellent location. Worth every penny to stay here. We hope to come back soon.

We had such an incredible time. We stayed a few nights at the Orloff and Dimitris and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, well taken care of and at home. The breakfast was lovely, the room and overall hotel is really gorgeous, the poolside is lovely and it’s a 3-4 min walk to the old port. We’ll def come back !
