I recently visited the shop and had a great experience. I have trouble finding pieces to fit my body shape. Once the shop ladies knew what I was looking for, they helped me find pieces that fit. They helped me style them with doable suggestions and I left with some great pieces that mixed and matched for a much needed boost to my capsule wardrobe. I am so appreciative of great customer service!

I bought a shirt weeks ago, and now it’s on sale at 30% off. It’s like a huge price drop, and they refused to do a price adjustment. Disappointed👎

This store carries all the brands I like and it's a nice store. I've followed them on IG for a while and was excited to buy my first item from them and start shopping there regularly, but because of the customer service and dishonest sales practices, I'll start purchasing the same brands elsewhere.

This boutique has consistently exceeded my expectations. The clothes are always even cuter in person, shipping is speedy, website easy to maneuver, and communication is stellar. I just had my first experience with this boutique, and it could not have gone smoother. The customer service is top-notch!

Google
Oroboro is a fantastic shop carrying incredibly high quality pieces sourced from difficult-to-find designers. Their sales consultants help you find exactly what you are looking for. Audrey was so knowledgeable and helpful—thank you! I would recommend Oroboro to anyone interested in slow fashion and pieces with striking yet refined style. I will definitely be coming back!

Shopping should be fun, but it's not at Oroboro. I have owned a business, so I do not enjoy leaving negative reviews. This one is past due: For the second time, I have placed an online order that this unethical store has cancelled. This time, the reason: we have not gotten to our online orders since we arrived today (it's 3:15 pm) because we've been so busy, so it may NOT be fulfilled. Sounded like they'd sold the item, so I requested that it be pulled from the rack immediately, since we were already on the phone. It should be easy to check online orders before the shop opens, yes? Nope. Gone again. If you are up for each interaction (and I've purchased a few times) being a micro-aggression, including paying taxes for clothing under $110 in NY, shop here.

Google
The most beautiful selection of edited, high-quality pieces! The shop is absolutely gorgeous, and the service is above and beyond. It was just the kind of place I was hoping to find on my last trip to New York. Can't wait to visit again and luckily they have a great online shop in the meantime!

Google
The best sustainable women's clothing boutique in Manhattan. A seemingly endless display of texture-rich clothing, shoes, accessories, and home decor, formerly located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A welcome addition to the Nolita fashion scene.

Yelp
Extremely rainy day in NYC, me and my pregnant wife who are visiting from abroad were going to come here to take a look at the noragi jackets they have. There were 3 people in here, we ring the bell to go in, they make us wait, in the scolding rain. After ringing for a second time, they're telling us to wait, like if they had no time for us. Another woman was on the phone right near the door, didn't care to open it. I believe they are racist, because I'm black and looked kind of street, maybe I don't meet their "requirements" to enter their store, and maybe they don't like pregnant Asian women, that's the only reason I think they wouldn't open the door for us while it's pouring rain.

Yelp
Dude. Why does this store have such a low rating? The clothing here is kick butt. They carry a lot of small brands. Amazing colors. Things in sea foam green, bright pinks, and dull nudes. They carry a lot of brands that are hard to find other places. The shoe selection is also amazing. Highly recommend. I would say the price point is right on for the brands that they're carrying somethings are surprisingly less expensive than I would've thought. The staff is very friendly.

Yelp
I would advise against shopping here unless you love throwing away money. The selection is nice and I do love supporting indie designers but the store's policies and customer service are quite lacking for the amount of money you could be spending here. I purchased a pair of $300 earrings and when I got home, I realized I didn't love them, so I immediately called the store asking if it'd be at all possible to return or exchange the jewelry since I definitely didn't wear them. I read their exchange (they don't do returns at all, something the saleswoman neglected to tell me when I purchased the item) policy and explained that I had to catch a flight to LA the following morning and so wouldn't be able to make it back in time for the 7 day window of the policy. The woman on the the phone was polite but unhelpful. She said that if I was able to get back to the store before they closed that day she'd be able to help me exchange the earrings. It was 6:30pm, the store closed at 7pm and I live in Brooklyn, so there was obviously no way I'd make it to the store on time. The woman said she'd talk to the store manager to see if there was anything they could do for me and would get back to me with a response. I went to LA and heard nothing from the store. I got back to NYC 8 days later and the first thing I did was go to the store with the earrings to see what was going on. The woman at the counter was a different person than the one I interacted with when I had purchased the earrings. I explained the situation to her and she apologized for not getting back to me about the jewelry and now she was telling me that they didn't accept exchanges on items over the 7 day window. On top of that, they don't accept returns on pierced jewelry for "hygiene reasons." I call bullshit on the hygiene policy because they allow anyone who wants to try on earrings in the store to just try them on, which if far less hygienic than a single person who hasn't even worn the earrings holding on to them. I offered to exchange the items for anything at all, even if it cost more, just so I would actually have something I'd want to wear. The woman told me she'd ask the manager if they'd make an exception for me. The woman got back to me about the exchange and to no one's surprise, they wouldn't allow it, even if it meant potentially making more money off me and creating a satisfying customer relationship where I probably would've come back to purchase in the future. So not only did they lose a customer, they also earned this petty yelp review.

Yelp
I so fell in love with this shop in Williamsburg with inspired curation. I'm familiar with a lot of the work in here: Adina Mills rings, Abigail Chapin bags, Ghost Dancer beaded earrings, Morgan Speck ceramics, the Shelter book series. The vibe is definitely California/hippie/native/ethnic/bohemian/artsy-craftsy/new age/local/organic/etc. An abundance of leather, beads, wood, crystals, and other natural materials. There are lots of plants everywhere and gorgeous recycled wood displays. If you cranky Yelpers think it's overpriced because you can't afford to shop here, that's not BD's fault, it's yours. I can barely afford anything in here (because I also own a boutique, ha) but that doesn't mean I don't love the atmosphere of this shop and the gorgeous things they carry. It's clear the shopgirls here don't do the hard sell and let the goods speak for themselves, but the stressed-out manager definitely gave off an brusque attitude, which is ironic given all the lovey-dovey hippie vibes. A little more warmth would have been nice.

Yelp
Beautiful store filled with unique, pretty trinkets, jewels and clothes. Love the native american influences on the store design itself...lots of plants, textiles and ceramics. Prices are a little high but it seems like all the merchandise is from smaller, local brands so that's to be expected. The older lady that works there is a little annoying and gave me a really hard time today about taking a photo in the store and while I could understand where she was coming from, I think the lecture was unnecessary.

Yelp
Since I've had my own shop, I very rarely leave negative reviews, especially right now, but this is a must, sadly. Disappointing business ethic at this retail store. For the second time, I have placed an online order that the store has cancelled. This time, the reason: we have not gotten to our online orders since we arrived today (it's 3:15 pm), so it may not be fulfilled. I requested that the item be pulled from the rack immediately. Nope--gone. If you are up for each interaction (and I've purchased a few times) being a micro-aggression, including paying taxes for items under $110, shop here.

Yelp
What a find! We stumbled upon this oasis by accident and feel richer from the experience. That being said, you will not feel richer in your pocketbook when you leave this gallery of a store. Most of the unique one of a kind pieces carry hefty price tags, but consider it as investing in wearable artwork and crafts and it makes more sense. We chatted to the lovely woman who explained that each designer they feature is selected based on their carrying on or innovating a particular crafting or artistic tradition. It really does feel like a beautifully curated museum and the prices do match. There are some lower priced pieces so there is something for everyone, but its a real treat for the ladies with a special cultivated taste. Great organic skin products too! Oh and rabbit hair bikinis!

Yelp
Had a friend who had items here on consignment. The owner always is slow to pay and often times refuses to pay. If you want to support local artists DON'T SHOP HERE.

Yelp
I would like to live in this store. They have a great selection of clothes by designers like Black Crane, Lauren Manoogian and Electric Feathers as well as great books and ceramics.

Yelp
All time favorite. Everything about this place is great. I always want every single thing. And the staff are so personable-- going the extra Mike to make thoughtful recommendations-- they quickly begin to feel like friends. Only good things to say about this esthetic oasis, in a neighborhood increasingly filling up with corporate crap.

Yelp
I had a horrible experience with this store. Prior to purchasing a 250.00 pair of shoes, I called the store to ask about sizing as I saw that they do not offer refunds. The person I spoke with informed to get my usual size. When I got the boots, they were so small I could not get my foot into them. I called the store again to ask if there was any way they could make an exception considering the boots were at least one size too small. I was told to ship them back ASAP and I would get a refund once they got the shoes. Three days later I get an email saying I have a 250.00 store credit. This time I write the store an email asking them why I was told I would get a refund when I did not and someone said they would call me later. When I spoke to them later I was told there was no way I could get a refund and the employee who told me I could would get a "stern talk" for being vague ( even though she was very clear that I could get a refund). Anyway, I sucked it up and accepted my store credit seeing as how there was nothing I could do it and there was absolutely nothing I wanted to buy in the store. I ended up buying an item to try and resell it in hopes I can maybe get some of the money back I lost. I would never shop here again. I get that smaller boutiques can't offer the same policies as big chains but given that I was misinformed on more than one occasion the right thing to do would have been to give me the money back.
