The 24 Best Restaurants In Madrid - Madrid - The Infatuation

"“Let’s eat at the hotel restaurant” is a phrase reserved for jet-lagged travelers too tired to make dinner plans. But Oroya is no ordinary hotel restaurant. It’s a stunning spot located on the rooftop of the EDITION Madrid in Sol that you should prioritize dining at, whether you’re staying there or not. Everything about Oroya is beautiful, from its ceiling covered in lush foliage and Arabic-style lamps to its Peruvian pisco cocktails and compact menu, featuring Nikkei tuna tiradito arranged on the plate like art and lucuma fruit fully encrusted with a chocolate pistachio shell. Going in on the grilled sea bream covered with ají butter and huacatay and washing it down with some punch on the lively outdoor rooftop should be the plan on a balmy summer evening." - lori zaino

Inside Madrid Edition’s Pisco Bar—Perched Alongside the City’s Biggest Rooftop Pool | Vogue

"On the fourth-floor rooftop of the Madrid Edition, a breezy indoor-greenhouse room trimmed with Moroccan-style lanterns, climbing plants wrapped around square blackened-steel beams, and jewel-toned glass opens onto an expansive terrace and garden where guests lean on rattan stools beneath a vine-covered pergola, with Madrid’s biggest rooftop pool just beyond. Opening night was packed, with most guests at a long central bleached teak table and others at café-style counters, all eager for a relaxed tapas menu of family-style Peruvian staples—sea bass ceviche, fried papas rellenas croquettes, and ha-kao dumplings served with spicy parihuela seafood broth—and for the cocktails at the city’s first pisco bar, helmed by acclaimed Peruvian chef Diego Muñoz in his first-ever venue in Spain. Pisco—wine distilled into a pure grape spirit in an ancestral process dating to the 17th century—is the star here: think foamy pisco sours, capitán cocktails, tastings via a flight of three piscos, or pours selected from 15 labels spanning Peru’s five production regions, including La Caravedo. A place to see and be seen, the unique pisco program and the outdoor pool’s 60 sunbeds, 10 cabanas, and unmatched views make this one of summer’s most in-demand destinations." - Michaela Trimble

My first Peruvian meal ever. We had dinner here and it didn’t disappoint me at all , on the contrary it was one great experience and I am not exaggerating when I say one of the best meals I had in Spain. Not only the food as amazing but the service was awesome too. Our waiter - Luis Miguel - is so hospitable and very well informative of all the dishes details. His recommendations were all super with no exception. Highly recommended if you visit Madrid

We had our very first meal in Spain at Oroya Madrid, and it was unforgettable! The team gave us such incredible service because we were celebrating our honeymoon, even writing some very special words for us. The food was absolutely amazing – especially the steak, which was perfectly cooked and served with a very tasty sauce. We also got to enjoy the most beautiful sunset, and it made for an unbelievable photo. This was such a memorable experience, and we are sure we will come back again and again. Highly recommended!

The place is really amazing. Maybe as a roof top, it doesn't have nice views (because the building is short). But the place inside was really amazing and unique. The food as well was beyond great. I don't like raw fish, but when I tried it there, it was something completely different.

The ceviche is the best I’ve ever had—absolutely unforgettable! The food overall was amazing, and the flavors really stood out. The restaurant is stunning, with a great atmosphere and excellent music that added to the experience. The staff were professional and welcoming.

Nice rooftop restaurant inside the Edition Hotel Madrid. One can sit inside or outside. We decided to sit outside in the balcony. It had water mist from the ceiling to cool us as the weather was incredibly hot. We had oysters, and chicken Bao. The money from lunch did not have anything Peruvian in nature even-though it supposed to be. Perhaps that is for the evening. It can get really noisy as the rooftop pool is next to the restaurant. Also there was a live DJ playing techno music for everyone in the rooftop. Oysters were good. The Chicken Boa buns were ok, it did not have a lot of flavors.
