Google
Very knowledgeable staff member, Jimmy, on Virginia and Tennessee trout and small mouth bass fishing opportunities.

The staff was super helpful and friendly, and the store was…well, it’s an Orvis, so it’s amazing.

The staff continues to impress. Kind, professional… Logan and Jason along with everyone has made my wife and I always feel welcomed. Great gear and clothing selection as well.

Helpful staff, even if you are new to fly fishing. They are a great resource and no pressure sales team. I went on an outing through them too and it was so fun.

As soon as I walked in the door with my two grandsons, one of the staff members immediately came over and started helping. Spent the time explaining things to my one grandson, who really enjoys fishing. I will be going back for the free fly rode fishing courses I can’t say enough about how nice and helpful the staff was.

This is one of the best Orvis stores I've ever visited. Besides great fishing tackle and gear they offer regular instruction in fly fishing and fly tying - all at no charge! The personal attention of their staff reminds me of the old family owned neighborhood tackle shops that I knew and loved growing up!

I returned some items that were gifts and I did not have the receipt or much information about which Orvis stores they were purchased . But the person helping me was understanding and I could return the items without any problems. In fact he even helped me order some items online so that I do not have to pay the shipping. I have been to other Orvis stores but this one is the best. The people working here are very nice and friendly and make it so easy to shop. I will definitely return again.

Yelp
My husband likes the Orvis inventory but going into the store makes him uncomfortable. He says he feels like he's being attacked. The sales people must be on commission. He tried to keep his head down and keep a low profile when he went there today. But a bell on the door rang and several sales people ran over to assist him. He wanted to look without having someone hover over him. All this to redeem a $25 coupon. Makes him wonder if it's worth it. :)

Yelp
I've been to this location several times and the staff is always amazingly helpful, knowledgeable and very professional and willing to assist! I've taken a class here on fly tying, which was awesome... Scott has amazing patience and is a master at his craft! I came back recently to buy fly fishing gear of my own (as I used to use a guide's or friend's equipment) and got the best service and support in selecting all the items I needed to be fully outfitted! They also have some amazing and trendy, hi-quality clothing! This is my preferred Orvis location!! I highly suggest Orvis over Cabelas too!

Yelp
Orvis is the epitome of quality and service. I have been to both Orvis shops near my Mother's home in Ashburn. Recently I came to visit my Mom and planned to fish Beaverdam Resevoir. I had brought my fly rod and had a float tube sent to my Mom's house. Alas the Resevoir was closed for construction. I went to the Leesburg shop as it's closer to Mom's house to buy some leaders. I also left with a fishing shirt and Stetson hat. The shop is a marketing marvel. Impulse buy central. But really this review is about the service. I asked the sales associate, Jason, about possible local lakes to fish explaining Beaverdam was closed. He said hold on and printed out a list of Lake and creeks. I mean I wasn't expecting a list of fishing locations. I was duly impressed and grateful. Not much to say about their products as they have been known for quality. The service at both shops is outstanding. Orvis has a customer for life

Yelp
While Orvis has great clothes, I keep coming back for the fly fishing advice that the anglers in this store always have on tap for the asking. Great gear at a justified price!

Yelp
I have had multiple pleasant transactions in this store. Jason has been very helpful and personable, going above and beyond to find certain, hard-to-find items in specific sizes from other stores in their network or via their website. There is also a lovely lady who works there; her name escapes me. Today's experience was wonderful! I attended 2.5 hour Fly Fishing seminar - FREE! While billed as an introductory class for folks who have never fly fished; it is also appropriate for anyone who wants a "refresher" re: technique of casting/handling rod. All gear is provided. Just bring a good attitude, sunglasses, and a hat. The team: Scott, fishing manager, Andy, Josh, and Chuck All are patient, knowledgeable, and explain technique in easy to understand/visualize terms. I hadn't fly fished in years and have tended, historically, to "over-power" casting. Also, thorough instruction re: proper assembly of rod, mounting reel. Then, they explained function of backing, line, leader, tippet, and, finally, knots' tying options and various fly options... nymphs, dry flies, and streamers, with thorough explanation of when appropriate to use each respective type. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS AND TEAM! No pressure on participants to purchase gear; but a discount was mentioned - if one wanted to purchase gear. 'Looking forward to the next level, having my old, personal rod/reel checked out by them and getting back out on the water, regularly! Thank you, ORVIS LEESBURG!

Yelp
Great space, nice staff, comfortable experience. Nicely stocked for just about any fly fishing adventure. In general Orvis fishing tackle is priced in the middle of the industry and pretty solid quality and performance, a good buy. However, their clothing is priced at the top end with an average fit and finish compared to other major fly inspired brands. This store is worth a visit.
