Orwells Restaurant

Celebrated my wedding anniversary at this beautiful restaurant. Clearly the chefs put in a lot of effort to prepare every dish on the tasting menu. The food is fresh and delicious, and beautifully presented. Gemma was great in explaining every dish to us too.

Had an amazing meal out here tonight. From the minute we were greeted, we felt completely at home and welcome. Connie, who looked after us, was polite, knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to be around. The food is outstanding and we can’t wait to come back. The little touches such as the wax sealed birthday card upon arrival are just wonderful! Thank you to everyone involved for a truly special evening. Adam and Tegan x

We had a lovely family lunch (group of 10) this Sunday at Orwalls! The food was really splendid and the whole experience was exceptional through all the courses. We all had different dishes and each of them were prepared with such love, care and really good products. The cocktails were also good, and the card offered such large range of non-alcoholic cocktails. The wines we had were also lovely and really well matched with the dinner ♥️ We will definitely come back again! I was so enthouthiast, that I forgot to take more pictures throughout the service..

Incredible restaurant! I had a fantastic meal there last night. The tasting menu was sublime to the point where I was struggling to choose a favourite course. The prestigious wine pairing was also fantastic and complemented each course perfectly. The service was spot on too. 10/10 as an experience and will definitely be going back!

We tried Orwells today for the first time and it easily surpassed expectations. We were looking for a Sunday fine dining experience in a relaxed, comfortable environment and this filled the brief entirely. We had pre-dinner drinks outside, then moved inside for a highly impressive 3-course lunch, with accompanying side dishes and wine. Our party of 6 all enjoyed the experience and we'll definitely be going back. For starters we had the pork belly, the beef tartar and the crab tart. All were excellent, presented well, and just the right portion sizes to kick the meal off nicely. For mains we had beef, lamb and venison, with 5 side dishes. Desserts were accomplished, especially the Mille Feuille. We feel so privileged to have found this restaurant, and suspect it's well on the way to due accreditarion from the major food guides. Thank you!

Orwell’s delivered an unforgettable Christmas day lunch! The food was absolutely sublime, with every dish crafted to perfection. The front-of-house staff were warm, attentive, and made the experience even more special. Definitely a 5-star experience from start to finish – highly recommended!

Great food, slightly expensive but a must try IMO.

CertainlThis was my first visit to Orwells, and I was pleasantly surprised by their food. From the cocktails and arrival snack to the starters, main course, and dessert, everything was fantastic. I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend trying the Beef Tartare and the Roast Leg of Lockerbie Lamb.

I can't say enough good things about this stunning find. Great care and passion are experienced in every detail. The food is remarkable, but so are the people. These people love what they do and it shows. The location, for me, was remote but, well with the trip if you are anywhere in the area.

This is the new restaurant from the team who used to run the michelin-starred Goose at Britwell Salome, in the building that was the White Hart pub. There is a bar menu and a fine-dining menu, as well as handmade snacks. The food is excellent - inventive and skilled. Beer well kept. Not long until they get another michelin star, I think.

We had an excellent lunch at Orwell's today. A lovely cozy atmosphere. Each dish was an intriguing combination of flavours and textures. The wines were unique and complex. The service was the perfect combination of professionalism with a friendly attitude. We will definitely return.
