ORYZ Saigon

We had an amazing dinner at ORYZ Saigon back in September, enjoying the Hanoï-themed discovery menu. It was honestly one of our favourite dining experiences in the city. The food was creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavours that brought a modern touch to traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Each dish felt like a little surprise, and the whole menu was perfectly balanced from start to finish. A special shoutout to Chi, our server, who made the experience even better. She was warm, attentive and explained each dish with such passion. You could feel how much she cared about giving us a great evening. If you’re looking for a unique and memorable dinner in Saigon, ORYZ is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

An unforgettable dining experience at Oryz Saigon We absolutely loved our time at Oryz Saigon. The food, the vibe, and the service were all incredible. Every dish was not only delicious, but beautifully presented with stunning tableware and a thoughtful table setup that made the whole experience feel special. What really stood out was the 14-course tasting menu. Each dish was introduced step by step, with explanations about the region of Vietnam it came from and the occasions in which it’s traditionally eaten. It wasn’t just dinner – it felt like a journey through Vietnamese culture and culinary history. The presentation of the dishes was next level, truly spectacular. You can see the attention to detail and passion in every element. Our server, Tin, was amazing. We genuinely felt that her goal was to share a piece of her culture with us. She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel personal and meaningful. Overall, it wasn’t just going out for a meal – it was an experience. Highly recommend!

From the moment I arrived at the entry it was perfect. Greeted before I could even enter the door! I made a very last minute reservation yet they still managed to have my name printed for the table. The service was excellent. Cleaned the table between every dish, excellent presentation, and storytelling and good pace of service. The staff mostly spoke very good English, better than other similar venues which made it easy to follow the “journey” they brought you on. The food went beyond my expectations, I didn’t even know Vietnamese cuisine could be this elevated. The turmeric fish, bun cha and desert was outrageously good. My two favorite dishes from Hanoi and now served in a way I couldn’t even have imagined. Upon leaving I was told that they are opening a new venue, and turning oryz into a more casual one. The concept sounds incredible and I hope to be back to check it out

Very nice ambience and incredible delicious food inspired by Vietnamese cuisine. We had an amazing experience here and loved the concept of the restaurant, which takes you through a journey of the Nothern Vietnamese cuisine (with a a little twist to it). The reinterpretation of the Vietnamese dishes were very creative and delicious without losing the Vietnamese character. We went to Oryz to celebrate a friend‘s bridal shower and at the end of the journey we received a little surprise, which was very attentive of the staff. The service was also impressive. Special thanks to Dat, who was with us for the 14 courses and kept us entertained with his humor. At times, however, the service was a little bit too fast and rushed (we were still eating when the staff wanted to clear our dishes and introduce the next course). Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitively recommend to anyone who wants to experience Vietnamese cuisine in a fine dining setting. The portions were surprisingly big, we almost weren’t able to finish. Note: Be mindful that the prices are excl. VAT and service fees.

Tried Oryz and really liked the cultural concept — Vietnamese flavors with a light Chinese touch 🍜✨ Food was 7/10 ⭐️ Overall good, but there are quite a few noodle and soup dishes, so I felt full pretty quickly. Those dishes were fine, just not super memorable. Service was great 👍 Friendly and attentive staff. Space is okay, nothing too special for photos 📸 Big plus for the presentation dishes are beautifully plated and come with thoughtful stories, which made the experience more enjoyable 🎨🍽️

One of the better meals I’ve had in my life! My partner and I opted for the 14 course with sake pairing and it was nothing short of amazing. I loved the reinterpretation of the classic Vietnamese dishes and enjoyed the presentation, flavors, and ambiance. Never had Vietnamese sake before and we liked the milder taste of the ones we tried than the Japanese ones. Definitely a pricier meal in VN and I happily would do it again in the future (and perhaps try out the new restaurant Nom which is opening soon)! Shout out to Nhi for her service and assistance throughout the night!

A great cultural journey! A great journey in this gorgeous two storey restaurant. We had the very knowledgeable sommelier Anton and the very attentive attendant Nhat. It was a great gastro experience for my wife and I. The food was all well presented. Oryz prepared a fantastic cultural experience for the customers. A passport for you as you check in all the fourteen dishes to your stomach. This is extremely helpful as it helps us understand what we are eating. It also helps us appreciate the fine history of Vietnam. Ntat was helpful in explaining all the dishes and how to enjoy them. Anton was like a history teacher and explained the origins of some food. Oryz not only served us great food but let us learn more about the country too. Thank you for the experience! To add on, it was great pleasure to know the chef + owner is from the same country too! Would recommend anyone who wants to have a gastro + cultural experience of Vietnam to come Oryz!

What a discover. A chef that knows how to tell you a story, through the food, and that will catapult you in a storm of pleasing sensations. A mind blowing journey through the flavors of northern Vietnam, every dish is a discover, every bite a wonderment. It offers modern takes and twists on traditional Vietnam cuisine, and the result is amazing. Ingredients quality, balance of the flavours, astonishing taste. The staff is super efficient, never invasive, always ready. Nhi spoiled us during all the time, answered all our questions and never stopped smiling, she made perfect our already perfect dinner. This is the restaurant you need to back to, It's a place you cannot miss, they change the menu every three months, and I'll back here next time in Saigon. For sure one of the best restaurant I was in Vietnam. And not only in Vietnam.
