Exceptional execution of a cool concept - We had the Vietnamese menu that showcased famous dishes from around the country. It was as if we just traveled the whole country in 1 meal! All the main dishes were seasoned to perfection, and delicately showcased essence of each corresponding signature dish. The focus on the use of spice and condiments also elevated and enhanced the overall dining experience. We would have loved the desserts to be even more flavorful to compliment the boldness of the entrees while the kombucha pairing to be on a lighter side; But otherwise everything was perfect and we would definitely come visit again. Highly recommend and we reckon Oryz Saigon a must-visit in Ho Chi Minh City :) Being a new restaurant with only 15months of experience, this restaurant has so much potential! Keep up the good work!

It is a perfect conclusion of my trip to Vietnam, the cuisine is creative yet still stays true to their roots, and the service is warm. Their staff introduce every plate thoroughly and patiently answer my question regarding what’s behind. The menu this season is under the theme of “Vietnam”, so I go through a full food journey from north to south part of Vietnam. For the food I have eaten before, I can tell the link between and its taste. For the food I haven’t tried, I believe they also keep the authentic flavor of the original ones. My favorite part is we could season most of the plates, from adding peanuts in to stir it a little bit for our own flavor, which makes me think of the way we eat in some local Vietnamese restaurant/street food vendors, as we also need to like puzzle different elements together or add those herbs and lime etc. From my point of view, it brings the dining experience more local and some fun into the full journey. they are changing the menu soon, but I do believe, with their philosophy of keeping the nature of each dish, they could still do an amazing job in other themes!

The Vietnamese menu is absolutely fantastic, offering a chance to try all the famous dishes from north to south. Each dish comes with a brief introduction that provides cultural background, enriching the overall dining experience. The dishes complement each other perfectly and are presented in a creative and visually appealing way. The waitstaff, Tri and Nhi, were professional and kind. (There was another staff member—possibly the manager—whose name I can’t recall, but I truly appreciate her help in securing a last-minute reservation.) Thank you for giving me such an unforgettable dining experience.

We had the pleasure to dine at this Restuarant, trying out their new menu! Every dishes was executed to excellence level! Food was fresh, creative and tasty. Have tried many fine dining before but this is one of my favourite! Would definitely recommend anyone who is looking at a dinner full of surprises and explosion of flavours! Also, would highly recommend to go with the kombucha and sake pairing! The kombucha is one of the tastiest I’ve had.

Came here and got the 14 course meal because of all the great reviews and I was not disappointed! The food was so detailed, beautiful, and interesting in a good way. There was a small hiccup with one of the dishes, but it was immediately remade, the owner came down to apologize, took off the cost of one menu on the bill, and sent our table free tea. The customer service here is EXCEPTIONAL and you can really tell they care about their food and service. The dishes were meticulously explained and given tribute to their origins. They also surprised us with a small cake since this dinner was celebrating a special event for us. Thank you so much ORYZ, I will be returning again the next time I am in Vietnam!

Great service, brilliant design of menu and the entire journey throughout the meal. Had quite a lot of fine dining before even with Asian flavors, was always very French influenced. ORYZ definitely present the elements and concept of Vietnamese/ Chinese best. Highly recommend and will visit again when we are next in Saigon.

My husband and I dined at this restaurant on June 13, 2025, after multiple reservation changes due to flight delays.  The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the rescheduling process. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and escorted to our table.  The friendly staff then presented the menu, and we opted for the 14-course meal paired with kombucha and Hakurakusei sake. Our server was exceptionally attentive and provided detailed explanations for each dish.  The pairing included four distinct varieties of kombucha and sake, complementing the main courses perfectly. The entire dining experience was delightful, with every dish being exceptionally delicious. We will undoubtedly return for another visit in the future. We extend our sincere gratitude for the outstanding hospitality, particularly to our server (whose name we unfortunately didn't catch). Thank you for giving me such an unforgettable dining experience.

I recently tried Oryx Restaurant in Saigon, and it offered an interesting take on Vietnamese cuisine. The dishes were thoughtfully presented, and there were a few surprises in how they reinterpreted traditional flavors. Some combinations worked really well, while others were more unexpected. The ambiance was nice—modern and cozy, making it a comfortable place to dine. Service was attentive, and the staff took the time to explain the dishes, which I appreciated. The restaurant is located on a quiet street in the city center, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal away from the hustle and bustle.
