Osa Rooftop - Review - Pasadena - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"People love to romanticize the Hollywood Hills, but the San Gabriel Mountains look pretty damn nice from Osa. Located on top of the AC Hotel Pasadena, this string-lit rooftop is a fun spot to unwind after work with beet-infused margaritas, an order of artichoke dip, and sweeping views of the 'burbs. Apart from the juicy cheeseburger, nothing on Osa’s food menu is worth sticking around for a full meal, but book a reservation anyway because people linger here to catch the sunset. And why not? This is the best spot in the SGV to take it in. video credit: Sylvio Martins RESERVE A TABLE WITH RESERVE A TABLE Food Rundown Cocktails There’s no pool on the AC Hotel’s rooftop, but Osa’s drinks are the kind of fluorescent and fruity cocktails that taste good while roasting in the sun. Get the sweet-smoky, surprisingly boozy Cactus Cooler that cuts mezcal with two types of amaro (heck yeah). PlayMute video credit: Sylvio Martins Queso Fundido Arancini We missed the promised chorizo and poblano chiles in these fried rice balls, but they deliver on the queso that oozes out. Each order comes with three, which is plenty given their black-hole density. photo credit: Sylvio Martins Artichoke Green Chili Dip Artichoke and green chili dip sounds delicious in theory, but this just tastes like artichoke. Nothing wrong with that, though, and they do give you a generous amount of tortilla chips. photo credit: Sylvio Martins Chicken Tacos Osa gets extra credit for adding a thin cheese skirt to these otherwise bland chicken tacos. The flour tortillas taste like supermarket brand and there’s zero heat or acid (or even salsa and limes to add any). Skip. photo credit: Sylvio Martins Osa Burger By far, the best dish on Osa’s menu and also an unexpectedly great burger for a hotel rooftop. It’s one of those cheeseburgers that’s so juicy the drippings run down your arm while eating it. The truffle dijonaise doesn’t taste much like truffle, but it is delicious. Had dinner here for date night and loved it. They play black and white movies on the wall and the decor is so pretty. You would never think that this is on top of a hotel. The food was great too. I had the Steak Frites and my date had the chicken tacos. Also the Brussels sprouts were super tasty. The drinks were good. The bartender listened to what we liked and made some great drinks for us.

Loved this new rooftop in Pasadena! The views here are absolutely stunning, especially of the San Gabriel Mountains and Old Town Pasadena. Highly recommend making a reservation around sunset, as the golden hour views cannot be beat. Food was beautifully presented and delicious, as were the cocktails. We got a mix of small lol plates to share, and especially loved the peach burrata salad and salmon crudo. Came with a girlfriend, but would also be a perfect date night spot as well! They even show movies at night, which creates the perfect romantic vibe!

The vibe here is amazing ✨ My friend doesn’t drink, so I ordered a cocktail while she went for one of their zero-proof ones. The drinks were so good, and both the snacks and small plates were great. The spiced nuts with Baja honey had this perfectly sweet and spicy flavor that just sticks with me. The meatballs were delicious too. Also such a beautiful spot for a date. Definitely recommend.

Came here on a weeknight for dinner with a group and had reservations. Ambiance was rooftop casual and fun. Not too chilly as they had heater lamps nearby. But certainly can get chilly if you’re not near one. Servers were nice and friendly. But if they go on break, you will not know who to call — wished they were a bit more organized for coverage. Food wise — it was just OK — not huge menu of options and certainly surprised when menu items were often replaced with something else and was swapped out, or, day old fries be served bc they ran out of fries :/ - tartare was OK but their fried seaweed was tasty - tostones, OSA burger and salmon crudo were good - fries were a mixed bag — one plate was normal and the other was fries overly fried (can tell it was old fries) and not good at all — almost broke a tooth - they were not serving peach and swapped it with canned mandarins on their burrata salad - steak frites were a bit salty There’s a bar and 3 TVs all playing different sporting games if you’re looking to make sure not to miss a beat. Restrooms not dark and dim - thank you for that. Though a little stuffy. Parking - street meters / nearby paid parking lot.

Google
Cute terrance rooftop restaurant! At night it would better with the rooftop lights. As it cute as this spot can be. It gives off it opened too soon vibe. Almost as if they were in a rush to open this restaurant. Service was slow. Food came out before drinks. Its not refined. The menu dishes seems disoriented. Seems like everyone is still in training. Foodwise. Its pretty decent. No wow factor. Not certain if I would be back.

Went to dinner one night and loved the views. Only rooftop restaurant in Pasadena and it’s such a vibe. The food was good, we had the Steak Frites and Chicken Tacos and the Brussels sprouts for appetizers. Loved the food and definitely would like to come back with some friends.

Finally had a chance to try this place and it did not disappoint. Had to book a reservation 2 weeks ahead on weekends. The rooftop restaurant offers a huge outdoor seating area as well as plenty of indoor bar seating. Once you enter you take the elevator to the 6th floor. The menu is short and sweet, and the food is exquisite. Perfect for a date night or any group dinner. Staff are all friendly and professional.

Google
Super cute and trendy new rooftop bar in Pasadena. We had 6pm reservations and arrived a little early but they quickly accommodated us. Our servers were very nice and informed us that when the sun sets it does get a little crazy since everyone wants to watch the sunset. We ordered the beets and beef carpaccio as an appetizer and the steak and burger as our entrees. Everything was cooked well and delicious. The prices are on the higher end but you are paying for the view so it's worth it. Highly recommend checking it out at least once. Take the entrance on Colorado instead of going through the hotel. It's got a cute vibe.

Yelp
Osa was absolutely stunning!!! Being from S. Pasadena, I was so excited to hear about a new rooftop restaurant opening closeby since most are on the west side. The vibe / decor / layout was perfectly designed, and the views of City Hall and the hills are breathtaking. You get to appreciate Pasadena in a completely different way. The food was delicious...! We had the burger and it was seriously so, so good! Same with the starters and the drinks they recommended (we got mezcal cocktails). The crowd also seemed super busy and cool and it was a proud moment for Pasadena. Will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Beautiful Views, Disappointing Service (Unless You Sit at the Bar) This was our second visit to Osa Rooftop, and unfortunately, it was rinse and repeat. The service in the dining area completely misses the mark. It's a gorgeous location with stunning Pasadena views, but it feels like the staff assumes guests come here just to sit and look at the hills instead of actually enjoy dinner and drinks. The front desk gets ! Warm smiles and a friendly greeting every time. We were seated quickly, but then it took forever just to get water. We sat watching servers wander around while our glasses stayed empty. There were only four tables occupied, so it wasn't busy. When water finally came, it was warm with no ice. I'm guessing the bottom of the pitcher. Knowing how slow service was on our first visit, I immediately ordered my cocktail. Still, it took 45 minutes to arrive. When I mentioned the wait, the server said, "It's only been 10 minutes." It was 4:38, and we'd arrived at 4:00 for a 4:30 reservation. I also ordered Brussels sprouts right away (lesson learned from visit one), and those took 30 minutes and of course cold when they arrived. Obviously they sat in the kitchen under a warming lamp that didn't work. When I asked again about the drinks, I was told "the bar's backed up." There were four people behind the bar looking busy with side tasks, but no one actually mixing drinks except two that actually were possibly the bartenders. At that point, I'd had enough. I took my cold sprouts and moved to the bar. And honestly? Everything changed. The bartender was amazing. Water came immediately, my cocktail was perfect, and when I ordered another, it showed up almost instantly. The difference between the dining area and the bar is night and day. There's a serious disconnect between the kitchen, bar, and table service. If management could fix that, this place could be incredible. The location is beautiful and the vibe is great, but the slow, disjointed service keeps it from being the experience it could be. People would absolutely order more food and drinks if things just moved faster. If you're coming for the views and a relaxed drink, sit at the bar and not the high tops. That's the only part of Osa that truly gets it right.

Yelp
Had a reservation for Saturday afternoon. While the restaurant wasn't busy, it still took about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. It was another 20 minutes before our drinks and appetizer arrived, and no one checked in on us during the meal. I wanted to order another Berry Root but couldn't flag anyone down. The space itself is lovely -- great decor, plenty of natural light, and beautiful views. But unfortunately, the service just didn't live up to the setting. Food-wise, it was okay. My steak frites clearly had been sitting out for a bit and was served at room temperature. Disappointing, especially given how quiet the restaurant was.

Yelp
This place is gorgeous! Came here with my girl friends to celebrate me getting a new job. I will say, make a reservation. We unfortunately did not. We came on a whim, but we were able to sit at the bar as waited for a table to be available. We ordered a drink at the bar. The decor is so beautiful. The vibes were just super chill and the view overlooking Pasadena was just absolutely breathe taking. We ordered: *House Cocktail - Cactus Cooler *Snacks - Artichoke & Green Chile Dip *Small Plates - Wagyu and Pork Meatballs *Starters - Peach Burrata Salad - Osa Tuna Tartare Everything here was delicious. Normally I couldn't gravitate towards peach, but it was subtle and paired well. From start to finish the staff, to drinks, to food, it was great! I didn't even mind the wait, which wasn't even long by the way, because of how stunning this place is and the view. I was just taking everything in, enjoying the beauty of this place along with the company of the people I'm surround by. My favorite of out of everything would have to be the Artichoke & Green Chile Dip & the Osa Tuna Tartare. Again, wonderful service! Will plan to come back, but next time with a reservation.

Yelp
Came here last weekend with some friends after a retirement party nearby. Had wanted to check it out after hearing about a new rooftop spot, and it was literally like three blocks away, so we walked over. It wasn't very crowded on a Sunday at stuff 3p, so we were able to get a table for eight pretty easily. First, the ambience. Very nice. Have views of the foothills behind Pasadena as well as some of old town. Just very charging and quaint. We weren't overly hungry as we had smoke food at the party, but we did order drinks and appetizers. The cocktails, on menu, were creative in their own way, and some of them got while others felt like they needed more flexor to come through. As for the appetizers, we got the showering fries, which were fairly basic with garlic and truffle with with rosemary salt, and we also tried the hand pressed tostones which are twice fried banana chips served with brand and guacamole. This was a creative dish, never thought about twice frying banana chips, but that banana flavor did not come through for us, tasted more like a potato. Overall, nice ambiance with relaxing views, not overly busy. Drinks can be hit or miss and I can't really comment on the good as we only tried two appetizers. If you're looking for a new rooftop to hang out and try, you can give Osa a chance.

Yelp
Visited Osa Rooftop at the AC Hotel in Pasadena and tried the Wagyu Burger ($28) with truffle fries. The burger unfortunately wasn't amazing -- it felt a bit drenched in oil, and the patty was on the salty side. The truffle fries, however, were quite good and nicely seasoned. The real highlight was the ambiance -- dining on the rooftop with views of the San Gabriel Mountains was beautiful, especially around sunset. It's a pet-friendly spot too, which was a nice touch since our friends were able to bring their dog. Service was a bit underwhelming. The water glasses were small, and we constantly had to flag down the waiter for refills, both for water and soda. Would I come back? Maybe -- for the atmosphere and convenient location, which makes it an easy meeting point for friends. But for the food alone, probably not. Parking was easy to find on nearby streets, though it's best to watch for weekday restrictions.

Yelp
Nice rooftop option in Pasadena (aside from Granville) Located inside the AC Hotel , so make your way in and head up to the 6th floor. Nice chill ambiance once there. Great views of the Pasadena mountains. We didn't make any reservations and got there right when they opened at 4pm. We were told we only had till 6 before a reservation would take our spot. So fyi- better to make a reservation before hand to secure your spot. They were quiet busy and the place filled up fast. Our server Dylan was great! Friendly and made some great recommendations for food and drink. For our drinks we went with - Cactus cooler Drop the Beet Both tasty and tequila based, but you can get with mezcal if you prefer. Never had a beet cocktail before but it was surprisingly good. For food we ate light - shoestring fries and salmon crudo. The fries were plenty and the salmon tasty with that chili crisp. YUM YUM. Topped it off with some dirty martinis and called it a day/night

Yelp
Lookout Granville, there's a new rooftop restaurant in town. Situated on top of the AC Hotel, OSA offers a panoramic view of the SGV Mountains and the opportunity to catch a stunning sunset in the evening. I was fortunate to grab a reservation on a Friday night to celebrate my "brother's" birthday. The open-air terrace gets its charm from a desert-inspired color scheme and an Olive tree in the center. The menu features seasonal coastal Baja inspired dishes sprinkled with a bit of Cali flair. The cocktails are equally creative featuring ingredients such as beet juice & nopales. Our server was Delaiah and she was the best! Friendly & attentive the entire evening. (The two hosts that were working the night of 9/19 were also great too.) Our first round of cocktails were: Swift Relief & Triple Cali Spritz. Both were light & refreshing - perfect for the summer evening. For our second round we got Drop the Beet & Ol' Californica. I was skeptical of Drop the Beet because of the beet juice but I didn't notice it. It was a tasty twist on a margarita. The Ol' Californica was a riff on an Old Fashioned featuring a toasted walnut infused bourbon. It was exceptionally smooth. We decided to share several dishes: Roasted Beets, Peach Burrata Salad, & Truffle Shoestring Fries. Everything was absolutely delicious! The roasted beets were al dente and paired well with the whipped goat cheese. The Peach Burrata Salad featured sliced fresh peaches with charred broccolini with a green chimichurri and a creamy burrata cheese. It was exceptionally good. The shoestring fries were tossed in rosemary salt, truffle oil, & garlic. They were dangerously addicting. Just before sunset a live jazz ensemble started to perform. My brother and I soaked in the ambience and the view. What made the night even more special was Delaiah treating my brother to a birthday ice cream so he could make a wish. Thank you Deliaiah! I absolutely look forward to coming back. *Reservations strongly suggested. *Street parking.

Yelp
From the moment you step up to the rooftop, the views take your breath away. This place has got what feels like the best view in Pasadena. Now the food: seriously, really, really good. Every dish we tried was vibrant and thoughtful. The service was warm, we had Alene. She was lovely. The ambiance relaxed but elevated, and the whole setting feels like it was made for lingering over a final cocktail as the lights of the city come alive below you. If you want a "wow" night out in Pasadena, this is it. Osa doesn't just deliver food, it delivers a moment.

Yelp
We live just a few blocks from Osa and we were excited to check it out on a Friday night. Since it was a last minute decision we weren't able to find reservations. My husband, daughter (1 year old) and I were seated promptly (arriving around 545pm) - the hostess was really helpful getting up setup in a high top with a high chair (yes, strange setup but we took what we could get). We were greeted quickly once we sat down (it wasn't too busy yet). We ordered the meatballs, tostones, king salmon crudo and burger. Food was solid and simple. It's a hotel restaurant with a lovely view so expect a bit of a higher price point. They had live music starting around 730pm and it was starting to get really lively as we were leaving. There was a mix of locals and hotel residents. I'd recommend for a girls night out or date night. Tip: make a reservation to avoid service delays in the bar area / high top tables that are first come first serve

Yelp
This rooftop restaurant is the perfect spot to unwind, offering delicious food paired with breathtaking views. Order your favorite drink and enjoy the scenery. With a vibrant atmosphere, tasty dishes, and a skyline backdrop that can't be beat. It also has old movies playing in the background once the sun sets. Service is very slow so make sure you aren't starving when you get there like I was. It took about an to get my burger.

Yelp
I must write this review before I forget anyones names because they all deserve a highlight! Xavier - the best and most energetic man behind the bar. quick service. wonderful details. And that spin with the jigger! Dillon - host at the front, with the face of a soon to be model/director. So kind, personable, and welcoming. Delilah - sweetest waitress with the curls! Her energy radiated! Chris - manager, who was wonderful, talking to guests, getting feedback. Which given their recent opening, so important to do to make sure they continue to improve. Anyways, this place has been constant on my feed. I was able to enjoy a nightcap here with a few friends and glad I stayed. The evening on a rooftop brought about nice views, with Casablanca playing on the wall. Sat at their bar seating and had a manhattan. The space seems to be popular being the only rooftop in Pasadena. Will be returnin to check out their brunch.

Yelp
Amazing ambiance and vibe - so gorgeous, relaxed, and perfect rooftop with mountain views to savor our amazing SoCal weather. Just the street entrance (easy street parking, albeit metered close by), feels like you're entering into another realm - elevators up to the top and there's a fireplace with comfy small seating area, would recommend reservations. Menu is not extensive (maybe around 5 entrees) and they were out of 2 items that we tried to order - ended getting 4 appetizers to share and while none were particularly amazing to write home about (tostones with guac and bean dip were the fave) the small and larger ambiance details are worth the meal. would recommend booking to experience a gorgeous sunset, then once it's dark they projected a silent black and white movie onto the brick wall.

Yelp
Hands down, the most delicious Smashburger I've had in ages and I don't say that lightly. Osa Rooftop Bar in Pasadena absolutely nailed it. Two juicy patties, melty cheese, grilled onions, and a perfectly toasted sesame bun came together in burger bliss. I wasn't even that hungry, but honey, that burger and fries combo was unforgettable. And trust me, I know my way around a great burger joint. I stopped by with my cousin while in town for a housing convention, and we wanted a chill spot to catch up. Osa, located inside the AC Hotel Pasadena, delivered on every front. The rooftop setting offers sweeping views of Old Pasadena, City Hall, and the Capitol building. At sunset, it feels more like Miami than SoCal breezy, vibrant, and effortlessly chic. The vibe? Sexy and energetic. Fire pits, a live DJ (it was Friday night), and lively music set the tone. Even though we were seated indoors, the open layout made us feel part of the rooftop scene. The Berry Root cocktail was a standout; it was bubbly, balanced, and beautifully mixed. Highly recommend it. Service was top-tier. Our server and hostess were genuinely sweet and attentive. You can tell the staff knows they're working at one of Pasadena's hottest spots, and they bring their A-game in hospitality. We wrapped up with the chocolate mousse--light, not overly sweet, and plated to perfection. Total Instagram moment. I only wish we'd come hungrier so we could've explored more of the menu. Bonus: plenty of street parking and valet available if you're feeling fancy. Across the street is Eurth Café, another lively spot with music and a great breakfast vibe all night long. This whole area is buzzing with energy, great eats, and beautiful people of all ages enjoying the sunshine and scenery. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in LA. Osa is a must-visit destination for food, views, and vibes!

Yelp
Osa is exactly what Pasadena needed. A stunning rooftop with panoramic views of this gorgeous city, paired with a vibe that feels both elevated and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, the staff feels hand picked, attentive, warm, and skilled at creating an experience that feels special. And the food... wow. Let's talk about the Osa Burger. Quite possibly the best burger I've ever had. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and indulgent without being over the top. And those fries, oh my goodness. They brought back that nostalgic memory of McDonald's fries at their absolute best (a 15 year old memory haha). Crispy, golden, addictive, they're that good. We also tried the tostones with avocado and black bean dip as an appetizer, and it was perfection, flavorful, filling, and super shareable. A little tip, plantains are hearty, so if you're just two people, pace yourself before the main course. Definitely best enjoyed fresh at the restaurant, since tostones don't travel well. For drinks, I ordered the Merry Roses mocktail, and honestly, I couldn't even tell if it was mocktail or cocktail. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and a total palate awakener. We've already been twice, and we're planning a third visit soon to celebrate a loved one's birthday, it's that good. One note, make a reservation ahead of time, because you're going to need it. Pasadena finally has the rooftop dining spot it deserves, and Osa is delivering in every way. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Ambiance is definitely great. The food and the servers are phenomenal at night they had a movie playing, check out the food pictures!!! Dylan Frederick is absolutely ON POINT WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS, I'm telling you the next time I come here that guy is going to be the manager. He's just so professional and on point I need. Daniel Daniel was our server he paid attention and detail. He took very good care of us. His services phenomenal ask for him and I tell him I bet you. You know I'm not lying.

Yelp
Catching up with a gf at this new beautiful rooftop restaurant. the gorgeous view of the mountains = amazing. The food and service on the otherhand may be better on another night. First drink, cactus cooler was incredibly light. The ol californica was much better. Size portions were pretty good. The roasted beets was delicious. The tuna tartar was flavorless. Truffle fries needed a little more salt which took a minute to get, along with a reminder. The wagyu/pork meatballs was okay. I'll return for another try, the view is a great one so hopefully everything else will be better next time.

Yelp
The ambiance is the star of OSA's show. OSA offers an amazing view of the mountains and Pasadena City Hall. It has a desert vibe to it with olive trees, terracotta colored walls, and string lights to set a mood. Pasadena needed a space like this to spruce it up. We ordered several things on the menu to try a bit of it all. The wagyu meatballs were good, with tender meat, but I was expecting more of a kick of flavor. The salmon crudo was great, best item on the menu! The shoestring fries were okay, pretty bland. The service was good. If I were to return again it would be for the vibe and ambiance of the place, the food and drinks were average

Yelp
Pasadena just leveled up -- and it comes with a rooftop view! Decided to try this new rooftop spot in Pasadena and wow, it delivers! This area's been missing a place like this. The San Gabriel Mountains at sunset are an absolutely stunning view, and the decor blends beautifully with the view. Food highlights include: * Fried plantain chips with black bean dip and guacamole! thin, crispy, and perfectly paired with the citrusy guac. I don't even like plantains normally, but these won me over. * King salmon crudo -- I'm not a raw fish person, yet I could've easily ordered another. The salmon and avocado melt in your mouth, with white soy and fresh greens tying it all together. * Osa burger -- hands down the best burger I've ever had. Wagyu beef, gooey cheese, and just the right balance of simplicity and depth of flavor. I also like that the spread on the burger was in the bottom bun. It made a great start to every bite to get the balance of flavors. Honestly every dish feels like a masterclass in "simple but high-quality," with just a few ingredients working in perfect harmony Service was friendly and efficient; no long waits for food or drinks. Even if it had taken longer, I wouldn't have minded -- the views and relaxed vibe make you want to stay longer but I also didn't want to hold a table for too long. For a place only a few weeks old, they're already popping so I'd make a reservation for sure. Bonus tips: The portions are generous (the burger's a surprise double patty). Prices are fair for the quality and setting. Get the truffle fries -- made with real truffle oil from what I can tell because the taste is as there. Also reserve your table at least the day before! I tried just going the day before and they were completely booked and I was estimated a time of 2 hours before I could be seated so I just made a res for the next day and it was easy peasy. I'll definitely be back, especially to try the swordfish I spotted at a neighboring table.

Yelp
Short Review: Another good rooftop bar in Pasadena in addition to Granville (which is still #1). Great ambiance with cool transient music and great drink selection. The people watching, though... 2nd to none! What a scene. Long Review: Came here for the first time to see what the hype was all about. Great views of Pasadena, friendly service, good drinks and ok food. Here are the details... Food: Salmon Crudo was fishy and the Beets were not roasted well. The Charcuterie came with unsalted versions of ritz crackers versus crostinis and various crackers to be paired correctly with the meats and cheeses. Drinks: Really good in that they will substitute whatever liquor you want in any drink. Appreciate the flexibility there. Amazing customer service on their end for that. View: Amazing. Nuff said. Bar area: Good place to watch football. The best, though, is the people watching! Unbelievable! To our left were the two old ladies from Pasadena talking about the Jeffrey Epstein's and Ghislanes of Pasadena. To the right were the couple with the dog, she being too unclothed, and he being the bitter man talking trash about everyone in the bar. It was actually fascinating. So... why 3 stars? Well, mainly the food. I would recommend the place though, if you're doing a pre-dinner game here. But the food is just ok.

Yelp
After much anticipation, we finally had a chance to try the osa rooftop. Parking was a breeze. Paid for 2 hours (3 bucks) across the street. Made it up to the 6th floor. Restaurant was nicely set up and captured beautifully view of pasadena. The food is alright, we got meatballs, olive, a burger and salad. Everything tasted well. The service though. We ordered a few things while we waited at the bar. Then we were told there was a table, so we got seated. Our drinks were a glass of wine, and a glass of champagne. Both drinks with zero preparation. Just pour it from the bottle. Took them 30 minutes? The 2 appetizers came before our drinks. We asked the server to check on our drinks and since nobody came to take our order. The server was kind enough to double as the waiter and took our order. When we got our meals, they asked if I wanted another glass of wine. So I said sure. Than after waiting another 30 mins I asked for the check. 15 mins after asking for the check. They come by with the glass of wine. While we were up there, we get an alert that our 2 hour parking was up. Service is really lacking here. The whole time we were flagging random servers as we did not have a waiter. Nobody came to check on us and nobody refilled the water. We asked for ranch that never came and to go boxes are 15 feet away and after asking twice. We ended up just grabbing it ourselves. Its a nice place and maybe we caught them on an off night but very disappointed

Yelp
VIBES!!! This was our first time here and we live in Pasadena. It is a beautiful rooftop setting and they even play movies on the wall when the sun starts to go down which was so cool (no sound don't worry). We got drinks , the meatballs, and the burger. All were amazing and we were super full after ! They even gave us a cute surprise birthday ice cream for dessert. The service was great and everything came out timely. Pricing is a little steep but we found it worth it! We will def come back

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try this place and it did not disappoint. Had to book a reservation 2 weeks ahead on weekends. The rooftop restaurant offers a huge outdoor seating area as well as plenty of indoor bar seating. Once you enter you take the elevator to the 6th floor. The menu is short and sweet, and the food is exquisite. Perfect for a date night or any group dinner. Staff are all friendly and professional.

Yelp
Had a fantastic experience at Osa last night where I celebrated my birthday with girlfriends. Unfortunately, most of my party was running super late but the staff was understanding and accommodating. The views are incredible and the vibes are really nice. Great for photos. What really did it for me was the service. Our server was Ana/Anna- (sorry didn't catch the spelling) but she was one of the best servers I've had in a long time and that really made our experience wonderful. We nicknamed her Sparkles because she had fun festive makeup on and was so positive. She checked on us the perfect amount of times, made sure we were having a good time, and had impeccable timing. When we were sort of overstaying our welcome she so gently moved us to the fire pit to enjoy more drinks. The entire staff there was friendly and attentive truly. The drinks were really good. I will say the bathrooms needed a little more attention- ran out of supplies a couple times over the night and the food was solid overall but didn't wow me- I'm still counting this as a 5 star experience because the service, ambience, drinks, and overall vibes were immaculate. Thanks for such a great time and being patient and understanding. Will be back again and recommend it to others. Some tips- You can make a reservation easily on open table but I called and they were able to find a better spot for me. I got dropped off by the uber the AC hotel lounge area but the entrance is next door and there is a sign on the street. Take the elevators up to the roof.

Yelp
I had a great experience here. Great service and food . Rooftop experience was really nice. The view was mainly towards the north and slightly west. So you come here for dinner. You can see the sunset

Yelp
Came her after a few weeks of not being opened. No reservation and the staff in the front was so nice to find us seating by the bar. They all made it accommodating. We had so many drinks and food and it was so good. 10/10 for food and drinks. Service was great. I can't wait to come back l

Yelp
Excellent!!! Great chill vibe on the east side of Old Town! Met my coworkers here at their suggestion and could not be happier. I live it when the servers are attentive enough to keep my glasses filled but not up in my face every 5 minutes! That's what you get at this rooftop! Speaking of rooftop, great location on the 6th floor of the AC hotel with the San Gabriels as the north wall. It was cloudy for us, but with a clear sunset and purple mountains, can't think of a better backdrop! Most importantly, the food. Because we just met for a hangout, we ordered appetizers only. But if the meals are ANYTHING like the apps, they must be amazing! Although some prices may have been a little bit elevated, most of it was priced really well! The charcuterie board, for example, a little pricey for what you get . That said, great choice of cheeses on that board!! More meats would be great! I would be remiss to not mention the great attitude and personality of the "fill-in" manager for the weekend, Channing?, I think. She livened up our evening tight as it was starting to slow down. Gotta love that! Keep that smile coming!! Overall, a great experience that I can't wait to revisit!

Yelp
The ambience is great especially if you are there for a date. Food was alright. Drinks are more expensive than food. Service was horrible! They're non-attentive at all. Some of them seem like they hate their job. We ordered steak and it took about 45 mins to come out. No waiter came out to check on us. We saw someone walked by from the kitchen and asked about our food. She stated because our steaks were MEDIUM WELL DONE THAT'S WHY IT TAKES SO LONG TO MAKE. Yeah right just be honest and say you FORGOT OUR MEALS!! Not to mention she had a nasty attitude when I asked too. Right after that interaction, some guy brought our food out. The steak was cold!!! They also forgot our sauce!! So it proved my point. There was a solo diner next to us. He ordered a burger and they brought it out within 5 mins, then after that they disappeared on him as well. He ordered a drink and it never came. He got fed up and asked for the check. Right after he paid he mentioned about his drink. They apologized and brought it out right away. I know this place is new and still needs improvement. If They dont reevaluate their staffs, sorry it won't last long.

Yelp
I would give this place 4.5 Rooftop of the AC Hotel Pasadena. Great views, seevice, and ambiance! Loved the setting and the overall aspect of the restaurant. There is no indoor table seating. Only indoor bar. There is Outdoor patio table seating. Thank you to our waitress Eileen (Aileen?) to providing friendly service during our visit! Can't wait to visit her in the near future :)! Food was good and portion size was great - that's something I always look for. Our entrees were okay but the appetizers/starters made up for it. We ordered the following: Apps: 1-peach burrata salad It was a WARM salad that wasn't really a salad but it was delicious. Highly recommend. Comes with warm charred broccolini, sliced peaches, and warm burrata dollop. Topped with a nice vinaigrette. It was lovely! 2- toastones with guac and bean dip So good with lots of flavor. Toastones are fried plantains smashed into a small "chip". I think the bean dip has meat in it - I overheard something like that at the next table Entree: 1- steak frites - steak and fries can never go wrong. This was good but I felt like it could've been a little more elevated. It was served with I think cilantro oil (I think) and ketchup. If I could change it up, I'd love to see a different style fry and add flaky salt. It was a little bland in flavor but not to the point it couldn't be enjoyed. I still enjoyed its simplicity. If you're into something simple and filling this is still good 2 - wagyu burger - 2 wagyu patties made into a smash burger. This was chosen by my boyfriend who liked its flavor but felt like it could've been better. He said it was missing a crunch element of the burger. I would want to go back and try more menu options as they did carry some seafood options and chicken taco which sounded good. Please go try!

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance were amazing. Welcomed very warmly by the hosts, Molly and Javier. Our server was very attentive and kept us updated on our food. Everything was extremely delicious, including the mocktails. The salmon crudo and the burger are the must gets IMO. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
I saw this place on TikTok and knew I had to check it out! I decided to celebrate my birthday here with my girls on Sunday, and we absolutely loved the experience. The ambiance was beautiful, super aesthetic, and we were seated pretty quickly even without a reservation. Our waiter, Danny, was amazing....he recommended great drinks from the menu and even suggested one that wasn't listed: the watermelon margarita (which definitely deserves a spot on the menu!). We ordered rounds of the "Mama Bear" at first, but the taste was a little off. Once we mentioned it, Danny didn't hesitate to make adjustments, and the next round came out so much better. We didn't get a chance to try the food, though the menu did seem a bit limited. Overall, it was such a good experience--great vibes, great service, and a perfect birthday outing. I'd give it a solid 9/10 and highly recommend!

Yelp
I want to start off by saying that the restaurant was super cute and the view was amazing! Two downfalls were that the steak was super dry and burnt. The fries were amazing but the steak was not. The second downfall was that the server that brought our appetizer was incredibly rude. When we asked if what she brought out was the queso fundido she responded with rude tone. Overall I would give this place a 7/10

Yelp
I'll start by saying that the food here is just not good and not worth your time. Maybe the drinks are better, but I wouldn't know. The view is just OK, nothing spectacular, and the service could be better. We started off with the Peach Burrata Salad, something we thought might be light and refreshing. What we got was undercooked broccolini with unripe peaches, covered with chimichurri sauce and some burrata. Could not finish, did not want to finish. We then received the salmon crudo, which tasted fine. Unfortunately there was only 3 pieces of avocado to our 4 pieces of salmon, I guess we just had to make do. When I checked pictures from other peoples crudos posted to yelp, they had 6+ pieces of salmon, so now we feel kind of ripped off. We also got the chicken tacos and burger, in which we might as well went to a local taco stand or in and out and gotten much tastier food for much less money. Maybe drinks are the way to go, but just skip the food unless you are starving.

Yelp
The view here is beautiful and the atmosphere has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. Despite the great setting, the staff was inattentive, slow, and unhelpful, which completely ruined the experience. It's a shame because the location deserves better, but the terrible service makes it hard to recommend coming back. SAID WHAT THE PRICE OF THE BILL WAS OUT LOUD... I found that very inappropriate. I am treating guests

Yelp
We got the Caesar salad which was a very different concept but loved every bite. The portion was a bit small but we were there for the drinks and view and not so much for the food so can't complain. The service was good given they had recently opened. That usually makes a difference as the restaurant staff gets the hang of things. The view was pretty good but not at sunset. We were there during the first week when the main menu was being developed so we chose from a light menu. I enjoyed the experience and would come back for drinks.

Yelp
The food and service at OSA was excellent! We came in with a 8:00 reservation and were sat right as we walked in. Ambiance was nice, the place was packed and very lively. All of the food was amazing but the steak could use a little more work in my opinion. The drinks were fantastic and the vibes overall were very pleasant. The one thing I could say is that the menus were torn up and the pages were falling out of the booklet, our waitress went to bring another one but brought back what seemed like the same loose menu. Those menus need to be fixed as soon as possible as it kind of throws off the first impression. But all things considered I will def be back for another visit!

Yelp
Stunning ambiance with great view of the foothills and sunset. Wish we had more rooftop bars like this in Pasadena. Drinks were good - classic well crafted cocktails, but no standouts. Feel like service needs to get more into the swing of things. After we were seated, we had to wait 10-15 minutes for a server for even water. We had to ask for another waiters attention and we were then told our server was on break and we had caught them in the middle of transition right after we were seated which seemed odd. Brussel sprouts were my fave dish. The truffle fries were very soggy. Thankfully we shared this feedback and they re made another for us which were much crispier and a lot better. Meatballs were good, artichoke dip average. Overall I Would recommend for a drink or two with nice summer views, but dining and service could use improvement.

Yelp

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place. I made reservations for our friends' wedding anniversary, hoping for a nice evening out. However, upon arrival, we were told we'd have to wait because a few other parties were also waiting for tables, despite having a reservation. The hostess suggested we sit at the bar but that's not exactly ideal for a celebratory dinner. I would completely understand if we were walk-ins or just there for drinks, but with a reservation, I expected to be seated promptly at a proper table. After waiting about 20 minutes, they combined two small tables for us next to the hostess stand where people were constantly walking by or waiting to be seated. I declined that spot because it felt too busy and lacked any sense of privacy. They eventually sat us elsewhere. As for the food, the Wagyu burger was excellent, I'd order it again if visiting. Unfortunately, our entrees arrived before our appetizer, the steak frites were bland, there was little to no seasoning, and both the steak and fries arrived cold. The chimichurri sauce was okay but also lacked depth of flavor. There was also a small issue with transparency on pricing. When my husband ordered the burger, he asked what options there were for fries substitutions since we were sharing the steak and burger. The server said Ceasar salad but never mentioned there would be a $7 upcharge. We only noticed the extra charge on the bill. It's not about the cost, but it would've been nice to have that disclosed upfront. Overall, the food was underwhelming and the service could use improvement. Given all the buzz surrounding this new spot, I was expecting a much better experience. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing.

Yelp
My experience at OSA Rooftop was so upsetting that I feel I need to share it. During what was supposed to be a special evening out with my boyfriend and his parents, our server's behavior completely ruined the night and ultimately hurt my relationship. The server openly flirted with my boyfriend in front of me and his family, even going so far as to try to give him his personal phone number and Instagram handle. It was incredibly inappropriate and disrespectful. To make matters worse, he deliberately spoke to me in Spanish, knowing I don't speak the language, and made mocking comments--including calling me "hangry" when our food took over an hour to arrive. This name calling occurred more than once and when confronted, the waiter said that's how he "jokes with people." It is not my intention as a customer of a restaurant to be insulted by someone I've never met, let alone restaurant staff. Instead of professionalism, we were met with rudeness and behavior that crossed the line. This experience left me embarrassed, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. A night that should have been fun and memorable turned into something I'll never forget for the wrong reasons. OSA Rooftop may have a nice setting, but no atmosphere can make up for staff who treat guests this way. I hope management takes this seriously so no one else has to go through what I did.

Yelp
Came here with a group of friends after hearing that Pasadena has a new rooftop bar restaurant. From pictures, it seemed promising with great atmosphere and a nice view of Pasadena. We were all excited to check it out! I'm not sure if it was because this place is fairly new, but this restaurant definitely needs a lot more improvements. Menus were given to us upon being seated and the first thing we all noticed was that every single menu did not have the same exact number of pages. Some menus had the full menu including food and cocktails, while some had missing pages and there was even one that was completely blank inside! Not to mention, there were some typos. I wanted to have a glass of Rose wine and saw that the two different ones offered had the same exact description. I decided to ask the waiter, inquiring the difference between the two wines. Instead of providing an answer that was somewhat reasonable, the waiter read the menu, and just said that each of the Rose was just from a different region of California, which was obviously already written on the menu. It's alright if he didn't know the different tasting notes of the wines. I didn't expect him to know every single drink on the menu, however, he could've been more professional about it and maybe offer to ask the bartender or someone who is more well versed rather than giving me an excuse saying "honestly, we just opened and I just started working here". Waters weren't poured out for all of us consistently, and all our drinks came out at different times. He took our drink order but messed up who ordered what and seemed like he just randomly guessedwho ordered what by putting it down in front of us. Overall it took 20+ minutes for all our drinks to come out. What was even worse was that my friend ordered a white wine and tell me why our waiter didn't tell us that they were out of all white wines until 15 minutes later, when all of our drinks came out. Her new drink order was even forgotten until we had to check in with the waiter AGAIN when our food came out. Food was alright overall. We got the steak and frites and tuna tartar. Overpriced priced for the quality of food and honestly, after waiting so long for everything to come out and our waiters lack of attention, we simply weren't in the mood to enjoy the rest of our time here. All in all, there needs to be major improvements to be made and better organization management across staff and inventory checks. I'm all for hiring new staff and can understand this is a new place, but please train your staff so they maybe they can give better responses to the guests. "We just opened and I'm new here" just doesn't cut it. Also they really lack the attention to guests and the entirety of what is being served at this restaurant. It'll also help if the menus can be proofread and reprinted so that all menus are exactly the same, especially if they are all going to be nicely put in a leather printed menu cover. Although the aesthetic was there, the detail and quality service was very, very lacking. We probably won't be back for a while until maybe things have changed up a bit.

Yelp
An amazing spot with great view. Our waitress Anna, was THE BEST. She made our night and honestly would rather have no one else. The gentleman at the host stand was also great. Their energy defines the restaurants vibes. We had such a great time and everyone was so helpful. I initially saw tableside grilling and oysters on Instagram, which made me come check this place out. I was disappointed to see how little their menu was and didn't offer whatever I saw on Instagram. They do have a very interesting but short cocktail list. I would've liked to see more options. That said, the food was great! The ahi tuna and marinated olives were my favorite!
