Osa Rooftop - Review - Pasadena - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"People love to romanticize the Hollywood Hills, but the San Gabriel Mountains look pretty damn nice from Osa. Located on top of the AC Hotel Pasadena, this string-lit rooftop is a fun spot to unwind after work with beet-infused margaritas, an order of artichoke dip, and sweeping views of the 'burbs. Apart from the juicy cheeseburger, nothing on Osa’s food menu is worth sticking around for a full meal, but book a reservation anyway because people linger here to catch the sunset. And why not? This is the best spot in the SGV to take it in. video credit: Sylvio Martins RESERVE A TABLE WITH RESERVE A TABLE Food Rundown Cocktails There’s no pool on the AC Hotel’s rooftop, but Osa’s drinks are the kind of fluorescent and fruity cocktails that taste good while roasting in the sun. Get the sweet-smoky, surprisingly boozy Cactus Cooler that cuts mezcal with two types of amaro (heck yeah). PlayMute video credit: Sylvio Martins Queso Fundido Arancini We missed the promised chorizo and poblano chiles in these fried rice balls, but they deliver on the queso that oozes out. Each order comes with three, which is plenty given their black-hole density. photo credit: Sylvio Martins Artichoke Green Chili Dip Artichoke and green chili dip sounds delicious in theory, but this just tastes like artichoke. Nothing wrong with that, though, and they do give you a generous amount of tortilla chips. photo credit: Sylvio Martins Chicken Tacos Osa gets extra credit for adding a thin cheese skirt to these otherwise bland chicken tacos. The flour tortillas taste like supermarket brand and there’s zero heat or acid (or even salsa and limes to add any). Skip. photo credit: Sylvio Martins Osa Burger By far, the best dish on Osa’s menu and also an unexpectedly great burger for a hotel rooftop. It’s one of those cheeseburgers that’s so juicy the drippings run down your arm while eating it. The truffle dijonaise doesn’t taste much like truffle, but it is delicious. Super cute and trendy new rooftop bar in Pasadena. We had 6pm reservations and arrived a little early but they quickly accommodated us. Our servers were very nice and informed us that when the sun sets it does get a little crazy since everyone wants to watch the sunset. We ordered the beets and beef carpaccio as an appetizer and the steak and burger as our entrees. Everything was cooked well and delicious. The prices are on the higher end but you are paying for the view so it's worth it. Highly recommend checking it out at least once. Take the entrance on Colorado instead of going through the hotel. It's got a cute vibe.

Osa Rooftop is such a hidden gem in Pasadena! The ambiance is gorgeous with unbeatable views of the San Gabriel Mountains. We started with their mocktails (so refreshing!) and shared a few small plates—highly recommend the tuna tartare, wagyu meatballs, and tostones. The burger honestly blew me away, one of the best I’ve had this year, and the steak frites under $30 is such a deal for a rooftop. Ended the night with gelato while watching the sunset. Overall a nice addition to Pasadena.

Google
The food and views are amazing. Our service was horrible. Our lady stopped by twice at the beginning and never saw her again. We were finished with our food and drinks sat there waiting for our waitress so we can ask for our check...she never came. I had to ask another lady to help us and she got someone else to do it. Total time to just get our check was 30 mins. Maybe it's because they are new but it left an impression.

Loved this new rooftop bar. The cheeseburger and crudo were 10/10, loved the atmosphere and can’t wait to come back

Google
It's clear they're still getting into the swing of things as a very new place. I will definitely try it out again in a month or two. They were lots of little misses on the food and service, but overall it's a gorgeous spot with amazing vibes. I wouldn't recommend for kids, as we brought a 2yr old and the didn't have a water cup option or highchair.

Google
Highly recommend going here for a date night spot with friends or family. Love the service and vibe. Great rooftop spot for dinner and drinks!

Google
(Hate leaving bad reviews)...Cool view, nice vibe, burger was good...but steak and frites came out cold with hot fries, my stomach's been hurting since I left the place. Bar tender was cool but went MIA, never asked how my food was, never asked if I wanted another drink. The place is new and eventually might be a decent spot.

Pro’s: Nice view of Angeles mountains and the drinks were decent. Con’s: Service was a terrible experience. Our server came to the table after about 10 minutes of waiting and apologized profusely. He brought us our drinks and appetizers but he then went missing for about 30 minutes. He was nowhere to be seen so we had to get a random server’s attention to get the check to leave. The view of the sunset is blocked by wall on western side of the bar which was a let down because this place was getting hype on social media for a good sunset view.

Yelp
Heard about a new rooftop bar opening in Pasadena through Instagram. The pictures on their page looked great, and I quickly booked a table for this Thursday night for my fiancé and I. Upon arrival, we were greeted and quickly in the middle of the rooftop. The rooftop has a beautiful view of Pasadena and the mountains. Our service was fantastic, and the waiter helped recommend us a drink from their cocktail menu. I love a sweet cocktail and the Swift Relief was refreshing and delicious. My fiancé enjoyed his Ol' Californica as well, which was similar to an Old Fashioned. We ordered the Peach Burrata Salad and Artichoke Dip for starters. The broccolini on the Peach Burrata was delicious. We then ordered the steak frites and Osa Burger. Truthfully, the burger might have been the best burger I have ever had. I recommend it to everyone to try! My fiancé almost ordered one to take home. My take aways from the evening are great service, some tasty food, and unbeatable views. This new restaurant is going to blossom into the place to be and what Pasadena has been needing.

Yelp
We had a great time overall--my friend and I really enjoyed the experience. The tuna tartare wasn't the best--it looked a bit brown and didn't seem super fresh. We each had two cucumber vespers, which tasted good at the time. Unfortunately, we both woke up in the middle of the night feeling really nauseous and ended up throwing up. Hard to say whether it was the fish or the drinks that caused it. That said, I'd still consider going back--just skipping the raw fish next time and sticking to Prosecco in case the quality of the alcohol was the cause of it all.

Yelp
Really sick venue with a great view. Food and drinks were amazing and the staff is all super hot.

Yelp
I must write this review before I forget anyones names because they all deserve a highlight! Xavier - the best and most energetic man behind the bar. quick service. wonderful details. And that spin with the jigger! Dillon - host at the front, with the face of a soon to be model/director. So kind, personable, and welcoming. Delilah - sweetest waitress with the curls! Her energy radiated! Chris - manager, who was wonderful, talking to guests, getting feedback. Which given their recent opening, so important to do to make sure they continue to improve. Anyways, this place has been constant on my feed. I was able to enjoy a nightcap here with a few friends and glad I stayed. The evening on a rooftop brought about nice views, with Casablanca playing on the wall. Sat at their bar seating and had a manhattan. The space seems to be popular being the only rooftop in Pasadena. Will be returnin to check out their brunch.

Yelp
A cool rooftop experience On Colorado ave old town Pasadena. We arrived around 630 the place was packed. There was a dj playing chill beats servers floating around handing out different dishes. They had some delicious drinks too one with beet juice who knew? Definitely a spot for happy hour and beyond Cheers

Yelp
The setting at Osa Rooftop is hard to beat. The decor is sleek, the ambiance is lively without being over the top, and the service really stood out. The tuna appetizer was a strong start and had me thinking the rest of the menu would deliver. Unfortunately, the cheeseburger did the opposite. Something that simple should be a slam dunk, but it was so off I had to return it. Drinks were tasty but priced like you are in Hollywood, not Pasadena, which stung a bit. Bottom line: the views and vibe are the reason to come, but I will wait to see if the food menu levels up before making this a go-to spot.

Yelp
Hands down, the most delicious Smashburger I've had in ages and I don't say that lightly. Osa Rooftop Bar in Pasadena absolutely nailed it. Two juicy patties, melty cheese, grilled onions, and a perfectly toasted sesame bun came together in burger bliss. I wasn't even that hungry, but honey, that burger and fries combo was unforgettable. And trust me, I know my way around a great burger joint. I stopped by with my cousin while in town for a housing convention, and we wanted a chill spot to catch up. Osa, located inside the AC Hotel Pasadena, delivered on every front. The rooftop setting offers sweeping views of Old Pasadena, City Hall, and the Capitol building. At sunset, it feels more like Miami than SoCal breezy, vibrant, and effortlessly chic. The vibe? Sexy and energetic. Fire pits, a live DJ (it was Friday night), and lively music set the tone. Even though we were seated indoors, the open layout made us feel part of the rooftop scene. The Berry Root cocktail was a standout; it was bubbly, balanced, and beautifully mixed. Highly recommend it. Service was top-tier. Our server and hostess were genuinely sweet and attentive. You can tell the staff knows they're working at one of Pasadena's hottest spots, and they bring their A-game in hospitality. We wrapped up with the chocolate mousse--light, not overly sweet, and plated to perfection. Total Instagram moment. I only wish we'd come hungrier so we could've explored more of the menu. Bonus: plenty of street parking and valet available if you're feeling fancy. Across the street is Eurth Café, another lively spot with music and a great breakfast vibe all night long. This whole area is buzzing with energy, great eats, and beautiful people of all ages enjoying the sunshine and scenery. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in LA. Osa is a must-visit destination for food, views, and vibes!

Yelp
Osa is exactly what Pasadena needed. A stunning rooftop with panoramic views of this gorgeous city, paired with a vibe that feels both elevated and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, the staff feels hand picked, attentive, warm, and skilled at creating an experience that feels special. And the food... wow. Let's talk about the Osa Burger. Quite possibly the best burger I've ever had. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and indulgent without being over the top. And those fries, oh my goodness. They brought back that nostalgic memory of McDonald's fries at their absolute best (a 15 year old memory haha). Crispy, golden, addictive, they're that good. We also tried the tostones with avocado and black bean dip as an appetizer, and it was perfection, flavorful, filling, and super shareable. A little tip, plantains are hearty, so if you're just two people, pace yourself before the main course. Definitely best enjoyed fresh at the restaurant, since tostones don't travel well. For drinks, I ordered the Merry Roses mocktail, and honestly, I couldn't even tell if it was mocktail or cocktail. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and a total palate awakener. We've already been twice, and we're planning a third visit soon to celebrate a loved one's birthday, it's that good. One note, make a reservation ahead of time, because you're going to need it. Pasadena finally has the rooftop dining spot it deserves, and Osa is delivering in every way. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Ambiance is definitely great. The food and the servers are phenomenal at night they had a movie playing, check out the food pictures!!! Dylan Frederick is absolutely ON POINT WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS, I'm telling you the next time I come here that guy is going to be the manager. He's just so professional and on point I need. Daniel Daniel was our server he paid attention and detail. He took very good care of us. His services phenomenal ask for him and I tell him I bet you. You know I'm not lying.

Yelp
Pasadena just leveled up -- and it comes with a rooftop view! Decided to try this new rooftop spot in Pasadena and wow, it delivers! This area's been missing a place like this. The San Gabriel Mountains at sunset are an absolutely stunning view, and the decor blends beautifully with the view. Food highlights include: * Fried plantain chips with black bean dip and guacamole! thin, crispy, and perfectly paired with the citrusy guac. I don't even like plantains normally, but these won me over. * King salmon crudo -- I'm not a raw fish person, yet I could've easily ordered another. The salmon and avocado melt in your mouth, with white soy and fresh greens tying it all together. * Osa burger -- hands down the best burger I've ever had. Wagyu beef, gooey cheese, and just the right balance of simplicity and depth of flavor. I also like that the spread on the burger was in the bottom bun. It made a great start to every bite to get the balance of flavors. Honestly every dish feels like a masterclass in "simple but high-quality," with just a few ingredients working in perfect harmony Service was friendly and efficient; no long waits for food or drinks. Even if it had taken longer, I wouldn't have minded -- the views and relaxed vibe make you want to stay longer but I also didn't want to hold a table for too long. For a place only a few weeks old, they're already popping so I'd make a reservation for sure. Bonus tips: The portions are generous (the burger's a surprise double patty). Prices are fair for the quality and setting. Get the truffle fries -- made with real truffle oil from what I can tell because the taste is as there. Also reserve your table at least the day before! I tried just going the day before and they were completely booked and I was estimated a time of 2 hours before I could be seated so I just made a res for the next day and it was easy peasy. I'll definitely be back, especially to try the swordfish I spotted at a neighboring table.

Yelp
Short Review: Another good rooftop bar in Pasadena in addition to Granville (which is still #1). Great ambiance with cool transient music and great drink selection. The people watching, though... 2nd to none! What a scene. Long Review: Came here for the first time to see what the hype was all about. Great views of Pasadena, friendly service, good drinks and ok food. Here are the details... Food: Salmon Crudo was fishy and the Beets were not roasted well. The Charcuterie came with unsalted versions of ritz crackers versus crostinis and various crackers to be paired correctly with the meats and cheeses. Drinks: Really good in that they will substitute whatever liquor you want in any drink. Appreciate the flexibility there. Amazing customer service on their end for that. View: Amazing. Nuff said. Bar area: Good place to watch football. The best, though, is the people watching! Unbelievable! To our left were the two old ladies from Pasadena talking about the Jeffrey Epstein's and Ghislanes of Pasadena. To the right were the couple with the dog, she being too unclothed, and he being the bitter man talking trash about everyone in the bar. It was actually fascinating. So... why 3 stars? Well, mainly the food. I would recommend the place though, if you're doing a pre-dinner game here. But the food is just ok.

Yelp
An amazing spot with great view. Our waitress Anna, was THE BEST. She made our night and honestly would rather have no one else. The gentleman at the host stand was also great. Their energy defines the restaurants vibes. We had such a great time and everyone was so helpful. I initially saw tableside grilling and oysters on Instagram, which made me come check this place out. I was disappointed to see how little their menu was and didn't offer whatever I saw on Instagram. They do have a very interesting but short cocktail list. I would've liked to see more options. That said, the food was great! The ahi tuna and marinated olives were my favorite!

Yelp
The food is AMAZING and the service is top tier. I went two days in a row. The first night, Jordan was our server, he was so on top of everything and his personality was extremely charismatic. As for my meal, I had the Brussels as a shareable and the Chard Chicken tacos, both items were so good I couldn't stop eating...I really wanted too, because I wanted dessert. Since I was pleasantly satisfied with my meal and service Friday night, went back Saturday night, to celebrate our Anniversary. On Saturday I had the Steak Frites (I subbed the Frites for Brussels). The Steak was nice and juicy and the brussel hit the spot again. This time I left room for dessert and had the mouth watering Chocolate Mousse cake. The combination of cake and moose with chocolate drizzle, was chef's kiss good. When it comes to the ambiance, for it to be a rooftop bar, the temperature was absolutely perfect. I'm always worried about being too cold, but luckily it's been pretty hot in Pasadena. It was a romantic candle light dinner experience. Osa was the perfect place to celebrate our 10yr wedding anniversary.

Yelp
I'll start by saying that the food here is just not good and not worth your time. Maybe the drinks are better, but I wouldn't know. The view is just OK, nothing spectacular, and the service could be better. We started off with the Peach Burrata Salad, something we thought might be light and refreshing. What we got was undercooked broccolini with unripe peaches, covered with chimichurri sauce and some burrata. Could not finish, did not want to finish. We then received the salmon crudo, which tasted fine. Unfortunately there was only 3 pieces of avocado to our 4 pieces of salmon, I guess we just had to make do. When I checked pictures from other peoples crudos posted to yelp, they had 6+ pieces of salmon, so now we feel kind of ripped off. We also got the chicken tacos and burger, in which we might as well went to a local taco stand or in and out and gotten much tastier food for much less money. Maybe drinks are the way to go, but just skip the food unless you are starving.
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
We got the Caesar salad which was a very different concept but loved every bite. The portion was a bit small but we were there for the drinks and view and not so much for the food so can't complain. The service was good given they had recently opened. That usually makes a difference as the restaurant staff gets the hang of things. The view was pretty good but not at sunset. We were there during the first week when the main menu was being developed so we chose from a light menu. I enjoyed the experience and would come back for drinks.

Yelp
View is Amazing. . . Ambiance was perfect not too busy on a weekday evening. . . Mezcal drinks were perf and pretty Definitely coming again

Yelp
Stunning ambiance with great view of the foothills and sunset. Wish we had more rooftop bars like this in Pasadena. Drinks were good - classic well crafted cocktails, but no standouts. Feel like service needs to get more into the swing of things. After we were seated, we had to wait 10-15 minutes for a server for even water. We had to ask for another waiters attention and we were then told our server was on break and we had caught them in the middle of transition right after we were seated which seemed odd. Brussel sprouts were my fave dish. The truffle fries were very soggy. Thankfully we shared this feedback and they re made another for us which were much crispier and a lot better. Meatballs were good, artichoke dip average. Overall I Would recommend for a drink or two with nice summer views, but dining and service could use improvement.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance were amazing. Welcomed very warmly by the hosts, Molly and Javier. Our server was very attentive and kept us updated on our food. Everything was extremely delicious, including the mocktails. The salmon crudo and the burger are the must gets IMO. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
My husband and I tried Oso last night. The rooftop setting is charming at first glance, but the space is very tight--narrow, crowded, and a bit overwhelming. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the atmosphere. We started with the spiced nuts, which were served oddly in a martini glass. They were sticky, clumped together, and difficult to eat without a fork. The honey coating overpowered the light spice, leaving them more messy than enjoyable. The meatballs, a mix of pork and beef, were disappointing as well--dry, unevenly mixed, and not very flavorful. For our main, we ordered the steak and fries. The steak was cooked to medium, which was fine, and the fries were decent--hard to go wrong there. The cocktail I tried, an Aperol Spritz, was refreshing, but when we ordered wine from the menu, we were told it wasn't available and had to choose something else. Overall, I'd give the experience a 2 out of 10. The rooftop ambiance can't make up for the mediocre food and tight, crowded setting. Not a place I'd return to.

Yelp
It's on the rooftop of the AC Hotel. Super cute entrance from downstairs. I was NOT expecting the food to be amazing. Wow. Everything we got was 10/10. My favorite was the peach burrata salad. The peach was so sweet and it melted in your mouth with the burrata. The dressing with the little crunches was amazing. The meatballs with the bisque sauce was also really good. The brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection with the perfect pomegranate touch and crunch. Chefs kiss. the ambiance was wonderful. Super chill. Our server Jordan was also really nice and attentive. I would def return. Cute little spot.

How dare they.... Make a wagyu burger that will command my attention once maybe twice a month. Well done Space is great, amazing views and great food. Get over here.

Yelp
I recently planned an after-work get-together and decided on this venue. I started the planning process about a week out, and the communication with Chris was great. I really appreciated his politeness and how he answered all of my questions, which made the entire process so much easier. The rooftop bar is exquisite. The views are stunning, and the overall flow of the space really works. What really stood out was the attention to detail. While the food is undoubtedly great, the cocktails are on another level. I'm a sucker for a well-made drink, and these were absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait to go back

Yelp
I will start by commending them on a great location for a rooftop bar in Pasadena. Wonderful views! Everything else unfortunately lackluster with the exception of the crispy Brussel sprouts, those were delicious. I ordered the steak and frites, which was pretty underwhelming in taste. Couldn't taste any flavor of the steak itself, and it tasted more so like the grill (if that makes sense), so I wonder if that's mainly attributed to the cut and type of meat they have in house. The service, by far the most underwhelming. By all means they're friendly! However it took some time to get waited on/get waters/drinks/food order. And after we got all that, we didn't get checked in on regularly, maybe one time if memory serves me correctly. I would've loved to have another drink (which was decent) but I never got asked and I didn't want to bother the staff. Over all I'd say 6.5-7/10 on my experience. I don't usually review restaurants so (to me) this says a lot haha. Also on the way out, it would've been nice if the staff had wished us good bye or offered gratitude for visiting, instead it felt like we committed an Irish goodbye/exit without intending to. I'm a native Pasadena resident so I'd love for this place to improve, as of now I'd say they're a work in progress.

Yelp
We had a reservation at 4:00 PM for a party of three but arrived around 4:30 PM. Fortunately, we found street parking nearby--though it's unclear what other parking options are available. The host was delightful--high energy and happy to chat. We were seated within a couple of minutes, and our server, Jordan, came by within five minutes. The menu offered lots of appealing options, and service started out strong. I also appreciated the cactus cooler, a fun and refreshing drink choice. Food Highlights: Hand-Pressed Tostones with Guac: Absolutely amazing--crispy, fresh, and paired perfectly with the guacamole. Spicy Black Bean Dip: Underwhelming. It mostly just tasted like refried beans with minimal spice. Roasted Beets with Whipped Goat Cheese: A standout dish. The beets were smooth and flavorful without the overpowering earthiness you sometimes get. The whipped goat cheese was a showstopper. Service Note: As the evening went on, service started to decline--likely due to an increase in guests. Water refills became inconsistent, and empty dishes sat on the table longer than they should have. After requesting the check, it took about 20 minutes to close out, which was a disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable meal.

Yelp
Loved this rooftop! Great views and drinks. I loved their spin on the Aperol spritz. Had two of those!

Yelp
The ambiance is truly picturesque, with a rooftop that offers a beautiful sunset view and a projector playing classic movies--a lovely touch that makes the setting feel unique. Our hosts, Javier and Emma, provided outstanding service. They were so accommodating, courteous, friendly, and attentive, which made us feel very welcome. While the bar experience before being seated wasn't quite on the same level--the service there felt a bit hurried--it may have just been a busy moment. Once seated, our server encouraged us to keep pace, which didn't leave as much room for us to linger and enjoy at our own rhythm. As for the food, I ordered the Osa burger and my boyfriend had the pollo asado tacos. The flavors were okay, though I personally would have preferred a bit more of that smoky, charred taste with the chicken. With a few refinements, the dishes could really match the charm of the overall setting.

Yelp
Lovely rooftop in pasadena, perfect for summer nights! Easy to miss the entrance but once you're up there the view is beautiful, such a rare find in the area. Everything we tried was tasty but my standouts were the meatballs, salmon sashimi, and the beet cocktail!!

Yelp
Pretty rooftop and yummy drinks! Would def go back to try out more of their food. Their swordfish stood out to me

Yelp
Had a great time at OSA Rooftop at the AC Hotel! The Mountain View's were beautiful. Ambient music=vibey. Food 8/10. I had the artichoke dip and chips, the Osa burger, the salmon crudo, and the Caesar salad. Absolutely recommend the salmon crudo and artichoke dip. All dishes were WELL seasoned. Service was extremely quick and attentive. Morgan's friendly and welcoming personality made the evening exceptional. Whole experience 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.

Yelp
It's a super cute rooftop spot in Pasadena that's perfect for dates, hangouts and more! If you go at the right time, you can catch the stunning sunset! I definitely recommend getting drinks with friends and sharing apps!

Yelp
I love this new rooftop restaurant. Pasadena very much needed this and with an amazing view of the mountains. The food was absolutely amazing especially the salmon crudo. It was to die for. I also got the burger and they cooked it a perfect well done burger and it melted into my mouth. Rene was my server and he was very charismatic and attentive. Always checked up on us and made some great recommendations. I will definitely be a regular here

Yelp
Osa is just what Pasadena needed!! It's super cute and trendy. I stopped by on a Friday night around 7 and it was packed!! We were lucky enough to snag seats at the bar, but I definitely recommend making reservations. I had a watermelon mint margarita and it was so refreshing. The ambiance was spot on and the rooftop views of the city really elevated the whole experience. I am already planning my next visit -- this time with a reservation for dinner.

Yelp
Ordered their burger and steak/ frites. The ambiance was nice and modern. The burger was okay, nothing to rave about or pay $26 for. Although the steak was so underwhelming, asking for medium rare and getting medium well instead. Got presented with basically leather, it took my partner and I a minute to chew each piece. Left my jaw feeling so sore after when I sent back the steak, the remade steak felt even chewier than the last. Their cuts of meat are cheap for the price you're paying, rather go to sprouts and cook it myself. The only thing good about this experience was the red haired girl who was nice and understanding the whole time.(wish i got her name great service to u!) If you don't finish your food don't worry the overwhelming amount of gnats will finish it for you.

Yelp
The ambiance is great, drinks are satisfying, service prompt. BUT a lot of fruit flies. I guess that is the nature of a bar. Had to swat a few away before they flew off with my drink.

Yelp
Great vibes, nice rooftop view, great service. Drinks were good. Food was overall good. The queso fundido was amazing. The steak frites was mid. The burger was also very good and the fries were delicious. Would also recommend the beach burrata salad with broccolini.

Yelp
The food is exquisite, and the drinks will have you wanting more! Perfectly curated menu for even the snobbiest pallet! I was able to go during golden hour, and the views are amazing. I must say! The bartenders were so nice and had some great recommendations as well! Definitely worth going too!

Yelp
The ambience & the staff were incredible! We got the tuna tartare and it was delicious. I got a marg that needed to be remade because it was lacking a little flavor & our server, Jordan, went above and beyond with the service! Overall, great experience & the staff were so kind as well. Will be back soon!

Yelp
Checked out this new rooftop restaurant / bar in the AC Hotel in Pasadena. Today was their official opening day but was open a few weeks before for a soft opening. The decor and space is really nicely payed out for the small space. We made a reservation but were seated inside by the bar. We requested to get a better seat outside in the rooftop and was able to be accommodated by the manager. Both of our servers were lovely and made great suggestions. We tried the Fried Queso Fundido, OSA Burger and the Roasted Chicken. The Burger was perfection but the Chicken was all over the place. It included gravy, some kind of sweet sour sauce, tortillas and a celery salad with no dressing. Would not recommend, the kitchen staff faced some miscommunication but we didn't get out appetizer until after the meal. Brenda was amazing and took care of the Fried Queso Fundido, tried them at home and do not recommend them as well. The chorizo was more like a ground beef and the fried spheres are mostly filled with rice and none of the queso or poblano as stated on the menu. They did have a seasonal menu but did not get to explore. The atmosphere was nice a bit noisy as the tables are very closely to one another but the view and the breeze was great.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of attending a yelp event at the Osa restaurant, and I was blown away. The rooftop is one of very few in downtown Pasadena, and this one is done beautifully. The views of the mountains and the modern space is breathtaking. It's spacious yet cozy and would be a nice spot for a date night or group. Finally, the food! Everything was delicious but the highlights were the swordfish with a drizzle of green sauce and the wagyu burger which was so juicy and flavorful, i'm craving another! Will definitely go back soon!

Yelp
So it was our first time visiting. We had a lovely time and I want to be balanced as to what was great and what can use some fine tuning. But let me start off by saying I'm happy this place is in pasadena and I look forward to its potential! The good: 1) the servers from host (who was more than accommodating and lovely) to the waiters (who were patient) to the person serving our wine (who was attentive and had a sense of humor), to the bus boys.... All were lovely and made the experience lovely. 2) the location, set up, ambience all were excellent 3) the burger was great and the wine bottle we got was excellent!. The Parmesan fries were also well done. The 'needs fine tuning': Guys ... we are in so cal.. Great food is our thing ... I would hate if this place became a one time stop or a stop for drinks 'but the food is meh'... there are some items that can be improved upon. 1- all raw food should be fresh and excellent 2-if you say you have a charcuterie and cheese plate... please Make sure it's not something Starbucks or lunchables can make... you are sharing a neighborhood with great cheese places like Agnes... have good tasting fancy cheese .. served with proper fancy crackers (not what I swear was ritz crackers) and nuts and fruit... I felt I was having cheese and crackers in an airplane. 3-if you want to serve stuffed olives... serve them stuffed with something interesting... not velveeta (or at least something that looks like velveeta) 4- have more salads on your menu.. again it's so cal... some of us eat steak and frite and burgers and a lot of us like a fresh salad to munch on that isn't Caesar.... The menu is so 'unimaginative' hotel style... and yes you are in a hotel.. but you are competing with great pasadena restaurants... you can up the ante :) we expect you too. All in all I would come again... the bones of a great place are here... just needs a sprinkling of foodie imagination and creativity.

Yelp
We made outdoor rooftop reservations two weeks in advance, however we were seated inside right beside the bar. A very small drinks table with barstools, not comfortable and very noisy. Hard to have a conversation. Complete opposite of what it was supposed to be. Extremely disappointed. The food was ok, just ok. More bar food than restaurant. Service wise they were nice but very inexperienced. Poorly trained. The view from inside the bar was basically no view. Looking at other reviews many are very similar and the restaurants replies sound more like an AI ChatBot than a person: "We're sorry....repeat some points made....they'll notify the team....and hope to welcome you back". Very generic, again disappointing.

Yelp
Worth visiting around Sunset for the view. In short food is fine, drinks are fine, service is good. It ends up being a better than average hotel restaurant rather than a real destination restaurant. Arrival was a little odd. I later found a crazy tunnel with billowing fabric and strange lighting that I suppose is the intended entrance, but initially entered through the lobby, and guessed that I just go up the normal guest elevator to the top floor. View was immediately stunning. Decor is good if de rigueur. Feels like a budget version of the decor at Agua Viva at the Conrad. Menus are initially impressive but ultimately annoying. Heavy leather bound with a strap, paper falling apart inside. Odd to mention at all, but they kind of demand attention which is annoying in itself. We ordered "Marinated Stuffed Olives" which were actually olives fresh out of the jar stuffed with Queso??? One of the worst dishes I've ever been served at a restaurant. Looked disgusting, tasted awful. Also was just a shock to the system. Felt like a prank. Otherwise we had Tacos which were better than average, and steak frites which were about what you'd expect for a hotel steak frites. Really tasty fries and average steak. The cocktail menu was done by the mixologist from Capri Club, which is why we were excited to try this restaurant, but it ultimately is pretty standard hotel cocktail fare. Understandable to play to the middle for a hotel restaurant, but disappointing. A fine place to go if you are staying at the hotel or want somewhere to watch the view, otherwise skip it.

Yelp
I am so glad that Pasadena has their own rooftop with different seating arrangements that is perfect for a group birthday dinner, romantic date, friend meetup (or a drink at the bar area with mocktail options) etc.! One of my favorite seating options is the booths that have the perfect view of the sunset and mountains! Golden hour sunlight illuminates these tables and the food which leads to a sunset glow!

Yelp
Their foods definitely needs to be improved. if you're looking for a good rooftop ambiance yes! This restaurant has a good ambiance. Service was good. Shoestring Fries: in the menu says Rosemary salt, truffle, garlic. 4/10. Barely taste the truffle!! I swear! Peach Burrata Salad: not enough flavor. 3/10 Crispy Brussel Sprout: this the only dish that has a good taste 8.5/10 Grilled Swordfish: the fish is dry! No flavor at all. The only helps was creamy yellow corn. 4/10 Charred Chicken Taco: oh gosh this one. Please at least don't use store bought flour tortillas. The chicken taste unpleasant. We couldn't even finish it. 0/10

Yelp
Osa is a really beautiful rooftop bar and just what Pasadena needs. We were really excited to celebrate our friend's birthday here. I know they haven't been open for long, but service was still disappointing. The servers didn't know their alcohol list, or the food menu well. They were out of a few food items that we tried to order because the night before was busy. My husband tried to ordered three different drinks which they were also out of. One was a beer, a liquor based drink and then an iced tea. Our server didn't even offer to make iced tea, she just laughed and said they were out which I found rude and unprofessional. The steak frites were really yummy, but the servers forgot to put in two of our tables appetizers. They finally came out over an hour later after having to remind them multiple times that we never received them. I understand that this is a bar, but it is also a hotel, so I was surprised that there was no changing table in the restroom. I guess that means that families with babies aren't welcome here. Overall, not a great experience. Hopefully it'll get better over time.

Yelp
Pro's: Nice view of Angeles mountains and the drinks were decent. Con's: Service was a terrible experience. Our server came to the table after about 10 minutes of waiting and apologized profusely. He brought us our drinks and appetizers but he then went missing. We didn't see him at all for about 15 minutes and nobody came to our table to check in. He was nowhere to be seen so we had to get a random server's attention to get the check to leave. The view of the sunset is blocked by wall on western side of the bar which was a let down because this place was getting hype on social media for a good sunset view.
