Located near Umeda, Osaka Takoyaki Market brings several of the city’s famous takoyaki shops together — perfect if you want to sample Osaka’s beloved soul food in one convenient spot.
Keep an eye out for the Takoyaki Tower landmark. Here you’ll find two food halls and a few outdoor tables where you can mix and match dishes from different stalls. Prices and portions vary quite a bit, so it’s worth taking a walk before deciding where to order.
We went for Kougaryu’s Sauce + Mayonnaise and Juhachiban’s Green Onion + Ponzu — both flavorful and fun to try, though a little smaller than expected.
While you’ll find even better takoyaki elsewhere in the city, this spot is still a convenient and entertaining stop if you’re nearby and craving a quick taste of Osaka’s street-food culture!
