This place is awesome!!! The people are so kind and their hot lunches are delicious with large portions and there is so much of a variety of groceries and fresh produce and desserts to choose from. I can't say enough good about it. If you've never been there you need to go. Apparently they have been here for many years and I wish I didn't live so far away or I would definitely be a regular. I guarantee you you won't be disappointed. Some of the best food in town! If you go there for their hot lunches make sure you get there in time because there will be a line and the food goes quick so you better get it while the getting is good!

Osborne’s Bi-Rite is a true gem! The store is clean, well-organized, and has a great mix of local favorites and household staples. It’s the kind of place where they remember your name and treat you like family. I come here a lot. When I say a lot I mean a lot. This is the coolest store ever. me and my friends live only a few minutes away from it so a lot of times we walk there to get a snack and hang out. This place is perfect for so many things. Getting a snack, grocery shopping, or grabbing dinner or dessert at their back area with a deli and lots of sweets. I would recommend this place to anyone and this is my favorite store. The vibes of this place are awesome, the staff are all so kind, and the selection is really great. I love Bi-Rite.

I do not know how this place comes up when you search “discount grocery store near me” but it was not saving me any money to go here whatsoever. This is NOT discount pricing like Aldi or UGO. This is Kroger prices +++. Also, I had a VERY uncomfortable experience with an older male employee approaching me, coming out from behind the meat counter, to tell me he liked my tattoos, stroke the tattoo on my arm without asking me, and then asking me if he could take photos of me and my tattoo. Then tells me as I’m trying to make every excuse to get away from him that he’s got a “collection” on his phone that he wants to show me…. Meaning he’s done this before, I can only assume!! My heart was pounding afterwards and I couldn’t get out of there fast enough after that. Will never come back.

Their deli cookies are fire! Also chicken salad that was delicious! This grocery store was a fun new spot to try out.

Love this place! Super friendly staff. Small enough to not be overwhelming with choices and stocked well enough that they always have what ya' need.

Osborne's Bi-Rite is a small, locally-owned grocery store, and is the friendliest store I've visited in Nashville in years. Plenty of staff, and all willing to help customers immediately. They even stop and ask if you are finding everything okay and if you need any help with anything.

I don't know of a better small grocery store in Nashville. They have a little bit of everything you need.

Neighborhood feel. Friendly, helpful staff. Good variety of brands and food items, plus good variety of fresh produce, meats, dairy, condiments, frozen foods. Daily home cooked meats, vegetables, and desserts. Free parking and convenient to surrounding neighborhoods. Household supplies, drug store items.

Our family loves this store. We lived around the corner for years but moved to Brentwood a few years ago. We still continue to shop there every few weeks. We love their meat department. We enjoy the smaller feel of the store. It feels very welcoming and shopping there is not stressful-just calm.

I don't always review grocery stores, but I absolutely love the Bi-Rite. It's a short distance from my apartment and I love the old school feel. It's one of the last places in Nashville where you can get a meat and three style lunch for cheap. The employees are beyond nice and you just feel like you stepped back in time every time you walk in the store. They have a great selection of produce and homemade foods too. I love supporting them!

This is an old-school grocery store that is kept neat, fully stocked, great selection, and everyone that works. there is kind and friendly.

This old school neighborhood grocery store has the best service and friendliest staff. They even ordered me Fifth Avenue candy bars that I couldn't get anywhere else in Nashville. Manager, Denise is the best. Their meat and three lunches and takeout items are fresh and delicious like homemade. You can take them out of the container put on a China plate and pretend you made them yourself. Please don't ever change.

don't go here. discriminatory staff. wouldn't sell groceries to a black lady, and didn't sell me CBD because my ID was "fake". i asked for help from the manager and he told me to get the fuck out of my store. gotta love southern hospitality.

Love this store. Reminds me of corner stores back in the day. Only place I've found Goolsby's sausage and coffee mate creme brûlée creamer. Friendly staff and nice, neat products.

I absolutely love this store. It has great produce! Also, I found a variety of everything I needed. Lots of options to choose from. Good variety of beer, cheese, and lots of grab and go options! I will be going soon for a hot lunch! The cashier was so sweet. Oh and the guy stocking in the aisle was very friendly and gave thorough directions to their restroom. Just a really fun experience!

A nice little neighborhood grocery market that also has a decent deli with meat and three plates. They actually have parking which makes it easy to do some quick shopping for needed items. Martin's BBQ also has one of their locations right next door so you can combine making groceries and a BBQ stop all in one.

I never review things but it is just such a joy going to Osbornes I wanted to take the time. The staff there are WONDERFUL. Kimberly is so sweet and the guy with the long curly brown hair is such a hoot. It really feels like a neighborhood store. They also have a remarkable selection for a small store, including great produce. It's also really well priced. I usually do my larger shops at Whole Foods but I find myself supplementing frequently with Osbornes because it's a short walk from my house and I'm consistently surprised by how much I'm able to lean on this little store without compromising on quality. Go Osbornes!

First time and not the last. I got the Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn with gravy and cornbread...SO GOOD....Everybody was super nice and the food...Comforting...To Quote Arnold....I'll Be Back

Great customer service and prices at a locally owned grocery. Those are hard to find in Nashville these days.

Osborne's Bi-Rite was open for business while much of Nashville was shut down due to snow this Saturday 1/23/16. I was pleased to see that they were fully stocked AND had great specials going on. You can check out their weekly ad here: http://osbornefoods.com/ It's a great place to quickly pick up items you forget or essentials you've run out of, especially for folks in the 12South/Belmont area.

The Bi-Rite is one of those perfect little local grocery stores right in your back yard. It's a quick in and out when you need to grab a few things and don't feel like going to a larger store like Kroger. Parking here is relatively easy, and they have a small lot right next to the building. I've never seen the lot full, as the turnaround for people shopping there is pretty quick. Inside, it's your stereotypical local grocery store. Fresh produce, USDA meats, name brand essentials, and one of the friendliest staffs at any grocery store I've ever been too. I'm guessing a lot of the people that work here are people who live in the general area of the store, because they seem to be very involved with this community and know a lot of people in there by name. Bi-Rite's prices on produce, meats, and other foods aren't that much more than if you were to go to a Kroger or Publix, but if you have a large list and have to get a lot of name brand household supplies, you might be better off going to a larger store because it can get a little pricey. Overall, Bi-Rite is the perfect place to stop or go to if you need one or two things for the house and don't want to spend too much time in a large grocery store.

Bi-Rite has such amazing food from the deli and you can't find almost anything in the store. All the staff are super great. Highly recommend

Since I can walk to this little store I give it an A-OK for convenience. I like that I can go there for essentials like milk, bread, and eggs. They also have a good selection of produce, which surprised me. As far as other items like toiletries, paper products, meds, etc. I would recommend going elsewhere because they are a tad bit overpriced on those items. They do carry local honey if you are in to that sort of thing. Everyone who works there is super friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs, which is a welcome feeling.

Newly renovated, customer service is incredible, wine selection is great for a store that size...perfect neighborhood market!

neighborhood grocery store that is a throwback place. not a great selection and prices are higher, but the workers are friendly and the location is amazing. wish more neighborhoods had spots like this.

Used to be great but over the past year its not been as good. More expensive the most every other store and it does not seem very clean. We decided to switch to Kroger around the corner just to save $.

This place is a treasure! It took me a while to figure out, but now I shop there all the time. The baked goods are amazing - especially the brownies. Never had better brownies than theirs. They've got a lot of the Southern classics here, like CocaCola cake and Chess Pie. My boyfriend loves the ham salad, which I didn't even know existed before we started coming here. They've got an excellent produce section with decent prices, and racks of brand name breads/rolls marked down to 79 cents that aren't even close to day-old!!! They've got a lunch counter that has a great menu, the people that run the place are really nice. Forget about Whole Foods and Harris Teeter. Give this place a chance - it really deserves it.

The owners are very nice, the employees are very nice, the selection is great, especially considering the size of the store. Best part is it is like going back in time when everything mattered!

I like this grocery very much because I've found it to be very customer satisfaction oriented, they offer most everything you might need, and their prices can be remarkably reasonable or bargain priced. Each week they advertise special offers and bargain priced items in a 4 page flyer that usually is available as you enter their store or you can access online at the Osborne Bi Rite Belmont Blvd website. Also, you need not wander aimlessly about in a vast spaced store because, not only is this store well stocked, it's compact in size. The employees are very helpful in answering your questions or attending to your needs. And there is a deli in back that produces some delicious plates, BBQ and hamburger sandwiches, fully cooked chicken fryers or smoked chicken sections, snacks, and other interesting items such as salads, etc. I have also observed that they have improved the lighting on the outside. Finally, they are a Tennessee Lottery Retailer in case you're feeling extra lucky!

The workers here are super friendly! My wife and I just moved to the area and they always smile and greet us as if they've known us for a long time. Great family feeling.

WYSIWYG. It's the best local grocer within steps of my place. It's not super cheap and doesn't have everything, but I don't care. I love it.

Great place to shop. Prices a little higher than Kroger but customer service makes up for it. And very little wait.

Didn't give it 5 stars because it's a bit pricey. I go here for lunch often. They have a great meat and 3 and the cashiers are always very nice. Great place to go pick up a few items but if you need to go pick up multiple items I suggest a bigger box store because prices are typically much higher.

In this age of big, anonymous box stores, it is nice to find a good local market that has friendly staff and a good selection of groceries. i am a big proponent of local businesses, and believe that we should get out and support them by buying local when we can. Osborne's Bi-Rite on Belmont has limited selection compared to a larger chain, but at the same time they have some items that come as a surprise from a local market. They have tremendous New York Strip steak at a very reasonable price! I would highly recommend shopping here.

Love having this store (and Polly's Shell, next door) in my neighborhood. i often walk or bike down to the Bi-Rite for staples or the occasional southern lunch at the back counter. the folks are friendly and neighborly, and it's fun to see all the locals (including some luminaries) walking the aisles and shopping for goodies So glad they're here. Makes me happy to go there and support local business.

I've been coming here for decades. Nice & convenient, wonderful lunch bar, hot & cold prepped food cases, some good juices and other gourmet items, produce, meats etc. Great staff.

I really like having an old-school neighborhood grocery that I can walk to when I need a few things- and today I found out that they carry canning jars in all sorts of shapes and sizes, which makes this place even better! (and I'd much rather buy from small independents!) I walk by here a lot, and they always have a few items of meat and produce advertized at very low prices- a good place to stretch your dollars. Not the place to go for exotic food items but good standard fare.
