Google
Great experience! After moving from Texas, we've been looking for a good taco place. They whipped up some awesome breakfast tacos and the salsa actually had a kick to it. I will definitely be back!

Heather

Google
If you're looking to grab some tacos this is your place! I was searching for some vegan tacos And oscar's tacos did not disappoint. I was greeted warmly by a young man behind the counter. I informed him I was looking for some corn tacos, Just veggies. He help me Down to the detail of Asking about the sour cream and dairy, In which I replied no thank you. He mentioned there was Is dairy and there rice so that saved me I was appreciated of that. I asked For the french fries and replacement in which they gladly Did so. They filled up my tacos With beans, Veggie's And was absolutely delicious! I will be returning. Also note beautiful artwork on the wall mantle. Great vibe!

Google
The location is clean and welcoming. Music volume was a good range - the gentleman working the register was very kind, informational, and patient as I had my mother with me who is quite indecisive. The food itself was solid. I do wish that the enchilada sauce they used was not so thin, a touch of viscosity would serve it well. Also serving more of the enchilada sauce on a burrito that size would serve well as I felt the amount put was just not enough for the size of burrito. Overall the meat was well seasoned and everything tasted great. Very hot salsa was not that hot. Will eat here again.

Google
This food is all all good. It's better than the sit down Mexican restaurants around but if you want waiter service this isn't the place. Best breakfast burrito in the Nashville area so I wish they opened earlier

Google
Stopped by Oscar’s for lunch. Staff was friendly, my husband even found a fellow watch aficionado behind the counter. 🙂 Got the birria tacos and refried beans. Both were excellent. Birria tacos were large for the money, fresh, and delicious. Consommé was flavorful. Would definitely visit again.

Google
Justin and Ana are the best! Food is authentic and delicious but the hospitality should be what they are known for. Enjoyed our time visiting and eating very much. We will be back next time we are in “Tenny.”

Julie Madison

Google
Food was fresh and hot. Service was friendly and fast.

Google
Large portion sizes don't make up for bland seasoning. Couldn't taste chicken in the chicken chimichanga. Bland refried beans. Will try this owner again in a couple months to see if it was just an off night

Yelp
I used to go to Los Angeles quite regularly before kids, and one of my favorite things to eat was a carne asada burrito at some hole in the wall burrito stand. It was the one food I went out of my way to get when visiting. I lived most of my adult life in the Midwest and South. I've ventured to many Mexican restaurants, trying to find a similar carne asada burrito. My search came up empty until I found Oscar's Taco Shop in Nolensville. When I bite into their Carne Asada burrito, it takes me back to Los Angeles and gives me that same joy. Their tacos and nachos are outstanding as well. Their prices are reasonable, and their service is really fast. They usually have my order ready within 10 minutes. Oscar's Taco Shop is one of my family's favorite places to eat in Nolensville and is a restaurant we keep coming back to again and again.

Yelp
Coming from San Diego, we've been looking for some good carne asada fries and finally found it! I'm surprised at how many taco shops out here do not offer that. Service was great and we will be coming back for sure!

John H.

Yelp
Love this place! The food is always delicious and reminds me of some of the great Mexican I had growing up in California. Also, very friendly and quick service.
google avatar

Aura G.

Yelp
I love the birria tacos here. They are crisp, savory, juicy, and have the perfect meat to cheese ratio. The consommé is rich and not too oily, which I sometimes find to be an issue. I also tried the rolled beef tacos, which were quite tasty and reminded me of flautas. Their quesadillas are also worth trying and come in very large portions.

Yelp
We have passed this place many times and finally decided to dive in! Glad we did! It is an amazing hole in the wall surprise! Food was tasty and had such flavor. We had the west coast burrito "wet" style and a tostado. Everything was presented well and exceeded my expectations. The gentleman at the counter was fast, friendly and really made the experience over the top. Interior was exactly what I expected. Typical tables, big dining room with plenty of tables and chairs. It is counter service. Plates are paper, utensils are plastic and cups are styrofoam. This may throw people off who aren't used to it but we loved it! Five stars for that alone! We cannot wait to return!

Alyssa G.

Yelp
Birria tacos are fireeee!! They are super fresh and tasty. They have a meal/combo with the cost to match. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Scott R.

Yelp
Nope. Chicken enchiladas for lunch were pretty poor. I was real hungry but couldn't eat it.
google avatar

Caterina I.

Yelp
The shop is now called WEST COAST TACOS, which also has multiple locations. The sign on the building still says Oscar's, but I assume it will change soon. The concept between Oscar's and WCT is pretty much the same except we have birria tacos and consomé here, too!! I think the birria is slowly starting to expand to the other locations outside of the Nashville location. A few differences between this and the Nashville location: the consomé was more bland and a little thinner, birria tacos automatically come with cheese. Additional COVID-19 notes: staff wears masks, though not mandatory for customers, salsa bar is self serve

Paolina K.

Yelp
Breakfast burrito with egg, cheese, potatoes (hashbrowns), and bacon was a good size for the price. They were quick with our pickup order and the burrito was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Wish they added some other condiments inside such as ketchup, sour cream, etc, but was still good as it was made. We will be ordering breakfast burritos from there again!

Crystal A.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for taco salad or nachos! They have veg options which is wonderful! Always great food! And fast service
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
Very let down by this place. Just terrible. Salsa was practically water. Carne asada tacos were awful. Instant stomach ache. Couldn't finish. Been going to oscars for years but this location needs some serious help.

Steve M.

Yelp
Our go to spot after hockey practice in Nolensville! Friendly staff, great prices. 2 for 1 beers? Sign me up. Always good Mexican food with lots on the menu.

Kelly R.

Yelp
Oscars is our families goto for Mexican take out. Carne asada burritos, fajitas and taco salad are always fantastic.
google avatar

Asia A.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about these tacos! I could legit eat them everyday! Fresh ingredients, tons of flavor, great prices, and friendly staff. The shrimp tacos are hands down my favorite. And please don't get me started on the chicken fries, or seafood fries! Ugh! Sooo good! Just writing this review makes me want to rush back for more. Yummy, yummy!!

Sue S.

Yelp
Love Oscar's! Some of best Mexican food around!! Fast service and great food! Have enjoyed many meals from here!
google avatar

Martin B.

Yelp
Oscars is incredible!! I feel that for their portion sizes, the prices are just right. I got a burrito my first time, I've been twice more, and I can't help but get that burrito again and again! Good, messy, tasty food. I've only done carry out, but as someone who moved to Nashville 5 months ago, it's the best burrito I've found.
google avatar

Tracy D.

Yelp
It's frustrating eating here. We've only done takeout. Most times it was fine, until about 6 weeks ago. I picked up our to-go order which included my shrimp taco salad...the shrimp were burnt. I didn't even know you could burn shrimp, but you can. They had a black crust and were inedible. On the same trip, as I paid for our order, I suddenly noticed no mask on the cashier. I was shocked, and said something to the manager, who just shrugged. Not good. We gave them a pass until tonight. Decided to give them one more shot. Husband ordered the birria tacos and I tried the shrimp taco salad again. Everyone working was masked today, but my fried tortilla tasted very distinctly of some kind of cheap soap (the kind they use in restaurants). It was absolutely disgusting. I'm sensitive so I had my husband taste it..."disgusting." Because we specifically stated our previous order had been burnt and asked them to be careful with this order, it made me wonder if they intentionally did something to this order...?? Either way, it doesn't matter. They had plenty of chances to make good food and haven't been able to do that consistently lately, so we won't continue wasting our money. I would consider coming back post-pandemic, as it's possible they've lost their staff or had other issues related to covid, but only if I read positive reviews at that time.

Ron H.

Yelp
We love Oscar's Tacos. Genuine California Mex cuisine. Nice small place with good service. The quesadillas are short on cheese. They put sour cream in and that's different. That's why the 4 stars.
google avatar

Ken J.

Yelp
It's West Coast Taco Shop now, but it's the same as It was when it was Oscar's. I love their carne asada burritos and their carne asada fries. Growing up in Chicago with burrito places, it's very similar. I'm a regular here.
google avatar

Austin n.

Yelp
No longer oscars! It's west coast taco now. Terrible cold food. Nothing was made the same. 2 burritos 4 tacos $41.
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
The food at Oscar's is absolutely amazing. They have authentic tacos, quesadillas, nachos, etc. They have a great staff and a great selection of salsa and fixings to spice up your lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Mackenzie M.

Yelp
Best Mexican food i've ever had in TN, definitely more authentic than anything else around! I recommend the birria tacos, you won't be disappointed.

Maddie B.

Yelp
I haven't basically ate in two day get my food and it is the worst thing I ever put on my mouth it taste like it came from a gas station it overly salty and I had to throw the entire thing away in the garb refused to let me get something different and said oh we can't do that it like I will not be back
google avatar

Glenn S.

Yelp
Staff is very friendly, restaurant is clean, and the food is tasty. Only issue was I ordered a west coast fish burrito and It came without fish. It tasted great but would have been a 5 star for sure if it had the fish. We also ordered rolled tacos which were very tasty and the queso dip was very good too!! Make sure to check your order before you leave to make sure everything is there.
google avatar

Zavieta R.

Yelp
Location has great open parking. Line is social distance friendly, great menu. I ordered 4 tacos for my boyfriend and I. 2 chicken, 1 beef and 1 shrimp with rice and beans. I also ordered a frozen margarita while I sit in the waiting area. Staff was friendly and the price was reasonable. Took about a 10 min wait. The margarita was yummy and once I got home the food was also very yummy! I would definitely order again and add this place to my taco spots. Tacos are my fave food
google avatar

Victoria L.

Yelp
Oscars taco shop is a place I would go to if I'm craving fast Mexican food that's Togo. The only reason why I go here is because of the carne Asada fries!!! Every time I post a picture of it on my social media, everyone always asks! It's hard to find something like that here in Tennessee. It's just basically fries with shredded melted cheese on top with beef and sour cream. You'll totally be full from eating just the fries. Sometimes it's a hit or miss. One time I had crinkle fries and it's not good unless it's the thick cut straight fries! I also got the beef and chicken quesadilla. It was okay. There wasn't anything major to expect from it. Overall, I'll always come back for the fries. If you're reading this! Get it now!
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
Best spot for Mexican food in the south nashville area. Never had a bad experience at this or any of their other establishments. I will gladly continue to give them my money for their good food
google avatar

Jenna K.

Yelp
This spot reminds me of the taco shops in Southern California. Super authentic, quick and easy! Get the rolled tacos with guacamole- you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Philip B.

Yelp
I just love Oscar's. I sneak over every chance I get, and really like the breakfast burritos, tacos... pretty much everything.
google avatar

Ted W.

Yelp
This is my 6 year old son's favorite restaurant. We visit probably 2x per month. Quality of food is consistent. Tasty and affordable. Usually we get the carne asada nachos. Wife loves the fish taco. Son loves the bean burrito. Love the salsa bar carrot and jalapeños. Good representation of SoCal Mexican in middle Tennessee. Much better than the Chipotle/Qdoba alternatives. Wish they were open longer hours on Sunday, but this IS middle Tennessee. :-)
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Good little Mexican food place. I don't think it will be our "go to" place with so many wonderful options around but the food was good and the service was prompt and pleasant. Fish taco was probably the best thing we ate. Way too much sour cream on the veggie nachos but they were still good. We spent a little over $50 for five of us to eat so it's not like it's a great value considering they don't do table service or give chips and salsa like a real Mexican place would.
google avatar

Dan N.

Yelp
I wish this place was closer to us!! It ain't fancy but it is incredibly good food. This is a great take on Cali-Tex-mex fast food. High quality ingredients at a reasonable price. The Quesadillas are off the chain. Killer rolled tacos, fish tacos, carnitas, chicken etc. it's hard to be disappointed at this place. I've eaten at some of the best restaurants of this ilk in Texas, California and Mexico. Is this the best I've had? - nope. But it is consistently fantastic! Go and support real food!
google avatar

Kari N.

Yelp
This place is one of our family favorites. Don't let it's casual atmosphere mislead you. Oscars has seriously delicious food. The fish taco, shredded beef brisket tacos and fajita casadias are all my go to orders.
google avatar

Lauren F.

Yelp
Legit the best taco shop in the entire South. Nothing on the menu is even mediocre -- it's all perfect.
google avatar

Tony F.

Yelp
Been here a handful of times. Its just not worth it. I see they are expanding in other parts if town. Tacos are average at best and salsa are sub par with no real spicy taqueria salsa. If you are going here on the Nolensville side of town, drive north of Old Hickory and get a real taco.
google avatar

Noelle T.

Yelp
Best street tacos south of Old Hickory. Seriously, unless you want to drive 20 minutes north on Nolensville Road to where the real tacos live, Oscar's is about as good as it gets. I could eat an Oscar's Taco every day, and that's saying a lot. Chicken + Corn Tortilla + Cilantro + Onion + mild salsa = yum. The prices are right, the service is good, and the place is clean. Give it a try.

Anna S.

Yelp
We used to come here frequently- LOVED the taco salads. Just went in today and they've done something to the menu. The cheese had almost a powdery - consistency. The Guacamole is different, and even the meat tasted different. I really hope they aren't trying to cut corners to save $$. Because we won't be back until the old menu is back. This rebranding thing is hurting the menu. Loved the sweet gal taking orders. She was amazing!
google avatar

Bernard W.

Yelp
Best California style tacos in Nashville. The owner is from San Diego. Typical San Diego style place. Order at the counter, get your drink and salsa, pickled carrots, have a seat. Food shows up a few minutes later. Try the carne Asada tacos, take home a machaca burrito (shredded beef, eggs, cheese, salsa) for breakfast - one machaca burrito easily serves two people. Menu is extensive - fish tacos, chorizo, ground beef, shredded beef, carnitas..,multiple locations, we like Nolensville best because their salsa is better!

Jessie K.

Yelp
A mix of aguas frescas, the birria tacos which are a powerhouse of flavor, and a menu as long as California!! So good!! We are serious taco snobs, so for this place to take top billing says a LOT! Epa!
google avatar

Rick B.

Yelp
OK, I'll admit that I am not a fan of Mexican food. However, my wife likes it so I take her where she wants to go. We needed to stop for a quick bite before a meeting and stopped at Oscars. Everything we had was flavorful and delicious. It's not a fancy place but the food was good. They also have a small salsa bar so you can pick a sauce as hot as you want. Everybody was friendly and the service was prompt. It's a nice little spot and the food was better than some sit-down Mexican restaurants my wife has dragged me into.
google avatar

Chandler Q.

Yelp
Great spot for delicious, inexpensive tacos! We are regulars here and are never disappointed. I especially love the shrimp taco, pork taco, and guacamole.
google avatar

Justin S.

Yelp
The food is always top notch! Breakfast burritos are amazing, but my favorite is the tacos pastor. Incredible little place.
google avatar

Orlando H.

Yelp
I am in love with the fiery shrimp burritos. It's my favorite meal. Unfortunately I can only enjoy it once a month. I also love the carne asada burrito. It's a great local spot.
google avatar

Jenny H.

Yelp
Three of us went here for dinner. We started with chips and guacamole. The chips tasted really stale. I got the fajitas. I threw most of it away. Very disappointing. Also, the tea tasted like it had been made quite a while ago. Two others got burritos. They were ok. The meat was bland, and the addition of French fries inside was interesting. The prices were good for around here. The fajitas come with a free drink. I still wouldn't pick it again though.
google avatar

Terry S.

Yelp
I didn't know there was such a thing as bland Mexican food till I ate here. That is all. Well aside from the fact 2 chicken tacos, a Dixie cup portion of rice and a drink cost me $9.00.
google avatar

JB C.

Yelp
I'm Latin and I have to say I was naive and thought it would be pretty difficult to screw up a taco but Oscar's took the crown and completely surprised me with the WORST carne asada taco I have ever had. I took one bite and threw it out. It had such a nasty taste, I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. They didn't even have Tapatillo or Cholula, seriously. This place is absolutely the worst taco joint.
google avatar

Angie M.

Yelp
Over priced for bland, disappointing food. The "carnitas" were not carnitas at all. They were small cubes of super dry pork that were pretty inedible. The biggest disappointment was the enchiladas. Always my favorite, I've ordered them at pretty much every Mexican restaurant I've been to. They've varied between the different places, but never before have I had enchiladas that were sweet. The sauce truly tasted like it had sugar in it! This went past disappointing to land fully on gross! I can't fault the service or the cleanliness, but save yourself the money and the disappointment and keep driving to Taco Bell.
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
Well since my last review things have gone downhill. Four times in a row when we've gone in for a quick dinner they have been out of unsweet tea. Now we're talking 530 in the evening so there are a few hours before they close. It's one of those restaurant machines that you stick a teabag in and click the start button. They always say that they're out. But the last time that I asked the young man up front said he had to ask his manager and when he came back he said the manager said no. Well then I say no. No to giving you my money if you don't care about your customers. If he got on here and apologized then I might go back. Other than that bye!
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
As good as it gets! Oscar's is the best Mexican food you can get in Nashville. I love the two Franklin location, but this is my favorite now as it is a short drive from my house. I've heard some debates that the original Franklin is the best, but honestly I've never noticed a difference. Do yourself a favor and try the Carne Asada Torta. The perfect (but messy) sandwich!
