Osha Thai Restaurant & Lounge Review - Embarcadero - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"There are several Osha Thai restaurants around the city, but the one on the ground floor of 4 Embarcadero Center is pretty large and has a patio overlooking the plaza and Ferry Building. They make reliably great food, with everything from pad see ew and duck curry to noodle soups like khao soi, and it’s an ideal spot for groups or a quick fuel up before or after a stroll on the waterfront. You can also stop here for a few really good cocktails, or daily Happy Hour (5-7pm) with $1.50 oysters, $5 beers, and $7-$9 appetizers." - Lani Conway

I got a fresh young coconut, Thai Samosas, and the Massaman Lamb curry. The coconut and samosas were great, but the lamb curry was not. It was certainly a lot of lamb for its price but the lamb was underwhelming in taste and overwhelms the rest of the dish in pure volume. The curry itself was very sweet and rich which made the dish just overly strong in all aspects. In terms of service, our waitress was nice but for some reason we got served our main courses before we finished the appetizer. Our table was obviously too small and we just felt rushed to eat, so it took away from the overall experience.

Modern dinner. Service was just ok after our order was taken. Had to flag down the server to get second round of drinks for everyone at the table. The rice had a sweet taste that I believe was coconut, which is not my favorite. My grilled bass was also sweet, I prefer savory. The starters were delicious and my son's food was fantastic. Bit expensive, but it's in San Francisco so is to be expected.

Just had a drink w/ co-workers during happy hour, so the review doesn't include the food. A few highlights for happy hour: 1. $1 oyster which is small but pretty fresh. 2. $4 beer, and 2 for 3 promotion. Service is attentive.

Pretty good Thai food chain in SF. There was a lacking of having the Thai chili condiments. Service was good. The pad Thai and crab fried had good flavors.

Clean and welcoming place to snag some delicious dinner. Super helpful staff and clear menu. Enjoyed the "Ka-Prow-Kai" and the "Fire Cracker Prawns". Tasty, well proportioned food at a reasonable price. I would definitely go back.

Pretty good had the soup & my friend had thai. Fine casual it came to 67$ usd with tip for 1 appie and 2 mains. We had the veggie samosas which were DELICIOUS!!!!the #7 from the lunch menu which was a nice soup with noodles and a selection of meat including king crab . My friend had the vegetarian pumpkin curry and she enjoyed it. They also did an amazing job on their plating. Our server was very friendly. Overall nice meal. A few mins away from the Sf MOMA. if you're wanting to treat yourself.

Very delicious fresh food and drinks. Friendly staff. It's so close to the Moscone Center, so ideal when being on a conference. It's also quite and not too big which is perfect for having business lunch. Would definitely recommend it
