"Formerly located in the centre of Bruton, Osip is now situated more rurally, in a stunningly renovated former pub that retains the minimalistic elegance of the original. Forward-thinking chef Merlin Labron-Johnson and his enthusiastic team are passionate about their farm-to-table ethos, with the surprise tasting menu showcasing an array of home-grown and locally sourced produce. Dishes like chilled tomato consommé with fig oil shine in their technical precision and pure, natural flavours. The wine pairings highlight organic and biodynamic choices." - Michelin Inspector

Natalie Dormer's Guide to the English Countryside

"Osip is a Michelin-starred restaurant in Somerset, passionate about their farm-to-table ethos. The aesthetic, service, and attention to detail is superb. They recently opened new premises in August with bedrooms available for overnight stays." - Edward Barsamian

Second time at Osip, but first time at Osip 2.0 and we weren't disappointed!! The menu was exceptional again and as creative as ever. Super earthy, amazing seasonal autumn/winter produce and flavours. The room was stunning - beautiful interiors. Breakfast was simple and let the quality of the ingredients sing. Lots of nice free treats in the room. Service at mealtimes was top notch.

This is our fourth visit and it continues to be an outstanding dining experience. Each time the food is varied, creative, beautifully presented, but always delicious. We love the locally-grown vegetable-forward approach and the delightful chefs and staff bring each dish to life when presented. We are fortunate to have so many great restaurants in the UK these days, but Osip remains one of our very top favourites.

We've eaten at Osip 5 times over the years (5+) & it just gets better. So many restaurants having gained a good reputation are prone to disappointing once established. Seasonality & veg from the garden are to the fire. The cooking is accurate & presentation precise. There's an earthy minimalism to the decor & food. And a refreshing restraint with the sugar bowl that only enhanced dessert. Service was low key, efficient, well choreographed & charming. Surely one of the most creative & interesting kitchens in the country.

We had a wonderful evening at Osip near Bruton. As food lovers who do not always enjoy overly formal fine dining, we were delighted by the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The food was exceptional — the vegetarian dishes were some of the best we have ever had, and the lobster was truly memorable. Every course reflected the care and creativity behind their genuine farm-to-fork philosophy. The team was attentive, knowledgeable and warm, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and ease. An outstanding dining experience — we will definitely be back. Thank you, Osip team.

Incredible restaurant, fabulous service, and beautiful rooms. If you are a real foodie, this should absolutely be on your must do list. I was recommended it by a friend who has been raving about this place for years. We visited for our wedding anniversary, a real treat, our room was stunningly beautiful, with some super tasty treats waiting for us too. We had the evening taster menu, and loved every part of it. This is a special place and perfect for special occasions. Breakfast as well was delicious. Thank you OSIP team, you blew my mind.

Lovely experience. Dinner is amazing - delicious food and wines, the rooms are nicely designed. Although, issue I find throughout my stay was there is a couple cutlery being unclean. Another let down is the breakfast, we went down for breakfast at 9:00am, food has not been refilled despite they said breakfast is served until 9:30.

It was one of the best fine dining experiences ever. Amazing service, the intimate atmosphere, and the care of the staff made us feel at home. And for those who want to stay the night, the rooms are beautiful, elegantly decorated, and have an extra comfy bed!
