This brewery is bigger than I thought it would be, which explains how they are able to produce commercial beer as well as several more interesting small batch beers that they offer in the taproom only. Plenty of parking. The outside area includes plenty of covered shared table seating (with some outside heating), as well as individual tables in the sun (many with umbrellas) and shade. We had a couple flights, including Deep Ellum Dallas Blonde Ale (good - crisp), Scotch Ale (very good), regular and barrel-aged Imperial Stout (both very good, although beware the latter has a raisen-like after taste almost like a port) and a Madura Brown English Ale (very good). The Scotch Ale and Brown English Ale made me feel like I was having a pint at a country pub someplace in the UK. We got food from their ChubWagon food truck. The Berk Burger is great for pork lovers: ground pork, bacon and bleu cheese, along with a tasty sauce. The Omega Burger has a good-sized salmon filet, cooked nicely, with a fresh dill mayo sauce. Both were served on brioche buns, which I'm usually not a big fan of, but theirs are really good. Fries are pub-style -- thick cut with some skin left on. They were good, but could have been served hotter and maybe with a little less salt (and I like mine salty, so it takes a lot for me to say that). Service was okay. Good spot to fill up for an afternoon hike (which we did) or relax after one. We'd go back.
