I could cry! We checked out this place from the “Latin restaurant Week” and this place went way beyond on expectations. The horchata is some best I’ve ever had. Joseph and Hector we just awesome. Ordered 2 papas and huevos tacos and a strawberry matcha. The tacos made with homemade tortillas, very filling and cooked perfect. Served with salsa verde. The strawberry matcha is made with their homemade horchata and real strawberry purée made in house. The BEST matcha I’ve had in Houston. On top of that the owner gave us complementary pancakes made with horchata. Crisp and fluffy very light the perfect treat. Just a real gem to find in the community, should definitely check it out

I had such a wonderful experience at Oso Coffee! From the moment my sister and I walked in, we felt so welcomed. The woman at the register greeted us with a big smile and treated us like old friends. We weren’t sure what to order, and she was so kind and helpful! She recommended the marshmallow latte for me (which was absolutely delicious!) and the honey cinnamon latte for my sister (also amazing!). The coffee shop was about half full, but they still made our drinks super fast. The atmosphere is cozy, cute, and inviting, the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. As a Latina, I’m a huge advocate for supporting Latino-owned coffee shops, and I couldn’t be prouder of what Oso Coffee is doing. Their service, drinks, and vibe were excellent in every way. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending them to everyone I know!

Both the horchata latte and horchata matcha were amazing. (I enjoyed the matcha one more) I also ordered the breakfast torta, which eas really good. Ill be back to try some lunch items very soon.

We are in town and I looked up some coffee spots and found this on a list of coffee spots to visit in Houston. So, we decided to check this place out. First and foremost, very chill vibes and cute little spot. It’s small but cozy. Great for students or business meetings but small groups. Large groups would make it a bit crowded. They do have an outside patio but it’s kind of snug. Service and staff are efficient, respectful, and quick. I can only speak for the coffee because that’s all I had but I would revisit if I’m in town and try the food next time. Based off of the reviews, food looks pretty good. Coffee was very good, we got the horchata coffee and latte with hazelnut . Very refreshing. Definitely check this joint out. Till then, let’s sip!

Google
Great place. Staff is super friendly, coffee was strong. The dude literally crushed the matcha right in front of, so fresh ingredients. There’s a ton of coffee shops in EADO but this one is near the top for sure. Highly recommended. Got the matcha and lavender oat milk latte, hot.

Google
Quality service, great coffee, and a cute little shop! The vanilla & caramel latte was amazing! Perfect level of sweetness and coffee. The shop was a bit small but very cute. We did not get to try the food but it looked great. We will try it next time!

Google
Love this little neighborhood coffee shop! The strawberry horchata was delicious (very sugary!) and the selection of pastries and cookies are really tasty. Super great atmosphere, it really feels like a community hangout spot, plus tons of parking in the lot available.

Google
Esthetic pleasing place. The vibe and atmosphere is chill and awesome. The baristas are friendly and helpful with drinks. Try their horchata with coffee. Owner is hospitable. Place is dog friendly.

Yelp
I got an iced horchata latte and it was great! I've had horchata lattes before, primarily in Austin and San Antonio, and I was always left underwhelmed. I'm glad that I gave the drink another attempt. There are plenty of parking spaces, no issue finding a spot even when busy. It's a bit cozy inside but it did not feel cramped.

Yelp
I went to an event that was across the street and seen there was a super long line outside this coffee shop. I had to see what the hype was about so I joined the line! After waiting almost 20 minutes I tried my Iced Horchata Latte and was super disappointed. My drink taste so gritty and the flavors are not balanced. From what I seen, this was their most popular drink, so I'm hoping it was just an off day since they were so busy. Even a staff member made a comment about how long the line was. The inside of the shop is super small with minimal seating so keep that in mind if you decide to go with a larger group.

Yelp
I love the unique flavors and approach to coffee. Who doesn't want a donut or pan with their drink? Perfect. 10/10

Yelp
I've been here many times. Their horchata cold brew is one of my favorites. I also order the horchata latte hot and pour over. Hot dog and egg tacos are so nostalgic and delicious! I love ordering my horchata latte with a concha. Absolute favorite plenty of parking. Small bungalow turned coffee shop, feels like home. Service is always cheerful and friendly.

Yelp
Checked out Oso Coffee Co. today and the staff was welcoming as soon I stepped in very helpful with what to order as well. What I ordered : - Iced Horchata Latte This is their most popular drink and I definitely recommend! I tried the horchata as a sample and it was perfect so good. If you are hesitant about the sweetness or unsure just ask for a sample of the horchata, it's homemade not powder. They also have a run club every Thursday at 6:30pm. If you haven't yet check them out!

Yelp
This coffee shop is beyond amazing, its connection to the community is unmatched! The owner is one of the kindest and most genuine humans in Houston! His passion for coffee can be tasted throughout all the drinks offered. However, my favorite is the Horchata latte!!! That drink is fire!!! Vibe is on point and welcoming with area to study or work! They also offer catering and hold cool events!
google avatar

Huy N.

Yelp
The vibes is real chill here. Very nice staff! They welcome and say bye to you. Overall great experience. Only for the matcha latte and it's good! They have pastry here too. Only thing was it's a bit hot inside but for the most part really cool
google avatar

Yelp
Salty breakfast tacos, overwhelmingly sweet coffee/matcha. Rude service, always tending to their buddies who take up the bar space(where they take your order) to chat it up.

Sarah K.

Yelp
Amazing local coffee shop! Great drinks and food and they are doing amazing work to help support local dog rescue organizations. Super cute shop with super friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Fun little coffe spot on the Navigation Promenade in EaDo. It's got a cutesy feel to this updated house turned business. Coffee was good enough for me, tried the Horchata Latte. They serve some food as well, but was coming here for a post lunch digestif, and didn't try any. It's a little cramped on the inside and as such most of the seating is outdoors. Plenty of parking though!

Yelp
so yummy. quality coffee. nicest people and good vibes. all in an iconic area of houston. love!

Yelp
What a great spot. My friend lived in walking distance from this place, got to know the owners, who loves dogs and is involved in the Houston doggy~ world, my friend even adopted a dog they had found and really hypes this place up. Cooper, my pup, and I were out running Saturday morning errands and I thought let's go grab a coffee and check out Oso. We came in (yes both of us! they're dog friendly inside). It's a small space so we had a bit of a wait for my iced horchata latte but in the meantime he got to enjoy his pup cup. Filled to the brim btw, bigger cup than the usual st*rbucks and had some extra treats on top. I will always support just knowing the business owner is such good people, that Cooper can some into the AC and get a treat + my latte was tasty too. ++parking lot ++smaller cozier coffee shop ++lots of regulars

Yelp
Service is always lack luster here. Given this place multiple tries and it always falls short. The horchata latte is overrated, there are so many coffee shops in the houston area that live up to the hype. Minimal seating area. I do find the owners comments on reviews very sus too, can't take any criticism without turning into a snowflake awwww
google avatar

Yelp
Great local coffee shop. Feels like being in someone's home. Wife got the horchata latte and enjoyed it. I got a cold brew with SF vanilla and thought it was good. Would come back again

Katy L.

Yelp
Iced Vanilla latte is so yummy. Baristas are always so kind. Check it out if you can!

Yelp
the service & ambiance was so nice! it's a little small inside but everyone was enjoying their time chatting & hanging out with the pups! I love how dog friendly this place is. The horchata coffee & matcha was good! Our pup loved their puppuccino also :) There's also a parking lot located right next to the building!

Yelp
Love love love Oso. The vibes here are always great, service is quick sub one star for the minimal seating BUT they do well with the space they have. Love stopping in here to grab a chai tea as I am not a coffee girly. The sabroso is the perfect snack to walk around the market that is usually available at the Esplanade across the street on Saturdays.
google avatar

Yelp
I have an extensive list of coffee shops on my "must try" and Oso has definitely been on my list. I got up early this morning and decided to swing by for a coffee with a friend. The location is very small but extremely inviting. The inside can sit maybe 10-15 people and there is some outdoor seating available. I could see this place getting packed pretty quickly. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. While we already had breakfast prior to arriving we were pleasantly surprised they offered a breakfast menu. We both had the horchata latte and a concha. We really enjoyed the horchata latte was really good, super excited to try more drinks! This might be my new regular!

Yelp
LIMITED SEATING. PARKING LOT AVAILABLE. Cute house converted into coffee shop. There are only TWO tables available for dine in / work space. If you're feeling up to it, you could ask to share but both tables were single-occupied. More of a coffee TO-GO place but considering this was an out of the way destination for me I don't see myself coming back here. I wanted to try the SABRASOS, a combo of a latte & concha but they ran out of conchas which seemed like a good sign. They can sub for a donut. I opted for just the horchata latte which is one of their signatures. Unfortunately, HORCHATA LATTE had a weird thick mouth feel & the coffee left a burnt/sour aftertaste. Honestly, I was disappointed with the drink. I ended up going to another cafe after & was a bit surprised when I noticed their lattes were $2 less than Oso's latte & I enjoyed it a lot more

Yelp
Yes yes and YES!!! Food, coffee, and sweet bread are a must have here. Besides the fact that they have the cutest spot, they are pet friendly well at least they have dog treats! The coffee was superb, I love a good cortadito. The place is decorated so simple it's cute. The staff was so nice and made the coffee so fast!. They were so busy once we got there but they dispatched at an even rate. The heart shaped sweet bread was adorable and "The Sabroso" looked absolutely fabulous I felt like I missed out not ordering it. I would definitely recommend this place for a friend coffee date.

Yelp
Cute hipster boutique coffee spot in EaDo on Navigation. Outside parking is available in their gravel lot as there is not much space to park on the street. Interior is very small, with one table and a few seats at the bar. Cool hip vibe; we got their horchata latte and although it was a bit sweet for me, it was solid in terms of flavor. There was already a group inside chatting and it was a bit confusing to see who's in line to order and who's just hanging around in general. Like their specialized bear coffee cup and the general EaDo vibe inside. Downside in my opinion is the price, which unfortunately matters at a time when spending power is at an all time low; it was $7.85 for one drink after tax/before tip. Yes, yes, inflation and all that but that's a bit stiff and I just came back from Boulder, CO...

Yelp
Easy to find, plenty of parking space right next to it. Small but super cute, with great outdoor seating. Horchata latte (3.5/5) it didn't have much horchata taste but the coffee was delicious over all. The bread could have been a little more toasty but tasted good. Horchata strawberry (4/5) it was very refreshing and creamy and again I didn't taste much horchata Overall, I would come back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Theee horchata latte!!! I came back the first week I tried this place 3 times just because it was that delicious. I only ever went by myself and was in and out, but I came this weekend and bad bunny was playing, there was a book club in the back going, and all the baristas were having a good time. I brought my boyfriend and my puppy to come try this spot in Eado and they both loved it! My dog ate their puppichino bowl in seconds, which came with little milk bones. (So cute!). She was also very welcomed there! She's usually extremely shy as she's a rescue, but the people around and the staff (plus the whip cream) made her feel very happy and relaxed! It's a small, cozy, quaint house located east downtown with lots of great lighting and parking next door. If you like conchas, horchatas, or bringing your furry friend with you to try new places, you'll love Oso Coffee!

Kime G.

Yelp
Note: This is not an interaction from today, rather a week or so ago. End of the day it doesn't matter what day, please do better and have some kind of accountability. You can be a small business and not have a small mind. I'd been wanting to come here for a while and finally did and sadly but truthfully mediocre coffee and bad service for new customers. Cashier was too busy having a conversation with an obvious regular and even continuing their conversation in between taking my order. Many folks I know have tried this coffee shop for the first time and had the same exact experience. I did not believe it but here I am. I don't think anyone wanting to try a new coffee shop should waste their time and money here, there's so many actually great coffee shops in houston that better represent the latino culture 3/10 for looks though. This is not a harmful review, simply truthful and honest one :/
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
Oso is an amazing coffee house in the heart of EaDo. The location may be small, but it's definitely worth it! Their coffee is fantastic, and they have really good empanadas too. The environment is super chill with great vibes--perfect for relaxing or getting work done. We love it so much we go at least once a week, and I even work from there sometimes. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
Great local coffee shop in Eastwood. The staff is welcoming and kind. They have a variety of coffees, lattes and various drinks for just about every palate. They offer a small array of bites of pastries and pan dulces. They have a nice seating area in a room towards the back that is cool and relaxing.
google avatar

Juncel A.

Yelp
Pretty good coffee spot in 2nd ward!! I ordered the horchata latte and it's the perfect combination of coffee and horchata in a cup - probably one of the best I've had! They also have conchas, which I heard they get from El Bolilo. The inside of the cafe is small. They do have some outside seating, but it's a little too hot for that right now so we just hung out inside for a second inside and left when more people started to come in. Our barista was also super nice and our drinks came out fast. Definitely check this place out!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a week day for post lunch coffee. Located in EaDo, the coffee shop surprisingly has a huge lot next to it with plenty of parking. Inside of a small house, very cute vibe. There are about 4 bar seats around the counter then one large table occupying the remaining space. This is probably the most cliquish coffee shop I've visited. Everyone seems to know the owner, and a bit hard to tell who's in line to order vs. just there to hang out. Ordered the iced horchata latte, a little sweet but tasted great. (And yes, you saw that right, there's a chihuahua on the counter)

Isabell D.

Yelp
Such a cute little coffee shop. Extremely quick service and I got my coffee quick. This may not be the best place if you plan on staying, there is very limited seating with the seating very close together. If the weather is nice they do have outdoor seating.
google avatar

Erika R.

Yelp
I came to Houston for the weekend and my sister always talks about this coffee usually I'm not a big fan of iced coffee is hard to find a place where they do it in the right way because sometimes tastes watering but this horchata ice latte is the best I've ever tried
google avatar

Yelp
Oso Coffee is located on the East End in the 2nd Ward next to other small businesses, and as of right now, it is only open for a limited time from 9 am to 2 pm. There is a parking lot on the side for the small businesses there. Upon enetering Oso, there is merch on the left side, a seating area on the right side, and a small selection of various baked goods. The place is pretty small and the seating area can only fit a few people, but the decor is really cute and has a nice wall of drawings. Their menu has a lot of basic drinks and also a special drinks. I got the horchata latte and the horchata strawberry surprise along with a concha. The horchata latte was one of the best I have ever had! It was cinnamony, but not too overwhelmingly sweet, which I like. The horchata strawberry surprise was on the sweeter side, but it was super good with a himt of cinnamon and had a good portion of strawberry jam. The concha I got paired well with the horchata latte, and I really enjoyed both drinks. Overall, I really enjoyed the drinks here. The vibes of the shop was cute and felt very personal, and the workers were also nice. I would definitely come back!

Charles W.

Yelp
Great coffee and their smash burger is awesome!!! Try their Horchata Latte!!! This is not your bougie-high end coffee shop. If you think you're too good to be talking to anyone, this is NOT for you. It's more like "you're sitting at your abuela's breakfast table with your cousins" atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
Yassss, get some OSO in your life! I love the caramel oat milk latte. The tacos with hot dog wieners are delicious and that salsa is everything. The staff and owner are always so kind and engaging. I'm really grateful that I get to call this my favorite neighborhood coffee shop.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute small coffee joint in EaDo. We had breakfast near the area and wandered about this place because we all wanted some coffee. Not too much seating and when we went it was pretty packed inside. They have a small outside seating area that would be great when the weather is nice out! Really nice flavors and cool vibes!
google avatar

Alphise W.

Yelp
I love this place! The Horchata latte has me in a choke hold it is soooooo good. Hot or iced equally good. Located in the heart of 2nd Ward reasonably priced, great friendly service. They have inDoor and outdoor seating areas to relax and enjoy your coffee.

Yelp
Turning an old house into a coffee shop is the best idea, especially when the coffee is delicious. There is street parking in front of the house as well as a parking lot next to it. I like when there is parking options Since I had a stroller and a 23 month old, I was so relieved to see a ramp. The struggle is real when you have 2 kids under 2 years old. Absolutely dog friendly! They offer a puppicino for your fur babies and I love it! Next time I'll bring my dog. Also, a dog bowl outside on the porch for those thirsty pups that want a non coffee option...HA! Very small space inside with limited seating but super cute layout. Drink: I had the horchata latte iced. Delicious and highly recommend. One might think that it's a sweet coffee because of horchata in the name but it isn't super sweet and you definitely get the hint of horchata flavor. If you want to minimize plastic waste then you are able to bring your own mug, cup, or insulated drinking device. Which I did, and was super excited that I could use my own!! Food: concha and piggy (I don't know what the actually name is but you'll know what I mean when you see it) was devoured by myself and my daughter. Great with coffee! Our barista was super friendly, absolutely looked like he enjoyed being there, and was sweet to my daughter. We ordered quite a bit of pastries for me to carry and lug my kids around, which he notice and helped me carry my food to the table. Sunday morning was a great day to go because we were able to take our drinks with us and go to the east end farmers market across the street.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
As soon as I walked in, I felt at home. The owner Hector spoke to me like I've known him for years. I ordered the Horchata latte...it was delicious! I didn't have to add anything to it. I also ordered the weenie and egg taco, which was made to perfection and hit the spot. I will be definitely coming back.
google avatar

Lynn M.

Yelp
Dog friendly place. Everyone that works there are super nice and welcoming. Got a cinnamon roll warmed. This was good! I also got concha vanilla and this tasted soft and fresh as well. I got the horchata ice latte this was good as well. I would definitely come back here. They have a patio seating and a small indoor space.
google avatar

Yasmeen R.

Yelp
Walked in got greeted by both cashier and a guest at the restaurant, seems to be a regular. I Was in a rush, asked for the top selling coffee. I was suggested the horchata vanilla brew ? Not sure the actual name all I remember is horchata. And it was fresh! Delicious! Las conchas estaban calientitas 10/10
google avatar

Jeret G.

Yelp
Nice spot for coffee and snack. The vibe was right and the cat (missed photo opp) was cool. The coffee house music was on point and the coffee itself was great. Check it out!
google avatar

Jackson A.

Yelp
How can anyone give negative reviews to this independently owned (*we love you Hector), super community-oriented Cafe with stellar coffee and Mexican pastries (*savory +sweet)? The Oso staff are kind and the service has to be on point because it's a small place. It has limited seating indoor, but a great patio area. The location is great on Navigation and they have great premium small batch Oso brand coffee beans for sale alongside great t-shirts and other Oso themed merch. I have meetings there all the time and am never disappointed with the vibes. Go and see for yourself!

Alexa P.

Yelp
Absolute best coffee shop in Houston. Best coffee, matcha, tea, staff, and vibes. They make you feel like family. No other place like Oso.

Yelp
Add another spot to your weekend #drinklocal coffee house rotation. Oso Coffee is located in the East End in a restored 1940s bungalow home. It's directly across from the historic Navigation Esplanade and legendary Ninfa's on Navigation. Yeah, you know exactly what spot I'm referring to. Ever since they announced their soft opening hours (Sundays only) a few months ago, we've been meaning to drop in. And finally, this Sunday as we made plans to check out the East End Farmers Market, we found the perfect opportunity to pop over for caffeine and A/C. The menu features their own coffee roast (currently a Mexican Chiapas coffee) made from Ten Fold Coffee Company, with plans to introduce more coffee roasts. I ordered an almond milk latte with vanilla; and the beau went straight for the Horchata Brew, which is two shots of espresso atop their iced horchata. It went down in record time. And the owner Hector was kind enough to offer a free refill so that I could snag a taste. Delightful. And quite possibly addictive - beware! You'll find bagged coffee and merch available, Mexican pastries/pan dulces, indoor and outdoor seating, and a dog-friendly patio - water bowls included. Soft opening hours: 9am-2pm on Sundays only (this is temp, y'all. Stay tuned for expanding hours).

Yelp
I haven't left a review in a long time...but reactivated my account for this. I came here looking for a place near my home to work and have some coffee. It was promising at first, with ample parking and a good location near downtown. However, immediately entering I was met with stares and awkward silence from the guy behind the counter and six other people inside. Instead of a simple "Hello", "Welcome" or any other type of normal salutation he asked, "How can we help you...this isn't Starbucks..." then asked if it was my first time there. I was still trying to recover from the previous comment I just said, "Yes." What I really wanted to say was, "My first AND my last." I should've just left but instead, I ordered. I ordered the popular horchata iced coffee and even left a small tip despite the strange and rude interaction. This was the most clique-ish coffee shop I have ever been to, clearly all family/friends. The guy behind the counter was feeding treats to a small puppy that was there and I'm not sure he washed his hands in between making coffees for the other people that made it in after me. This is not a place to do work or answer any type of call because it is extremely loud. The coffee, staff, and ambiance left much to be desired.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place because i've heard many things about it but the matcha and horchata tasted really bland . But i really enjoyed the service and its in a great location. Maybe I just have to get something else but I also didn't like paying $8 for a drink

Zenab C.

Yelp
The service was great! The coffee and pastries just phenomenal! I taste the coffee and, horchata! Perfectly balanced. Paired with a warm and delightful creamy vanilla custard dessert! Worth every penny! The name is nifty and the style of coffee shop is so well thought out. Love it! Love it! Love it! Would recommend it to anyone!

Lauren R.

Yelp
Went here after getting brunch at Ninfas. It was a pleasant (yet cold) walk from the farmers market there on Sundays. When you walk in it's bustling with noise and people. It seems to be popular though I've never heard of it. The cashiers were friendly and the barista was funny and sweet and clumsy (in a charming way). I'd definitely tell my friends about it. I got a vanilla oat milk latte with an extra shot and my friend got the horchata latte.

Jamarcus L.

Yelp
Giving this coffee shop 5 stars because of the experience and the customer service. I went during the grand opening, and even with a busy crowd, I had a great engagement with the owners and staff. Also, I really enjoyed the Matcha Latte I ordered, with added sweetener. I didn't get to try any pastries, but they seemed to have a good variety. I also liked that they had parking available which is hard to find in EADO sometimes. It is a small shop, but they have outdoor seating and even a speakeasy in the back! I will be back when I am in the area!
