Ospi Montecito

I had a great experience here at Ospi on opening day. I originally made a reservation for myself, but once I stepped inside the restaurant the beautiful bar was tempting me to park myself there. I love the vibrant green glass top! I started with the Lusty Martini, which is made with passion fruit. It was so good!! Highly recommend this cocktail if you love passion fruit like me. For food, I ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni and added two meatballs. Hands down thee best spicy rigatoni and meatballs I’ve ever had! The vodka sauce is exactly what I’ve been looking for in a sauce. Creamy, rich, spicy and full of flavor. I’m so glad I added the meatballs too! They were well seasoned and delicious. I opted for one more drink and tried the Bellezza. I think it was similar to a margarita, and also enjoyable. Overall, the customer service was great and I’m looking forward to going back to explore more from the menu.

Staff was very attentive and kind. Food was delicious. Drinks, appetizers and mains were well paced, we didn’t feel rushed. We sat out on the patio and it was lovely would definitely return.

Nice patio facing the roundabout. Plenty of space heaters. Kale salad and cauliflower apps were delicious. I’d order both again. The margherita pizza was disappointing. Crust was chewy and was missing the lightness it should possess. Great flavor, just a subpar crust. Take a trip to Bettina and see how they do theirs please. Super Tuscan by the glass was pleasant. Cannoli were tasty, though I’ve had better in Boston’s North End. Service was…serviceable. It’s opening night & they’re still learning. The dining room manager in the bright magenta blouse was a ray of sunshine. Genuine and enthusiastic & lovely. We’ll be back to try more of the menu.

I’ve been here twice now, and I would come here every week if I could afford it! The food is phenomenal. The raschiatelli is such a unique pasta dish, so flavorful and something I’ve never had before. I would also recommend the spicy rigatoni alla vodka and the creamy pesto pasta (not pictured)! The pizza was yummy and had a thin but crispy crust, and the cannoli were the perfect sweet treat at the end.

Went to check out Ospi for brunch on Saturday, their brunch menu was amazing, so many good options, the eggplant, breakfast burritos, egg pizza and homemade scones were a favorite for our group! We sat on the patio, it’s super nice, I can’t wait to go back and try out the dinner menu. The fire pit outside is a huge bonus!

We had such a great experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing, everything came out fast, and they even sat us without a reservation. You have to try the kale salad — and their cannoli and tiramisu? Unreal. The Margherita pizza was exactly like the one I had in Rome — seriously, so good. The atmosphere was great too. The area around the restaurant is full of greenery, and it honestly feels like you’re sitting somewhere in the middle of a forest. Super chill and cozy. Definitely recommending this spot.

Great happy hour value. The food rivals any restaurant in Montecito. Three glasses of wine five martinis five appetizers 200 bucks. A party of four and we walked away with leftovers. Table 63 is awesome. Definitely a repeat and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Very cute location, with a good vibe yet cool! I ordered the spaghetti al pomodoro and it was good, different than what I expected as someone who lived in Italy and is used to eating this dish A LOT. I can’t quite say what was different, maybe the tomatoes used - as the color of the sauce is hinting - but ot was a good dish yes! And for the first time in the US I had a pasta al dente as they should be!

First time for dinner for four of us. This new place is very likely to turn Tre Lune and other Italian places in Montecito into fast food joints. Happy, upbeat atmosphere. Although every table and the bar were full, the inside noise level was passable (we left Tre Lune the last time we were there because the noise was unbearable and the service slow). The pepperoni pizza was spectacular (we ordered as an appetizer to share), and the other pasta dishes (Indeed, everything we ordered) were great. Service was very attentive and food was delivered hot and timely. Parking is easy. What not to really like?

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience last night at Ospi Montecito. While the food itself was very good, the service and execution of our celebration left much to be desired. We were a party of six there to celebrate our son's recent engagement. Upon arrival, my daughter explained to the hostess that we were celebrating an engagement. The hostess kindly offered a choice of champagne or dessert with "Congratulations" written on the plate. My daughter requested the dessert and reiterated that it was an engagement celebration. We were seated on the lovely outdoor patio and placed our drink orders. When the drinks arrived, my daughter's Aperol Spritz was completely flat--no carbonation at all. We decided to overlook this and did not bring it to the server's attention. We ordered appetizers, which arrived promptly and were very good. However, after finishing our cocktails and appetizers, we sat for approximately 20 minutes before anyone cleared our plates or took our dinner orders. During this time, our water glasses were empty, and no one offered refills until we flagged down a staff member. The same issue occurred later in the evening--our water glasses sat empty until we again had to ask for service. When our entrees arrived, all were served except for my husband's. None of the staff noticed that one guest had not been served, so we all sat awkwardly without eating for about 10 minutes before asking a server to check on the missing meal. We were told his order had been lost. At that point, the rest of our entrees were cold. My husband's meal finally arrived just as the rest of us were finishing. The most disappointing moment came with dessert. Instead of the promised engagement "Congratulations" plate, we were presented with a dessert bearing a candle while the staff sang "Happy Birthday." It was both awkward and disheartening.

Stopped into Ospi Montecito during happy hour and sat at the bar the service was excellent from start to finish. I ordered the mini cocktail flight, the crispy provolone (the sauce with this was so good), and the spicy rigatoni. Everything flavorful and perfectly prepared. Great food, great drinks, great service no complaints at all. I'll definitely be back.

Ospi was a dream come true, immaculate vibes. I have a new obsession restaurant. The menu, food, coastal aesthetic and super friendly staff made this place as instant win in my books. Made reservations for brunch and while their patio is cute, I'm more a dining room gal (I need views of the bar and air conditioning). Ospi restaurant is located at The Post and it is the perfect spot for a meal, cocktail, and little hang. Their decor is simply gorgeous inside, well done and chic. The bar as perfect lighting and the touches of gold made the bar pop. The menu here for brunch and afterwards are "chefs kiss perfection" I love that their brunch menu has traditional breakfast pairings, but more me and most importantly, solid mains like pizza - sandwiches - and appetizers. I walked away having highlighted so many dishes that I need to go back to try. Here's what I ordered: 805 cocktail week - Pasta Water Martini. What a dream.....ice cold martini crafted with literal salted pasta water and dashes of olive oil. It's fun, unique, and turned heads. If you like an adventurous cocktail - this one's for you! Margarita Pizza - the thinnest sliced pizza that transports you to Italy, amazing sauce. OMG was this pizza heavenly and one I won't soon forget People that know me know that pizza isn't usually on my radar but when the pizza is made this fabulously, I crave it and will have to come back for their vodka sauce pie. Fried Halibut Sandwich - GET THIS! When you need a break from pasta and pizzas, their sandwiches here are elite. My lightly fried halibut sandwich was phenomenal. Crispy, fresh fish with spicy slaw, pickles, and dresssing - one of the best fish sandwiches I've had in a long time. I opted for their Cesar salad and this was the right call. They dress their Cesar salads extremely well and it was the perfect side dish to cut all of the bread and carbs. I want to acknowledge the staff and team that work here because sevice was outstanding! With reservations we were sat immediately and the meal was extremely well paced. My cocktail came out within 5 minutes and our food very shortly thereafter. Everyone here is super nice and it's got a teamwork feel. Staff were all helping each other and I sat facing their open face kitchen which was super impressive. Everyone is professional yet seem like best friends. Restaurant had a death on site (kitchen) overnight. Stayed open for brunch service despite this significant event. No shame. Not surprised. Montecito will continue to put profit over people. Shows how little they care for their staff. Do not support this establishment. How about closing and providing counseling resources for workers who discovered the deceased person? Shame on you OSPI

Came here last Friday night; I had made reservations a couple of weeks prior so we were seated after a few minutes. FYI the front door is a little hidden to someone new to this location (it faces the roundabout, not the parking lot). Outdoor seating and waiting area (with a fire pit) are nice and cozy. Love the vibes inside as well. The outdoor seating faces the street but since it's in Montecito it's pretty quiet, at least on Friday evening. Service was just okay. Our server was fine, but not amazing. My group and I got the ricotta toast, caesar salad, and calamari for the table to start. The caesar salad oddly came out almost immediately, before the ricotta toast and calamari. The ricotta was super thick and luscious, it was almost like mozzarella. Calamari was nice and crispy and not too salty. Caesar salad was okay. My friend and I split the capione pizza and spicy vodka pasta. The pasta was delicious. The pizza also had great flavors, it was just slightly too thin for our liking (it was almost like the crust was a matzo cracker). BTW--parking is valet only. On Friday evening it was $15.

Bummer. Came for lunch and split our meal between the crispy parm and the Godson. We were not blown away or satisfied. The crispy parm is a circular mozzarella stick. We did not care for it. The Godson is their version of an Italian sandwich. It needed something to spice it up like a giardinara or peppercinis. I would have definitely ordered a few more cheese slices. We both wanted a crisp glass of Chardonnay and their wine menu is extremely disappointing. We tried a few types and called it quits. We both said we would try dinner and bring our own wine, but are skipping lunch here. Not our jam.

Day 1 of Ospi opening and I'm not disappointed! I love to see this part of town coming back to life. Ospi is located across from the bird refuge and on the outskirts of Montecito. Finding the restaurant is a little confusing, because the exterior says "The Post", but not to worry as they are working it out with the signage. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you are welcomed by the beautiful green glass U shaped bar! Stocked with the best liquor and fresh ingredients to prepare your cocktail. I chose the Lusty Martini to start. I don't normally order Martinis, but if it says Passionfruit then I'm ordering it! This drink was perfectly made, tangy and subtly sweet. The ingredients are super fresh! I also tried the Bellezza. Not sure if it's considered a margarita, but it's definitely a refreshing drink with hints of cucumber, lemon, and mint. Loved it! For food, I ordered the spicy rigatoni alla vodka and added two meatballs. Hands down the best spicy rigatoni I've ever had!! The flavor profile is giving a creamy, buttery, spicy taste which is exactly what I wanted. The meatballs are also full of delicious flavors and a must add on. Customer service at the bar was excellent! Thank you Jess & Jacqueline for your service. I can't wait to come back and try more on the menu!

I stopped in here with my nephew, my husband and my two younger kiddos. I was a bit nervous as the place had a fancy Montecito air and we were straight from the beach, dressed rather OC casual. I asked to be seated on the patio and they quickly accommodated us. Our server was sweet and friendly and the food came out quick but not overly so. The kids enjoyed their meals and cleaned their plates. In fact pretty much everyone did. The grilled artichoke and meatball appetizers were the favorites. The only reason I gave 4 stars was the cabbage appetizer was charred nicely but still raw and was difficult cut through let alone to share and the fact that still water that wasn't even chilled was $8.00. I would come again.

My new favorite spot! Its sooo cute & the staff is super nice! The food and cocktails are amazing! The mini cocktail flight is adorable. The kale salad, crispy provolone and cannoli were some of my favorite items. I cant wait to try their brunch or come for dinner because i heard i should try the chicken parm.

Came here for the first time for an early birthday dinner with friends. We sat on the patio and loved the ambiance, we also got pretty pictures during sunset. Drinks were yummy! We only tried two dishes (cauliflower & spicy rigatoni) as we weren't too hungry but both were delicious. Will be back soon to try more.

Lovely spot and really good food. Amy made us feel like we were right at home and Parker took care of us wonderfully. He was there when we needed him yet not intrusive. My favorite dish was the eggplant- simply delicious and so different from the norm. We also enjoyed the steak tartare, prawns and kale salad. Sitting on the patio overlooking the bird refuge and enjoying the warm summer evening was reminiscent of cafe del sol days of long ago. Thank you Ospi for giving Montecito another great option for dining.

A Santa Barbara 4, an LA 3. The appetizers that I had here were above average. The Japanese eggplant was made in a way that brought out all of its flavors and the prawns were elevated by their cooking method. My personal favorite was the kale salad and added kanpachi, lightly seared and mixed in as a balanced addition. The pastas, I can see their aim but they miss a little. One was overly salted (raschiatelli) and the other (Cecil e tria) was slightly undercooked, yes, less than al dente. Adding the drinks and the desserts to the equation made it a good enough meal, but eh, I was left wishing for a little more. It may be that the convincing lands on the pizzas, if so, I will update this. Otherwise, it's just another decent spot.

Overall, I really enjoyed my mail here. I like that the prices are slightly more reasonable than some of the other Italian neighbors. The salad was delicious, and the pizzas were light and tasty and the setting was lovely. Seemed relaxed and not too much of a scene. I will be back.

Welcome to Montecito Ospi!!! The food, atmosphere, service, and location are so great. This is the type of place we needed for so long. Everything we ate was delicious! I recommend the spicy rigatoni. The patio is stunning as is the bar! We are going back for our second visit again next week.

Beautiful setting and easy Sunday vibes. Good brunch lineup. Outdoor seating was breezy and relaxed, with a great breakfast playlist in the background. Shoutout to Amy and Parker, attentive and fun. We had a lot of laughs and felt taken care of. Tried the Italian Countryside Breakfast - the grilled bread had great texture and the tots were extra crunchy!!! Exactly how you hope they'll come out. Just wish the bacon had been crisp. *** Also ordered the Crispy Halibut Sandwich - a favorite. The halibut had a perfect crunch, flaky and fresh inside. Slaw was crisp, and the Dijon mayo had just the right kick. I added a bit of ***honey to the sauce-total game changer!!! Would order this again without hesitation. We sat outside but also love the interior! Definitely planning to come back. Casual, delicious, and great energy all around.

Such an awesome experience! They just opened recently and already have it all figured out. The service was great, amazing ambiance outside with nice heaters, and delicious food!! We got the Pepe-roni pizza & chicken Parmesan, both 10/10.

This was place is so so cute! I loved the interior design. For food, I had the meatballs with a side of bread and tried a few bites from my family's dishes. The plates were fine - I wish the meatballs had more sauce to them, but the bread was very good. I also appreciated the portion size as this was plenty for me for dinner. I had a few bites of the salmon plate with veggies, and that was pretty good.

Everything about this place is AMAZING. Don't take any pictures, but I had the Caesar salad and margherita pizza, along with a maragarita. 10/10

Their signature pasta and kale salad was amazing. Pizza was a bit spicy. Probably wouldn't have it again. Margaritas were great. They have a 3-5pm happy hour too!

My wife and I started going to Ospi the first week they opened for Lunch and Dinner and have lloved everything about the restaurant from ambience to quality food nicely prepared This time we tried the breakfast and was not disappointed The food was extremely fresh and the pancakes were the best ever Got the opportunity to chat with the GM, Amy Grant , and was truly a delightful experience This is our go-to restaurant, hands down, for all occasions

Gorgeous new location! I absolutely love the service and the food here. I highly recommend the vodka pasta, the pizzas and the chicken Parmesan. The dishes are high-quality, seasoned and cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. Prices are fair considering the quality used. Beautiful space with plenty of seating. Wonderful for date night or special occasion, highly recommended!

Food was phenomenal and service was amazing. The leave is very well designed and we were seating quickly. Our server Sadie did a great job and gave us amazing recommendations. We will definitely go back.

I'm sorry but the pasta here is really not great both in taste and plating/aesthetic. The pesto pasta had no nuts in it at all and the general color and appearance of it looked incredibly un-apetizing - Slime colored, odd consistency, and drowning in sauce I attached a pic of the pasta as it's shown online - it's a strange lighter green in person, but how did they think that looks appealing?!?!

Nice interior and friendly servers. However, we got seated 40 minutes after our reservation time and they didn't even say sorry. By the time we were eating most of the restaurant was empty and the employees started cleaning which wasn't pleasant. Most of the food my friends had were good but I had the Mandilli and I honestly didn't like it at all. But the Copione pizza, calamari, and cannoli was great. I tried Rigatoni and that was great. My White Russian wasn't too bad as well.

New spot with great food & service. Patio is so relaxing. And can we talk about the pizza. If your pizza crust isn't this thin what are you eating?

We love this restaurant. Busy Friday night. Our family of six shared the kale salad, 3 different pizzas, Branzino, and Chicken Parm. Service was on point and we were well taken care of. Beautiful evening to enjoy al fresco dinner.

Called Amy Grant who is the general manager to inform her about my experience and she's hasn't returned my call yet. It's no wonder her staff sucks and this place can't get their act together. Andrew the "other" manager in charge is also unprofessional. The staff needs more training and the food here sucks besides the kale salad. The bartenders don't know the different between a lusty martini and a basic margarita. This place is a shit hole and needs new staffing and better management.

close and never return. fuck you all for caring more about profit then your employees. you are causing them TRAUMA by FORCING them to prep cook and serve when their coworker DIED. you all have horrible energy coming to you

Service - Excellent. I felt like I was very well taken care of. My server stopped by regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. Food - Out of this world, especially the chicken parm sandwich. I ordered the chicken parm and the breakfast burrito. Chicken parm was truly miraculous - the bread was light and fluffy, and tasted freshly baked. The breakfast burrito was bursting with fresh flavors, and didn't feel heavy as breakfast burritos so often do. Decor - The restaurant itself is impeccably decorated. The motif is different from the other Ospi locations, and it may be the best decorated of the different restaurants. Overall this is a 5/5 out of five - I can't say enough good things about Ospi Montecito. I will be back for sure.

So iv been here a few times now and honestly the service and drinks at their place are great! However when it comes to the food I am not impressed. It's not bad or anything it's just not great. For the price I expect more. So I categorize this restaurant as mid.

So painfully average. The food, the service, and the ambiance. As a local I've given this place a couple of tries (bc I really wanted to like it) but have been disappointed each time. Food reminds me of slightly elevated airplane food. Bummer.

OSPI handled our group of 36 extremely well. Given the size of our lunch group, this was a fixed-menu booking and a take-over of the outside patio. The booking was set up and managed by email, and was easily done. Both the food and the service exceeded our expectations, and the value for money was great. The dessert canoli's were out of this world!

Excellent food, great friendly staff! The setting is perfect we can't wait to visit again.

Made reservations for a Sunday dinner. Showed up. Received a horrible treatment from the host. She wanted to sit us outside. We weren't comfortable with that. That's where the unprofessional behavior started. They sat us eventually in the back room where waitresses were taking their break. The entire restaurant was empty. We decided to leave. Why start a restaurant when your staff has below par training.

Went on a Saturday to celebrate my grandma's 74th birthday and everyone in my party loved their food! Our server was very friendly and made great suggestions. I would return if I am in the area :)

Husband & I had excellent meal here. We ordered the Marg Pizza. LOVE their unique thin crust. Their Chicken Parm sandwich was scrumptious! SOOO GOOD! Lovely ambiance. Service was fine. Good new option in Montecito.

I loved everything about this place. the interior is beautifully done and the outside space gorgeous. the service was impeccable. the food was excellent. I have been several times. I love the pizza the eggplant branzino and pastas. can't recommend enough!!!!

Delicious!! We had the calamari salad, pizza, the braise beef ribs, and I had the lusty martini an every thing was sooo on point!! Service was impeccable- thanks, Ella!!
