"In the quieter cove area south of Seaside’s hopping downtown, sweet little Osprey Café rocks breakfast and lunch with an internationally eclectic pantry. Nasi goreng — Indonesian fried rice — with a sunny-side-up egg at 10 a.m.? Yes, please. Watch surfers or trek up Tillamook Head, then warm up with a plate of cheesy arepas or pork belly banh mi. Heated outdoor seating and take-out pastries and coffee are also available, welcoming neighborhood dog walkers. The specials are stellar — think Dungeness crab crepes or halibut tacos — so be sure to ask what’s new that day." - Jennifer Burns Bright

This place was BUSY during 4th of July breakfast but we were seated promptly. The inlet I got was probably one of the most delicious omelets I have ever had. I had a garden omelet with bacon. Breakfast potatoes were alright … for some reason with my omelet I had way less of them than my husband with his eggs Benedict. Grapefruit juice was very good tasted fresh squeezed. Our server was very nice and checked on us often. It did take a very long time for our food to arrive but the place was very busy and the server did mention that the wait for food was a bit longer.

Ok… so this place is AMAZING!!!!!! I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful this little gem of a restaurant is… Michelle is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SERVER!! Kind and attentive ❤️ You literally walk in here and just feel the love. THE FOOD 🤤 you can taste the freshness of every single ingredient. 10/10 on every level.

This little cafe has such a lovely, warm atmosphere and delicious food to match! The staff were so welcoming and kind. I got the crab eggs Benedict and my partner got the smoked salmon scramble. Both were delicious, side of home fries were crispy and well seasoned. I also got a white mocha and it is actually one of the best white mochas I’ve ever had!!! 1000% recommend. Nice fireplace and cozy vibe, not a lot of tables indoors so be prepared for at least a short wait. We waited ~10 minutes for a winter Saturday morning around 10am, which from reading other reviews is an unusually short wait haha.

Google
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The arepas are a thing of magic. Crunchy, smooth, perfection. You can also get the eggs Benedict with arepas (just do it). The huevos rancheros was so good! We also had the fried oysters, perfectly fried, seasoned, and breaded. The French toast was amazing too. The Bloody Mary is perfect as was the French 75. Service was great and this place is so cute. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

Google
It was busy! That's always a good sign. Even while it was abuzz, we were greeted and updated while we waited for a table. The food was terrific. The oyster shooters were a standout. They were huge and layered perfectly with sauces. As a bonus, while dining with my 2 daughters they were able to see a serving area staffed primarily by women. They did a wonderful job and demonstrated how hard work and friendliness make for a big success in business. No men were required. 😂 Thank you for the great experience!

Google
We had a large group of 10 as we were visiting for a memorial. That wouldn't typically work inside their small cafe but they did have an outdoor area out back that was covered and had heat lamps. We knew patience was a must but the service was fantastic. I absolutely loved the crab eggs benedict and my daughter loved the pancake plate. Typically, I'm very picky about runny whites and there was only a miniscule amount that wasn't bothersome. It was light, flavorful, and not heavy! In fact, I had a room for a little extra and I asked if they had scones. They just took out a fresh batch of pomegranate-strawberry. These were divine and easily the best scones I ever had. Apparently a popular bakery closed here and they passed along their recipes to this place. Keep up the beautiful eats and can't wait to be back!

Excellent breakfast beach spot. Food right up there with Tin Shed in Portland, probably better. Super tiny so get there early or expect to wait. Staff is super friendly and keeps the vibe positive.

Google
Cute busy spot with outdoor seating. Don’t miss the arepas, you can also sub them in your benny! Fresh OJ & the French toast & lots of rotating specials👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food and service. We were staying within walking distance and put our names down on the waitlist and they gave us a call 20 minutes later to let us know our table was ready. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Food was delicious - I got their veggie scramble and added poached eggs and cheese which were both upcharges. Potatoes were sooo good and the veggies were amazing as well. Yum! Definitely coming back here if we're ever in seaside again. I got their elderflower mimosa and YUM. They had delicious drinks and a ton of breakfast drink options. My partner got a margarita and it was one of the best margaritas either of us has ever had. Server was SO lovely and kind and welcoming. Great way to start our trip! Super cute and intimate space, and absolutely worth the wait.

Yelp
The cutest little beach cafe restaurant. I lived in New York for many years and this spot has me feeling like I'm back in the Hamptons chilling in the summer. Super busy, so I would recommend a reservation; there is an hour wait and it's only 11:33 AM. It's worth the wait so all happy campers over here! Great food! Great music and nice aesthetics with. Cozy fireplace in the main dining room. I'm happy ordering to pick up since there are bar stools my puppy, my boyfriend, and I can causally wait on by the front door. Nice breeze on a cool spring and very sunny day!

Tim M.

Yelp
An excellent gem in Seaside! Be sure to get there early as it is a small place and usually busy! The food is excellennntttt! I recommend the eggs Benedict or the delicious breakfast burrito! I didn't have any lunch, but the lunch menu looks just as good and I recommend checking that out as well. Staff is friendly and awesome, and the place smells like wholesome, holy coffee.

Maecy P.

Yelp
My family and I shared the plate of french toast as an "appetizer" which was the best thing we had. It's custard soaked and SO delicious. Hands down the best french toast I've ever had. Next, I had the steelhead eggs benedict which was also very good. Arepas as the bottom (I did those instead of an English muffin,) were super yummy and cheesy. The hollandaise was homemade and tasted it! Very delicious, rich, and creamy. Potatoes on the side were not my fav, I ate one piece. The steelhead on the benedict was smoked and top tier, they give you a lot. Coffee was good and strong. My dad's avocado toast was good, but just pretty middle of the line. You could make it at home. Service was nice, outdoor dining tent was nice, wait was LONG to get food. Would come back for french toast.

Christine C.

Yelp
Fantastic service, music, best french toast EVER! Fun ambiance-- great recommendations for local things to do. Highly recommend.

Katie B.

Yelp
We had a delicious To Go order from Osprey Cafe! It was hopping in there, but they seemed to work as a team and did great!! The coffee was fresh and delicious. The food was ready quickly and also delicious. I ordered our bacon "we'll done" because I hate floppy bacon, and this bacon was perfect. The Bloody Mary was also VERY good! I highly recommend Osprey Cafe!

Marc L.

Yelp
Loved this place! I forgot to photo before I dug in because it looked so tasty! Well it was! I had it on their arepa bread instead of the English muffin. So good! Eggs were perfect and creamy, the game thin sliced and very flavorful and the hollandaise sauce ... don't even get me started! I could take a bath in it. It was light and had a touch of bacon tasted due to the fact they incorporated the dripping from the back on in it. Top 3 I've ever had! My wife had the standard egg, bacon and toast all were delicious she said. The place is small but cozy, service was great as well. Get there early or you'll be on the waitlist which is worth waiting for.

Loveakira4ever ..

Yelp
Honestly? Best coffee in the town, if you just want coffee i recommend getting it here. If you're in a hurry for food it's definitely not for you. We waited an hour for food with other tables that came after us getting served before us. With a hangry husband, it made for an unpleasant wait. Though he said the food was worth it. The food was very good though so if you're touring make time for it. My husband got the crab Benedict and it was very flavorful and moist. I got the Indonesian breakfast and it was very satisfying for a breakfast dish, there was also alot of it.

Soumya A.

Yelp
We came here for brunch on a Monday morning and left with full stomachs and happy taste buds! They have some indoor seating, but we chose to sit in their heated and covered tent outside. It was cold outside, but the tent did it's job and didn't let us feel a thing. My boyfriend got the Bay Shrimp Benedict, which he gave a 5/5! I was unsure of how this would be presented, but the shrimp was in bite sized pieces (which was a huge plus). I got the Ocean Vista Breakfast Hash, which I'd give a 4/5. I loved the flavor, but wished it had more veggies and less potatoes. It was also a tad bit oily. This was a great place to stop for a meal and I'd recommend it to everyone! Will definitely be coming back next time we're in Seaside :-)

Katrina H.

Yelp
Super yummy breakfast! Great service and convenient location! We sat outside (with heat lamps) and it was fantastic! Will definitely go again!

David C.

Yelp
The service is super friendly, the interior is quaint and colorful, and the menu selection is interesting and diverse with well-prepared food. What more can I say?

T J.

Yelp
Really good homemade hollandaise and eggs Benedict. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff. They also make a delicious latte!

Jim P.

Yelp
My wife and I have eaten at the Osprey Cafe at least half a dozen times in the last 8 years and have always enjoyed the quality food and friendly attentive service. The eclectic menu is short with limited options for my dairy free diet however, I can always find something tasty! Seating is limited but is worth the short wait. The outside tent dining has helped speed up seating some, however I prefer a cozy spot next to the fireplace! As a local I can say, probably the best breakfast in town. (The coffee definitely is!)

Robert K.

Yelp
This is a neat little place in Seaside. They have kind of an espresso shop inside their cafe. I called prior to arriving to see if I could put in my name on a wait list for breakfast. The lady who answered put me on hold for 5 minutes so I finally just hung up. We got there and the place was really busy on a sunday morning around 11:30am. They lady told me it would be about 30 minutes wait. We got seated after about 20 mins. It's a pretty small place. I got the pancake breakfast with bacon and eggs over medium. It was pretty good. I also got a cappuccino and I liked that. Others in my group got shrimp Benedict, breakfast burrito, and the steelhead Omlette. They enjoyed their meals. The next time I am in seaside I might stop in here for breakfast.

Ali D.

Yelp
I've lived here over a year and heard it was the best for breakfast, but this was my first time. My first bite, I said "holy shit." It was the potatoes. Very seasoned, which I liked, but might be too much for some. I couldn't decide if I wanted savory or sweet, so I got the marionberry pancakes (special of the day), and subbed the potatoes for the eggs, crispy bacon, plus an arepa which I had to try -YUM! All of it. Sami the waitress was so sweet, friendly, and attentive. I can't wait to come back with my daughter when she comes to stay. I put my leftovers (tbh there wasn't much I didn't eat) in the car and walked out to The Cove.

Alicia B.

Yelp
Great food, amazing staff, super cute and clean!! This is the perfect place to start your morning before a day on the beach!!

Tyler G.

Yelp
The hash. A great sized portion, very friendly and welcoming staff. This restaurant is tucked off the Main Street in seaside. About the size of your homes living room. The food here is more elevated than the surrounding restaurants and it also feels cleaner and homier. I gotta give this place a 5 star and I highly recommend.

Angel W.

Yelp
Our first visit to Osprey Cafe was simply the beginning of what we hope to be many return trips. We ordered the traditional eggs Benedict and chilaquiles. Both were absolutely amazing. The hollandaise sauce was anything but ordinary and so smooth. Not as heavy as traditional, which we adored. Eggs were perfectly cooked with thin sliced ham instead of Canadian bacon that just nailed it! The chilaquiles was a layered masterpiece of perfectly seasoned chicken, a crispy yet tender arepa instead of traditional chips, over easy eggs topped with salsa and nestled in a bed of black beans. These are dishes we don't typically have for breakfast, but they will be now! Hats off to the entire staff for being friendly, welcoming and a gem to the Seaside community. Thanks for the suggestion Leo! (Hop and Vine bottle shop)

Yelp
Great little cafe in Seaside, OR! Very good breakfast and excellent homemade blueberry scones. Known for their delicious bloody Marys.

Binh T.

Yelp
Food was really good. Make sure to expect about 30mins wait for a table. I called to order for togo so we only waited about 20mins. The breakfast burrito was really good too. We got fried rice which was surprisingly good. Coffee was ok but the food was absolutely recommended.

Bonnie C.

Yelp
Best restaurant on the Oregon Coast is all I can say about this wonderful place. Attentive service. Delicious food. What more could you ask for?

Jason A.

Yelp
Spent the weekend in Seaside and also my first visit there. Unfortunately it was raining, but still had a good time nonetheless. It was a challenge locating any places to eat that has over 4 stars, so we asked the locals of their faves. Someone recommended Osprey Cafe for breakfast, and it did not disappoint. -Small place, but nice and cozy. - Friendly staff. - With the tables full, and no one in front of us, we had a 20 minute wait, in which you can leave and walk around and wait for a call when your table is ready. Super convenient! - I had the Smoked Salmon Scramble. This dish came with home fries, which I wish was a little more seasoned. But the Smoked Salmon Scramble was the best!!! My gf had the chilaquiles, and she loved it. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. This place had got to be the best in Seaside and probably on the entire Oregon Coast.

Joan W.

Yelp
This was the only place in the Astoria/Seaside/Cannon Beach area where I could get a good vegan hot breakfast with some protein, The café has a nice vibe. The servers are friendly. Service was good. Portions generous. Prices fair. Oh, and they make a really good vegan croissant!

Patrick M.

Yelp
Make sure you go plenty early for whatever else you have planned in your day because they're always very busy. I had the French toast, and the texture and ...consistency was perfect. Just as it's described custard on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. The only improvement would be to add a dash of cinnamon and a smidgen of nutmeg. The breakfast burrito was very good, but typical for American breakfast, enough to serve three people. The avocado toast was excellent,. For my taste, the bacon could've been a little crispier. Finally, I did not order the nasi goreng, but I saw someone else's. Having eaten that dish multiple times in Jakarta, I can say it looked and smelled right, and would be enough to feed you for the whole day. The next time I go back, I will definitely order it. I was too surprised to see it on the menu to have it. The service was generally very good as well.

Anna T.

Yelp
The reviews seemed so mixed. Glad we had a great experience. We were seated rather quickly. It's a small place with no padded chairs but we liked the busy atmosphere and had a good overall gut feeling. The fireplace was very inviting but seemed too big for the cramped dining space. Different servers pitched in and our coffee cups were always filled. The lady who took our order was super sweet. The others were decent too. I had the special on the board which is the chanterelle omelette with caramelized onions, greens, havarti cheese but asked to leave out the cheese. It was so tasty and creative with the caramelized onions and the way they made the omelette you get a good ratio of egg and filling throughout. Lots of it too with decent sides of toast and home fries. Nothing special on the sides they were good and filled me up. The standout was the delicious omelette dish for only $14. Would get again. More mushrooms would be nice. The arepa (corn cake with goat and cotija cheese I believe) side order seemed tiny in portion but for purpose of sampling, it was enough. We were so wowed by the amazing salsa. Hubby started dousing his eggs benny with that red sauce. I followed suit and mixed it in my ketchup to add pizazz for my taters. Delish! Their $5 scones made in house sure looked good. The brunch cocktail offering is definitely elevated. Definitely making mental notes for our future trip back to Seaside!

Tanya M.

Yelp
Michelle was amazing!!!! Thank you for taking care of my family and I! She made ever accommodation come true.

Shannon H.

Yelp
Great place - love the food and the ambiance! Service was kind and attentive at first but kind of absent when busy. I accidentally ordered an item with chicken and am a pescatarian so my bad! They were gracious about my mistake and I will be back and focus better next time.

Trina H.

Yelp
The eggs Benedict are so good. My husband loves the French toast with the real maple syrup. Go early as they get busy for breakfast, but it is worth the wait.

Michael B.

Yelp
Food was okay and overpriced. Costed 50 bucks for me, my wife, and my toddler to have breakfast: 2 coffees (4 bucks each!!), 2 dishes, and a kids menu item. Service was fine and the atmosphere was quaint, but overall way too expensive for what you're getting. Won't come here again.

kelley e.

Yelp
I like Osprey Cafe. First time we went it wasn't anything to write home about. Second time I got the eggs Benedict and it was quite delicious, generous, and well done. Big fan!!

Adam M.

Yelp
I was able to go earlier and had their sausage, egg and potatoes with an arepa instead of toast. The combination of everything was excellent. The arepa was crispy on the outside but still soft in the middle. It was served with a warm salsa which was delicious. Service was excellent too. I would recommend to anyone wanting an alternative to PigNPancake.

Jacqueline J.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was great. Everything was perfect, couldn't have been better! Next time we visit seaside we will come here for breakfast most definitely!

Althea T.

Yelp
Ummmm. Zelda, Madonna on the radio and a smash burger? A picture perfect lunch if you ask me.

Susan K.

Yelp
Not very big restaurant but worth the wait! We went right after they opened on a Sunday & didn't wait. Great service & food! Has the Fried Oysters & a side of arepas; hard to find them & they were amazing (I should just make them!) Easy location right off the Promenade at the end near the Tides.

Stacy S.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast... after a 40 minute wait for a table. It wasn't until we were seated inside that we learned we could've ordered take away and sat outside. It would've been great to know that when we first put our name on the list. We ordered tea to enjoy on the prom during our wait. When we finally eating, we did enjoy our breakfast/brunch. I had the Bay shrimp benedict and he had a breakfast burrito. Service, once seated, was great. I loved that the single serve items are compostable... however I don't think Seaside has a composting facility, so I'm guessing all of those items go to the landfill. It would be great to switch to reusable cups/ bowls for fruit, beans, etc.

Sara K.

Yelp
On a busy Easter morning, we were seated in 20 minutes. We lucked out with beautiful weather so we walked the prom while we waited and received a call when our table was ready. We got to sit inside, which I was hoping for. Service was super friendly. The veggie omelet and home fries were fresh and yummy. I'd definitely visit again in the future.

Kammil J.

Yelp
My absolute fav place to get breakfast/brunch the chilaquiles are amazing!!! Along with the arepa's. Go check it out if you haven't already!! Service is amazing And very attentive,

Mabel S.

Yelp
Incredible food and friendly service. We didn't want to wait for indoor seating so opted for outside. While it was chilly, we were offered blankets! Waitress was attentive and friendly as well.

Michelle B.

Yelp
Yep. It really is special right down to the little fruit cup. Pleasant and bright, this cafe whips up the best breakfast near the promenade. We ended up going twice on our trip! Great home fries, sourdough toast, coffee and service make this an easy repeat.Just a delightful breakfast location.

Amber C.

Yelp
This rating is for the service, as we didn't get to actually taste the food. We were looking forward to eating here after if was highly recommended by another great restaurant in town. We were initially told it would be a 20-25 minute wait, so we sat in the car waiting for them to call us. We checked back about 30 minutes later and they said there is one more table before us, so we went and sat in the car again. Another 25-30 minutes go by, so we walk back in just as a couple was being seated that had arrived 30 minutes after us. I checked the list and our name was crossed off. I let them know we've been waiting for an hour and all they could say is sorry and we can have the next table. We left after telling them we were looking forward from this and are from out of town, but this is awful service and we won't be waiting any longer. The right thing to do would have been to apologize to the guests that were being seated and seat us, but instead we wasted an hour of our time on a short vacation and are now looking for somewhere else to eat at noon.

Eduardo E.

Yelp
We normally enjoy the food here, and I was looking forward to trying their bacon cheeseburger. We are usually here for breakfasts, so this was going to be a real treat. The specter of brioche once again gives a final score of Nope. Espousers of brioche buns will insist it brings Something Special to a burger. These same people would, I suspect, happily down a ground beef patty wrapped in a dirty sock. A bad bun will overshadow whatever high quality beef and bacon might be lurking under it. Sweet bread does not go with beef. Just say no to brioche. On the up-side, the arepas are very good, so it saves my rating from sinking down to 2 stars.

Emily C.

Yelp
Would definitely come back. Small place so know you may need to wait a bit. We were seated within 30min on a busy Sunday. They take your number so you can take a walk on the promenade if you want while you wait. We had a mimosa and Bloody Mary both good. My husband got the Korean Sandwich which was good. The chicken was moist, the breading had a bit of a kick. I got the eggs Benedict which started off not the greatest. My eggs came out hard boiled. I went up to the barista because I couldn't find the waitress and she immediately went to tell the cook. Waitress brought them out along with extra hollandaise, cooked perfectly this time. Redeemed themselves with the quick turn around and delicious sauce.

Jason K.

Yelp
Really impressed with my breakfast here while staying from out of town. Great Eggs Benedict, great hash, it was all super tasty. Nicely plated too, I thought.

Martin K.

Yelp
Wow! Long wait, but WELL worth it! Bloody Mary best ever ! I mean ever!! Eggs Benedict to die for !!

Tracy S.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! This is the best little place, mercy me GO HERE! You will most likely have a long wait, don't worry it's SO worth it. This food is amazing and the service is great too. OH and cocktails. SO GOOS

Caitlin N.

Yelp
Loved the vibe, service as the food was amazing. I have been coming to seaside for 30 years and I'm so glad they finally have decent and non dive bar food in the town. Reminds me of home. Definitely my go to breakfast spot.

Julie M.

Yelp
Came in from out of town hoping to try their signature bloody mary. Wanted to sit outside since it was beautiful and the waitress told me there was not outside seating because it "might rain". Wow, way to lose a sale and a customer. ZERO rain in the forecast all day. Least friendliest place on my entire trip here in Seaside. When businesses are hurting everywhere you turn down a sale because you are too lazy to walk outside 20 feet. Bad service!!!

DJ L.

Yelp
This is an amazing place! We only go there for breakfast but I assume lunch is just as good. They have tasty options which include inspiration from American, seafood, and South American menus. Highly recommended location!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
We took the advice from other reviews and got there at 7:40 (they open at 8). This place is super cute and cozy. We got the last seats on the place when it opened thankfully. I liked the coffee and found it to be mild with very little bitterness. My kids had the pancakes and French toast. Both of them licked their plates. I was torn and ended up getting the breakfast burrito. It was a delicious burrito that was filled with eggs and tons of bacon. There were potatoes but it was not the key note feature. The sauce was very mild so I added my own kick with the copious options of hot sauce on each table. This was a home run for us. Glad we got in and glad we made this a priority.

Katie S.

Yelp
The service was wonderful, food delicious, just an adorable spot. The kids loved it too. Highly recommend stopping in for breakfast & will be back again.
