OSTARIA - Siracusa

Amazing! If you’re a meat lover or simply looking for an exceptional Italian/Sicilian dining experience with a modern twist, this is the place to go. It’s a little expensive compared to other restaurants in the area, but sometimes you just have to treat yourself—and in this case, it was absolutely worth it. I don’t remember the exact dish names, but the egg starter, the risotto, and the Angus beef were real standouts for me—10/10. If I ever return to Siracusa, I’ll definitely be coming back to OSTARIA.

Amazing meat. They know their business. One of the best restaurants for steaks in the world. Also their pasta with special meat sauce was outstanding. The only caveat is that they tried to do the usual trick - We ordered a 600 grams steak and they came to the table to show the piece which was 1,000 grams (additional of 72€). This is, of course, not appropriated. Not a cheap meal for Syracuse, but definitely one of the best

We enjoyed our dinner at Osteria. The food was exquisite and the service was attentive. We walked in at 7:30 pm on a Sunday evening and it was pretty empty. Unlike other restaurants in Sicily, Ostaria seems to have specialized in meats. Their menu includes veals, beef steaks, rabbit, pork, lamb and horse meat. Between the two of us, we shared a marinated veal carpaccio, a pasta, the lamb and beef steak. We especially liked the Bassoon pasta that was filled with eggplants and served in sheep ricotta foam and basil cream. The veal carpaccio was really good, too. They also served an amuse-bouche and different types of breads with two types of local olive oil. The ambiance is intimate and sophisticated. If you’re looking for a fine-dining experience in Syracuse that doesn’t include seafoods, Ostaria is a perfect spot.

One of the best food I had in Sicily! The meat and other ingredients are of a top quality. The only thing which may be improved is an atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly but a bit stiffed and too 'careful', coming too often to ask if something is missing, etc. I personally prefer a bit more casual approach.

Dining at Ostaria Siracusa was an absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we walked in until the final bite of dessert, everything was truly top-notch. We enjoyed a full menu — starter, first course, second course, and dessert — and each dish was beautifully presented and incredibly refined. The standout moment was the second course: the meat was cooked to absolute perfection — without a doubt, the best we’ve ever had. Every bite showed real craftsmanship in the kitchen. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They anticipated our needs without being intrusive and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Each course was paired with a carefully selected wine, and the pairings were flawless — enhancing the flavors of the dishes in all the right ways. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining and outstanding service in Siracusa.

Our friends brought us here for dinner and the food was amazing! Best steak I’ve ever had. It’s very nice that you can see the dry aged meat in the fridge and you can pick which one you want. It’s a great place to go in a small group so you can share the steaks. They also split the starters for you and the dessert was amazing! The staff were very nice and spoke English. They also have the menu in English. Must try!

Amazing food gd stuff owner is serving and we felt at home. Would come again for sure. I love it.

Dined here 31st August , didn’t have a reservation , but was made most welcome. The staff are very attentive and friendly , the sommelier helped us choose a delicious local wine. The food was amazing from start to finish , if in Siracusa you must try this place .
